Superman accepts Superboy from the beginning everything is going great until Superboy's new power's start to develop and they get out of control. Lex Luthor manipulates him to go rouge and he starts to attack the people he loves. Author's note inside. Rated M for violence and sex.

28. Kidnapping Superboy

Singapore…Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

"I'm telling you Wolf I just need a couple of more days and I'll get all of my powers back." Kon says as he walks past the

"Grrrrrgrrr! Ruff ruff ruff!" head low, tail pointed, lips curled in a snarl as he stared right at the trees.

"Whoa dude, who you think you're growling at?" Kon asks his buddy, he didn't see any person for miles.

Wolf continues to bark and growl at nothing as they both get attacked by flying darts after the first one hits Kon he ducks down and Wolf gets hit dozens of times as he falls down knocked out, Kon uses his infrared vision to see an army.

"We missed."

"Keep shooting."

"Oh fuck, he can see us."

Kon jumps up to fly but they shoot him, and keep shooting as he falls down on his knees and falls down on his back, he moans.

"We got him, we got the dog too."

"Leave the dog, take the boy."

Kon passes out.

…

Kon wakes up not knowing where he was, he puts his hand on his neck feeling a collar, he sighs, why does it always have to be an inhibitor collar? He feels a chair on his writs, he pulls on it, he crawls on the floor as he follows it until he feels for a wall.

"Hey." Kon says in a raspy voice, he clears his throat. "Hey!" he yells out and starts pulling on the metal chain. "Come on what do you want!?" he asks as he pulls on it. "You do realize that I got no cash right?" he asks. "HELLO!" he yells out. "YO assholes!" he yells out. "Fine, be that way!" he yells out as he stops pulling on the chain and leans on the wall.

The door opens letting the light in, Kon puts up his hands covering his eyes.

"Get up."

"Kinda tied up right now." He waves his wrist to him.

"Shut up." The man says as he goes to knock him out, instead Kon swings his leg under him putting his legs on around his neck, chock holding him as he squeezes him tight, then sits up and punches him out. He pats the guy down and grabs keys to his cuff as he whistles as he uncuffs himself.

"Damn, where's the control?" he asks still looking through the guys pockets. "Not here."

He looks at the man in a snow camouflage military uniform, he looks at his own S t-shirt and jeans, he smiles. After switching clothes with him, cuffing him and taking the key as he closes the door to his cell.

"Hey!"

He makes a face as he makes sure that the inhibitor collar is hiding under the half mask and shirt collar then turns. "Sir?"

"What where do you in there?"

"He was making noise and I shut him up, he should be out for a long while."

"Oh, good. General Lane has been trying to take a flight here but the weather outside is a nightmare. He'll be here in an hour or so, as long as the weather stays clear. Make sure you keep your distance from it."

"Yes sir." Kon says to him, the man walks off. "Sir?"

"Yes."

"Where is the control room to the collar?"

"Fourth floor, you should know that Corporal."

"Yes sir, sorry sir."

…

Kon was now in the control room nobody was in so he takes a look around until he finds the right panel and clicks off his own inhibitor collar off, drops it steps on it. He whistles as he starts punching in random buttons as he looks at a red button that said do NOT press and smiles then a door opens.

"What are you doing?" the military officer asks, Kon press the button. "What did you just do?" he says shoving him away as he tries to figure out what Kon had down. "You idiot you pressed the self-destruction."

"You have a self-destruction button?" Kon asks.

"The self-destruct system has been activated. All personnel, evacuate immediately." A computer says as it starts to blare loudly.

"That's too bad." Kon says as he takes off the mask and cap on his head, ruffling his hair, he hated wearing caps.

"Who are you? Who's your commanding officer?"

"My name is Superboy and you should be running."

…

Kon runs down the hallway all of the military guys where already gone. "Why can't I teleport? Damn it!" he makes his eyes turn red and teleports out into the sky, the military base below him, he starts to fall. "Oh crap!" he yells out as he free falls down, he lands on his back. "ow." He whispers then stands up.

"Where is he?!"

"That boy cost us millions of dollars!"

"He's dead meat when we find him!"

Kon hears them say.

He scoffs as he walks into the snow the military base burning to the ground. "Give me a break." He says to himself as he starts walking his eyes going back to normal. After walking for hours, Kon leans on a tree he was freezing cold, his lips where turning blue, no sunlight meant he couldn't even grab a couple of radiation of the rays, he takes a step and falls down, snow starts to cover him.

Wolf was sniffing the snow as he picks up Kon's scent and runs towards his snow covered buddy, he nudges him with his nose then licks some of the snow off his face with his hot tongue.

Kon opens his eyes. "Wolf." He whispers with a sigh. "You found me, good boy." But Kon didn't moving, Wolf curls up with him trying to keep his friend warm, starts to howl up to the gray sky.

…Mount justice

"Red eyes?" Robin asks.

"Ok, here's what you're going to do." Cassie says to Kon. "You're going to grab a pen, some paper, and then you're going to write a list of all your powers."

"I'm not doing that, the list is as long as my arm it'll take forever." Kon says to her.

"Show off." Lagoon boy mumbles.

"Jealous much?" Kon says to him. "Don't worry I can't breathe under water, your job is save."

"Show us." Rose says to him.

"No!" Superman, Batman, Nightwing, Megan and Roy say at the same time.

"Why not?"

"When Kon goes red eyes, he makes rabid pitbulls look like chia pets." Batman says to her.

"Aw you say the nicest things to me." Kon says sarcastically.

"It's true, don't make him angry." Superman says.

"You're kidding right?" Cassie says to him, they look at her dead serious, they look at Kon, he gives them a sweet innocent smile.

"Seriously?" Rose says pointing to Kon.

