Superman accepts Superboy from the beginning everything is going great until Superboy's new power's start to develop and they get out of control. Lex Luthor manipulates him to go rouge and he starts to attack the people he loves. Author's note inside. Rated M for violence and sex.

27. 3 years later

3 years later…Metropolis Park

A lighting storm hits the ground as it turns to fire, people ran for cover at the unexpected storm. Superman was there in a blink of an eye as he looks around as a portal opens.

"Superman can you handle it?" Batman's voice came on his com ear.

"I'll call if I need you." Superman tells him.

Two black shadows come out of the portal as it stays open. Both of them wearing black clothing, one of them has cover his head, one of his hands completely bandaged up and the lower half of his face-mouth, nose the only thing visible was his crystal blue eyes.

"Zod?" Superman automatically recognizes him.

Zod paid no attention to Superman as the other one in black, tattered clothing person punches him, then kicks, then grabs his arm twisting it around breaking it easily. Zod screams in pain, the shadow then grabs him by the hair tossing him back into the portal, it closes.

Batman, Flash, Wonder woman show up looking for Zod.

"Tells us who you are!" Flash yells out, if he could take out Zod, he must be powerful.

"Show us your face." Wonder woman says a little more calmly.

"Are you a friend or a foe?" Superman asks as he lands near his comrades all of them glaring at the blue eyed black, tattered clothing shadow.

He turns around, Superman sees his eyes it was his. "Oh my god." He says with a smile.

"What?" Batman asks him arriving in a batplane jumping off it ready for a fight.

"Come on!" he yells out as he starts to take off the scarf around his head and face. "Is it too much to expect after a lengthy separation to get some sort of heartfelt greeting?!" he asks as he takes it off completely, smiling at them, they look shocked to see him, Superboy-Kon-El-Conner Kent. Superman runs to him and fall into a warm and tight hug.

"Oh god Kon, I am sorry." Superman says first.

"You're sorry? I'm sorry." Superboy says to him his arms around Kal's torso, head on his chest. "I messed-up."

"I should have pulled you out of there."

"I was stupid."

"No, I was stupid."

"I was more stupid."

"Oh, boy, time to get you back home."

"I love you, Kal."

"Oh...kid." Superman sighs and hugs him tighter. "You have no idea."

Wonder woman smiles arms crossed as if she knew all along he was not dead. Flash smiles Superboy was back, the Team was going to be so happy. Batman smiles, Superboy had returned.

...Watchtower

"I'm here, what did you need?" Zatanna says with a sigh as she appears in a purple dust.

"I didn't call you." Nightwing says to her. "Did I?"

"Come to the cave." Zatanna says as she pulls out her phone as she reads. "Nightwing." She adds.

"Remember when I told you I didn't want anything to do with you? After Artemis died, yeah I meant that." Wally says wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Nightwing looks at his friend. "It doesn't help when you call 30 times and text 50 times." He adds.

"I didn't call you." Nightwing tells them. New Robin, Blue Beetle, Ravager, Batgirl, and Bumblebee look at them. Zatanna and Wally look at Nightwing waiting. "I didn't call them."

Batman's name comes on the computer.

"I thought you didn't allow him in the cave anymore." Zatanna says with a smirk.

"Batman, what are you doing here?" Nightwing asks as he walks up to him felling very territorial round his ex-girlfriend.

"Nightwing I-" Batman starts.

"You can't be here, we had a deal." Nightwing says to him. "You leave us to run things and choice the missions."

Superman is announced in the zeta beam, he walks in with a big smile on his face. "Did you tell him?" he asks Batman.

"No."

"Where is Megan?" Batman asks looking around for her.

"Here." Megan says as she walks up to him with Lagoon boy behind her.

Then they hear the computer voice announce a name they hadn't heard in over 3 years. Megan, looked shocked. Zatanna felt her heart stop. Nightwing looks at the bright light as Superboy stands there in his black clothing and smiles at them.

"I have to admit, seeing you're faces right now makes going to hell and back all worth it." Kon says with a smile.

"SUPERBOY!" Nightwing yells.

"Oh my god!" Megan yells looking at him with a smile.

"Kon!?" Zatanna yells and they run to him hugging him in a group.

"Oh my god! Kon you're live!" Wally yells out as he hugs him.

"Yeah, it's me, I'm me." Kon says with a smile. "You guys got old."

"Shut up." Nightwing tells him.

"You cut your hair." Kon says surprised as he touches Megan's hair.

They pull away from each other, Kon had an arm around Zatanna waist. Megan touches her boy cut hair. "Well, I just trimmed it." she says to him, obviously not just a trim.

"You never talked about cutting your hair."

"It was a spur-of-the-moment thing."

"A spur-of-the-moment, let's not tell anyone I'm pulling a G.I. Jane?'"

"Are we seriously gonna have this conversation when you've just got back?"

"Why didn't you tell me you were thinking of getting your hair cut?"

"It's just a trim." Megan tells him again.

"To blind people, it's just a trim." Kon says to her, Zatanna was smiling at the most idiotic conversation ever and she was loving it.

"Do you like it?" Megan asks him sincerely.

"Will you put it back if I don't?" Kon asks her.

"Kon!" Megan hits him on his shoulder.

Kon smiles at her. "Yes, I like it."

"Thank you." Megan says and the two girls hug him again.

Nightwing and Wally look at each other smiling.

"He's back." Wally says.

"He's back."

Wally's smile fades. "He's back." He says realizing they were going to have to tell him.

"And she's gone." Nightwing says realizing it as well.

They turn to look at Superman. "Did you tell him about…?" Wally asks.

"No." Superman says to him.

"So where are Red, Artemis and Kaldur?" Kon asks still hugging the girls.

"Oh." Megan pulls away.

"They didn't…" Zatanna stops looking at Kon pulling away as well.

"Oh." They both say at the same time.

"Kaldur is a two stabbing-"

"La'gaan!" Nightwing yells at him and stops him.

"What's going on?"

"He killed Artemis." Bumblebee blurts out still angry that her friend was dead.

"You're messing with me." Kon says to them, he looks at Megan and Zatanna, then at Wally.

"Wally-"

"It's fine." Wally says, Kon looks at him worried. "Ok, it's not fine, but-" Kon hugs him. "Crap." He mumbles he looks over at Nightwing and hugs Kon back. "You stink." He says after a while.

Kon pulls away. "Well excuse me for not showering in 3 years. It's a bit hard to when the rives run in blood."

"Ew." Wally says taking a step back.

"Oh I hugged him, I hugged him really tight." Zatanna says a little disgusted.

"Yes you do did." Megan says taking a step away from her.

"Fine, I'll go shower."

"And take off the black." Superman says to him.

"I don't have any clothes."

"Kon, you're home." Megan says to him. "You're room is still the same."

"Really?"

"Kon we wouldn't have giving it up for anything." Nightwing says to him.

"Alright, I'll go shower then you guys can catch me up on everything that's happen for the last 3 years, and introduce me to the newbies." He says pointing to them, he takes a step closer to Zatanna. "The bee girl and the bat chick look really familiar." He says to her, Zatanna smiles at him as he walks off.

Wolf jumps him tackling him down Kon elbows him in the head, Wolf gets on top of him barking, growling, chomping at him, Kon had a defensive position as he put his arm on his neck trying to not get his head chewed off. He puts his legs around Wolf's neck twisting him to the ground almost breaking his neck.

"Retaw." Zatanna yells out water in shock as water drops down to Wolf and Kon getting them wet.

"What the hell!?" Kon says standing up dripping wet. Wolf shakes off the water.

"You were fighting!" Zatanna yells out.

"Yeah, it's a pack thing." Kon says to her as Wolf tackles him back down this time licking him, Kon hugs him. "I missed you too buddy."

"Well I'm glad that happen after I hugged him." Zatanna says to Megan, Megan giggles.

"That's Superboy?" Ravager asks as he hugs Wolf, a little kid hugging his puppy.

"Yeah, the one the only." Nightwing says to her, Kon stands up as Wolf puts his head back on Kon's head patting his head.

"He's not what I expected."

"Appearances rarely show you the whole truth." Kon says to her.

"Go shower, you're starting to smell like wet wolf." Zatanna tells him.

…

Kon had gone to his room which was the same as it was as if he never left, he grabbed his jeans, a black t-shirt, boxers and new boots. He smells the clothes, it smelled like fabric softener. He smiles Megan had actually cleaned his clothes. He walks over to the restrooms where again they were the same, lockers on the side with names, his was still there.

Kon opens it up and smiles at his S t-shirt and fresh towel, his shampoo, body wash, and he guessed a new sponge. He takes off his black clothing his hood first dropping it on the floor, he takes off his black torn S-shirt, which was faded so it was just a black shirt with little red specks on, he pulls it off revealing his scars, bites, scratches, burns, swords, arrow, all kinds. He takes off his worn out boots how the hell they survived that long, he'll never know. He takes off his jeans, and boxers a nasty big teeth mark on his thigh and last his bandaged right hand, which was wrapped in cloths, and his finger nails where missing with a scar that looked like something went in his palm, he wiggles his fingers they hurt.

Kon grabs his things walks over to one of the shower heads turning on the hot water, he actually finches as the water hits him, he stands there just enjoying the hot water then starts to wash himself his hearing start to pick up a scream and he turns quickly but there was nobody around, his super hearing was back. He hadn't expected that. He had thought his powers would come back in a week or two. He covers his ears as he starts to hear traffic it wasn't working so he tries to pick a voice to hear to smooth him. He hears Batman's voice.

"You need to keep an eye on him." Batman says.

"I will." Nightwing says to him.

"I mean it, don't let him go off on his own."

"Don't you think your-" Superman starts.

"No I'm not, we don't know what he did, what happened to him, and until we know otherwise-"

"I'll keep an eye on him." Megan says to him.

"Tell the others as well." Batman says to Nightwing.

"I'm the leader Batman, you don't get to give my team orders."

"Kon needs a full psychological work up, we don't know what happen to him, he was gone for 3 years. If you want to put faith him after what he's been through, you might as well go back to being Robin."

"Alright fine."

"Where is he anyway?" Superman asks.

"Showering."

"For 5 hours."

"It's been 3 years give him a break."

Kon takes control of his power and pulls back, sighs.

He finishes taking his shower, he hadn't realized he was in there that long, he puts his new fresh clothes back on and looks at his right hand and arms filled with scars.

…

"So you guys never told me where Roy was." Kon says as he walks in wearing his black red-S hoodie sweater, jeans, only one glove on his right hand and boots. Batman sees it first but doesn't say anything.

"Roy got out of the Justice League when he found out he was a clone."

"He got in the Justice League? Wait he's a clone? Like me, sort of?"

"Yeah, he's the real Roy Harper's identical clone he was made to infiltrate the League and take them down about 2 years ago."

"Damn, so he just left?"

"He went out to find him but he hasn't."

"Alright, let's go." Kon says as he walks off. "That is of course if you changed your mind about keeping an eye on me." he says with a small smile walking out of the room.

"His super hearing is back." Superman points out.

"You should go after him." Batman tells them.

"I already regret this whole keep an eye on him thing." Nightwing says to Wally as they both walk following Kon.

…Star City

"Oh god not you guys again." Red arrow says as he walks on the roof. "Can't you just leave me alone."

"No, we brought back up this time."

"Let me guess, Kaldur?"

