Chapter 7: Origins of a Legend

Flashback- Thursday Evening- Metropolis- Luthor Penthouse

Lionel Luthor sat in the office room that was located in his grandiose and lavish penthouse. The penthouse was at the top of one of the largest buildings in the vast and popular city; it had a beautiful view of almost everything that Metropolis, the city of tomorrow had to offer, it was a view that not many would ever get to see and that many would kill to see just once.

Lionel cracked his neck and turned away from the magnificent sight that he had the privilege to see on a daily basis and he looked at the stack of papers on his desk. He reached up and shifted through the stacks until one folder in particular caught his attention.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"M-Mr. L-Luthor" came the stuttering voice of Otis.

"OTIS I SAID I DIDN'T WANT TO BE DISTURBED!" Lionel shouted but as soon as the words left his mouth the door to the room was pushed open and Otis went tumbling to the ground. Lionel looked up to see a red haired man in his early thirties confidently stroll into the office. He stood at 6'3, had blue eyes, and an even skin tone. The man had a powerful build and it could be seen through black and silver uniform with an X over the left side of his chest. The man had guns on his hips along with several throwing knives, and he had two swords attached to his back.

He had his blue eyes trained on Lionel and never once did they falter.

Lionel shifted in his seat as the mysterious man came to a stop in front of his desk.

"Luthor"

"Colonel Rick Flag Jr." Lionel started before a slight smile appeared on his face "To what do I owe this unannounced visit."

"The Facility…why isn't it finished by now?"

"Because I'm still considering the deal that was presented to me." Lionel replied while picking up one of the files on his desk and tossing it in front of Colonel Flag.

"The money is more than adequate Luthor, what else is there to consider."

"HA! Colonel Flag I have more money then I know what to do with already, and I must admit more money is good but it doesn't…..it isn't good enough for this deal."

"What do you want?"

"Clearance." Lionel replied with a hard stare.

"No." Colonel Flag responded while folding his arms across his chest.

"Well then you'll have to get someone else to build your secret lairs…someone else to supply you with your state of the art weapons and brilliant cutting edge scientists."

"There's more than one way to skin a cat Luthor"

"Not when you're the only cat left in the litter Flag." Lionel replied while slowly standing from his seat.

"I'll find someone else."

"Who?" Lionel questioned "There is no one left that has the resources that I do….the Wayne's are dead and if they were alive they would be too self-righteous to go along with you and your secret military bunch."

"Queen"

"Queen is a….friend, one phone call from me and you'll be stone walled with him and correct me if I'm wrong but did he not state that he was moving away from Military contracts. That's right, he's focusing more on city projects in his hometown Star City. Face it Colonel, I'm you're best bet….the only bet and all I ask is clearance to all projects that you and Task Force X are commissioned to handle."

Colonel Flag, stared at him for a long second as he silently moved through his options, but the more he thought about it the more they all led back to Luthor. Lionel could see that he was gaining the upper hand and so he decided to capitalize.

"Flag you know what I bring to the table, and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't my facility in Nevada adequately holding the Martian."

Colonel Flag recoiled a bit in shock.

"How the hell do you know about the Martian!?" he exclaimed while slamming his hands down on the desk.

"That's a little secret of mine."

"…..I don't get you Luthor, obviously you're resourceful enough to find out everything you need to know about what goes on in Task Force X….so why this Clearance charade."

"Another one of my many secrets Flag….but that's beside the point. Do we have an agreement, production of the facility in Smallville will begin again but only if we have a deal."

Colonel Flag snarled a little and he heaved a heavy sigh.

"Fine…we got a deal; you have your clearance but only under my say so. You can't go anywhere without me or one of my Task Force members."

"That's more than fair."

Colonel Flag scoffed and he briskly turned and stormed out of the office and was quickly followed by the bumbling Otis.

Lionel smiled to himself and once he saw his unexpected guess leave he quickly reached into his expensive suit pocket and he retrieved a cell phone. He dialed a specific set of numbers and he put the phone to his ear.

RING! RING! CLICK!

"Lionel Luthor…this is a surprise."

"Let's cut the pleasantries….listen I've just secured an entry point into Task Force X, tell the other members of Veritas that I shall take the lead on what we discussed."

"The others won't like that Luthor."