"If you see his eyes turn red, run and don't look back." Batman tells them.

"I need a better name for it. Red eyes? Not good name. How about Adrenaline Rush?" Kon says to his friends.

"It's kinda long." Roy says. "How about AR?" he suggests the initials.

"No."

"Rush of adrenaline?"

"Still too long."

"RoA?"

"No." they all say at the same time.

"The Rush?" Kon asks.

"Better." Roy says to him.

"Why adrenaline rush?"

"Because it's an adrenaline rush, it pulls my entire endorphins to block out pain and trauma in addition to speeding up my reaction time. After it's over, just like any other person after an adrenaline rush, I'm extremely tired or I even pass out."

"Um wow, that is…wow." Cassie says.

"So The Rush?" Kon asks.

"Well stick with that, see how it sounds."

"So, if you're in your rush-" Batgirl starts.

"Rush mode!" Kon yells out.

"Whoa, yeah! Sounds cool." Roy nods.

Kon smiles. "I'm sorry you were saying?" he asks turning back to her.

"When you're in your rush thing-" Batgirl starts again.

"Mode." He adds.

"When you're in your rush mode, can you control it?"

"I used to bpz."

"BPZ?" Batgirl says confused.

"Before Phantom Zone." Roy says.

"Thanks bro."

"And now?" Batgirl asks

"Just now, I could but I'm not up to full strength. The times I had tired it, bpz like Batman says I made pitbulls look like chia pets."

"Rabid pitbulls." Batman corrects him.

"Rabid pitbulls?" Kon asks looking at him, Batman nods. "Rabid pitbulls." He turns to tell her.

"You can't control it at all?" Batgirl asks him.

"I still haven't tried it outside to practice with, like I said it leaves me kinda vulnerable."

"How vulnerable?"

"Well I…" he stops and looks at her. "You really where trained by Batman."

"Excuse me?"

"I already made that mistake once, I'm not doing it again." Kon tells her. "I'll show you mine, when you show me yours."

"He's learning." Batman says to Superman.

"Good for him." Superman nods.

"I'm still a little worried about you, kid." Batman finally confessed.

Kon looks at him. "I'm all right, I promise."

"He's right, you seem too calm. Too accepting of what you were put through." Superman steps forward.

"I think you're repressing, putting on a brave face, and that you're gonna have a meltdown when our backs are turned."

"You're right, I should be traumatized, I should be angry, resentful and afraid." Kon tells them. "But I'm not, I'm none of those things."

"How is that even possible?"

"I don't know, superior genetics?"

"Kon-"

"I honestly don't know. I thought they were going to kill me or experiment on me, even brainwash me, but I escaped and I'm alright."

"You say that a lot."

"I've suffered horrible nightmares, but you need to stop trying to fix me. I'm not broken, so just stop."

"We're just trying to help."

"And you wouldn't be you if you tried."

Kon smiles at them hugs them both at the same time, Batman puts his hand on the back of his head, Superman puts his hand on his back.

Metropolis…carnival

"Kon distract him!" Superman yells at him.

"Got it!" Superboy yells back.

Superboy flies straight for Atomic Skull, he throws a yellow beam at him, Superboy dodges it, as he keeps throwing yellow beams at him, Superboy continues to dodge them. Skull throws multiple attacks as one hits Superboy. Skull quickly turns and uses a full blast hitting Superman in the chest.

"AH!" Superman screams out in pain as he lands on the ground.

"It's over Superman." Atomic Skull yells out as he about to do another ultimate full blast at his face to blow it off.

Superboy gets back up on his feet. "No!" he yells out he gives all of his might to blast at Atomic Skull for the very last time and finally shoots a blast of his TTk power from his fists knocking both Skull and Superman down.

"Impossible!" Atomic Skull yells out shocked. "You're not supposed to have your powers back!"

Superboy had fallen to his knee. "I-I got my tactical telekinesis back?" he says confused. "I have my powers back!" he yells standing up with a smile.

Superboy starts blasting more blue blasts at Skull as Superman layed on the ground surprised. Skull tries to blast him with a yellow beam, Superboy ducks of the way he spins putting his hand on his fist and gives Skull one final blow. Skull is blasted out of the area and into the sea. The military shows up seconds later carrying Atomic Skull off.

"General Lane."

"Superboy."

"I heard about your military base in Alaska, that's too bad."

"Thank you." General Lane says and walks off to his people.

Kon sticks out his middle finger at him, the crowd takes pictures. Superman quickly puts it down holding his hand. Kon looks up at him glaring.

"Down boy, there cameras everywhere."

"I hate him." Kon growls watching General Lane walk into a military jeep.

"I know."

…Watchtower

"Hey." Superman says as he walks to the zeta beam.

"Hey."

"I got a message from Kon saying to come to Mount Justice asap."

Batman turns to him. "Me too."

"Should we be worried?"

"With Kon? Always." Batman says as he sends a message to Kon back saying. What is it? "It's a surprise." He reads.

"I hate surprises." Superman says as he enters the zeta beam.

…Mount Justice

"SURPRISE!"

"I did not see that coming."

"This is why I hate surprises."

Kon goes up to them putting a Hawaiian Leis on their necks. "Surprise." He tells them.

"Why?" Batman asks wearing a pink leis around his neck while Superman wore a rainbow colored one.

"I've got my powers back!" Kon tells them exited. "All of them!" he says smiling. "Are you surprised?"

"The tiniest feather could drop me in the gutter." Superman says with a smile.

"Congratulations Kon." Batman says and turns to walk back to the zeta beam.

"Where are you going?" Kon asks grabbing his arm.

"Home, I haven't slept in over 38 hours."