"Coming back from hell and seeing your family torn apart not exactly the best homecoming." Kon says as he steps out of the shadows.

"Kon?" Roy says mouth open. "I thought you were dead."

"Oh well in that case." Kon says with a shrug. "I have a message from God, he said stop being such an asshole dickhead."

"Holy shit, you're really alive."

"They told me everything." Kon says to him. "I'd be pissed at you if I wasn't so happy to see you right now."

"Kon you don't understand."

"Understand that you're a clone? Yeah I do. Now come on let's go home and shave that ridiculous beard off."

"I'm not going with you I have to-"

"Find Speedy? He's dead, get over it and come on you can catch me up on all the dirty detail between you Cheshire."

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I need to find-"

"Speedy?"

"Yes."

"Look dude, I'm worried you're running away."

"Well yeah, I'm fleeing. Like Bambi from a forest fire."

"What's a Bambi?" Kon asks him.

Roy sighs. "It's deer."

"You named a deer Bambi? Ok so…do you name deer's often?" he asks him a little worried.

"It's a cartoon Bambi's mom gets shot, then he falls in love and there's a fire and almost kills him."

"Oh my god? This is a cartoon?" Kon says shocked and turns to Nightwing and Wally.

"I have no idea what he's talking about." Wally says to him.

"He's been under a lot of stress." Nightwing conforms.

Roy looks at them unamused. "I cannot deal with you people right, I have to go."

"Wait Roy this is life, bad things happen. It's hard. You find your people, you find your person, and you lean on them." Kon says to him.

"Oh, god love you, Kon. You know, so many horrible things have happened to you, and maybe you're okay with it, but you shouldn't be."

"It's my life, and you were here for it, too. I mean, now you sound like the same scary loner asshole who rode in here on a motorcycle five years ago. Like the past five years have never happened?"

"Well, you know, a part of me wishes it hadn't." Roy snaps at him.

"Oh, ok, well, then you should just go then and you should not look back. Go." Kon says as he starts to walk off the roof.

"Kon-"

"No, you know, Roy, you're right. I'm not your person. And Oliver isn't your person. Your person is you, and it always has been." Kon says as he continues walking off the roof to the alley.

"Does he have his powers back?" Roy asks.

"No." both Nightwing and Wally run to the edge of the roof Roy catches up to see Kon siding down the building jumping to the other landing on his feet.

"Oh he is so cool." Wally says as he watches him walk off in the crowd, Roy and Nightwing turn to look at him. "You were both thinking it, I was just saying it."

Happy Harbor…beach

"Hey."

Kon quickly turns to see Batman standing. "How long have you been standing there?"

"About a minute." Batman tells him.

Kon turns back to the ocean sun set. "What do you want?"

"I guess I just wanted to…" Batman didn't really know why he was here.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Kon asks looking straight ahead. "There so many colors, it's too bad humans can't look at it for long without burning their eyes or having to turn away. It's so much more than a flaming yellow ball of fire. Pictures just don't do it justice. There's nothing like it." he says with smile.

"No sun in the Phantom zone?"

"There were two actually, just not like this one."

"Kon, I'm sorry."

"Don't be, you and everyone else is right. I do before I think-consequences be damned."

"Yes, but I was talking about what happen, before."

Kon turns to look at him. "Bruce, I forgave you a long time ago."

"Oh."

"Prison has a way of making the little things worthless. I'm sorry if you thought I was still mad at you."

"No, it's fine. I'm glad we cleared it up."

"I knew you and Superman , Wonder woman and the rest of the League had a list on me. I just didn't know that you would manipulate me like that. That's what really hurt."

"I'm sorry." Batman tells him.

"I'm sorry too. Family again?"

"Yes." Kon stands up and hugs Bruce, arms around his torso and head on his chest, Bruce being a head, shoulder taller than him hugs him back both arms. "It's all right kid. It will be fine."

…Mount Justice

"So should we do introductions?" Kon asks as Nightwing stands in the briefing room.

"Oh yeah." Nightwing says. "Guys this is Superboy."

"Kon." He corrects him.

"Yeah, Kon-El, when he's not Superboy." Nightwing says looking at Kon then turns to the team. "This is Robin, Ravager, and you know Bumblebee and our new Guardian."

"Right, Zatanna told me, I had the biggest crush on you in high school." Kon says to Karen.

"You did?" Bumblebee and Guardian both say at the same time.

"Yeah, you were all smart and athletic that was a huge turn on for me." Kon tells her honestly.

"It was?" Karen asks him.

"You had a crush on my girlfriend?" Guardian says getting angry.

"Well I didn't tell her that I was totally in love with her if that what you're worried about." Kon says to Guardian trying to calm him down.

"In love?!" Guardian yells out.

"You were in love with me?" Bumblebee asks smiling blushing at him. "When was this?"

"Most of tenth grade and then again twelfth grade."

"How? What?! Really?" Bumblebee says flattered.

"Love or crush?" Guardian asks. "Which is it? Because they're completely two different things."

"Can we get back to the mission?" Robin asks.

"How very Batman of you." Kon says to him, they stop talking, Guardian get in-between Kon and Karen. He stays quiet and Nightwing looks at him. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asks him.

"You have to leave."

"Why?"

"Cause you're not cleared to do missions."

"Are you kidding?"

"No, you're not ready yet."

"How do you know that?"

"You need to prove that you are."

"And how exactly I'm I suppose to do that when you don't give me a chance."

"You don't have you're full power yet-"

"I was in a prison without my powers for 3 years and I survived." Kon says to him getting defensive. "If you have a problem with me in this team, tell me now."

"No of course not but Batman and Superman-"

"Oh I'm sorry I thought you were running things now."

"He is and he's tell you, no." Ravager tells him.

"I wasn't talking you." Kon snaps at her.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Ravager asks him.

"Who the fuck do you think I am?"

"Ok, that's enough of that." Nightwing says to them both hoping not to escalate things. "Kon go with them. It'll be a good mission to get to know each other."

"Well thanks." Kon says to him. "Leader." He says sarcastically.

Megan turns to look at Nightwing. "Good Luck." He says to her.

Star City…sky

"Megan, darling, the future of the world is in peril….could you please land this bioship!?" Lagoon boy says to her annoyed as they fly around in the air buildings below them. "Please." He adds.

"Where, exactly? I'm looking for a rooftop that doesn't have fifty air conditioners and satellite dishes and whatever those round spinning things are."

"They're vents." Robin says to her.

"I'm just saying, I could have jumped here faster." Lagoon boy mumbles.

"Do you wanna come up here and fly this thing?" Megan asks him.

"Maybe I should."

"Maybe you should."

"Settle down ladies." Kon says to them both, Lagoon boy glares at him.

"So was it a crush or a love thing?" Guardian asks Kon as he sits behind him.

"Well I've only ever been in love once so I wouldn't want to compare."

"Right, so crush?"

"Why does it matter?"

"I just wanna know, I'm marring her you know."

"Yeah Z told me." Kon says as he turns his head to look at him. "But don't worry, man, I believe in the institution of marriage. So don't worry about me, as long as she has a ring on her finger I won't do anything."

"Right, yeah I was just-wait a ring on her finger?"

"Yeah dude, she doesn't have one now."

"M'gann land the damn plane!" Guardian yells out, ready to kick Kon's ass.

Kon stands up. "Can you make a hole?" he asks her.

"Promise you won't jump, and wait for the line."

Kon smiles at her, she makes the hole in the middle of the ship, Kon jumps off as he sees a railing. 'See you guys at the drop off.'

"How the hell did he make that?!" Guardian asks. "I thought he didn't have his powers back."

"He doesn't, he's just incredible." Megan says to him, she makes lines on the roof of the ship. "You guys can hop off if you want."

"I'm good." Guardian says staying seated.

"I'll go." Robin says as he grabs the rope and gets pulled down to the building.

'I'll keep the mindlink open.'

'That still feels a bit weird.' Superboy says as he jumps building to building, Robin jumps with him. "Wanna race?" he asks as he lands on a roof top.

"This isn't a game."

"Well you're a ball of sunshine."

Robin uses his rope and swings to a high up building. "Besides I'd beat you." He says as he turns to look for him.

'Yo Robbie, pay attention.' Superboy says as running way, way, ahead of him. Robin looks and starts running trying to catch up.

…

By the time Robin had appeared Superboy was sitting down on the roof top looking at a brownstone.

"Hey." Superboy says to him.

"Hey." Robin says trying not to sound to winded, it's not that he wasn't in shape it's that he could jog a marathon no problem but he could not sprint one.

"Did you see him leave?"

"Yeah, we can go in as soon as Alpha team gets here."

"Or we can go in now."

"But-"

"Let's go." Superboy says as he jumps off the building.

"Oh god." Robin takes a breath. "Guys we're going in."

"But you're not Alpha team." Lagoon boy says on the com.

"Tell that to Superboy, he's already gone ahead."

"Damn it Kon." Nightwing says on them com. "What are you doing?"

"My job, what are you doing?" Superboy says as he uses a pair of lock picks to break the front door.

"Keeping this team on point, look you need to follow orders-"

"What's the code again?" Superboy asks "98-30 what?"

"24." Robin says standing behind him closing the door and locking it.

"Thanks."

"Robin, don't encourage him."

"You used to be way more fun when you were a kid, going solo has ruined you." Superboy says as he goes to the study around the living room.

"That was uncalled for." Nightwing says to him.

"Going radio silent now."

"Kon don't you dare." Nightwing starts and the com turns off. "Robin pull out of the house now."

"We are already here." Robin says and turns off his com.

"Nightwing?" Miss Martian asks.

"Follow their lead." Nightwing sighs. One day back and he had no idea how Batman had done it with Kon on the team.

"I don't see anything." Robin says as he looked at the computer not finding what they were looking for. Superboy was walking back and forth of the large room feet in front of the other counting. "What are you doing?" he asks him weirded out by him.

"This room is smaller than it should be." Superboy says and walks up to him. "You got the blueprints on you?"

"Yeah. Hold on." Robin says as he pulls out a map on his computer wrist, Superboy looks over his shoulder. "This is the room, 16 by 13, it is too small."

"It's in the walls." Superboy tells him.

They each take a wall, touching the cream color wall, then walk over to the bookcase, Superboy and Robin pulling on the books, putting them back so they wouldn't make a mess.

"I got nothing." Robin says. "Maybe it's in the other room."

Superboy takes a step back and looks down at the floor scratched up, he gets on the side and starts pushing the bookcase back to reveal a password protected door. "Alright, do your thing." Superboy tells him.

Robin hooks up his wire to the wall and starts hacking.

'We found the door, we're just trying to open it, and we'll be done.' Robin says.

'That was fast.' Guardian says in the midlink. 'How did you guys find it?'

'Process of elimination. I'll teach it to you later.' Superboy tells him.

'You're not funny.'

'Then why is Robin smiling.'

'I'm not smiling.' Robin says quickly.

'It's ok to smile Squidward.' Superboy says to him as Robin opens to the door.

'I wasn't smiling Guardian.' Robin says as Superboy walks in the door.

'Whatever.'

"I hate him." guardian says to everyone in the bioship.

'And I have my super hearing back.' Kon says to them.

'Sorry.'

'Oh please, don't even go there.'

'It should take me a minute to get the documents for the…computer.' Robin says cutting the quiet ness in the mindlink.

