A/N: First multi chapter fanfiction... go easy? I got this idea from some other Harry Potter fanfictions I read where muggles go to war against the wizarding world.
Summary: Hermione was raised believing the wizarding world was a dangerous and evil place. She knew she was magical from day one, and so did her parents. Now she's been sent to get information on the wizarding world and this is one mission she isn't going to fail, even if the wizarding world isn't what she imagined.
Prologue
August 8, 1867
The strangest thing happened yesterday. The streets were near empty, only another man was in sight. He was clad in the strangest black robes I'd ever seen, most unbefitting of a gentleman. His head turned and his eyes searched for sight of something or perhaps someone. He did not notice me as I was hidden in the shadows and I decided not to come out, curious as to his actions. Imagine my surprise when he whirled on the spot and disappeared. Disappeared... I am certain I am not mad. I had moved forward cautiously and examined the spot he had been standing. Was this a trick? I had thought. But no, the man had truly disappeared. This was something I knew I would investigate.

My investigation has gone on for about 23 years. To my delight, I found more than expected. Much more. It has turned into something magical. If you are reading this, do not scoff. Do not look upon this book in disdain. You can choose to dismiss my words as the words of a madman, or you can think about the many mysterious happenings you read about in history books and newspapers.

My investigation is not alone. I have finally encountered others who somehow heard about my it from the witnesses I interviewed I suspect, but no matter. Aldéric Brasseur and Emelia Thatcher are two of said people and they are pure genius. The former is a rich Frenchman with a brilliant mind who has agreed to aid my our research. The latter is the greatest mind I've ever seen among the opposite sex and in general, one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. My hopes for this investigation have never been so high.

J.M. Granger died on September 6, 1898. He left behind a 3 children, 2 friends, and a secret organization that would grow to have devastating plans for the wizarding world in the future.
A/N: Yeah another author's note! Sorry! Not really though. Anyway just to clarify, the "opposite sex" part is not because I'm sexist. No. I'm a girl. That would be stupid. Anyways its there because 1893. Girls are raised to be wives and are taught only household skills and there really wasn't much gender equality. There were some feminist movements but not really. Plus even though J.M. Granger is a bright genius, (aren't all the Grangers?) he was stilled raised with a no-gender-equality mindset. Yeah so leave some reviews...or something.