"Oh please, I know you can go more than that." Kon says as he walks to the table in the middle of the briefing room he grabs two Hurricane glass with a blue liquid in them and a pineapple on the rim. "Here you go, a glass." He says giving it to them, Batman opens his mouth. "It doesn't have any alcohol so don't worry, now drink up."

They drink it.

"Oh god." Batman says swallowing hard.

Superman makes a face. "What is this?"

"A blue Hawaiian." Kon says to him. "Too much pineapple?"

"Yes."

"Just a tad." Superman says.

Kon pulls out his phone. "You know it says, a cup of pineapple juice-OH 2 ounces of pineapple juice, yeah that makes more sense."

"Dude pools ready." Roy says wearing a red bathing suit.

"Filled with bubbles?"

"Yup."

"Awesome." Kon says and walks off with Roy.

"I'm in charge of photos." Zatanna says in a head to toe Hawaiian clothes, grass skirt, coconut bra and a flower on her hair. She puts up a camera. "Say cheese." She tells them as they hold the drinks-they don't smile Zatanna takes the picture anyway. "Awesome. Enjoy." She says as she walks away to take more pictures.

"How long do we have to say here for?" Batman asks Superman.

"It's Kon, until he says so."

…

"Is it over?" Batman asks tired.

"Oh god I hope so." Superman says picks up the pink drink it was Kool-Aid.

"No more surprises." Batman says.

"Amen to that."

"Hey, so did you guys have fun?" Kon asks them.

"Yes." Superman says to him.

"Tired?"

"Yes." Batman says to him.

"Did I surprise you guys?" Kon asks him.

"Yes and you need to stop doing that, kid." Batman says to him.

"You know it's ok to be surprised sometimes." Kon says to them. "That's the fun part of life."

"You surprise us." Batman tells him. "All the time."

"And that is enough for us." Superman adds.

Kon smiles at them and gives them both a hug.

…

"Alright, that's good." Kon says to Cassie as she gets in a fighting stand. "You gotta remember to keep your knees bent, micro bend, nice and loose so you can move at any time. Yes you have super strength but you need to move fast sometimes, plus it keeps your enemies on their toes."

"Ok." Cassie says as she moves her knees bending them a little.

"Alright." Kon says and claps his hands. "Punch me." Cassie starts punching his palms twice and grunting. "That's good, come on." He says as she punches and he moves backwards as she continues to punch while moving. "You feel that?"

"Yeah, it's good." Cassie says with a smile.

"Diana didn't train you?

"Yeah she did, I need to practice more."

"Alright keep going."

Cassie continues to punch Kon's palms and he moves around trying to keep her on her toes. Cassie jumps up, spins around and kicks his palm, sending Kon's arm back. Kon groans.

"How was that?"

"Atta girl." Kon says rubbing his palm.

Cassie giggles.

Robin and Nightwing both walk in the zeta beams.

"What are you guys doing?"

"Bonding." Kon says as he puts an arm around Cassie's waist, Cassie turns to look at him with a smile.

"Well hate to break up the party but I have a mission for you."

Kon starts walking away from Cassie as Robin goes to her. "I love him." she whispers to him, he looks at her stunned.

"Cass come on." Kon calls out to her she jumps up and walks up to him standing beside him.

…

"Come on, I need my morning workout."

"Dude, I am so tired, I can't even think." Robin says laying on the briefing room floor.

"Rose, come on."

Rose turns to look at him, sweating. "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Alright fine, let's go Cass, us supers gotta stick together."

Cassie looks up at him. "You said we were going to hang out and play."

"We are hanging out and playing." Kon says to the tired newbies.

"This is not play, this is work." Cassie says to him.

"Yeah dude it's in the word, work-out." Robin tells him.

"Alright, one more hour then we can play video games."

"Let's play now." Rose says exited.

"I like Call of duty." Cassie says.

"Nice, we can do that." Robin says.

"Yes, in an hour." Kon says to them.

"No." Rose, Robin and Cassie say at the same time.

"Ok fine 30 minutes."

"We'll work out with you Kon." Superman says joined with Batman and Wonder woman.

"Are you fucking with me? Cause it's not nice."

"But we have a different arena in mind." Wonder woman says to him.

…Paradise Island

The amazons and Justice League cheered them on in the stadium as Superman, Batman and Wonder woman 'work-out'. Kon punches down Diana he sees Kal flying straight for him, Kon kicks him back to the wall of the stadium, Batman jumps in with staff, he swings it around, Kon dodges the attacks then does several back flips getting some distance between them, giving them his back. Batman pulls out some batarangs and throws it at them not realizing that Diana and Kal where behind him all lined up.

Kon spins and crouches down, making the carbon dioxide he had exhaled for the work out spin around him. Kon charges his attack, seeing the batarangs coming towards him then redirects the spinning air, shooting it as a torrent towards the trinity. The torrent hits Batman not seeing the air hit him, knocking him back into Diana as she was getting back up, then knocking them into Superman and making a hole in the stadium.

Every Amazon and Leaguer stay quiet as they look at Kon.

Kon jumps up. "Whoo-hoo!" he yells out as he spins and lands flexing his biceps. "I am the champion!" he says with a smile.

They start cheering with more enthusiasm than before.

"They went easy on him…" Robin says clapping then pauses as he turns to Nightwing. "Right?" he asks him.

"Ummm…Sure." Nightwing says as he claps.

"We should train like that, every day." Kon says to the trinity as he helps pick up Batman.

"No." all three say at the same time.

"Oh come on now, I won't use my TTk next time." Kon says to them, they roll their eyes at him as they dust themselves off and walk off, Kon follows behind them. "Please?"

"No!" they yell at him.

"You guys suck!" Kon yells back angry and teleports out.