'Oh my god.' Superboy says.

'What's wrong?'

'It's paper.'

'What's paper?'

'The documents are all in paper.'

'Split up.' Superboy tells Robin.

They split up and look at inside the cabinets looking for the document.

'oh no.'

'What?'

'He's here early?'

Megan stands up. 'Stay put Megan.' Kon tells her, knowing that she was thinking. 'We'll be out in a second.'

'Hurry.'

"Don't have to tell me twice." Robin mumbles as he looks at the folders in the cabinets. "Damn it. This was a bad idea, we should have done what Nightwing to us to do."

"If we did that, then we wouldn't have found it."

"You found it?"

"No, I just enjoy messing with you." Superboy says as he takes the documents into his jacket go back to the door. "Let's go." He says and Robin follows.

Robin closes the vault door and Superboy pushes back the bookcase, they go to the front door and stop when they hear the keys jiggling. They run upstairs and into a room with superhero posters, Wonder woman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Red Arrow, Superman and there was even one of him.

'I'll get the window open.' Robin says as he goes to open it, then notices the pressure machine. 'Might take a while.' He adds taking out a lock pick.

"Let me talk to my daughter." Mr. Jones says downstairs, Superboy hears him and opens the door quietly walking down the hall to the stairs. "NO! You listen to me, if I don't speak with my daughter, you don't get anything! Now put her on the phone!" he yells at the person on the other side of the phone. Superboy turns to see the wall filled with pictures of a blonde girl with a Justice League t-shirt. "Hey sweet heart." He says in a shaky voice. "Don't worry, I'm going to get you out of there. I love you so much. Wait, no put her back. Yes, I understand, just don't hurt her, please. Hello? Hello?" Bernell Jones closes his cell sits down on the couch and begins sobbing.

Superboy takes a step forward down the stairs looking as the man sits holding his head crying.

'Superboy, let's go.' Robin says over the midlink. 'Superboy?'

'Behind you.' Superboy says as he walks back up slowly, as Robin uses his rope attaching it to another building and swings off. Superboy looks around the room and grabs the picture frame of Mr. Jones with her daughter, he takes off the picture out of it, puts the frame back on the nightstand and the picture in his pocket.

…

"Not bad for a first mission back." Nightwing says as he downloads the pictures of the documents.

"I think I would have gone better if Superboy had listen and done his job right."

"I agree with Ravager." Guardian says.

"Kon their kinda of…right." Megan says to him.

"I did." Ravager says with a smile.

Wolf smelled the air on the rooftops as he sniffs around Superboy stands ready to run if he caught Cissie's scent. Wolf stops as he smells a single spot then runs, Superboy runs after him. They run all the way to the warehouse district.

"You sure?" Superboy asks him, Wolf scoffs. "Right." Superboy looks around the place looking for a backdoor then turns to see an open window. "When will they learn?" he asks Wolf. "Better for us, right." He jumps up with little super strength he had gained back in 3 days since he'd been on Earth.

Superboy holds himself by the window, looks down at Wolf. "Stay on guard."

Wolf nods.

Superboy hops inside and lands crunched down looking around, staying in the shadows.

"The girl won't shut up."

"Then smack her that shut her up last time."

Superboy walks in quietly in the room he had just left. "damn, shadows." He whispers to himself.

Cissie looks at Superboy, he puts his finger on his lips. "shh." He whispers as he walks to her pulling out pocket knife and cuts the rope on her wrists. She looks at him, as he cuts it all off, then goes to cut the one on her feet while she takes off her gag. He again puts his finger on his lips, she nods. Cissie had a black eye, a busted lip and was bleeding on her wrist, he waves for her to walk.

They both go back to the window that Wolf was waiting for them.

"Whoa."

"It's ok, he's a friend."

"We have to get to my dad." Cissie says to him quickly.

"I know, the shadows will kill him when they find out your gone." Superboy says to her, she looked terrified. "Ever ridden a horse?"

"Well, then to bad." He says as he picks her up and puts her on top of Wolf. "Hold his fur." He tells her, she does as she's told. "Let's go." he says as they run home.

"Oh thank god." Nightwing says. "I thought I was going to call Superman on you." He says as Superboy walks to the side and presses some buttons. "What are you doing?"

"I would like to introduce. Bernell Jones and Cissie King-Jones you know her as the girl who is in the Bahamas with her mother."

"Hi." She says as a new bruise had appeared on her chin.

"You can apology now or later, we'll be in the infirmary." Superboy says to Nightwing as he takes father and daughter down the hallway. "Oh by the way, I had to bypass through that thing." He says pointing to the zeta beam. "You should fix it." he adds.

"We've put Bernell and Cissie in witness protection, the shadows won't be able to find them." Batman tells the Team (Nightwing, Robin, Guardian, and Ravager. "But since I have the information that the shadows what, they'll be coming after me now."

"Thanks Batman for the new ID's." Nightwing says to him.

"No problem." Batman says to him, he turns to Kon who was waiting to get yelled at. "And Kon, way to go." He says as he walks off into the Zeta beam.

"Did you hear that?" Kon asks Nightwing. "Way to go."

Nightwing smiles at him. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you."

"It's ok, I wouldn't have believe me either."

"Really?"

"Of course not, dumb ass! How could you believe her over me?!"

"You just got back and I didn't-I'm sorry." Nightwing says stopping his own sentence any excuse would make it worse.

"That's it!" Kon yells as he walks in the zeta beam. "It took me an hour to bypass that stupid thing! Apparently it doesn't recognize me voice!"

"Get me an axe, I am going to destroy that thing piece by piece!" Kon yells not caring what she had just said.

"The only reason I can think of the zeta beam malfunction the way you describe is because you have change, your voice, your body-" Adam Strange says to him.

"Everyone's body changes over time, you're physical body doesn't match what the computer has on its data."

"There really is nothing behind those baby blue eyes is there?" Ravager teases him, Kon turns to look at her.

"Usually the computer updates its self when there is a new development in the body."

"That's not possible." Kon says to him.

"Yes it is, my engineer work is flawless. Your body has gone through some changes, which is why the computer is not recognizing your body." He tells Kon again.

"I know, it was a freaking nightmare when I got my tattoo."

Superman zeta beams in hearing him. "Oh please, please, please, please, please tell me you didn't get a new one." He says putting his hands together as Batman zeta beams in behind him. "Please." He adds.

"You have a tattoo?" Ravager asks.

"I didn't get another tattoo."

"Thank god." Superman sighs. "I got in fine, what's wrong with it?" he asks.

"Kon's body's gone through puberty." Guardian teases.

"No it hasn't." Kon slightly growls. "That thing is broken or it doesn't like me."

"Alright! You newbies obviously don't know me very well, but you Mal you know me, and I didn't get to go to Hawaii like I planned and I am very angry and I am so not above kicking your asses!" Kon yells at them. "So the next one who says something is meeting my fists."

"Wait a minute, why does he get to use the zeta beam for personal reasons and we don't?" Cassie asks.

"What?" Kon asks her.

"It's a new policy." Robin says to him.

"Who came up with that?" Kon asks.

"Me. The zeta beam is for emergency's only." Batgirl says.

"Well you're just a ball of sunshine." Kon says to her.

Kon turns to the doctor looking at him. "I'm sure you're a very nice guy, but you're not really mine type."

"What? No, no, no I wasn't I didn't-I didn't I was just…" Dr. Strange stammers. "I need to re-scan your body for any developments."

"Kon doesn't grow, not physically anyway, and the zeta beam doesn't scan internal organs." Batman says to him.

"Thank you! That's what I've been trying to tell them."

"You should know better Nightwing." Batman says to him, Nightwing looks at him.

"Still I believe that's the problem." Dr. Strange says to them.

"Do I have to take off my clothes?"

"Yes, socks and glove including, if we want to get an accurate reading I mean."

Kon takes off his jacket, he had a long sleeve s shirt on, he takes off his boots, he pauses, then quickly takes off his shirt, jeans and shocks, taking off his glove last. Batman looks away from him, he'd known something was wrong. He has scars himself, but not like him.

"Oh-oh-oh-" Megan says speeches.

"Oh good god." Nightwing says looking at him.

"Dude." Robin says.

"Kon what happen to you?" Superman asks him.

"I was in the phantom zone, not fucking Disneyland." Kon snaps at him, he turns to the doctor. "Can we get this over with?" he asks him.

"The platform." Dr. Strange says.

Kon goes to stand on it and sighs. "How long?"

"Five minutes at the most." Dr. Strange says as he types something and the platform glows white as green lights start to make a holo projection of him. "Try not to move much." He adds, Kon closes his eyes and waits for it to be over.

Kon jiggles the keys on the door except it wouldn't open so he just slid down to the floor.

Roy opens the door. "Hey you got the door open!" Kon yells out.

"Are you drunk?"

"Noooo." Kon says as he tries to get up then slips back down. "Ok yes." He admits.

"What the hell man?" Roy asks as he closes the door back, leaving Kon outside.

Kon leans over to the counter and puts the plate beside him as he continues to eat.

"Hey, we have a mission?" Kon asks carrying a brown bag of White Castle logo.

"Yeah you want in?"

"I'll go with you." Roy says holding a water bottle with green liquid in it, then looks at Conner's bag. "What you got there?" he asks.

Kon pulls out a burger. "Burger, with everything in it and" he puts it back in pulling out a sandwich. "Philly cheese Sandwich also with everything on it." He says with a smile, Roy swallows hard, Kon looks at him. "You wanna bite?"

"No…no. I'm good." Roy says drinking his green liquid, trying to crave his hunger.

Central City…Military facility

"I thought you said you could do this!" Red arrow yells as he uses a smoke arrow as the guards start coughing badly, covering their mouths.

"HEY! I was in prison for 3 years forgive me if I'm a little rusty!" Superboy yells back as he tries to hack a small decryption key.

"Alright let's do this the easy way." Superboy says as he starts throwing himself against the side of the door busting it open in two shoves and falls down on the floor. "I really need my powers back." He tells himself as he stands up going to the computer.

Red Arrow runs in shutting the door leaving the bodyguards outside. "Would you hurry up!?"

"Chill Red, it's downloading." Superboy says as he grabs a chair putting it against the door, Red Arrow doesn't move putting his whole body up against it as the door sticks to the doorknob, Superboy goes over to the vent pulling it off.

"Any time now!" Red arrow yells out.

The computer beeps, Superboy pulls out the Flash drive. "Plans for a new super weapon? Check!" he says as he grabs the chair.

"Blow the door open!" They hear somebody yell at the other side of the door.

"Time to move." Red arrow says as he quickly jumps up, climbing in the vent, crawling.

"Check." Superboy says as he jumps up as well following Red Arrow through the vents.

Kon pulls away. "Hey. Don't touch my donut." He tells him. Roy grabs his hand as Kon goes to take another bite. "Hey!" he yells out.

Roy takes the opportunity to spin Kon around and somehow ends up holding him from behind.

"I've had enough of you!" Roy yells out.

They fight for a few seconds, Roy hanging on Kon's back as Kon tries to finish his donut. Nightwing and Batgirl come from around the corner.

"Hey, hey, hey! Break it up!" Nightwing yells out.

They rush forward just as Kon shoves the last of the donut in his mouth and throws Roy from his back, Roy stands anxious.

"God! What the hell is going on?" Batgirl asks them, she'd never seen them fight.

