Danny and Lindsay had gotten settled at his apartment. Danny, being a gentleman, had wanted her to take the bed and he the couch. "Dammit Danny, we're both adults. I don't see why there is no reason we can't share the bed. Besides you slept with me last night just fine." Lindsay ground out. He eventually acquiesced. Lindsay beamed and he muttered under his breath about stubborn country girls.
She walked up to the pool table and reverently caressed the felt. "You play Montana?" He asked. She grinned but he couldn't see her face. "A little" Danny catalogued that little tidbit for later and laughed as her stomach growled. She colored softly. Danny smirked and walked into the kitchen. He began pulling ingredients out of the cabinets as he went. She quirked an eyebrow. "You cook?" "My ma would skin me if I couldn't." He laughed. "But most of the time I don't cook for just me." He made fettuccine alfredo with pan fried chicken breast. He served them and waited for her to try it before he started eating. With her first bite, she moaned softly and her eyes closed. Danny flushed and started eating so he could think about something besides the outfit she was wearing and what other delicious sounds he could coax out of her.
After eating Lindsay insisted on washing the dishes. "It's only fair. You cooked." "It's only a few dishes." "Be that as it may, you cooked so I'm washing the dishes. Now out of the kitchen." He raised his hands in mock surrender. "Yes Ma'am." He walked into the bathroom to change while she cleaned up. It only surprised him how quickly she finished. He settled on the couch and turned on Sports' Center, as she went to change into something more comfortable.
She came out in Soffee shorts and a camisole, which Danny thought ironically that it covered more than the previous outfit. She settled in on the other end of the couch. They watch the recap of the game and the commentary before tiring of the same comment being repeated constantly. Lindsay took the remote and switched it to the SciFi channel. She cheered a little when she saw 'Megalodon' was on. The movie was about halfway through when Danny's phone rang.
"Messer." "Hey Dan. You remember Annalyssa?" Danny blanched and Lindsay looked at him curiously. "Unfortunately, why?" He asked. "Heard from her lately?" "God no. Why?" Danny asked suspiciously, narrowing his eyes. Flack floundered for a second. "Uh...ya know...just curious." He replied and hung up. Danny stared at his phone. "That was odd." He thought aloud. "What was?" Lindsay asked. "That was Flack. He asked me if I had seen this girl that stalked me in high school." She cocked an eyebrow in askance, but he shook his head.
Danny sat there thinking awhile, he looked over at Lindsay and she was watching 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. He realized that he had in fact seen the menace. He had been on his way to his parents' house a few months after Louie passed, and she came up to him on the sidewalk in front of his parents' house. She said how sorry she was about Louie passing, and how her brother shouldn't have done that to him. He quickly dialed Mac.
"Taylor." "Mac, it's me." "What's up Danny?" "So...I'm pretty certain Don told you about Sonny's sister stalking me in high school." Lindsay looked over at him. "Yeah." Mac replied, waiting for Danny to elaborate. "When he called and asked if I had seen her I forgot I had. A couple of months after Louie, I was going to my parents' house for dinner. She came up to me on the sidewalk out front and said she was sorry about what happened to Louie and how Sonny shouldn't have done him that way. She asked if we could meet up for coffee or something to catch up. I told her I was really busy. Then my ma comes outta the house yelling at me to come eat like I was a kid again." He chuckled. "I remember telling my parents not to say anything to her if she asks about me." Danny sighed. "Do you think this could be her? I suppose with the help of the boys?" He asked.
"I don't know." Mac answered honestly. "But I intend to find out." He paused. "You and Lindsay okay?" Mac questioned. "Yeah, we're good. I fed her not too long ago and now she's watching Star Trek." Danny said, chuckling. Mac laughed. "Alright. Just don't kill each other." Danny laughed. "Sure thing, Boss." He ended the call. Lindsay watched Danny silently, he seemed to be in his own world, unsure how or even if to broach the subject. She decided that for now she was going to let it go. She turned back to the television and saw that Star Trek was over and one of those stupid filler shows was on. She quickly flipped to the IFC channel and saw that 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' was on. She grinned and settled back into the couch. When Danny came back to the land of consciousness, he realized what movie was on. "Aww C'mon Montana. Don't we see enough of this at work?" He pleaded. She smirked. "It's this or 'Jeepers Creepers' " Danny couldn't suppress the shudder at the mere thought of that movie. "Fine." He pouted. "But I get to pick the next one." She nodded, seemingly agreeing with him.