Superman and Wonder woman turn to look at Batman.

"Don't look at me, I'm only human." Batman says and walks to his plane.

"I'll take Monday, Wednesdays and Friday you take Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday." Superman says to her.

"Alright, but what about Sunday." Wonder woman says to him.

"Sunday is the day of rest."

"For us you mean."

"Of course."

"Agreed."

Washington, D.C…Hall of Justice

"We would like to re-introduce Superboy." Superman says on the podium with multiple microphones on it with different news media.

"HI GUYS!" Superboy yells out happy pushing Superman away, everyone scream out. "It is so great to be back. The prison world sucked and I love being here and I love you guys."

"How are you?!"

"When did you get back?!"

"Are you back for good?!"

"Yes, I'm back for good, until some other douchebag tries to kill me. I'm alright, I'm mostly over it. Down to once a week on the night terrors. There is nothing more awesome than having Superman patch up the heat vision scorched marks in the roof. Anymore question?"

"When did you get back?!"

"I got back about 2 months ago, I was just dealing with some sever PTSD I was all jumpy, on edge and angry, very angry I didn't sleep much for a week. My bed was too soft, I was showering a lot, eating a lot, drinking a lot of water, and I was brushing my teeth. And I really miss showering with hot water any water at all really."

"What was it like?" a man asks him.

"Hot, messy, bloody and 360 degrees of pure combat." Kon answers him. "Anybody else?"

"What happen to the bad guy?"

"Zod? He's still in the Prison, so let's not worry about it until he comes back if he does we're kicking his ass back in-I know that shirt." He says stopping mid-sentence as he points to a girl wearing his S black t-shirt. "Is that my shirt? How did you get my shirt?" he asks her.

"Yes!" the girl yells out.

"Wait a minute, I know you." Kon says to her.

"You gave it to me!" she yells out in the crowd.

"Yeah, you had a cancer and you were dying, you had like 5 months to live." Kon says nodding remembering. "You lied to me!" he yells at her joking. "You're supposed to be dead, and so I'm I." he realizes. "Hey we have something in common!" he yells out to her, everyone laughs. "That is so weird, I turn around and there it is." He says on the microphone amazed.

Superman takes a step forward. "What else are you missing?" he asks him.

Kon pats himself down. "Let me see your underwear." He says as he walks into the crowd and goes to hug her, she hugs him back. "That's ok, I have x-ray vision you don't have to show me your underwear." She laughs at him, kissing him on his cheek, Kon smiles at her, kissing her forehead.

"Any other questions?" Superman asks standing where Kon had been.

"Oh I have one." Kon says waving his hand out jumping up and down the girl next to him laughing. "I saw my statue next to Superman in the park!" He yells out to everyone. "That is soooo badass, I don't even know what to say." He flies up looking down at everyone. "I love you Metropolis! And I'm so happy to be back!" he yells out to them, they yell and cheer out to him.

…Hall of Justice

"You want us to do a what?"

"A press interview." Catherine Cobert says to them.

"Again?" Superman asks.

"Why?" Superboy asks annoyed.

"Is this because of the fight? We'll do a press release if you want, we'll apologize to each other." Superman says to her.

"We all know that you can't make me do anything I don't want to do, so what are you going to do for me?" Kon asks a bit smugly.

They all look at him.

"What do you want?"

"And in their lies the rub, I don't want anything, so convince me." Kon says with a smile.

"Good luck with that." Superman says smiling as well.

"You two planed this." Catherine says pointing at them.

"No we didn't." Kon says to her.

"Yes you."

"I'm Superman and he's Superboy."

"Yeah, the Super family."

"We never lie."

"It's kinda of our thing." Superboy smirks.

"Do you two ever discuss anything that's not attached to work?"

"Well, Catherine could be right-I mean, we talk a lot about work."

"I've tried talking about my sex life with you."

"I'm not talking about your…"

"Sex life." Kon finishes his sentence.

"That's just weird." Kal adds.

"Brothers talk about it all the time." Kon says, Kal looks at him. "Or so I hear."

"You wouldn't want me to talk about my…"

"Sex life." Catherine finishes his sentence, Kon giggles.

"What is it with you two?" Kal asks them.

"Don't sweat it buttercup." Kon tells him.

"I don't like you."

"What are you trying to get at here?" Kon asks Catherine.

"Your inability to share your personal lives, I thought that was obvious."

"Ok, that was snotty." Kon says to her. "I don't respond well to snotty." He says to her.

"I wasn't-" Catherine starts.

"Raise you to the moon." Kon turns to his brother.

"I am not going to-" Kal starts, Kon flies off at super speed. "HEY! That's cheating!" Kal yells as he flies after him.

Convention Metropolis Center…2 weeks later

"We have a special guests, the house is packed." Cat Grant says wearing a red power suit sitting on a one seat couch. "Let's introduce Superman and Superboy."

Superman and Superboy walk in to the stage sit down on the two seat couch next to each other.

"Hi."

"Hey."

"It's good to see you back Superboy."

"Kon, and yeah I'm happy to be back."

"And Superman, who's taking care of Metropolis?"

"Capitan Marvel is patrolling as we speak."

"I guess everyone's big question is, how are you doing Kon?" Lois Lane asks.

"I'm still here."

"But I mean how are you still here?" Cat digs at him. "If I was you I'd be curled up in a ball somewhere."

"Good thing you're not me."

"I think what Kon means is that, he has a good support system at home."

"Right, sure." Cat says not convinced.

"I should say great start of a conversation. 'How was your three years in hell?'?" Kon says sarcastically.

"Kon."

"I'm just playing."

"Right well, Superman you've changed a little."

"You have?" Kon asks him.

