This is a request for Queen Hobbit22 and my first attempt at this pairing. I find both Gold and Belle rather cute together.

I'm Happy

Summary: There is still a part of her that Belle wonders if she makes Gold happy after everything happen. When she brings it up to him and earns a strange laugh. Spying the tea cup on the counter, Gold answers, "I'm happy."

Putting the last few of the books she just finished reading away, Belle frowns a little seeing some of the couples in the library seem happy. A part of her wishes for a brief moment that Rumple can be that way with her out in the open than again he is a private man.

"Well time for me to head home," She mutters to herself before leaving the library she been working at for some time rather content there.

In the distance the sound of the mayor shouting at Emma Swan catches her attention. She look at the blond woman who stares at her hand with a look of boredom as Henry blinks glancing between his two mothers in confusion before noticing her. He gives her a wave which she returns. He's a great kid. He seems to enjoy spending time with her and Rumple a bit. She tries to remember when he's to come over to the pawn shop. Probably sometime in the week or the following week.

"Hn, I almost feel bad for the boy," the familiar voice of her love state a few feet in front of her. "Hello Belle. A good day at work?"

"Hello Rumple," Belle answers smiling at him earning a hint of his lips curling up wards making her heart beat fast in her chest. "Do I want to know what that is about?"

"No. You would find it troublesome."

".…Does it deal with Henry or Mary Margret?"

"The latter," Gold answers with a shrug.

"Ah," a look of understanding entering in the woman's eyes as a hint of a cheeky grin forming. "It's about when Emma had enough and she locked Mary Margret and Regina behind bars."

"Correct."

Belle giggles softly entwining their fingers together as they walk back to the pawn shop. Once inside the seed of doubt from earlier comes back. Is he happy with her? With all the events after Neverland and finding his son again has taken a toll on him.

"Um….Rumple."

"Yes, dear?"

"Are you happy with me?"

Gold looks at her for a moment before giving a strange laugh. Should it already be obvious by now? He loves this sweet woman. She changed him and loves him as is unlike her.

Spying the chipped tea cup, Gold answer, "Yes I'm happy Belle. I love you."

"I love you too," Belle said with a full smile stretching across her lips.