"You say that as if I give a damn." Lionel stated before hanging up the phone and tossing it onto the desk, "It's all coming together." He whispered while linking his hands together.

Next Day- Friday- Smallville High School

Clark Kent and Pete Ross walked up the steps of Smallville High and joined in the dozens of students shuffling through the crowded hallways trying to either get to their locker or to their first period class. The two friends smiled and laughed as they discussed a particularly heated basketball game between the two of them yesterday afternoon.

As they talked they rounded the corner but when they did that Clark suddenly came to a stop and just stared ahead. Pete looked at him and then followed his line of vision and smirked at what he saw.

"Lana Lang" Pete said as he and Clark watched her put up what looked like flyers on the wall "Lana Lang…Lang Lana, Lana Lang. What is there to say other than...?"

"Perfect" Clark finished.

Pete laughed a little.

"Ask her out man, you've had a jones for her for about two years now…isn't it about time you…you know took the next step."

"We're friends Pete, friends don't date."

"Says who?"

"The movie Pretty in Pink." Clark replied.

"Clark, for the sake of our friendship, I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear you say that." Pete responded in deadpan like voice.

Clark smirked a little and rolled his eyes.

"I'm serious though man…if you like her then go for it, what's the worst that can happen?"

"Forget it Pete" said Clark.

Pete eyed him for a second before grabbing him by the arm.

"HEY LANA!" Pete shouted out loud.

"PETE NO!" Clark growled.

Lana turned to see Pete and Clark heading right for her.

"Hey guys"

"Hey" Pete replied confidently.

"Hi Lana" said Clark with a slight smile upon his face, "What's going on?" he asked while tilting his head towards the flyer on the wall.

"This? What you guys don't know about the under the stars dance. It's pretty much what everyone is talking about."

Pete smacked himself in the head as the dance crossed his mind.

"That's right, the under the stars dance." He replied while turning to Clark "A very romantic dance where we have to get dates." He continued suggestively, "I have to find a date…hey I'll catch you two later"

Pete walked passed Lana and down the hall but as he was going he turned toward Clark and smiled at him. Clark pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes at him for a split second before turning back to Lana and smiling.

The two stood there looking at each other shyly and awkwardly.

"So" Lana started.

"So…uh….the dance."

"Yeah"

"Are you going with anyone special?" he asked.

"Not at the moment but….but I'm hoping that'll change soon."

Clark's smile widened a little and he looked down at his shoes before gathering his courage and raising his head.

"I….uh….was wondering…uh…would you like to…." he started before he was interrupted.

"HEY LANA!"

Clark and Lana looked to see the handsome Whitney Fordman, Captain of the Football team and star quarterback rushing over to the two of them.

Whitney reached Lana and he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek that surprised her and Clark at the same time.

"Uh…Whitney, hi" she responded with a curious look on her face.

Whitney smiled at her and then looked at Clark.

"Kent"

"Whitney" he responded.

Whitney moved in-between Clark and Lana and he ran a hand through his perfect blonde hair.

"Listen Lana, I think that you and I should go to the under the stars dance together. I really like you and I think that you like me too, so what do you say?"

Lana looked at him but she looked past him and at Clark who had his head hung low.

"Whitney….I'd say you're too slow, Clark already asked me to the dance and I said yes."

"I did?" Came Clark's voice before Whitney turned to look at him, "I mean, yeah I did."

Whitney stared at him before putting a smile on his face and turning back to Lana.

"Good for him then, well, I guess I'll be going stag."

"I guess so." Lana responded

Whitney scoffed before he gathered what was left of his dignity and quickly moved away from the two of them.

Clark watched him go for a second before he looked at Lana again.

"So, I guess we're going to the dance together."

"It looks that way." She said with a smile.

"Uh…cool, so I'll…uh call you."

"I'd like that Clark"

RINGGGGGGGGGG! Went the sound of the bell.

Lana moved towards him and quickly kissed him on the cheek before walking past him and on to her class.

"See you later Clark."

Clark rubbed the side of his face affectionately

"Yeah" he whispered "See you later."

Few Hours Later- Kent Family Farm

Jonathan was outside tending to the horses, or at least attempting to tend to the horse against the heavy blowing wind. He stopped what he was doing and he looked at the darkening sky with a slightly worried look upon his face.

