Chapter 21 Darkness against darkness

(Burn)

I was getting pissed. I couldn't land a single hit on this ass whole and I was not liking it one bit. He was the whole reason I was fighting a war to begin with. He was the reason that every thing I worked to protect was in danger.

I could see him smiling every time be dodged or blocked one of my attacks on him. He seemed to be laughing at all my attempts to kill him. Even thou they were bad attempts they were still done with my hardest effort.

But I couldn't do it. "See you puny excuse for a dragon. You may have the body but your still human. And Humans no matter what happens to them can never defeat me. You are just wasting your time and energy Burn." Malefor said.

This pissed me off. I jumped back after he landed a good claw mark on my shoulder. "Fine if it takes me over I don't care. you are a monster Malefor and I will see you stopped from all that your doing." I said.

I didn't want to but even thou I was only using have my darkness which was already dangerous in its self I had no real choice. I had to let my full dark self out. And that is just what I did.

I let my self get as black as I could and opened my eyes. I knew that they had that yellow color to them but I also knew that I had control. But for how long I had no idea. I just looked at Malefor and let out a growl.

"Very good let that side of you out. Let it build out of you because you cant beat me but I know I can control you with that power." Malefor said. I just laughed. "My minds been trained Malefor get ready to die." I said.

I charged Malefor again this time I sent him slamming against a tree. Before he could get up I sent a torment of attacks against him with my claws. I landed several hits in one minute.

I looked up and jumped back as Malefor got up to get to his feet. But as soon as he was up I let lose with a breath of pure black flames and kept it on him for a good few seconds before stopping.

I thought it was enough but it looked like to only have weakened him. "I see you have trained well young dragon but your going to need more then that to beat me." He said. It was then I started blowing Ice balls at him.

He was quick but I managed to hit him a few times. I had landed one in his shoulder his leg and two in his arm. I then switched to Earth and used it to build up my breath and hit him hard.

It got to the point to wear I then switched to electricity and zapped him several times aiming for the logged ice spikes I put in him. I stopped my attacks breathing hard hopping that even that would slow him down.

But to my surprise he still looked the slightest looked at me and just let out a laugh that made my blood run cold. "If thats all you have then I guess its my turn young dragon." Malefor said.

Next thing i knew i'm trying to dodge and block attacks but coming up short. I he bruised my foreleg scratched my chest dented my left shoulder and I felt like me tail was broken. Not to mention the gash he put on my back.

I don't know how he did it. But he did. And my body was sore I could barley move but I fought threw it and stood up facing him. I wasn't going to let this evil freak win. I couldn't. My world was on the line.

You ever reach that moment when you can tell by just looking at the circumstance that you know your going to lose but you keep fighting anyway. Well I could see it happening right in front of me.

Burn was fighting with his ass trying his hardest not to lose but it didn't seem to work. He couldn't do it. He was losing the fight but still fought on no matter what anybody said or did.

He was determined not to let Malefor win this fight. I couldn't blame him. Malefor took everything from me so long ago. Now I have a home that feels complete and Burn's fighting to keep both of them intact.

I have never seen a dragon fight so hard for so long before. I watched as he tried to get up facing Malefor. Malefor was at the point to were after Burn got up he grabbed him by the throat and threw him our way.

Before we knew it he took aim at the only thing here he knew he could kill in one shot. Corbin. I watched as he took aim and shot a ball of fire at him. I was to far to block it so I knew it was to late.

But then before I could blink Burn got up "CORBIN!" He said. I turned in time to see Burn get up with what strength he had left with he neck bleeding. He jumped straight at Corbin pushing him out the way and taking the Fire ball.

What we didn't know was Malefor combined 2 breaths. Ice and fire. Burn after taking that Fire ball laid there with and Ice spike in his chest. "BURN!" I yelled. Me and Corbin finished the apes and ran to him.

"Burn your gonna be ok hang on." I said. He was breathing heavily and he was looking at us. Corbin grabbed his claw keeping him awake. "Don't you dare Burn don't you dare. You have a family to get back to" Corbin said.

I could see him crying he knew his time was up. He looked at us. "p-p-please t-tell her Im sorry. T-tell my kids Im sorry." Burn said. Something appeared in his hand and I saw it. It was his last human possession.

"G-g-g-give it to her. And don't leave her alone." Burn said. Corbin took the small ring nodding. Burn closed his eyes and slowly stopped breathing. When it was done Corbin got up and this dark energy came out of him.

"MALEFOR YOUR GOING TO DIE FOR THIS" Corbin yelled. And I watched as Corbin once again changed into Shadow but this time it was the Corbin we know not Malefor's was going to end and it was going to end now.
