Sorry, I'm gonna have to go with short and sweet today because I have suddenly found myself incredibly busy and struggling to write this chapter. I do have to say, some of your theories about this story have been far crazier than what I've been envisioning, so good job on the creativity.

When the baby boy's cries pierced through the room, all of Morgana's concerns fell away. It didn't matter that Merlin was gone or that she was all alone or that she'd been in agonizing pain for the last 10 hours. Because here he was, a beautiful baby with ice blue eyes and the beginnings of dark brown hair.

The nurse handed him into her arms.

"Do you have a name for him?" The nurse asked, a completely real grin plastered to her face.

Morgana thought about it. For the last nine months, she'd been thinking about it. But nothing seemed quite right, so she figured she'd wait to see the baby before coming up with anything. But even with the baby pressed into her arms, nothing came to mind.

"I'm not sure yet; I don't want his father to get mad if I choose a name he doesn't like," Morgana realized then how normal she sounded. Just a normal woman who'd just had a baby, for one moment she wasn't a powerful witch with a dead boyfriend. And it felt great.

"Oh, when's he supposed to get here?" The nurse asked conversationally.

"Right now," Merlin replied, rushing through the doors with a childlike grin. "Sorry, am I late?"

Don't worry, I'll make it up to you in next chapter, but I'm exhausted, and I love cliffhangers. I promise there will be more this week, and longer. Pinky swear. Follow and review if you enjoyed, but keep the "make it longer" to yourselves this week because I'm very busy and I have already taken that advice to heart. Next chapter will be at least a thousand words. You have my word.