"There wasn't a forecast for rain today" he whispered to himself

"JONATHAN!" came a shout.

Jonathan turned his head to see Martha rushing right towards him.

"Jonathan!"

"What is it Martha?"

"There's a tornado warning being broadcasted right now on TV. They saw the Tornado is a bit further out but it'll past through here soon."

"Oh no…how long do we have?"

"They're not sure, but all the schools are being evacuated right now and the sheriff is urging everyone to get to their storm cellars. We need to get Clark."

"Alright, we'll go and get him and with him helping me we can get everything tied down before the Tornado hits, let's go."

25 minutes Later

The students of Smallville High carefully and calmly filed out of the school and to their awaiting buses, cars, or parents who had arrived in a very timely manor. The staff had received the tornado warning and they had reacted according to their protocols concerning the warning of a Tornado of the magnitude that was being predicted. It was still very far out so it gave them enough time to evacuate the students and get them to their homes.

The teens made their way out of the school and among them were Clark Kent and Pete Ross. Pete and Clark talked amongst themselves mostly about how he had finally gotten a date with Lana after pining after her for so long.

The two friends were heading towards the bus when Clark felt something hit him in the back of the head, it didn't hurt in the slightest but it still caught his attention.

Clark glanced to his right to see a football lying next to his foot; he slowly turned around and he saw Whitney Fordman and a few of the high school jocks standing a few feet away, laughing and pointing at him.

Whitney put a smug smirk on his face and he clapped his hands together.

"Sorry there Kent didn't see that big farm-boy head there…..you mind giving me a little help and throwing it back."

Clark narrowed his eyes at Whitney and he bent down and picked up the football, he twirled it in his hands a few times before throwing it at him.

The football spiraled perfectly through the air and hit Whitney directly in the chest sending him flying back and to the ground groaning.

Clark let a smile grace his lips as he saw Whitney on the ground grabbing his stomach.

"CLARK!"

The young teen turned to see both of his parents looking at him but more importantly both of them had a disappointed look on their face. He released a sigh and then hung his head.

"Uh-oh"

Inside Pick up Truck

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING CLARK! YOU COULD'VE HURT THAT KID!" Jonathan shouted while applying a little more pressure to the gas peddle.

"HE WAS BEING A JERK DAD!" Clark shouted back.

"Sweetie just because he was being a jerk doesn't give you the right to do what you did" Martha replied in a calm voice.

Clark turned to her and shook his head.

"Mom, he hit me with the football first…so I returned the favor" said Clark.

"Grow up Clark" Jonathan replied "Learn to turn the other cheek."

"Why don't you just say it's okay to be a coward" Clark responded folding his arms across his chest and looking out the window.

A streak of lightening passed across the sky in the distance starling the Kent family.

"Jonathan did you see that!"

"I did Martha but that's just the pre-show…the news said the tornado-storm wouldn't hit for another few hours, we'll be home and safe in the cellar before that happens."

In the Distance- Steven's Family Farm

"DIE!" came a yell from a young woman that was in her early twenties. Another streak of lightening came from the sky and it hit her but instead of electrocuting her she channeled it and hit the black and silver Task Force X soldier sending him flying back and to the ground.

Once he was down the young woman turned and continued to run through the open farm field and towards what looked like a thick forest.

"SON OF A BITCH! COME IN CONTROL! THE META-HUMAN IS GOING FOR THE WOODS! NO TIME TO WAIT ON GARRICK TO GET HERE, I'M IN PURSUIT!"

KRZZZZ "WALLER COLONEL FLAG WANTS HER BACK ALIVE!" KRZZZZZZ

Task Force X soldier Amanda Waller, cocked her weapon and she ran as fast as she could against the blowing wind and after the fleeing girl. Amanda glanced to the left to see her smoking and obviously dead colleague on the ground.

'Damn it…..this is why we need better security, luckily the Colonel got Luthor to sign off on the production halt so things should be up and running soon.' She thought to herself as she continued after her target. The soldier raised her high powered weapon and let off a few rounds.

POW! POW! POW!

The young woman continued to run until she felt a bullet pass through her thigh which made her fall to the ground flat on her face.