"Talk to hunger strike over here." Kon says chewing pointing to Roy.

"He was flaunting that donut!" Roy yells out holding his green liquid drink tight.

"I was eating it!" Kon yells out with a mouthful of donut.

Nightwing holds a hand out to stop Kon. "Roy, you okay? Cleanse for 10 days, don't you think it's time to let it go?" he asks putting his hand on Roy's back.

"No, no. I – I'm fine. I – I'm sorry, everybody." Roy says to them, then turns to Kon. "Sorry, bro."

Kon finishes chewing his donut. "Yeah, not forgiven, call me in four day, when you're done with the crazy." He says as he walks off.

"Wait, where are you going?"

"Out."

"Out where?" Nightwing asks him.

Kon turns to look at him and Batgirl. "Out in the world where our forefather fought to provide." He says and walks out the zeta beam.

"Hey." Clark says as he walks in the diner seeing Conner in a booth with 5 kinds of pies on the table.

"Hey." Conner says as he takes a bite out of his chocolate pie.

"Thanks for ordering for me." Clark says as he grabs a plate with a slice of apple pie on it.

Conner quickly grabs his hand. "That's mine."

"Sorry."

"It's cool." Conner says.

"So why'd you want to meet?"

"I'm thinking of going solo again." Conner says as he starts.

"Oh is that the best thing I mean do you have your power back yet?"

"Heat vision, x-ray, telescopic, microscopic, super hearing and some of my strength and that's about it."

"Well you'll get there and-Oh my gosh you just shared an intimate detail of your life." Clark says look at Conner.

"And now I'm starting to regret."

"No, no, no, no." Clark says quickly. "I'm sorry, it's just so great to talk to you, look at us we're sitting here happy and talking." He says with a smile happy, then looks at the empty plates on the side stacked together. "How much have you eating?" he asks him.

"I don't know, about 10, why?"

Batman and Superboy are fighting some gangsters doing extremely well before Superboy turns to punch then pulls back holding his gloved hand.

"ow." He whispers, surprised, he looks up to see Bane with a smile.

"Pobre nino." Bane says in Spanish, he grabs him by the neck squeezing.

"Ah!" Superboy gasps for air, breaks loss of the hold and takes a step back.

"You don't have your powers? Well isn't that interesante."

Superboy puts up his fists. "Vamonos." He says back in Spanish.

Superboy punches, sends kicks everywhere he can think of, but to no avail. He stops fighting and starts panting. Bane punches him once, sending him 10 feet backward crashing into the side of a crate.

"That's gonna sting in the morning." Bane says as he walks over to Superboy trying to get back up.

Bane picks up Superboy as he tries to get up, Superboy kicks him away gets on his feet. Superboy puts is fists back up punching him the stomach, Bane punches him in the face grabs him tossing him to another crate. He's bleeding now and moving slower. Bane kicks him to the ground, then steps on him as he tries to get up.

"Superboy!" Batman yells out as he gets pinned by the gangsters shooting him.

Bane grabs Superboy and picks him up to face him, then he lifts him over his head and body-slams him into the floor then kicks him hard into some very big pipes, they fall on him.

"Let's go!" Bane yells out the gangsters.

They run out of the warehouse, Batman runs to Superboy pulling the pipes off of him. "KON!" he yells out. "Kon answer me!" he yells out as he pulls the very heavy pipes off. "Kon." He checks his breathing. "Penny-one. I'm going to need medical attention."

"Bullets? Knife? Dogs?"

"Bane."

"Right away sir."

"Get the solar pod up in running."

"Solar pod? For Superman?

"No, Superboy." Batman says as he picks up Superboy and walks out to the Batmobile, he puts Kon in the passenger seat, then puts the seat belt on him.

…Batcave

Kon blinks a couple of times, not sure where he was, he sits up holding his head. "Ow."

"How are you feeling?"

"Like I got eaten by a bear." Kon says honestly as he gets tries to get off. "What the hell?" he says noticing that he was in some sort of solar pod. "Dude seriously?"

"Sit back down."

"I'll be fine."

"It's been almost two weeks, shouldn't your powers be back?"

"I don't know."

"Kon, what's going on with you?"

"Good question." Kon says as he slips out of the pod and breath heavy, Batman looks at him. "Let me get back to you on that one." He starts to walk off.

"Let me help you."

"No, I'll be fine."

"Kon, I can help, please let me help."

"How?"

"I can run some tests on you-"

"Tests?"

"Blood analysis, x-ray's, scans-"

"Stop, please Bruce, I just need a shower and a night sleep."

"Alright." Bruce says, he didn't want to argue with him. "I'll get you some clothes that Dick left here."

"Thanks."

"Sorry, I'm late."

"Is that my clothes?" Nightwing asks.

"Whoa, what the hell happen to you?" Red arrow asks seeing the bruises on his face.

"Bane."

"Bane? Gotham Bane? Superhuman strength, Bane?" Robin asks.

"Yes to all of the above."

"So Batman told me to go home because of you?"

"I guess." Superboy says to him, then turns to Nightwing. "What's the mission?"

"The Congo."

"What?"

"They're hunting down animals, illegally." Nightwing says to him. "Just go in, scare them off, three days should do it."

"I'm not going."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm tired, I'm all bruised up and…there're many many monkeys."

"You're afraid of monkeys?"

"Since when?"

"Since I was in the phantom zone and they tried to eat me."

"Are you kidding me?"

"No I'm not." Superboy says, he turns to Red Arrow. "You know that."

They all turn to him. "He was drunk, I thought he was kidding." He tells them then turns to Kon. "I thought you were kidding."

"I wasn't, one of them took a huge chunk out of my thigh, I almost died."

"Apparently it didn't take." Robin mumbles.

"You want to go toe-to-toe with me Robin!? I got beaten by Bane three hours ago. I have a lot of anger in me." Kon snaps at him.

"Ok! Take it down a notch their buddy." Red arrow says putting his hand on his shoulder.

Kon takes a breath. "All they have to do is scare off a couple of locals. Play a couple of pranks on them, make them think it's hunted." Kon says to Nightwing calmly. "Robin, Wonder girl, can you guys play a couple of pranks on some idiots?" he asks them nicely.

"Yeah, I mean yeah"

"Sure…"

"Oh look at that they can play pranks."

"Kon these animals are endanger, they deserve someone who as a little bit of an imagination."

"Hey!" Robin yells out offended.

"That's hurtful." Wonder girl says to him.

"I wasn't talking to you Wonder girl."

"OH well than that's ok." Wonder girl says with a shrug, Robin looks at her.

"Ok, I hate, hate to agree with Kon here, really hate but I wouldn't even know where to begin."

"Look you guys are still new at this of course you're going to make mistakes and bad things happen but you have to move past them leave it behind you the sooner the better or it will eat away at you and stop you from moving forward. So get over yourself." Nightwing says taking a breath, they look at him. "Move past it and get your butt on the bioship." He looks at them.

"I'm confused, who's going to the Congo?" Wondergirl says looking around.

Red arrow and Nightwing look at Kon.

"I'm not going anywhere near that jungle." Kon says and walks off. "You can take Wolf."

"We are going to the Congo." Nightwing says and walks off to the bioship with Red arrow, Robin, and Wonder girl.

"Alright, you guys good to go?"

"Yeah, I got my arrows, we're good to go." Red arrow says as he goes to sit down, Nightwing at the controls.

"Ok, you're right I can do this." Superboy says going in the bioship, they turn to look at him. "I can conquer all my fears and all of that other crap you said, I wasn't really paying attention."

"Kon are you sure?"

"Yeah, you can get off."

Nightwing gets off the controls, Robin takes his place looking at Superboy as he sits down puts on the seat belt.

"Alright, well call me when you arrive."

"Ok."

Superboy closes his eyes tries to breath calmly, Nightwing looks at Red arrow, he nods. Superboy puts his hand on his thigh where the bite mark was at and taps his fingers on it. Wonder girl looks at him and smiles a little impressed.

"I know what you're thinking."

"Are you a mind reader now?"

"Stay away from Kon."

"Kon who?"

"Stop trying to manipulate him."

"Superboy? You can't manipulate him into anything you and I both know that." Luthor says to him and walks away. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting."

"Stay the hell away from Kon."

"I have to ask, are you sure he's back?" Luthor says to him, Superman continues walking. "How can you be sure that what came out of that portal is 100 percent pure Superboy?"

Superman flies off.

"How's Kon doing?"

"Fine, Nightwing says that there is an adjustment period but I'm sure they'll all adjust, Kon's very forced is all."

"Do you think he's changed?"

"Kon? Most definitely."

"Meaning?"

"Nothing bad, he's more careful now, a bit on edge, but I'm sure after everything he's been through-"

"Is there any way to make sure he's really Kon." Superman asks him.

Batman turns to look at him. "I thought I was the paranoid one."

"Luthor said something and-"

"Luthor?"

"He said that he wasn't really him, Kon."

"Kon's not letting us run any scans on him."

"But if he did?"

"I'm sure we could find something if he wasn't himself."

'Kon how are you doing on your end.' Batgirl asks as she types on the computer.

'Everything is quite. The guards won't be switching shifts for another 23 minutes.' Superboy says over the mindlink as he looks at his watch.

'Alright, we just need 10 more minutes to break the code and we should be able to upload the virus.'

'How's the translation holing up?' Miss Martian asks.

'I have no idea how you're doing it but it's going good.' Robin says to them.

'I told you, since I don't know Hebrew or Arabic-'

'And I do.' Kon adds.

'I'm using Kon's knowledge to translate it for us.' Megan finishes.

'And answer this question, why can't we just destroy it and go?' Kon asks them.

'Because we need the investors to think that the company is stealing from them.'

'Yeah, that's cause he is.' Superboy says to her.

'We're going as fast as we can.' Robin says to him.

'I wasn't criticizing I was just-nevermind.'

'Kon are you alright?' Miss Martian asks when she was no longer able to sense his connection. 'Kon?'

'What's wrong?' Batgirl asks as she stops tying not recognizing the language.

'Keep working, I'll go check on him.'

"That boy gets kidnapped more than I change underwear." Ravager says to everyone.

"Would it be going too far if we implant a gps on him?" Robin asks, they turn to look at him. "I said if."

"I already did that." Batman tells them as he pulls up the information.

"Excuse me?" Superman asks.

"It's an isotope that he drank in his orange juice this morning."

"You put a lojack on my brother?"

"Yes." Batman says as he pulls up a map.

"We need to have a conversation about that."

"Found him."

"Great, let's go." Ravager says.

"That was too easy." Batgirl says pointing out the obvious. "Way to easy."

"I can try to retrace the steps but-"

"We're not gonna find him." Robin says to them. "Not like this."

"Not by chasing him, not by playing game." Nightwing adds.

"Zatanna can locate him." Nightwing says as he pulls out his phone.

…Unknown location

Kon opens his eyes and tries to stand up but realizes that he's laying down strapped down to with ropes on a table, he struggles to get free and muffled moaning as a gag on his mouth. He looks around it was some sort of makeshift surgical room.

"Good. You're awake." A doctor says as he walks in. "We can get started." He says as he washes his hands.

Kon feels along his restraints. Trying to figure out if there's a way to free his hands, he moves slowly, trying not to attract attention from the doctor.

