Chapter 10:
Third Person
Location: Mount Justice
Conner felt better after getting off the phone with Alex. She always seemed to know just what to say to cheer him up.
"Feel like heading to the beach," Conner asked Wolf sitting up. Sphere beeped and rolled to the door, while Wolf followed behind her.
Walking into the living room, Conner found the rest of the team on the couches, all in their costumes. This surprised him, because there didn't usually have patrol at this time, unless they were with their mentors or tracking down leads on the robberies-unless you count Dick following Conner.
"Hey, guys," Conner said.
"Hey Supes Jr.," Wally, Kid Flash, said, zooming over to the fridge.
"You guys okay," Conner asked, sitting down beside Artemis.
"Yeah...just really tried," Artemis said.
"And now we can relax for a bit," Wally said, dramatically felling onto the couch with a sandwich, and was hit by a pillow thrown by Dick, Robin.
"Hey," Wally exclaimed.
"Don't say that," Dick said.
"Why," Wally asked, moving closer to M'gann, Miss Martian, in case Dick decided to throw another pillow.
"Batman said that every time Flash says that things are 'quiet', 'easy' or 'it is time to relax' something goes horribly wrong," Dick said, giving Wally a watered down version of the Bat-glare.
"That's a bunch of-" Wally started
RED ALERT...RED ALERT...
SECURITY BREACH...
"THAT IS NOT MY FAULT," Wally yelled, as the team reach of to the control center. Pulling up the security camera, the team saw two android, like the once from the power planet, tearing down the hangar doors.
"Send a message to the League. We need help," Artemis said, grabbing her bow.
"We need to evacuate," Kaldur'Ahm, Aqualad, said.
"No time," Conner said, as the androids blasted through the doors.
"This is all your fault," Artemis said to Wally as she drew back an arrow.

Third Person
Location: Main Street, Happy Harbor
"That was fun," Alex said, walking down the street with her sister, arm in arm.
"I bet it would have been more fun if Conner had come with," Nicole said, smiling.
"Shut up," Alex said, blushing.
"Oh, Conner, I love going on those long bike rides with you," Nicole said, in an awful imitation of Alex.
"I hate you," Alex said, pulling her sister away.
"No you-Look out," Nicole said, grabbing Alex's arm and running to building and crouching down, as an android and someone came crashing down into the street. The android and person landing a few yards apart. When the each got up, the person was facing away from Alex and Nicole.
"Who is that," Alex whispered, looking at the man. He looked familiar, but Alex couldn't see his face to be sure.
"A friend, I hope," Nicole said, "Come on we have to go."
"I know him," Alex said, ignoring Nicole.
"No you don't...Come on, Alex. We have to get outta here and find Mom and Dad," Nicole said, tugging on Alex's arm.
"No wait," Alex said, staring at the man as he turned toward her.
"No. Now," Nicole yelled. And the android's head snapped toward them. It's eyes glowed a bright yellow before shooting a laser out at the two.
Both girl ducked down again and held each other waiting for the blast that never came. They looked up and saw the man-Conner-holding up a car, blocking the laser from them.
"Conner," Alex said, staring at the boy who just saved her and her sister from getting hit by a laser.
"Run...run now," Conner yelled, throwing the destroyed car at the android.
"Come on, Alex," Nicole said, pulling Alex away from the chaos.
"I was right about today," Conner said, as Alex and Nicole ran from the site. And as the rest of the Young Justice arrived on the site.
"What are these things after," Kid Flash asked,
"Who cares right now we need that thing away from people," Robin's voice came in through the comm, "Lead that thing away from main street."
"Aye, aye, Captain," Kid Flash said, and then turned to Superboy, "High or Low?"
"High," Superboy said, running toward the android and put all his strength in a jump that send him soaring high above the android and to the roof of a building.
'How long 'til the flying comes in,' Conner thought, taking another jump just as the android fired at where he had been.
"Kid Flash, I could use a distraction right now," Superboy said, dodging another blast.
"I'm trying but it doesn't want me," Kid Flash.
"These things only want Superboy," Artemis.
"Lucky me," Superboy said, just before the android smacked him down into a clearing. Superboy had made it out of town before the android had caught him.
"Target acquired," The android said, reached down for Superboy.
"Wrong," Superboy said, pulling off on the ground and landing a kick in the center of the androids chest.
"Supes, duck," Artemis called out from behind him, her arrow aimed and readied. Superboy dove to the left as Artemis released her arrowed and watched the arrow exploded into a green mist.
"What was that," Kid Flash yelled, throwing his arms up.
"Aquaregia Arrow," Artemis said, as the chest plate of the android dissolved away.
"It ain't over yet," Aqualad said, as him, Robin, and Miss Martian arrived.
"Wasn't there two of these things," Kid Flash asked, zooming around the android throwing rocks at it with cannon like speed.
"The other appears to have been weaker model than this one," Aqualad said, throwing an attack out.
"Why send two androids with one more powerful than the other," Miss Martian asked, sending large boulders at the android.
"Less questions, more fighting," Artemis said, shooting a grappling arrow at a tree and swing out of the way of an attack.
"Agreed," Robin said, throwing a few mines at the android. The explosion from Robin's mines and Artemis' arrows plus the attacks of Aqualad and Miss Martian knocked the android on it back.
Before the android could get up again, a green beam of light hit it and launched it out into space. The teamed out up and saw the League-Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Red Tornado, and Flash-arrive.
"What is going on here," Batman asked.