"My uniform." Superman says to Kon.

"Oh yeah, you're not wearing the underwear anymore." Kon chuckles.

"Yes, it's new. I re-designed it a little, more comfortable, more flexible"

"A red belt, what do you have in there anyways?" Kon says pointing at it.

"Stuff."

"You have keys to your house?"

"I'm not giving you a key."

"When will you be sporting a new costume Kon?"

"Oh here we go." Superman mumbles.

Kon laughs. "I was hoping you'd ask me that." he says as he takes out his phone from the side pocket of his combat jeans. "So, I started tweeting, when I got back and realized what a giant thing that was, I'm still getting the hand of things, and I put pictures of me."

"Selfies." Superman corrects him.

"Right, selfies." Kon corrects himself. "Just, what I'm up to, me and Zatanna hanging out busting bad guys, Red Arrow, Nightwing, I took one of Batman, that one got a lot of likes-you guys know, I got like 5 million followers and you guys message me and stuff, and I know a lot of languages even if you're from Europe or Asian or Australia where ever I know what you guys are asking and so I'm gonna send out a picture right now you guys can share it and stuff." he says as he goes through his phone.

"It's a pretty good picture." Kal says with a smile.

"Alright, it's up, look at your phones." Kon says, Kal tries not to laugh. "And that is me, wearing tights."

"His gift to you." Kal tells them.

"Enjoy." Kon says they all look at their phones.

"This is real?!" someone yells out.

"Is this your new costume?!"

"Yes it's real, it was before I knew better, I look ridiculous and it only lasted about a week it's somewhere in the back of my closet."

"Tell them why."

"Why?" Kon asks confused. "Why!" he yells out remembering. "Right yeah. Why have I decided to humiliate myself like this? That's a good question Kal, I'll tell you why, because they keep blackmailing me with that picture- 'If you don't do this then we'll post it.' So it's out in the open they can't blackmail me anymore. It's done."

"And it's not his new costume, it's an old one."

"Very old, 6 years old." Kon says to them. "It doesn't seem very old, but for clothes, that is very old."

"So what's your inspiration for your costume?" Cat asks him seriously.

Kon bursts out laughing. "That's funny." He says to her still chuckling, Superman slightly shaking his head. "No, no inspiration." He says after he stops laughing.

"No inspiration at all?"

"No, um I put it on." Kon says to her. "Ok so for Superman, Batman and most of the big guns super heroes they all have costumes, uniforms whatever you want to call them. Its work for them, they put on their masks, their capes and they go out and fight crime. Me it's not work, it's my life, I don't have anything outside this life, I don't have a fake name, I don't have a secret ID, I don't have an apartment with maximum security system or anything like that."

"It's not a job." Superman says simply.

"A couple of announcements before we start all of the money for this, all of the money you paid is going to cancer distributed by the lovely Catherin Cobert and just to set the record straight, I never blackmailed Kon into anything."

"I have Krypto, he's at home watching over it." Superman tells them.

"I do too, I have a wolf, his name is Wolf, he's awesome, and he's one of my best friends." Kon says.

"I have a lot of best friends." Kon answers. "Robin was the first but he and Kid Flash had weird best friends first or something connection that was a total turn off for me, so Zatanna but she talks…a lot and lately that's all she wants to do, it's so annoying and I know this is being filmed-she knows this, I've told her. Since I got back from the phantom zone which if anyone has ever been to prison or a war knows that that is the last, last thing you want to talk about, especially to your friends. Red arrow is I guess my best friend, but I'm gonna have to go with Wolf."

"Who's your best friend Superman?"

"Batman." Kon answers.

They laugh.

"No, don't laugh, it's true." Kal tells them. "We are best friends or I consider him my best friend, I don't know about him, he's Batman I can't really tell."

"The thing about Kal and Batman is that Batman doesn't care how nice Kal is, or how naïve he is. For example a couple of years ago-"

"No, I get to tell it, you'll tell it wrong."

"I wasn't going to tell it wrong."

"Whatever."

"There was a team of villains they tried destroy half the Earth's population with a powerful solar flare, we were able to use a boom tube-"

"Ok, before Batman suggested that we built the giant boom tube I suggested we move the earth, he said that was a bad idea."

It was awesome!" Kon giggles. "Laugh people, Batman called Superman and idiot, it's ok to laugh. I remember it and laugh, it's funny. That's the first sign of friendship, being able to call each other idiots."

"I've never called Batman an idiot." Kal snaps at Kon.

Everybody cheers and Kal claps as well.

"You dirty, dirty people." Kon says to her. "Why where you clapping?" he asks Kal.

"Because it took 3 months to make it for you."

"Oh…sorry."

"My question is, you two have great chemistry and have a big age difference does it ever affect your work?"

"Yes." Kal and Kon say at the same time.

"We have a 17 year difference between us, and most brothers have a three or five or however many years."

"Not 17." Kon says.

"Not 17 and I think that's more of a father-son age difference and because of that we feel-" Kal starts, Kon turns to look at him. "I feel that I'm more overprotective of him than most brothers and because we are brothers I like to be in his personal life."

"And I don't like it, as you saw from our fight. Like Kal pointed out we have a father-son age, he's always getting in my business but we are brothers we fight, what's really awesome is that we can fight one minute and hug it out the next and then we can kick some villain ass."

"Exactly."

"Well I um…" Kon starts and turns to Kal. "ummmmm…I dig girls with guy names by the way."

Kal laughs, the crowd laughs with him. "That's what he does when he doesn't know the answer to something." He tells them, they laugh harder.

"You answer the question."

"I would have been a doctor, a doctor doctor not a surgeon or specialist or anything like that, I would travel the world in the organization doctors without borders and help other countries. Iraq, Middle eastern parts, Asia, and of course Africa and South America. "

"You've thought this through haven't you?"