"Despite the situation, I want you to know I admire you. I always have." The doctor says to him as he puts wipes his hands on a towel. "A clone of Superman and Lex Luthor, you are a unique specimen." he strokes Kon's face. Kon tries to jerk back, he grabs his hand tight making him look at the doctor. "There's no point in resisting, Superboy. In fact, if you accept that I can remove the gag."

Kon looks at him, narrowing his eyes and uneasy, but he nods.

"Good. And please don't scream. It's tedious. And no one can hear you." The doctor pulls the gag down on his neck. Kon still shies away from his touch. "Much better." He says. "It's a crime to cover up such a lovely face." The doctor says to him as he runs a finger along Kon's cheek.

"I'm name is Kon, what's yours?"

"I have no name."

"Just let me go. You can still save yourself."

"I've already been saved." He turns off the light. "I used to be ashamed of who I was inside. The things I dreamt about doing. And then I met the Light and it was like…coming home. So if you think that I would ever turn on them, you don't understand me at all."

The doctor opens up the gown that Kon was wearing and tilts the table Kon is strapped to, up and into a beam of green light. The green light is a grid, which he positions along Kon's face.

"What do you think there's going to do when you're no longer useful to them? They will kill you."

The doctor scoffs.

"I am your only chance. I can help you."

"And you're going to. "

The doctor takes a device and starts to scan Kon's face first.

"What are you doing?" Kon asks him.

"The light is trying to make more of you or at least one who is well behaved." The doctor says as he he types something and continues to scan his body arms, legs, torso.

"What?"

"They seem to have complications-none of my business really." He touches a scar on Kon's side.

Kon watches as the contours of his body appear on a monitor across from them. A perfect match.

"These scars might pose a problem." He says as he examines Kon's body. "I'm sure we can fix them."

Kon eyes widen. As the doctor continues to stroke his body. "No. No." kon says as he jerks away from him struggling. "No, please. Please!"

"All right. This is going back on."

"Please, no!" Kon yells out. "Get away from me you freak!" he screams.

The doctor pulls the gag back up. "Shh." He says as he caresses his face.

"Gezz, I leave for a day and Superboy gets kidnapped?"

"Zatanna-"

"Pam." Zatanna says map as a world map appears on the floor. "Etaclo Yobrepus." She says the magic words, Locate Superboy. "Damn it." She mumbles.

"What's wrong?"

"Whoever took him is blocking my magic." She says as she crakes her neck. "Alright, let's do this the hard way. "Seldnac." She says Candles as she waves her hand, candles circle around her, she opens her hand. "Tsud." She says as sliver dust appears on her hand, she blows on it as it all lands on the paper map. She sits down crossing her legs, closing her eyes. "Etaclo Yobrepus. Etaclo Yobrepus. Etaclo Yobrepus. Etaclo Yobrepus." She repeats over and over and over, Locate Superboy.

…Unknown location

Kon unscrews the bolt holding a bracket on the table, his fingertips bleeding. He's still trying not to attract attention, and luckily the doctor isn't concerned with him at the moment. He pushes hard on the bracket, but it doesn't budge.

"You fascinate me. You are the only one of your kind, do you know that? Unique doesn't even begin to describe you. We've tried to replicate you over and over and over and have failed miserably take a look around." He says as he turns on other lights outside of the room seeing copies of himself deformed in test tubes. Kon watches in horror as the doctor smiles at him. "But you, you will help me with your brothers."

Kon tries another tactic to get out of his bonds, he starts scratching at the seaming, hoping to get a thread loose. He's startled by the doctors phone ringing and pauses looking at him.

"Yes, I have him. Yes I've already scanned him. I will send them to you, will you need-yes blood I will, sir."

Kon continues to scratch at the bonds on his wrist.

…Mount Justice

Zatanna opens her eyes as they glow purple. "Etaclo Yobrepus!" Zatanna yells as she pants, sweating as all of the silver dust combines into one location. "There, he's in Canada-the woods." she passes out, Nightwing grabs her.

Canada…woods

The doctor hangs up, he makes his way over to Kon, bringing his tools with him. He unrolls them and starts to set them up.

"It'll all be over soon. But I've so enjoyed our time together."

Kon tries not to panic and starts to scratch more quickly at the seaming as he breaks his nail as the blood starts coming down his palm.

The doctor smiles as he looks at his tools he grabs a syringe and puts it on Kon's arm vein and fills up the vial with blood. "Nice and easy." He puts it down and grabs a scalpel.

"Well, I'm afraid it's time, Superboy." He says as he starts cutting on Kon's chest, he screams but it's muffled by the gag. "Don't worry, you'll pass out from the pain if not then when I rip off your heart." He says and smiles. "It will be interesting to see it stop."

Kon pulls his arm, twisting his wrist and his hand breaks free. He catches the doctors hand before he cuts down to his stomach. He sits up with a death glare at him, the doctor looked scared.

…

Superman break down through the ceiling in the middle of the surgical room, Batman breaks down the door. Nightwing right behind him with M'gann. They swarm the room, but they stop at what they see.

Kon stands over the doctors body. Blood pools on the floor and drips from the scalpel in Kon's hand. The doctor not breathing in the pool of his own blood and Kon makes no move to turn to face them. Superman approaches him slowly.

"Kon?"

Kon finally turns around, there was splatters of blood on his face not his, his own blood falling on his chest. He pulls away when Superman reaches for him, but then looks him, he drops the scale and hugs him as Superman pulls him into his chest hugging him.

"What took you so long?"

"Hit a wall."

…Mount Justice

"You're lucky we got there in time, you almost killed him." Batman says to him.

"I'm sorry." Kon says to him. "Next time Dr. Frankenstein tells me he's going to hack me open to see how I work, and clone me into a well behave soldier for the Light, I'll prop up some pillows for him."

"That's not what-"

"I don't care." Kon snaps at him. "I'm tired, I'm going to bed." he says and walks off.

"Kon, you're still bleeding." Superman says to him.

"I'll patch myself, don't worry about it." he tells them.

"Kon let us help you." Nightwing says to him.

"I know how to make stiches ok, I've done them before."

"Not the stiches."

"I almost got my heart cut out of my chest, while I was awake." Kon says as he angry. "So you'll have to excuse me if I'm not in a chatty mood." He tells them and walks off.

"Oh I love this movie." Rose says with a smile.

"Who loves Chucky?" Jamie asks.

"I do."

"Right."

"Hey, everybody, what are we watching?" Kon asks as he walks in the living room with Jamie, Rose, Megan and La'gann.

Nightwing grabs the control and quickly changes the channel. "Nothing looking around, bonding and all of that."

"Hey guys." Roy says walking in.

"Where've you been?" Kon asks him.

"Just out." Roy says taking off his leather jacket. "Had some lunch, just me, little quality time with me. Thanks for your jacket."

"Oh, no problem. You can borrow it, by the way." Kon says to him with a smile, Roy smiles back as Kon puts on the jacket. "Here are your keys, dude. Red, if uh you were at lunch alone, how come it cost you uh 53 dollars?" he asks looking at the receipt putting the keys on the counter as Roy goes around to sit on the couch.

Roy pauses. "You know what probably happened? Someone musta stolen my credit card." He says obviously lying.

"And sorta just put the receipt back in your pocket?"

"That is an excellent excellent question. That is excellent."

"Roy, what is with you? Who'd you have lunch with?"

"John." Roy says a random name.

"Who?" Kon asks confused.

"Mal."

"What?"

"Wally." Roy says quickly.

"You were with Mal?"

"Look, when it started I was just trying to be nice to him because he and my uncle are close. And then, one thing led to another and, before I knew it, we were...watching a movie."

Kon gasps. "Oh my god."

"Hey man, wait." Roy says walking over to him. "We only did it once. It didn't mean anything to me."

"Yeah, right." Kon says walking around the couch to get away from him. "Sure."

"Really, Kon, I was thinking of you the whole time. Look, I'm sorry, all right. I never meant for you to find out."

"Oh, please, you wanted to get caught!" Kon yells at him showing him the receipt.

"That is not true!"

"Oh, so you just sort of happened to leave it in here?" he says pointing to his pocket.

"Did it ever occur to you that I might just be that stupid?" Roy asks him.

"Ok, Roy. I just have to know one thing." Kon says taking a breath and looking at him, Roy nods. "Did you watch Die Hard with him?" he asks him, Roy looks away, Nightwing and Megan shake their head a little. "Oh!" he gaps covering his mouth. "Ok, ok…ok, I just really, uh, I just really need to not be with you right now." Kon says and walks out of the room.

Roy turns to his teammates, mostly Megan and Nightwing. "He'll get over it right?" he asks them.

"You watched Die hard with him?" Megan asks him.

"That's like cheating on Kon in his place of worship."

"It's gonna be a problem, isn't it?"

"He was mad at Batman for two years."

"Crap."

"I don't know what else to say." Roy says as he follows Kon into the briefing room with Dick standing waiting for the team to arrive.

"Well that works out good, because I'm not listening." Kon tells him as he stands.

"I feel terrible, I really do."

"Oh, I'm sorry, did my back hurt your knife?" Kon asks him sarcastically.

"Kon, say that I'm friends with him, we spend some time together. Is that so terrible?"

"Yes."

"It's that terrible?"

"Yes. Roy, you don't get it. It's bad enough that I had to put up with his bullshit in high school, but now…he's actually…"he starts to cry. "But now he's actually stealing you."

"Me? What are you talking about? Nobody could steal me from you. I mean, just because I'm friends with him doesn't make me any less friends with you. I mean-" Roy starts to cry. "You're my...We're, we're...my person…Oh, I love you."

"I love you too."

They hug.

Nightwing looks at them walking towards them. "You guys, um I know that this really doesn't have anything to do with me, but um…I love you guys too." He says as he joins in on the hug, Roy and Kon put an arm around him. "Oh, I really needed that." he sighs as he pulls away from the two and goes to stand in the middle.

"Hey." Megan says as she walks in looks at Roy and Kon still hugging. "Aw they made up."

"Stop it your boys." Ravager tells them as she goes to stand with Nightwing and Megan.

"I think we should go in through the vents." Batgirl tells Robin as they both walk in. "What are they doing?" she asks.

"Making up." Megan says.

Robin rolls his eyes a little as Batgirl and he go stand with the team. Roy and Kon pull away from each other wiping away their tears.

"Look, I know that you're in a place right now where you really need to hate Mal's guts, but he didn't do anything wrong. I mean, he is just a guy, who's trying to become a superhero. I really think that if you gave him a chance, you'd like him." he says to him putting his hand on Kon's shoulder. "Would you just give that a chance, for me?" he asks him.

Kon starts again crying. "I'd do anything for you, you know that."

Roy starts crying as well. "I'd do anything for you." He tells him.

They hug again.

Ravager and Batgirl scoffs, Megan smiles, Robin exhales rolling his eyes.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait!" Nightwing says quickly as he runs over and joins in on the hug again.

"Stop it your boys!" Ravager yells at them making fun of them.

…New York Museum

"What are we going to do?" Lagoon boy says to them sitting in the bioship.

"The security system is like fort Knox in here." Batgirl says in a dark purple dress in the museum.

"We need Megan." Lagoon boy says.

"Who needs Megan, when we've got me?" Superboy says.

"No, Kon stay put."

"Batgirl, we need him." Robin says.

"How much did that hurt to say?"

