Chapter 17: The meeting
(Spyro)
As soon as I called the Guardians and all our friends they came right away to the Dragon temple center room. And I ment every Friend thats was including the new guy named Willow. I looked at Burn and I knew the nice gentle dragon I knew wasn't there right now.
"Ok we are all here. Why is it you have called us all to this room then Spyro." Terrador said. I looked at them. "First off what I am about to say you all wont like. Malefor's here by War fang." I said The guardians seemed to be uneasy.
"And things are bad. Whole Ember and Winter were walking by the forest just for a quiet day Malefor attacked them." I said. "WHAT!" Flame said. He looked pretty upset that Malefor would even think about attacking his mate.
"As I was saying they attacked Winter and Ember. As you can see Winter is not here. Ember told us that after Malefor attacked them he took Winter and made her part of his dark dragon army. He aslo know burns true identity." I said.
"But how can that be. He was only around for the human conflict and there are man who never told his secret." Terrador said. I sighed. This next part was going to be hard to say. "Malefor has Burn's mother as well. Meaning he has a dangerous hand." I said.
"Well we seem to be in quite the spot then. Malefor is outside the city walls and he has succeeded in capturing two people close to you Burn. The problem is if we attack I can't guarantee there survival." Cyril said.
I knew were he was going with this. and by the looks on Burn's face he knew to. "If it comes to the worst. Ill do what has to be done. But I don't want to wit any more. We have to strike back now. We have the people and I know our friends will be there to help." Burn said.
"Whoa back up. Im all for stopping this dark lord. I mean I wont have a home to come back to if we don't. But I never agreed to fight a war isn't there some other way." Willow said. I sighed looking at him.
"If there was some other way me and Cynder wouldn't have fought him and trapped him in the core when we did." I said. Course if we did that then it would have also ment Burn would never had to come here and fine me and Cynder.
"Look things are bad ill be the first one to admit that. Burn we can't wait for you to unlock that last breath. We have all gotten stronger since we last faced Malefor's armies. I say its time we start striking back." I said.
The guardians just looked at me with a blank expression. "Your right. Ether way we cut it we have no choice. well have to make a stand and fight. The time calls for it." Burns said. I nodded.
"Well if er are going to fight we need a plan of attack." Terrador said. "Exactly to many things can go wrong to many possibilities that can happen that can be avoided if we don't plan our move carefully." Volteer said."
"What plan could we make. Malefor for sure is already having his army line up against our gates as we speak. If we don't act now I fear the whole city may be in danger" Burn said.
"I know your eager to get Winter and your mother back. But we can't just go charging blindly in without knowing our stratagies first." Terrador said. "What stratagies. Malefor has us he has cut off all access to the city." Burn said.
We all sighed. We knew he was right. The only way out of this was clear. We had to strike now or we risked losing a lot more then just a few parts of the city. We would be losing a lot of our people to.
"Ok I think its time Terrador. We have no other choice we either attack now or not at all because Malefor will have the upper hand and we will have lost the war if he does." I said.
"Very well. It appears we have no choice in the matter. We must strike back at Malefor while we can. I want every dragon taking part in the defense ready. We have no idea whats about to happen. And I want us prepared." Terrador said.
(Burn)
I looked at them all and nodded and left. It was time for me to reclaim what was mine. Malefor had gone to far this time. Over the past 2 years that we were here things were going from bat to good to worse.
Malefor has been coming at us from every angle. First he turns me Corbin and Cynder to free him. Then he has us go on this long mission to kill or capture our friends. It never ended well.
All this ended up with me losing Storm and Crunch to Shadow Corbin's dark dragon side. Of course after Crunch was killed I was freed from my dark dragon prison. I had not only his memories of what I did but I knew how Cynder felt.
If any thing I knew all to well how she felt. She had to deal with all those deaths she had caused and all the pain. Spyro was the only reason she was sane. And with me Winter was my Anchor.
And now Malefor has her. And I wasn't about to give up just because he made her part of his dark army. If he thought that he had the upper hand one me he had another thing coming.
One thing was for sure that Malefor had succeeded in doing. He pissed me off and I wasn't going to let hime get away with taking my mate away from me. I looked at the wall in the distance.
I wasn't about to let him win. I was going to fight him till the very end even if it cost me my life. I wasn't about to lose her not like my brother not again. I sighed taking in a deep breath.
I didn't notice Cynder there till later. "I know it must hurt knowing he has her Burn." Cynder said. "It does but i know I'll get her back." I said. We looked at each other. "Im ready Cynder lets move Malefor need to pay for what he did to every one thats including you." I said.
"Author" Hey every one. I know this story has been long and I know others need to be made. But I just wanted to say thanks for sticking with this story. The whole series actually. I may not be a good writer but I do appreciate it when people read and like what I make. This series has been fun for me to make and now that its almost over i'm sad to see it end. Thanks for readying I hope you engoy the last six chapter that come.