"Yes, doctor or a fire-fighter."

"How about a cop?" Kon asks.

"No, I don't really like guns."

"So I would be a cop then."

Kal laughs at him. "No you won't, you hate authority."

The crowd laughs with Kal.

"That's true." Kon nods. "So um I don't have an answer for that, because-oh man this is so corny, I have only ever wanted to be a Superhero, I've never thought about doing anything else. This is my life I wouldn't trade it for anything and I don't want to do anything else."

"Awwww."

"Shut up! I'm trying to talk to you people!" Kon yells at them.

"I think that because unlike Kon I didn't get my full set of powers until I was way older."

"Ok, now you shut up." Kal tells him. "When I was younger I had other options I have childhood memories and that play a big part in it."

"No, I just love kicking bad guys ass." Kon says, everybody claps and screams out, Kon smiles.

"Next question-do you have, ok." Kal says as he looks up to the people walking around with microphones.

"Um hi, I love you Superboy."

"No problem. It's always amazes me when we make an impact in someone's life and we take it for granted."

"It is an amazing feeling getting told that you saved someone's life when they were babies and now they're in college starting their life, or even have kids of their own forming their own families."

"Did you have a question Angie?" Kal asks ignoring Kon.

"I have a request that they made it clear they didn't want me to ask."

"Want me to beat them up for you?" Kon asks standing up ready to fight.

"No." she giggles a little. "But you can come to my son's birthday party."

"Who are you asking? Me or Kal?" he asks as he sits back down on his chair.

"The both of you."

"You want the both of us at your son's birthday party?" Kon asks her.

"How old is your son?" Kal asks her.

"He's turning eight."

"You want Kon at an eight year olds birthday party?" Kal asks her as he tries to suppress his laughter. "That is just a bad idea, on so many levels." He chuckles.

"I'll go, tell the dude that told you to not ask the question your information and we'll be there."

"When is it?"

"Because you're so important and have other things to do?" Kon asks him sarcastically.

"What day?" Kal asks her again, ignoring Kon.

"Yes."

"Ok."

"Are you free that day?" Kon asks him.

"When you were in the phantom zone-" a man starts.

"I don't want to talk about it, next." Kon interrupts him.

"I did 3 tours in Afghanistan, lost count of the bodies somewhere in the second and I want you to know that I get it. When you are ready to talk about what happen you will feel like a weight has been lifted."

"Here, here." Kon says to him cheering, everybody else claps as well. "Did you hear about Alaska?"

"I know, I didn't want to bring it up, I wasn't there but my buddy told me."

"Actually he felt really bad about it and I know most of the soldiers did too, they were just following orders."

"I know, tell them it's cool, my beef is with Lame I mean Lane. I always do that."

The soldier chuckles. "Will do."

"No." they said in a chorus.

"It's ok, it's better this way." Kon shrugs.

"Then you understand." Kal says to them. "He's the only person-no he's the only being in the universe that makes me want to beat him to a bloody nothing." He tells them. "But he's my brother and I love him." he adds.

Kon laughs, everyone laughs with him. "In short, family-you can love them one moment then want to kill them the next minute."

"Hi this is so awesome, I won't be able to make my apartment payment this month, totally worth it."

"We are in the same boat dude, this job don't pay a thing." Kon tells him. "We don't even get any of the money you guys paid for."

"I guess that's good to hear." The guy says to them.

"Yeah, it's a good thing we got powers, we're worth nothing." Kon says. "We have no actual skills besides kicking butts, we're out of a job if world peace comes along."

"Speak for yourself." Kal says to him. "Do we have more questions?" he asks. "Ok, we still got time."

"I have a question it's a little weird."

"We like weird." Kon says to her.

"No we don't." Kal says shaking his head.

"Ok, let me check here." Kon says as he looks it up on his phone. "I have a game." He says as he looks up to the crowd. "You guys guess and I'll tell you who's right. Just start yelling out and I'll tell you."

"Aries!" most of the crowd yells out.

"Sagittarius!"

"Ok is that it? I heard Aries a lot and Sagittarius, Virgo and I think I heard Leo somewhere."

"I heard Taurus." Kal says looking around at the convention center room with thousands of people.

"Is that it? I'm I missing one?"

"Yeah I think that's it."

"Ok, according to I am…Aries! Wow you guys guessed right!"

"Wait did he tell you his birthday?"

"Kon's birthday? It's on March 21st."

"Wow, you guys are real." The guy says, the audience laughs.

"Hologram." Kon adds.

The audience laughs again.

"Um so I have question, for the both of you."

"Go for it."

"What is the weirdest thing you've seen about yourself in the internet?"

"Ok, I don't go in the internet see things about myself, sorry." Kal says honestly. "But I will say this, I don't agree with immigration laws."

Kon chuckles quietly. "I have one."

"Oh course you do."

"It's weird!" Kon yells at them. "You'll laugh." He adds.

"Go for it."

"Ok so me and Robin-" Kon starts, the audience cheers. "Right?" he asks them with a smile. "Love him." the audience cheers louder. "We were fighting crime in Gotham and I took a picture."

"Selfie." Kal corrects him.

"I'm not calling it that." Kon snaps at him. "I posted it and the next day I went to look at it and all of sudden, we're a couple."

"I did not know that you and Robin where together."

"Well not anymore, I told him we should take a break."

Kal laughs, so does the audience, Kon chuckles.

"Batman will not be thrilled." Kal says shaking his head.

"I know right. You guys don't know Robin but we would not make a good couple at all."

"He's too…um."

"Timid?"

"I was gonna say shy."

"Shy? I guess."