"A lot. One crisis at a time. Kon, get in here."

"No, no. Robin, we haven't done any prep. We don't have our tools." Batgirl says.

"You want me to break into a secure storage facility with whatever I can scrounge up at the buffet table?" Superboy asks Robin.

"Pretty much, yeah."

"Cool. I think Robin left some suits in here." Superboy says walking over to the other side of the bioship.

"Robin, this is bad."

"He can do it."

"It's not about that, he needs to know that there is a command and-"

"I'm in." Superboy says as he walks down the hall putting on his jacket in one swift move, his index and ring fingers still together from the white bandage.

"You're drooling." Robin whispers at her.

She turns to him irritated and walks away to mingle, Superboy in his black suit, walks up to one of the bars "Glass of ice, please." He asks the bartender. "I need a big roll of aluminum foil." He says in the comm.

Robin walks over to a waiter grabs a roll of aluminum foil from him. "Uh, um, you know what? I'm gonna just, I'm gonna wrap up some of these shrimp for tomorrow. Breakfast, you know." He says to him, the waiter nods awkwardly and walks off. "Alright. I got it. Now what?" he asks in the comm.

"I need dark eye shadow." Superboy says in the comm holding the glass of ice.

"I assume he's talking to you." Robin says to Batgirl.

"Excuse me. I have to go powder my nose." She says to a man who was talking to her as she walks away from him.

Robin and Batgirl approach Superboy, who is standing near a door.

"Door's got a silent alarm." Superboy says to them as he holds the glass. "You should hide." He says to Batgirl she walks off to hide behind a statue. "We should pretend to make out." He tells Robin.

"Make what?" Robin asks him.

Superboy grabs Robin and they begin to kiss and he pushes the door open a little. Lagoon boy turns to look at the building as the sounds of making out come over the comms.

"Dude stop-ask Batgirl-"

Superboy and Robin continue to make out Superboy fake moaning. Two guards approach and seem embarrassed. One clears his throat, Superboy and Robin both turn to look at them. "You, uh, bumped the door there. Sets the alarm off."

"You know what?"

"Oh." Robin says pulling away as Superboy finally let him go.

"We…you know how it is."

"Sorry." Robin says blushing.

The guards walk away and Batgirl rejoins them, Robin glares at Superboy.

"Makeup." Superboy says to Batgirl she give it to him. "Come on." He says to Robin as he goes through the door.

"Why did you have to do that?" Robin growls to Superboy as he walks behind him.

Batgirl smiles as she returns to the party.

…Restoration Room

Robin follows Superboy through the mechanical room, where he looks at the finger print reader.

"Eye shadow." Superboy says as he applies it.

"Can we talk about what just happened?"

Superboy uses the eye shadow to make a thumb print visible on the reader. "What?" he asks.

"The kiss, the making out?"

"What about it?" Superboy asks as he places a napkin over the print reader.

"How are you so ok with everything? How do you think stuff like I mean-what are you doing?"

Superboy holds up the thumb print on the napkin and smiles as the doors open. They walk into the room. Superboy goes into his pocket and pulls out a gum. "Chew some gum."

"You are so weird." Robin says as he takes it and chews as he looks over the side of the room. "T-1300 Makashita." He says looking at the camera. Superboy pours ice into a cone of tin foil. "We got about 10 seconds, even in the blind spot, before it picks up our body heat."

"Stick your gum on here." Superboy says as he holds up the cone.

"What why? Oh I got it." Robin says as he takes the cone and sticks it to the heat sensor. "Yeah, can't pick up our heat through the ice. Nice." He says actually complementing him.

Superboy somersaults with one hand as the other one had the roll of aluminum foil, he goes through the first set of lasers and pulls out the roll of tin foil.

"Superboy, Kon, what are you?" Robin says looking at him panicked. "No, no, no. What are you doing? This system resets in like five minutes. You know what? Okay, I want you to know, if you set off the lasers, I'm running like a bat out of hell. I pray you can keep up. Just saying." He says to him. Superboy folds the tin foil and throws Robin the rest of the roll, he catches it. "What are you-Super-" Superboy uses the foil to open a pathway between them, Robin looks at him at what he was doing. "You're bending the beams back. Wow." Robin says impressed, Superboy walks between the tin foil and pushes one so that he can reach the angel statue. "You did not just think about this on the way in from the bioship."

"Some people do crosswords." Superboy shrugs with a smile as he looks at the statue.

"Could you get it over with?" Lagoon boy says over the comm.

Robin uses his phone to access remote system. "Come on, come on." He says to himself as Superboy holds a weight dumbbell that was the same scale as the angel statue.

…Parking Lot

All of the alarms begin to blare an all the cars.

…Restoration Room

Superboy switches the angle with the weight.

…Security Control Room

"Hey, the vibration alarm just went off in the restoration room." A guard says as he picks up the phone quickly.

"Wait." The other guard says pointing to the parking lot monitor. "Look. The car alarms all went off in the parking lot."

"Little earthquakes."

"Just another tremor."

"Geez." The guard says putting back the phone a little embarrassed.

…Restoration Room

Superboy tosses the angel to Robin who catches it with wide eyes.

Robin looks at Superboy. "Wha-you- Don't throw the Angel." He tells him.

"You caught it, didn't you?"

"You're crazy." Robin growls at him.

…Mount Justice

"You have the most unbelievable skills you know that." Batgirl says to him.

"Thank you."

"But-"

"NO." Kon says quickly. "I'm good." He grabs the angel from Robin. "One magical angel for Zatanna." He says giving it to her.

"Thank you." Zatanna says happy. "I'll put it to my collection."

"What does it do exactly?" Robin asks her.

"Do you really want to know?" Zatanna asks him.

Robin looks at her. "No." he changes his mind.

"I do, what is?"

"It's a cursed object." Zatanna starts. "It was once owned by an ancient wizard. When the wizard died, a curse was placed on the Angel. Nothing can lift it, and those who are cursed do no live to tell the tale. There's a story that once a King stole it and gave it to his Queen, they were visited by the most beautiful woman they had ever laid their eyes on, the beautiful woman mercilessly punished them for their greed."

Kon ruffles his hair, Robin pulls away from him again, Wonder girl chuckles.

Zatanna laughs. "Come home with me." she says pulling her hand out.

"Where we going?" Kon says holding her hand with his bandaged two fingers where his fingertips and nails where scrapped off and broken off.

"You'll see. Emoh." Zatanna says waving her hand, purple dust surrounds them and they disappear.

Ravager puts on her jacket and zippers it up gets on her bike.

"Where are you going?" Kon asks, he was sleeping against Wolf on the floor against the cave's wall.

"Going for a ride." Ravager tells him.

"Oh you want me to come with you? Keep you company?"

"No, I'm gonna put 600 cc's of raw power between my legs. Gotta clear my head."

Kon lays back down on Wolf crossing his arms, Ravager looks at him then gets on her bike and drives off.

"Look it wasn't my fault alright, I did everything you asked me to do. I implanted that isotope solution in the middle of the desert but they didn't take the bait."

"They destroyed all of the data as well as any chance that we had on cloning him."

"It wasn't my fault, I did everything you told me to do just like I have since I started being your mole." Ravager tells the Light. "But I don't think he trust me and I think…it's been different since he came back."

"Yes we've been talking about the weapons situation and we believe it's time we end it."

They disappear, she scoffs. "Magic."

"Thanks Tana and I told you to call me Clark. Mr. Kent is my father."

"Plus it makes him feel old." Conner says sitting on a couch against the wall of Clark's office.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you." Tana says to him.

"Ignore him, I usually do." Clark says to her.

"Conner, right?"

"Yeah, hi again."

"Do you have the story?" Tana asks Clark.

"Yup, here it is." Clark says to her giving her papers, she takes them.

"Thank you."

"Hey Tana, what are you doing tonight?"

"Um, I'm going home."

"Well, Conner's not doing anything." Clark says, Conner looks up from his book. "Maybe you guys can do something."

"Well I have work and-"

"Would be happy to do it." Clark says to her a smile, Conner looks at him.

"Ok." Tana says as she walks out of the office holding the papers, not sure what had just happen closing the door.

"What the hell was that?" Conner asks him angry.

"No, just break her out of her shell she seems a bit sheltered, let her be, god help me, more like you." Clark says to him, Conner goes in his pocket. "What are you doing?" he asks him.

Conner had fallen asleep as he heard the people talking up in the stand, babbling on and on about Earth and death and destruction and Love and whatever else. Tana was sitting on the same table as him. This was not what Conner had in mind when Clark had set them up on the date. They start clapping as the poet stops talking. Conner sits up straight shocked looking around and Tana looking at him shaking her head, he claps.

"It was a good nap."

"Why did you agree coming here, you knew what it was."

"I thought you were kidding."

"What happen to your fingers?" Tana asks pointing to his fingers in bandages.

"I was doing something and my nails broke off."

"What where you doing?"

"Rock climbing." He lies to her. "I stepped wrong and I tried to grab a rock, my nails came off."

"Oh wow, that's…wow very…a big image in my brain."

"You should see my other scars."

"Really? How many?"

"A lot." Conner says as he looks at the people now just talking. "Is it over?"

"Yeah it's over." Tana says, he sighs. "Soooo…are you in college? How old are you anyways?"

"No, I'm not in college and I'm 21."

"Did you graduate already?" Tana asks him.

"No, I didn't go."

"Why not?"

"I had decided to travel instead and I did for 3 years."

"Wow, my parents barely even let me live by myself here and yours let you go travel."

"I don't have parents."

"I'm adopted, so is Clark."

"Seriously?"

"He said that they had a meeting about you."

"The intern meeting about who goes and who stays."

"No…well maybe I don't really…I think this conversation took a bad turn somewhere." Conner hesitates. Tana gets up and walks out of the coffee house, Conner puts down 50 bucks on the counter and follows her out. "Tana wait!"

"Why is this happening?! Damn it! My parents where right, I should have just gone to law school." Tana says angry at herself as she lends on the wall of a building.

"It's not fair, I worked my ass off to be at the Daily Planet."

"I can only imagine."

"I went up against my family for this, I was all-I can be a reporter and discover the truth and all of that other crap."

"That's so poetic." Conner says to her.

"Look, don't worry about your family, don't pay any attention to those assholes at the Daily Planet."

"Hey, I didn't mean to freak you out. I'm sorry. I'm sure you'll do it. You will, I promise. I'll help you practice, okay? Tomorrow, you'll stand in the middle of the street and I will drive straight at you screaming in a foreign language."

"No, you just gotta be yourself, I'm sure if you eased up a bit, they wouldn't think twice."

Tana looks at him. "Yeah?"

Tana smiles at him, she lends in for a kiss on the lips and holds his hand. "My apartment is a block away."

"Ok." Conner says to her as if he was a little kid, she giggles.

It was pretty hot and heavy as they entered Tana's apartment. Tana pulls down Conner's jacket dropping it on the floor as Tana continues kissing him then pulls away from him taking off her suits jacket.

"So this is your place huh?" Conner asks as he sees all the floor to ceiling windows on two walls, the rest brick, kitchen, couch, tv, and bed.

"No talk." Tana says to him as she takes off her blouse and takes off her pants, now only in her bra. "Come on." She says pulling him close kissing him as they walk to her bed in the loft.

"Just like that?" Conner asks her.

"Take off your shirt." Tana tells him.