"AHHH! ARGHH!" she screamed in pain.

"YES!" Amanda shouted while coming to a halt and catching her breath, she reached towards her ear and hit her communication piece "Control this is Waller, the subject is down, I'm bringing her back."

KRZZZZZZZZ "Copy that Waller, be advised though, wait for Special Agent Garrick to arrive on scene before moving the project" KRRZZZZZZZ

Amanda scoffed.

"Screw Garrick" she said under breath as she continued on towards the screaming and writhing target.

The Young woman rolled over onto her back all the while grabbing her profusely bleeding leg. She looked up to see Amanda stalking towards her and cocking her weapon back again. The young woman knew what was going to happen, she knew it and she knew that she wouldn't be able to escape again; fear...unyielding and spine gripping fear flooded her entire body.

"No…"she whispered "No….J-Just…leave me alone…p-please I wanna go home. Y-You people…lied to me."

Amanda didn't stop moving forward.

The fear that was gripping her started to turn to anger.

"L-Leave…M-Me….ALONE!" she shouted at the top of her lungs, "DO YOU HEAR ME LEAVE ME ALONE!"

The girl's eyes turned a solid green hue and she rose from the ground.

Amanda Waller stopped walking when the sky above her suddenly turned even darker, almost to a solid black. The wind kicked up even more and lightening could be heard striking the ground all around.

THOOM! THOOOM! THOOOOM!

"JESUS!" Amanda shouted diving out of the way of a bolt of lightening. She looked up to the sky again and she rolled out of the way just as another lightening bolt hit the ground where she was laying. Amanda heaved a sigh but it was premature as a massive tornado touched down behind the young woman and zoomed directly for her. Amanda had just enough time to gasp to before the Tornado sucked her up.

Main Road- Pick up truck

"Oh My God look at the sky" said Martha.

Clark looked out to see that the entire sky had suddenly turned black.

"What's going on?" Jonathan whispered just as the clouds above lit up and then a dozen lightening strikes hit the ground several yards in front of them. One f the lightening strikes hit an SUV in front of them and made it flip over. Jonathan's eyes widen, "WHOAHH!" he yelled while slamming his feet on the brakes swerving out of the way of the SUV that almost came down on top of them.

The red pick up truck and the other cars on the road came to a complete halt, everyone was awe struck at what was happening; more lightening struck and just as the last lightening bolt hit the ground five 3.5 mile wide and violently spinning Tornadoes touched down all around them.

"OH MY GOD!" Martha screamed as one of the five tornadoes zoomed right for them and lifted up their truck.

Inside the Tornado

An errie silent calm was present within the violently turning twister, but despite the calm the yells and screams from the people trapped within it were anything but calm.

Kent Pick up Truck

"AHHHH!" Martha screamed at the top of her lungs as they spun around and around in the tornado. Jonathan let go of the wheel and grabbed Martha and Clark and held them tightly.

CRACK! Went the sound of some debris hitting the window and cracking it slightly

"HOLD ON!" he shouted trying his best to protect them.

Clark closed his eyes and he leaned into his father's embrace but at that moment he could hear screaming but it wasn't just screaming from his mother but screaming from other people trapped in the tornadoes that had suddenly appeared from out of nowhere. Clark could hear them all as well as the destruction being caused but through all of that, all of the sounds around him his ears managed to make out two distinct voices in particular.

"AHHH! SOMEBODY HELPP!"

"Lana" Clark whispered to himself.

"AHHHHHHH!"

"Pete"

Clark heard his friends and he heard his family; and in hearing them he slowly opened his eyes and pursed his lips together. He listened to each of them for a just a little longer before he removed himself from his father's embrace. He looked up towards the roof of the pick up truck and he balled up one of his hands into a fist and then slammed it into the roof.

BANG! Went the sound of the metal bending outwards.

"CLARK WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!" Jonathan yelled

Clark looked at his fist and then at the bent metal above him.

"I didn't eve try hard." He whispered. He looked at the roof again before slamming his fist into again, again and again. Each time his fist bent the metal outwards more and more. Jonathan reached over and grabbed Clark by the shoulder.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"

Clark turned and looked at him.

"I'm…I'm getting us out of here. Just trust Me." He replied before focusing and punching the roof as hard as he could.

RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCH! Came the sound of the whole roof being knocked off.

Jonathan and Martha saw the roof of their truck go flying off and into the debris that was in the massive tornado. They felt the wind whipping and slapping against them and they were suddenly lifted out of the truck but they were quickly grabbed by Clark. Clark braced himself against the fast moving wind and in doing that he wasn't sucked out of the truck like his parents. He stood up from his seat and he pulled them closer to him.

"HANG ON TO ME!" he shouted.

Jonathan and Martha both grabbed onto Clark for dear life. Clark looked around and saw nothing but dark spinning clouds and so he looked up and that's where he spotted the circular opening at the top. The young teen gritted his teeth and he crouched gathering and channeling his strength to his legs like he had done so many times before.

"HOLD ON!" he shouted before he pushed off with all of his might just as their car was smashed by a giant chunk of land that had been uprooted.

Clark with his parents in tow flew high into the air. The intense wind pelted against them but it did nothing to slow Clark ascent through the hole at the top and into the air.

In the air

Jonathan and Martha looked down and they could see the spinning tornado as they sailed away. They saw the other tornadoes and several lightening strikes hitting the ground and tearing large chunks from the earth but their main focus was on their adoptive son. Clark held them tightly and for a moment they both swore they were hovering in the air before they started to plummet to the ground below.

Clark focused against the force of the wind against him as he prepared himself for a landing. He could feel his parents grip on him tightening and it only made him focus more so he wouldn't hurt them.

The ground was coming closer and closer.

"HERE WE GO! HOLD ON!" Clark shouted before impact.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Clark slowly walked out of the medium sized crater with his parents still clinging to him. They were all breathing heavily completely shocked at what just happened. Clark gently set them down on the hill they were on and he turned to look at the still spinning Tornadoes behind them. When he jumped out of the truck he had landed about a mile and a half away from the scene. Jonathan, Martha and Clark looked around as far as they could see they saw dozens of Tornadoes spinning wildly all across area destroying everything in their path.

"Dear God" Jonathan whispered as he pulled Martha close to him. Clark paid little attention to the other Tornadoes around him, the teen tilted his head and focused his hearing and he could still hear Pete and Lana screaming for help along with other people from his school or from around town.

"Guys you need to stay here" he said.

"What….wait Clark wait you can't go back…." Jonathan started.

"I have to Dad. Pete and Lana are in there and I have to save them." He said right before he zoomed away with his speed. Jonathan and Martha watched him go unable to stop him.

Tornadoes

Clark came to stop in front one of Tornadoes and he braced himself against the heavy whipping wind and the chunks of earth that were spinning around the bottom of the Tornado. Clark turned his head to the right just as a large grassy chunk of the ground came flying towards him. He dipped his shoulder and closed his eyes.

BAM! went the sound of the chunk slamming against him but upon impact it shattered into small chunks and harmlessly flew away and back into the spinning tornado. Clark opened his eyes and looked at his shoulder.

'It…It didn't hurt.' He thought

"HHHHHEEEEELLP! HELLLP!" came the voices of the people trapped in the spinning Tornado. Clark snapped out of his brief daze as he heard Pete's voice and he focused in on it, he looked up towards the Tornado in front of him and he narrowed his eyes; his eyesight zoomed in and he saw Pete's parent's car twirling within the wind and it was dangerously close to colliding with another car that spinning too close. Clark pursed his lips together and he pushed off the ground sailing upwards.

Clark easily passed through the harsh winds and he continued upwards nearing the two wildly spinning vehicles. He sailed in-between them and grabbed both of the cars by the bumpers and dragged them along as he passed through the other side of the Tornado.

Clark gritted his teeth against the weight of both cars in his hands but he held onto both of them and landed on the ground safely. He turned to the left and he focused on Pete and his family as they were holding each other. Clark smiled when he saw that they were safe and then he zoomed away just as they turned their heads towards him.

Clark ran towards another tornado and he braced himself again and jumped right into it and against the wind.

Outskirts of Smallville- Steven's Family Farm

Agent Waller screamed at the top of her lungs as she twisted and rolled in the Tornado. She was deathly afraid of heights not that she would ever admit it to anyone but in her current state she was frightened more than she had ever been in her life. Amanda rolled and quickly found herself upside down but while she was upside down she managed to see the bottom of the Tornado and upon seeing the bottom she saw a red and yellow streak going around.