"Batman wouldn't like it."

"There where pictures of us doing stuff very detailed stuff and just so you know." Kon says to them. "Just to be clear, I would be on top." He points to himself. They cheer, Kon nods. "That was weird not because it was gay but because he was on top, there are plenty of guys who would be on top, Robin is not one of them."

"I think you just outed yourself on tv." Kal tells him.

"It's true!" Kon yells at him. "I don't think I'd be comfortable with a small guy like Robin to be on top, maybe in a couple of years when he's got some muscle in him. And like I said before, I like to be rough, I can't be rough with him."

"You hurt him Batman hunts you down." Kal says.

"Exactly."

"Oh ok, we only have 10 more minutes." Kal says nodding to Catherin who was behind the stage.

"There is a lot of speculation of what your powers are, can you list them? Also Kon I just want to ask are you really gay or just messing around with us?"

"Hold on, did you say your powers or our powers?" Kon asks him.

"The both of you."

"Ok, x-ray vision, heat vision, super hearing, super speed, flight um…"

"Invulnerability, Artic breath, we both have a photographic/eidetic memory."

"Healing."

"I can't think of anymore." Kal says as he turns to Kon.

"Me neither."

"What about telekinesis?!" someone shouts.

"That's my power, not Kal's." Kon tells them. "I've tried teaching him, but I don't think his body is ready for that. Oh I know a lot of languages, I think I know most of the languages in this world, communication is power."

"To bad you don't use it as much."

"Yeah, cause the first thing you do when you see a bad guy is talk to them."

"I at least try."

"Hey, I try, it's not my fault they want to beat me up."

"You're amazing personality?" Kal asks him.

"People like me, I'm a fucking nice guy." Kon snaps at him.

"You have telekinesis?" someone asks.

"Yeah." Kon says and turns to Kal. "Didn't I just say that?" Kal nods. "You need to pay attention man, you paid 500 bucks dude it's the least you can do."

"Yes I did!" Kon yells at them.

"NO!" the audience yells at him.

"oh." Kon whispers, he turns to Kal and makes a face. "Guess what guys, I have telekinesis!" he tells them as if he just found out.

Kal laughs. "It's funny because he forgot to tell you."

"I have a lot of powers, it's hard to keep track."

"So you weren't hiding it?"

"No…why would I be hiding it?"

"You never use it in public."

"Yes I have, the other day with the robot junk, I used it like five times."

"And with Atomic skull, at the carnival." Kal adds.

"What other powers do you, have that Superman doesn't?"

"I can see radio frequencies." Kon says honestly. "Can you do that?" he asks Kal.

"Yes, the lines with different colors in the air."

"Yeah! You could have told me, I was like what the hell are these things." As he waves his hand in front of him trying to catch things.

"It took me a while to figure it out too." Kal says to them. "It's so shiny, where does it lead?" he wonders. "Power lines, radio stations, microwaves."

Kon giggles. "Um I can also…what else can I do?"

"Teleport, I can't do that."

"Because you don't have telekinesis, and since we're talking, it's not actually telekinesis it's tactical telekinesis. It just means that I can't just wave my hand I have to touch it then wave my hand."

"Which is probably why you haven't seen him do it much, it takes time."

"Yeah and I prefer to punch than to throw things at bad guys it's much more satisfying and as for teleporting I prefer to fly than concentrate and have to think about where I'm going, it takes a lot of energy too, makes me hungry."

"We only have like 5 minutes left so let's get to another question." Kal says.

"I'm sorry what?" Kon says trying to listen to someone in the front row. "Wait there was two questions?" he asks honestly confused.

"Are you gay?" he asks again.

"Oh yeah the other question." Kal says remembering.

"He's only stable relationship has been with a guy." Kal tells the audience. "It almost lasted a year."

"Fine, he was a guy, I feel in love with him, he didn't want to leave, I told him to leave and live up to his dream and we were on different paths, I wanted to do everything he wanted to be a nice normal family and I am SO do not have the patience for that. And btw Kal's only stable relationship has been with Batman. Next question."

"Low blow kid. But he did love him, he got drunk and cried for days."

"Shut up! Two days! It was just two days!" Kon yells at him picking up two fingers.

"Oh Kon." Kal goes to hug him, Kon quickly pushes him away.

"Shut up, I'm mad at everyone!" Kon yells at them. "What's the next question."

"I have a more of a philosophical question." She says to them.

"I'll answer this one." Kal says to Kon as he pats his knee.

"What's does it take to be a superhero? What does it mean to be a superhero? Why is it that normal people like us can't seem to be superheroes?"

"Ok, answer it hotshot." Kal says to Kon.

"Normal people can be superhero's, I've see it and I've read it in the newspapers. Soldiers they don't have super powers, they're not meta humans yet they risk their life's for everyone. Fire fighters aren't invulnerable to fire, cops don't have built proof skin. All of those aliens and all those bad guys that come in here saying what a horrible place this is, what an abominations earthlings are, they don't know crap, they don't know how much you try to be super heroes every day and a lot of you try, and I think that's awesome."

"That's a good answer."

"Yeah!" Kon scoffs at him. "I'm smart."

"And what does it mean to be a superhero?" Kal asks them as he starts. "It means putting other people before you, it means being selfless to a fault, it means sacrificing everything for saving people, helping people every moment of every day. Never having to stop or having a chance to look at your life because you have to keep going, it's not something you can stop doing and if you do then you were never a superhero to begin with."

"And what was the other question?"

"What's does it take to be a superhero?" Kal tells him.

"Right, that would be depending on how you got in this life, whether you got in voluntarily or something happened in your life that made you feel helpless and you wanted to not feel that way again or something that pushed or…something that I haven't thought of yet."