Conner takes off his shirt tossing it aside, she looks at him. "Whoa, what happen?"

"What?"

"The scars, geez, do they hurt?" Tana asks siting up as Conner gets off her.

"No, I'm fine."

"Do they hurt?" she asks touching his chest.

"No."

"I have never seen so many scars, what happen to you? It looks like you were abused or something. How did you get them?"

"Um." Conner starts. "I should go."

"Wait, we-"

"We can talk later." Conner says and goes to pick up his shirt.

"I don't have your number."

"Yeah, bye." Conner tells her and picks up jacket and walks out.

"Hey you got in kinda late last night." Roy says to Kon who was laying down on the couch.

"Yeah." Kon says.

"Everything ok?" Megan asks going to the kitchen.

"Superman said that you were on a date." Roy tells him. "Did you get lucky?"

"I don't wanna talk about it." Kon mumbles.

"Come on did you get some?"

"No! Ok, we go to her place, got half-naked she saw my scars and freaked so I left, ok? So can we please stop talking about it?"

"Ok."

"I'll make cookies." Megan says.

"Thank you." Kon says to her.

"I have a new rule." Batgirl says as she stands in front of the Team.

"Oh no." Superboy moans.

"What?"

"Oh no, keep going."

"We need to keep in contact with each other every 30 minutes, on mission."

"With everyone?" Wonder girl asks.

"No, just our partner, me and Nightwing, you and Robin, Blue beetle and Lagoon boy and Superboy and Red Arrow. Just a I'm-alive-don't-worry." Batgirl explains to them.

"Congratulations." Superboy says to her.

"For the rule?" Batgirl asks with a smile. "Thank you Kon."

"Yeah I didn't think it was possible to come up with a dumber one than synchronizing our watches but you did it."

The Team turns to Batgirl.

"New rule no saying dumb in the briefing room." Batgirl says to everyone, mostly Kon.

"New rule no being dumb in the briefing room." Kon says to everyone but looking at Batgirl, she glares at him, he smirks at her.

"Ok, ok, everybody, let's just relax." Nightwing says to the both of them.

"Do I really have to put up with all of these rules?" Kon asks Nightwing.

"Fine, I'm patrolling with Batman tonight, I'll get my fill of punching bad guys with him." Kon says and walks off the briefing room.

"Wow, Kon must be making their lives miserable." Batman says to Superman.

Superman laughs. "I know." He says, Batman looks at him with a smirk, Clark clears his throat. "I mean, I know." He say in his serious voice.

Batgirl and Nightwing walk in the cave.

"Superman you're here that's good." Nightwing says as he stands.

"We need to ask you for a huge favor." Batgirl says to them.

"Sure."

"What is it?" Batman asks.

"It's about Kon."

"We want you to order him to listen to us." Batgirl says to them, Nightwing nods.

"Yeah but when I was his best friend all I had to do was say Listen to Batman, you know he's right. That doesn't work unless you tell him something first." Dick says to him. "Come on Bruce you have to help us, we have to live with him every day."

Babs leans forward. "You don't know what it's like."

"See for the first couple of years we thought Kon hated our guts." Clark says, Bruce nods. "But as it turns out he doesn't hate us he hates the person telling him what to do."

"Yeah we get that!" Nightwing yells at him, Babs nods at them.

"Well get this, we don't have to be those persons anymore." Bruce says to them.

"Yeah we get to be the persons that stand here and say…ha ha." Clark says to them and chuckles.

"You're not going to help us?" Babs asks them stunned.

"Nope, we are enjoying our new relationship with Kon and we are not going to do anything to ruin it." Superman says to her.

Dick and Barbara start to leave.

"We will tell you this." Batman says, Dick and Barbara both turn to him. "Ha, ha." He says, Clark laughs in the background.

"Hey Tana." Clark says not looking up from his computer as he types. "I just got a hit of inspiration so give me a minute as I type out this paragraph, please."

"Sure."

"It's about Conner."

Clark stops typing looks up at her. "Is everything ok?"

"Did he tell you about last night?"

"Um."

"I know you told him about the meeting, and that's ok, I just feel bad about us going back to my apartment and I saw the scars, did you know about the scars?"

"Yeah um Tana-"

"It's ok, it was embarrassing for the both of us, so if you could just tell him that I'm sorry or tell him to call me, that'd be great thanks." Tana says to him and walks off.

"Tana wait." Clark says and she stops and turns around. "Conner isn't really ready for a…relationship."

"Oh um I don't really-"

"Conner went through a lot on his…trip. You're an amazing girl and Conner is struggling a little with his life he's trying to put it all back together. He's been through a lot."

"I know, I saw the scars, I just want to talk to him."

"I can give you his phone number if you promise to call him in a couple of days, let him cool off."

Kon was in his long sleeve shirt, his hand had healed well, his sweat pants and shoes in the work out gym, running in the treadmill as fast as he would which wasn't much. He was sweating and panting, Rose walks in her Nike shoes, shorts and sports bra, she looks at him walking to him beside him leaning on the treadmill.

"Are you seriously working out?" Rose asks him.

Kon was too tired to talk to her, so he nods.

"Well I need a buddy." She tells him as she goes to the weights. Kon stops the treadmill and grabs his water drinking/chugging it down uses the white towel to wipe off the sweat and walks off the treadmill as he continues drinking the water.

"How much weight?" he asks her.

"100."

"50, each."

"No, 100 each."

"Seriously?"

"I'm a badass."

"Ok badass, let's do this." Kon says to her.

They finished working out and lay down on the mat sweating, Kon through his shirt, Rose smiles.

"That was so awesome! I love working out!" Rose says tired. "What about you Supey?" She turns to look at him.

"Oh please don't call me that." he tells her quickly. "Yeah, just trying to test my limits."

"How are they?"

"Human."

"You still don't have your powers back?"

"Some, the ones that don't require much energy anyways."

"Sucks."

"Yeah but being in a place where I didn't have any of them, this is better."

She sits up looks down at him. "What was it like? The place, what did it look like?"

"Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon?"

"Yeah."

"Like that except there giant super powered mass murders everywhere and it's dark but has two suns and no water just sand and a whole lot of pissed off aliens trying to eat you."

"How did you survive?" Rose asks him.

"At first I kept my head down, I hid tried not to get noticed, that all went out in flames when Zod put out a bounty for me, he wanted a way out of the phantom zone, he thought I knew how."

"Who's Zod?"

"Do you General Lane?"

"Yeah, he's a dick head."

"He's like him except he annihilated his entire race to prove a point."

"When he found me, I told him I didn't know how to get out." Kon says and sits up pulling up his shirt from his back showing her all of the scars. "He thought I was lying."

"Shit." She says as she touches his back feeling his scars. "Not even I have these many scars."

"Yeah, it's taking a while for them to go away." He pulls down his shirt, he turns to her. "The one on your stomach." He points to her side.

Kon pulls up his sleeve, his arm had a swirl scar. "Acid tongue."

Rose pulls up her shorts. "Grenade."

Kon stands and pulls down his sweat pants. "Giant almost zombie monkey bite." He says pointing to his tight.

"That's sick!" she says seeing his tight, as if a shark had bitten down on it. Kon pulls up his sweats sits back down pulling down his shirt from his neck.

"Another one bit down on my shoulder."

"Damn." She says touching the punctured scar. "How did you get out of it?"

"I pulled out my knife stabbed them. Repeatedly. "

"Badass."

"Yeah." Kon says. "What about you? How'd you get in this life?"

"I was at a bad place with bad people, Nightwing came to my rescue."

"Nightwing?"

"Yeah, he told me I didn't have to end up like my father."

"You're father?" Kon asks, his phone starts ringing. "Damn it Kal." He says as he picks up the phone from his pocket, he looks at the ID.

"What?"

"I don't know the number." He says as he picks up. "I don't know this number, tell me your name before I hang up."

"It's Tana Moon." She says over the phone.

"What do you want?"

"I want to talk about the other night, I just wanted to say I was sorry and maybe if you wanted to get a drink."

"I don't want to talk-"

"We don't have to, we can just eat, you like eating right?"

"Yeah ok, I'm not doing much anyway."

"Wow, you eat a lot."

"Yeah." Conner nods, then stops eating his burger. "Oh that's bad isn't it?"

"No, guys eat, I got used to it when my roommate moved in."

Conner smiles at him. "So my scars."

"We don't have to talk about it."

"You're paying as if 4 people just eat on an intern salary, the least I could do is tell you a story."

"That's true."

"Well I was in Africa and I was delivering supplies to a referee camp, some soldiers pulled me over and held me hostage thinking I was with the rebels. I was tortured for months before they finally released me." Conner tells her a complete and total lie.

Tana stares at him. "Wow." She finally says. "That's…wow."

"It was worse a couple of weeks ago, they were still stitched up and infected."

"Ok you can stop talking now, that's gross."

"Sorry."

"When Clark told me that you need to get your life together before you started dating I didn't know this bad, I just thought that you where lazy or something."

"KAL!" kon yells out as he lands on the stand with him.

"Kon um what are you-?" Superman asks concerned.

"You told a girl I like that I was mentally unstable?"

"What? No."

"Yes you did! She told me!"

"I didn't tell her that, I just said that it was a bad time for you to have relationship."

"ooooo." The crowd says, Superman looks at them, then back at Kon.

"My personal life is none of your business!" Kon yells at him.

"You're my brother, of course it's my business."

"How would you like it if I told a woman you like that you where mentally unstable?!"

"I did not say those words!" Kal yells at him.

"You had no right to tell her anything!"

"That is ridiculous! She came to me, she was worried about you."

"You sold me out!" Kon yells at him.

"Yes you did. Absolutely, completely and totally sold me out-"

"Would you let me talk." Kal pinches his shoulder.

"Did you just pinch me?" Kon asks him, everyone in the crowd takes a step back and so does the League behind Superman.

Kal tries to calm down. "OK, well, you wouldn't let me finish and I was jus-" he starts then stop as Kon pinches him back. "Ow. That hurt." He says as he pinches Kon on his arm.

"Quit pinching me." Kon says as he pinches his shoulder.

"Ow, you stop pinching me." Kal says as he pinches his shoulder back.

"You pinched me first."

They keep pinching each other's shoulders as they both keep pinching harder and harder as they both stop. "OW!" they both yell out rubbing their shoulders. Kon glares at him and punches his shoulder, Kal looks at him then punches him back, Kon punches Kal on his jaw, Kal punches him on his stomach, turning into a punching fight.

"Oh wow." Flash says shocked that this was happening.

"We should do something." Wonder woman says.

"Go ahead." Batman says to her.

"Their brothers they need to fight." Captain Marvel says with a smile.

Kon punches Kal hard on his jaw and Kal kicks him back to the side of the crowd.

"Ok, kid this is getting a little out of hand." Kal says as he flies down to him. "Let's just call a truce ok?"

Kon rushes him, knocking him back down to the steps of the hall of justice as he punches him over and over and over.

"And that's blood." Diana points out.

"I got them." Batman says as he pulls up his glove and pushes a button on it, Diana flinches but Kon and Kal scream bloody covering their ears.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Kal and Kon both yell out still covering their ears as they sit on the floor, Kal laying down bleeding from his lip.

Batman pushes the button again, they both look up at Batman. "Alright, now I won't do it again if you both stop." He tells them.

