I got five reviews for the last chapter within one day! Whoohoo! I'm sorry that I didn't keep my promise, but I have a good reason! I have started my freshman year this year and I'm still trying to get used to all this work and I barely have anytime to type anymore. Plus, my parents got divorced, so I hardly see my dad that much and I'm also trying to help out more around the house by doing chores without complaint, cooking dinner every once and awhile and helping to care for my two devilish little brothers. So please forgive me! I can't help but to feel compunction about this. My deal is still up with the review and update every three days, but if I don't update when I have gotten the five reviews in one day then that means school is keeping me busy or I died. Plus, sorry if this chapter is not amazing. I wrote it on my phone \_(".)_/
Splinter's eyes glowed with drastic worry as Leonardo told his tale of what had happened topside. Rubbing his beard, the rat master hummed in thought. "My son, I have seen a vision in which Michelangelo's soul-"
"Leo! Sensei!" Raphael burst into the room. Panting slightly, Raph's eyes showed impatience as he hurriedly wanted to get back to Mikey's side. "Donnie needs to speak to us about Mikey's condition!" Leo and Splinter looked at each other, pushing what Splinter was going to say to the back of their minds for the moment.
The three eldest family members ran to the infirmary where the genius brother sat at his desk with a microscope and was observing what appeared to be a blood sample. Mikey's blood sample. Donatello pulled back from the device, turning his head to turn his red-brown gaze at his older brothers and father.
"Guys..." The three oldest Hamato's picked up the tones of disbelief and relief in Don's voice. Their minds raced as thoughts about Mikey's condition could be. "Mike is perfectly fine."
"...?" Splinter…
"...!" Leo…
"...!?" Raph…
Silence…
Sighing, Don rubbed his eyes with his hands. "I checked his blood cells, multiple times to be accurate, to see if that new mutagen affected his DNA in any way that we might need to be cautious of. Apparently, his bloodstream flow, his DNA, everything is just perfectly normal. I guess that the mutagens that the Kraang created were failures."
"Then why did Mikey collapse after he was shot, Don, if the mutagen wasn't effective!?" Raph exclaimed in a surly voice as he pointed a green finger into Donnie's face.
"I said that they were failures, not that they didn't have any effect. The mutagen could still have some effects that could cause Mikey's state right now." Donnie pushed his brother's finger away. "Besides, Raph, the impact created when the projectile hit Mikey might have been really painful, causing him to fall unconscious to rid of the pain as it healed, as well." Don turned back to his little brother. "Oh and now's not the time to act like a curmudgeon."
Raph's eyes narrowed at the use of Don's bigger vocabulary, but he felt the insult coming from behind that word. He was about to give Donnie a 'little' bonk on the head before a voice called out "Yamete!" The three turtles turned to look at their master. Splinter sighed as he pinched his nose. "My sons, now is not the time to start an argument. Your brother needs to be cared for until he has recovered."
"Eugh…I don't need to be cared for I'm fine!" An excited voice shouted.
I woke up to the loud sounds of my family. It sounded like Donnie and Raph were slightly at each other's throats. That's new…usually it would be Raph and Leo who would do the fighting about what had happened topside. Well, nothing is too late to change a bit. I remember the shocked look on my family's faces as they turned to face me. Don seemed happy, but his stance was slightly off like he was thinking about something that bothered him in a way. Leo was beaming happily as he saw that my baby blue eyes were opened and fully aware about what was going on around me. Raph seemed relieved as tension melted away from his stiff muscles, he looked like he was exhausted after having to run around the city thirty times and then fight a hundred foot ninjas in a hour or so. Okay, I'm over-exaggerating, but he did look a bit tired. Master Splinter looked as stern as ever, but I could see the happy expression shining in his eyes. They all seemed so tired, unlike me. I felt so indefatigable and I really wanted to eat some heavenly pizza right now. I can just hear the lovely, cheesy beauty as it called my name from the kitchen. So of course I said the only thing I thought of.
"Dudes, can someone grab me a slice of pizza? I'm starving here!"
Yeah…it's short. Review if you want at least a five or six paged chapter within the next three days! I'm defiantly going to do it this time and school isn't going to stop me no matter what!
