Chapter 19: Chasing Malefor

We knew that even thou it was the first attack. There was no way we could survive the second. We had to act. We had to strike back at Malefor once and for all. The problem with Malefor was he never gets his hands dirty.

He had to pay for all he did. We weren't going to imprison him this time. This time we were going to make sure he doesn't cause anymore trouble. It had been a long time since we last fought him and won.

We weren't going to fall this time. We had friends. We were going to take him on as a team or we wont take him on at all. It was that simple. Fight together or we fall together.

I was sitting against the wall and saw Burn go by. I got up and ran to catch up with. him. "Burn wait." I said. He turned and saw me coming. "Hey Cynder hows your leg feeling." He said.

I looked down at my bandaged leg and smiled. "It's doing fine just a few healing crystals and it should be as good as new." I said. "Look I need to talk to you about Winter. We need to free her before we beat Malefor. Chances are hell send her out to face us before we take him on." I said.

"Cynder. Your right he'll do that. But when that time comes it will already be to late. We would have to leave now and your in no shape neither is Ember or Flame." Burn said.

"Burn go. You have Spyro, Corbin, and Willow. I am sure you both can take him on." I said. "You sure this will be dangerous. What if the city is attacked." Burn said. "We have the guardians Burn go get winter back and beat Malefor." I said.

I nodded and went to get the others and we meet at the gate 3 hours later. "Are we ready for this?" Spyro asked. "I think we all are. Malefor needs to pay for what he did to use all." I said.

We started walking out the city and it was quiet for a bit. Every thing was quiet as we made our way to the mountain were Malefor was hold up. Funny thing was it was the same mountain were I defeated dad and Mathias.

It was a little strange to see that the last time I was there was when I killed my dad and Mathias's goons for attacking us when we had just arrived. I also had something puzzling me. I hadn't seen Maria in a long time. No one has.

I was hoping she wasn't taken by Malefor she probably either found a way home or was taken by Malefor. I didn't like the last option. Basically if that was the case there was no way to save her at this point. The human form was gone.

I looked at every one as we walked on. The silence with us was a little disturbing. It was made better when Corbin finally spoke up. "So this Malefor I take it you all faced him before. But the location we are going to have you been there?" Corbin asked.

I nodded. "Last time I was in this location. I killed my own dad." I said. Corbin looked at me for a second. "And I thought I had a dark side. Why did you kill your own dad Burn." Corbin said.

"I killed him because he was trying to kill me. He tricked my brother and killed him. Nash died in this world taking a hit for me that my dad caused." I said. He looked shocked.

"So thats why Nash hasn't been seen for years. He is dead." Corbin said. "Yeah you must have missed the funeral. Every one at the school knew about it." I said. "And believe me when I say that that day was the best of my child hood life." I said.

We looked ahead to see that spyro and Willow had stopped. "Burn I think you may want to take this one." Spyro said. I looked further ahead to see a Black Dragon wearing my necklace.

"So you must be Blizzard I take it." I said. "You guess correct Burn. a fitting name right. Master let all my rage out that had pen pent up when you left me. This was how I felt inside when you broke your promise on never leaving again." Blizzard said.

Hearing this come from her gave me hope. IT ment she was still her but evil. "I still am yours Burn, why not come back become Scorch again. We can help master and make a new world." Blizzard said.

At this point I busted out laughing. "I fail to see whats so funny of my offer." Blizzard said. "Whats funny is that you and your master never figured it out. I mastered my darkness breath and powers a long time ago." I said.

Every one looked at me. "WHEN DID YOU DO THAT!" Corbin yelled. "My last training in ice breath. The reason it took longer was because It unlocked as soon as I mastered ice." I said.

Spyro looked at me and nodded. "Blizzard I will ask this once. Where is Malefor." I said. "Master is in the cave you chased Mathias to." Blizzard said. "Spyro you an the others stay out this fight. Im getting Winter back." I said.

Blizzard then laughed. "Good luck trying. I know all your powers moves and tricks. You told me every thing about you so I know how to beat you." Blizzard said. I knew she was right but what other choice did I have. I had to do it.

I stepped forward and got into the position that the guardians had so many times showed me how to do. "Come at me then Blizzard if you think you can beat me." I said.

For a long time they just stood there as if they were trying to read each other. Probably trying to see if they could read each others moves. But something told me that it was more complicated then that.

Something was telling me that they were waiting to see who made the first move. But then I noticed that starting at Burn's Tail is scales were going completely dark. I mean black not dark red.

He was matching strengths with Blizzard by bringing out his darkness. We were about to see if he had control over it or not. Willow was about to step up but Corbin stuck his hand in his way stopping him.

"I think he has control. If he didn't it would spread more rapid and he would turn on us." Corbin said. We watched as if on que different places on Burn's body turned black till all the red and blue were gone from his body.

He had some how managed a complete dark transformation but was holding control. Something that I myself was never able to do to begin with. It always ended wrong for me.

I just watched as Blizzard laughed. "I see so your going to fight me then Scorch." Blizzard said. "Scorch is dead you. I told you I had control and I plan on using the powers that your master carelessly left for me.' Burn said.

Then just like that they ran for each other. And when they clashed and started fighting it was the scariest thing I had ever seen. If this was darkness fighting Malefor was not gonna be easy.

If this was the way he was going to fight I don't think we were going to be able to beat him easily. If it was going to take darkness to defeat darkness then it would seem that 3 out of 4 of us were going to be the only ones able.

"I know what your thinking Spyro. Im not here to fight Malefor. I was asked to come so I could take winter back when she was saved." Willow said. I looked at Burn and smiled. He really did plan this whole thing.

The only thing left after he defeats Blizzard and gets winter back is to go after Malefor and that not going to be an easy job. But I think with the 3 of us we can take Malefor down once and for all.