The red streak started to increase in frequency and it looked to be rising up through the tornado and towards the top. Amanda suddenly stalled in the air as the tornado around her dissipated, and once it vanished she began to fall.

Amanda fell but she didn't hit the ground, she was caught by Special Agent Jay Garrick. Jay was a man in his late thirties or early forties, with chestnut brown hair, brown eyes and a clean shaven face. He was wearing a red and black outfit with a solid yellow lightening bolt going across his chest.

He looked at Amanda and then dead head at the young woman that was floating in the air surrounded by lightening strikes from the sky.

"I see you decided to wait for me" He replied sarcastically before dropping Amanda out of his arms and to the ground.

"Oooof" she grunted, she growled to herself while fighting to her feet, "You were too slow"

Jay scoffed.

"I'd like to see how long it takes you to run from half-way across the world."

"Luckily that's not what they pay me for….now do your job"

Jay glared at her for a long second but as soon as the second past the image of him faded. Amanda turned her head to the right to see a streak of red and yellow rushing towards the girl.

Jay ran forward at super-speed and directly into what looked like a vortex of lightening. When he got within range a bolt of lightening flashed towards him but he dodged it; another lightening bolt found its way towards him and he ducked under it in the nick of time.

Jay continued forward and he saw that the young woman he was supposed to subdue was nearing quickly. He held up a hand and curled it into a fist.

"I'm sorry about this" he whispered right as he got close to her and punched her in the face.

Elsewhere-

Clark landed on the ground with another car and before anyone could see that it was him he took off at super-speed. While he was running he dodged a lightening strike that came from the sky; he didn't dwell on it too much because the sound of Lana's voice spurred him forward.

He made his way towards the tornado that was the furthest away and once he reached it he ran through the bottom smashing through another chunk of the earth and into the center of the tornado where he came to a stop and looked up.

He braced himself against the intense wind; Clark narrowed his eyes and his eyesight zoomed in on the bus that was twirling high above him. He could here Lana screaming as well as several other students from Smallville High. Clark bent low and he jumped soaring towards the spinning bus.

Clark raised his hands and hit the bottom of the bus, he dug his fingers into the metal and the force from his jump allowed him to continue on and out of the Tornado.

Clark with the Bus in tow flew out of the tornado and then down to the ground with a loud thud. He quickly set the bus down and then he ran away but while he was running he focused his hearing and he let out a sigh of relieve when he heard Lana say she was okay to another teen that asked if she was alright.

On the Hill

Clark ran until he saw his parents patiently waiting where he had left them.

"Clark" Martha said, "Are you alright."

"I'm fine mom" he replied wiping some dirt chunks from his hair and turning back aground and looking at the Tornados however as quickly as they appeared they began to disappear and the sky suddenly turned blue again as if there had never been any Tornado or Storm.

"What the heck was that." Said Jonathan looking at the sky

"I don't know" Clark replied

Two Days Later- Kent Family Farm- Sunday- 8:00 am

Martha placed a plate of food down in front of Jonathan who had his eyes fixated on the TV in the living room. Since Friday every news channel has been covering the strange Tornado-Storm that had gripped the small town. Jonathan narrowed his eyes a bit and thoughtful expression crossed his face. .

"…Jonathan?" said Martha while looking at the far away look in his eyes.

"…"

"Jonathan"

Jonathan heard his wife and he turned his eyes towards her.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

Jonathan looked at her and then at the tv screen before he leaned back in his seat.

"I think it's time Martha…time to tell him who he really is"

"…..are you sure?"

"After Friday, yeah I'm sure. It's time for us to stop pretending that this will go away…it won't and we aren't doing him any favors by denying the truth."

Jonathan heaved a sigh and he stood up from the table and he held out his hand. Martha took her apron off and she took his hand and the two walked outside and to the backyard of their home.

Backyard

Jonathan looked towards the clear blue sky and he put a serious look upon his face.

"Clark….Clark I know you can hear me. Clark…wherever you are I need you to come here….we have to discuss what happened on Friday. Clark, your mother and I believe it's time. It's time for you to know the truth; the whole truth."