Kon looks at his brother. "What do you want? Do you want me to stop seeing her, is that what you want?!"

"No, I just want you to be careful."

"I am being careful."

"I know you think you're ready but Kon you are not, you haven't even been back for month and I know about the nightmares." Kal says to him, he sits up putting his hand on top of Kon's. "You're not ready and I know you like her, so don't screw it up by going too quickly."

"ok." Kon whispers.

Kal hugs him.

"AWWWW." The crowd says unison as they take pictures.

The brothers separate and stand up both turning around giving them their back.

"That was embarrassing." Kon says.

"Yup." Kal says, Kon walks away, and Kal walks back up to the podium. He clears his throat. "Anymore question?"

Everybody raises their hands.

New York…shipping port

"Alright, let's split up." Red arrow says. "Kon and Ravager will take north side I will-"

"I'm sure Superboy can handle himself." Ravager says.

"Whatever." Kon says and jumps off the building then puts his feet on the side of the building before he hit the ground and pushes himself off it jumping on the north side of the shipping port, landing on a crane and starts hopping off it back down to the ground.

"That was so badass." Ravager says.

"Let's go." Red arrow says to her going to the south side of the shipping port.

"Superboy you got anything?"

"Nope." Superboy says as he crunches down dodging the surveillance cameras.

"So this is a bust." Ravager says annoyed.

"Alright, let's get out of here." Red arrow says to them on their com.

Superboy was walking back to the rendezvous point when he jumps out of the way of some knifes, he rolls out of the way the looks up at some shadows standing by, he turns seeing more of them. He puts up his fists and looks slowly turning his head.

They fight, Superboy sends out kicks and punches as he dodges swords and knifes.

Superboy sighs. "They just don't make shadows like they used to." He says as he walks off leaving the knocked out bodies. A smoke bomb is throws at his feet, he coughs as he covers his mouth and walks out of the area. He continues coughing as he catches his breath, he opens his eyes everything was blurry when he sees a someone walking towards him with a long white hair pony tail, armor is black and gray.

Superboy gets down on one knee trying to get back up. "Ravager?" he asks not seeing clearly.

"No." He says as he pulls out a sword, Superboy tries to hit him, but is too weak from the knock-out gas to do it and misses as he falls on his side. "I heard you were stronger than this. I guess that you really can't believe what you hear."

…unknown location

"I thought the Light-"

"Not yet, just make sure you don't let him escape."

"He's tied up, he's not going anywhere."

Kon hears the voices, one of them was Kaldur the other one he didn't know who it was but he was the same man who knocked him out. Kon moves a little feeling the chains on his wrist attached to the roof and his feet where free, but he had an inhibitor collar on.

"Are you awake?" he asks as he walks towards him, Kon says nothing he press his button, Kon grunts as he opens his eyes angry. "There you are."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Deathstroke."

"Well?" Kon says to him. "Hurry up and torture me before I fall asleep and miss it."

"The Light has some business with you, I'm here to keep you…tied up."

"You're babysitting me."

"Yes, kiddo."

"Where's Kaldur?"

"Who?"

"I heard him. Where is he, I want to talk to him."

"You are in no position to be making orders."

"Oh please, I can get out of here, whenever I want."

"Oh really?"

"Yes."

"I tied you up myself, you are not going anywhere."

"What are you exactly? To the Light I mean? A henchmen? You do as you're told by your bosses?"

"Just keep your mouth shut, you're starting to bug me kid."

"No, really what are you? And if your bosses were half as smart as they think they are, they'd know I won't take orders from a lackey." Kon says, Deathstroke glares at him. "You don't like lackey? Hmm. Ok how about, uh, servant? Or houseboy? Houseboy's nice. Oh, wait, I got it! Flunky! That's it. You're just a big, stupid, butt-ugly, slow-moving flunky."

"That's enough!" Deathstroke yells as he goes to punch him, Kon kicks the remote from his hand sending it flying to the other side of the room then wraps his legs around his neck.

"You really should have tied my feet." Kon tells him as he chokes him.

The door opens, Kon lets him go kicking him to the person at the door as they both fall back. Kon puts his body climbing the chain then pulls himself down as he yells a little, breaking the chain, he falls doing a flip landing on his feet as he sees more guards coming his way he goes to the remote and takes off the collar.

He uses the chain to his advantage, knocking back their guns and swords as he runs to get out. Deathstroke pulls out his sword.

"You're dead boy!"

"I don't think your boss will be ok with that." Kon says as he takes off the chains.

"They'll get over it."

Deathstroke starts swing his sword around as Kon ducks walking back. Kon spins his eyes turning red as he using his super speed to grab the sword stabbing him in the stomach, looking at him straight in the eye.

"You really should have read up on me." Kon tells him, he puts his foot on him and kicks him away as he teleports out of the place ending up in some forest, he leans on a tree.

"KON!" Kaldur yells out grabbing Kon's attention. Kon was panting his eyes back to normal, he was still holding Deathstroke's sword. "Drop the sword." He says as he pulls out his water-bearers making swords of his own.

Kon tosses the sword away from him looking tired. "What are you gonna do, stab me?"

"I've done it before."

"To Artemis, right? Prove your loyalty to the Light." Kon asks standing up straight facing him. "What's it gonna be for this time? Or do you even know? Or does The Light have you so turned around you don't know what to believe?" he asks him.

"I know what I believe." Kaldur says. "And I know what I want and I'm using the Light to get it."

"They are using you." Kon tells him. "It's what they do. You can't trust them." He says as he slowly walks to him.

"I don't trust anybody!" Kaldur yells at him, holding his water-bearers.

Kon knocks the water-bearers out of his hands with a burst of his TTk power. Kaldur punches, Kon dodges all for them, then kicks him out. "Stop." Kon says taking a step back. Kaldur grunts as he sends out a kick, Kon blocks it Kaldur punches him back. Kaldur rushes him, Kon grabs him then pulls back as if he was about to lay down, and kicks him back tossing him aside. Kon jumps up. "I said stop!" He yells at him. Kaldur gets up sends out a punch Kon grabs him sweeping his feet under him getting him down on his knees. "Remember this." Kon says as he puts his other arm on Kaldur's forearm.

"No!" Kaldur yells out.

"I did this because I care." Kon tells him and slams his arm down.

"AHHHAHAHAHA!" Kaldur yells out as his arm breaks and Kon slams him down, Kaldur holds his arm curled up in pain.

Kon grabs the sword. "Get out while you're still alive." He says to him and stabs him through both legs into the ground.

"AHHHAHAHAH!" Kaldur screams out in pain, Kon runs off.

…Mount Justice

"I cannot believe we've lost him, again."

"I know this is like the billionth time."

"It's been five days." Ravager points out. "He's probably dead."

They turn to her.

"Have you not meet Kon?" Zatanna asks him.

"Where's Wolf? He could probably find him."

"Or his dead body." Ravager mumbles.

"Do the locator spell again." Batman tells Zatanna.

"Etacol repus-"

Zatanna stops mid spell when the computer announces Superboy.

"Oh sweet mother of God finally." Kon says walking in wearing a very colorful orange and yellow shirt and shorts, bear footed, Wolf by his side. "I am so hungry, please tell me that there is food."

"I made pot roast two days ago." Megan says to him.

"Good enough." Kon says and walks to the kitchen.

They look at each other, Superman and Batman look at each other then follow him in.

"Oh no." Ravager whispers to herself.

"That's usually what happens." Red arrow says and goes into the kitchen wanting to know how exactly he escaped this time around.

"Let's go and gather around how Superboy was able to escape the evil clutches of the Light." Zatanna says dramatically as she puts her arm around Roy's, Dick follows.

Superman uses his heat vision to warm up the pot roast for Kon as he grabs a fork and gets out three water bottles, he opens all of them up and starts eating off the pot it was made from.

"mmm, god I miss food."

"You didn't eat?"

"For three days." Kon says as he chews uses his fork.

"And the flashy clothes."

"Yeah, doesn't exactly scream you."

"I stole them." He says as he swallows then drinks one of the open water bottles.

"Slow down Kid." Batman says to him. "You'll choke."

Kon finishes the water. "Yeah, right." He says exhaling, he continues to eat.

"So what happened?"

"Well I go to the rendezvous point when a whole bunch of shadows ambushed me, I kicked their asses but then some dude with a silver pony tail throw some knock out gas, took me hostage talking about killing me."

"What'd you say to him?" Red arrow asks.

"I told him he should have tied my feet as well, my eyes got all bright red and I stabbed him with his sword. Didn't have enough power to teleport back, landed in some forest where Kaldur showed up and I kicked his ass, he really hasn't been training that much if I was able to beat him without my powers. Anyways I tried to teleport again but crashed down in the middle of the Caribbean."

"Clothes."

"Yeah, I remembered all of the locations for the zeta beam's that Batman made us memorize. Thank you for that."

"You're welcome."

Kon continues to eat. "Wolf showed up. The end." He adds.

"Nice job badass." Zatanna says to him, grabbing green beans tupperware and a fork for him.

"I try." Kon shrugs as he eats, eats the green beans. Batman starts walking away. "Hey, you might want to up security around here, that ponytail guy was pissed kinda hard to sleep at night."

"I will." Batman says to him.

"Hey, be careful kid." Superman says as he pats his head, Kon nods as he eats.

"I need to put a better gps on him." Batman says to Superman.

"Agreed."

"I heard that!" Kon yells at them.

"Tell us we're wrong." Superman says to him.

"I'm too hungry to argue with you." Kon tells him and continues to each. "Get me some pie."

"Kon-"

"I survived for 5 days, 2 of which was in the ocean, is it too much to ask for a some pie?"

"I'll be right back." Superman says to his little brother and walks off with Batman.

"Apple pie!" Kon yells.

"He could talk a nun into a three-way." Roy whispers to Nightwing, he chuckles.

…Warehouse

"It wasn't my fault! Your boy-"

"My son is injured!"

"Yeah? And how's my dad doing?" Ravager asks him.

"He's fine, healing."

"My dad put himself on the line just like I did, Kaldur is the one who screwed up, I told you Kon was getting his powers back but you idiots still tried to take him on."

"That's enough, we'll try again."

"Hell no."

"Ravager-"

"You want to put him down, do it yourself you coward." She tells them and walks off.

…Mount Justice

"Good ride?" Kon asks as Rose gets off her bike taking off her helmet.

"Yeah."

"Something wrong?" he asks her as he lends on the wall.

"No, I just wanted to clear my head, it didn't help as much."

"We can go patrolling."

"Nightwing doesn't like it when we go off on our own."

"Right." Kon says and smirks. "I forget he's the leader."

"That's cause you don't give a shit what he says."

"No, Kaldur was the leader and Nightwing was Robin."

"And now Kaldur is part of the Light and Robin is Nightwing-your leader."

"Yeah." Kon says and Wolf walks in, Kon pats his head ruffling his fur on his ears. "Let's go boy."

"Where are you going?"

"I can't sleep here until Batman makes the upgrades."

"And you can sleep outside?"

"Yeah, it's peaceful, you should try it."

"I like sleeping in beds." Rose says as she starts walking in. "Maybe you can come join me some time." She adds.

Kon turns to watch her walk away, then looks at Wolf. "What is that supposed to mean?" he asks his friend. Wolf scoffs and walks off to the exist. "What is that supposed to mean?" he asks him.
