Chapter 24: Epilogue

I woke up with a jump. I don't know why but It was hard to piece together just what happened to me. I don't really remember much really. I look around to see I'm in a hospital room.
Why was I in here. I had to real clue. I felt like something was off like this room was not were I was supposed to be but I was here and nothing was going to change that fact.
I look around me and notice I had all sorts of tubs and wiring connected to me. They didn't hurt but they were there and they were telling me that either I had been in an accident or something unexplained happened.
Knowing me it was probably an accident that I could have avoided if I was careful enough but this was in no way shape or form careful. I looked at the button besides my bed with curiosity and pressed it.
Within minutes there was a girl in my room asking me if I was ok I just looked at her like she was nuts for a moment. The worst part of this whole thing was I never knew she called my name till the third time.
"Mr. River are you ok." She said. I snapped my head at her. "Yeah i'm fine but why am I in this room?" I asked Now she looked at me like I was crazy. I thought she was gonna call a doctor or something.
"You here because you had an accident hun you suffered head injuries and some sore bones your rip is cracked but not broken." The girl said. I looked at her. "How long have I been here?" I asked.
"You have been in here for a total of about 4 weeks. This is the first time you've been up actually." She said. I looked at her like this was nuts. How could I be out for 4 weeks.
Why was I in the hospital what was the accident that I was involved in and why do I feel like i'm missing something. All this was racing threw my head at this point. And I had no clue on what to do.
I looked up to her and nodded "I would very much like to get out of here now." I said. " Of course your mom will be here to collect you soon." The lady said and I sighed and laid back down.

It worked. I had actually prevented him from dying but then again he probably wasn't going to stay dead long. Souls like his are usually given a second chance at life.
They are usually told that if they want to live again they can but I couldn't let it happen. HE wouldn't remember a thing. Now it took a long time to lock his memories of the events in his head but I did it.
You can take or make people forget memories like that. Its something you need to have them lock up for a while. He will get his memory back just not for a long time.
For now I will let him live his normal life. But I think I'll keep an eye on him. Because I knew that in a few years time. The last chapter in his life was about to start.
And this time that grand adventure would involve him having to deal with his kids that he loved so much when he was alive here. I also realized I need to tell spyro and Cynder that he isn't dead but to keep it a secret.
I don't need people to go and try bringing a dead hero back that doesn't need to be in this world any more. I looked as he was venturing threw his world getting a grip on his reality.
I was sad to have to wipe his memory and his mothers but it was something that must be done. She will remember before him but it will happen. I turn away from him letting him live his life putting his book away in the shelf.
I turn to look at Maria my new helper and smile. It was time for every thing to finally be peaceful and I am for once very happy that our world no longer has to fear the dark lord.
Author: Well thats it. All three books are done. They took me forever to write but they are finally done. I hope you all enjoyed this series as much as I enjoyed writing it. I had to get a lot of time into thinking and a lot more time into writing these stories then I ever imagined possible. And if your all wondering. No Burn/River is not dead. I just had him die in the dragon realms. So we could have a conclusion. I have alone last story planned involving this character but i'm short on character ideas to fill in the spots. Illl just say that Im happy to have finished such an active and hard work in progress. I hope you liked it and thanks for reading and commenting as the story went along.