"I agree, it's different for every superhero I've meet. It doesn't just happen, there's a path that leads you to it. It's not just a snap of your fingers, boom you're a Superhero, there is something that happens that leads you to it."

"Or like me and Kal it's a calling. You don't have the powers that we have to sit in a desk and become an accountant you do something with them, it's a responsibility we have."

"Exactly so what does it take to be a superhero? Determination, strength of character, principles, there is no mistakes you can make. If you make mistakes people die, that is a burden all heroes have to share."

"A strong will, you can't let the Gordon Godfrey of the world bring you down."

"This kid has a very strong will."

"I do?" Kon asks him.

"You do, you could have the one of the greatest villains ever if you wanted to."

"I would kick your ass." Kon says smugly.

"Teenagers." Kal scoffs.

"I'm 21!" Kon yells at him.

"Oh yeah I forgot." Kal says and laughs. "Actually! While you're in the Phantom zone, time literally stops so…"

"I'm 17?"

"Yup."

"This sucks, I've been illegally drinking for months now."

"Also, what Kal said before about sacrificing your life, it is 100 percent true. You can't do what we do, save people from villains, bad guys, and expect to go home to your wife and kids, cops do it all the time, but they have laws that protect them and guns, not to sound cruel but they can kill. We can't, its rule number 1. If we started killing, the world would go against us and we wouldn't be superheroes anymore but dictators, and I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to become the next Hitler."

"The next Hitler?" Kal asks him.

"That made us all crazy and then we had to take down the troll? Vaguely." He shrugs with a smirk.

"He was there, he tracked me down after you…"

"So, Roy got married, you became a teacher, Dick became a leader, Kaldur turned evil, Wally quit and Artemis died. Anything else I missed?"

"I got a new costume." She says with a smile.

Zatanna sighs. "I hate that power." She says rolling her eyes.

"He's not talking to me Roy, I'm worried." Zatanna says to him.

"Don't be." Roy shrugs.

"We both know what happens when he doesn't talk about his problems."

"He explodes."

"Just try to get him to talk to you." Zatanna says to him, Roy sighs. "Please." She adds.

"I'll try, but if he doesn't want to talk about it."

"And we got a heist." Red arrow says as he looks down at the building he was staking out.

"I told you, my ghost knows his stuff."

"Tell him thanks for me." Red arrow says as he uses an arrow rope to drop down.

Kon sits up from his bed and sighs as he turns over to Wolf who was slightly snoring, he couldn't sleep, he used to be able to just lay in bed and go to sleep but now it was like he couldn't go to sleep and he was tired so it wasn't his powers coming back. It was the nightmares. He gets out of his bed and goes to the living room to watch tv.

"Hey." Rose says drinking a glass of water.

"Hey."

"What are you doing?"

"Can't sleep."

"Bed to soft?" Rose asks him.

"What?"

"Bed too soft to sleep in after sleeping in on ground and using rocks for pillows."

"Oh yeah, I never thought of it that way."

"I know a way for you to sleep."

"Oh yeah? What? At this point I'll try anything."

Rose walks up to him and puts her arms around his neck then smiles at him. "Know what I mean?"

"I'd love to, trust me, it's been a really, really, long time." Kon says to her, Rose goes to kiss him, he pulls away from her. "But I don't trust you."

"What?" Rose says surprised.

"I've tried, I really have, but my instincts have never been wrong, sorry." Kon says to her, she looks at him walking away.

He leaves and goes to sit on the rocks by the beach, and enjoys the view.

"Robin, hey." Kon says as he walks up to him. "I have a mission to get to. And I know that you're really busy with surveillance and st-staring at Cassie, Wonder girl."

"What?"

"I've tried to ignore it, the staring. But ever since the party, with the pool and the swim suit and the stolen looks well, I noticed it, and I can't unnoticed it." Kon says to him. "It's just, I like you and you're my teammate-my friend. I like my friends."

"Oh, no, no. Cassie and I-" Robin stammers.

"Ooh, don't, cause then you're just lying, and that's no good." Kon says to him, Robin shakes his head a little. "My point is, you're staring and you're sad. And I think that you need friends that aren't Cassie. And that's where I come in, with the fixing. You're going to be friends with me."

"I am?"

"Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm an awesome friend. So tonight you'll come out with Roy and me-Dude night. Maybe Dick will come, too." Kon says with a smile, Robin looks at him, Kon looks at him waiting for a responds. "Say yes to Dude night."

"Yes, to Dude night."

"Yay!"

"Oh, yay." Robin says with a forced smile awkwardly.

"Problem solved." Kon says to him. "Now for my mission. Elliot Meyer. He needs a protection detail."

"Oh, hey, I'm down with a protection detail." Mal says wearing his guardian uniform.

"Oh, no because you watched Die Hard with my best friend and I find that at when I look at you, I want to hit you with a rock."

"Dude, that was, like, weeks ago."

"Maybe, but jealousy's a green-eyed monster, and if you ask anyone, they'll tell you, there's no reasoning with a monster." Kon says to him, Mal looks at him. "Dude, run away before I get a rock." He tells him, Mal scoffs and walks off. "As my new friend, don't judge me for that." He tells him and walks off.

Robin chuckles follows him out.

"Kon could you just keep a low profile just for a little while." Superman says to Kon after his protection detail.

"But I saved him." Kon tells him.

"Kon, please, please." Superman practically begs.

"I didn't do anything wrong."

"I know, we know but still could you just not get into more fights this week?" Superman says to him. "Please." He adds.

"Yeah ok."

"Promise." Batman tells him.

"I promise." Kon says to them.

"You." Batman points to Robin, Robin looks at him. "You should have known better."

"But I told him not to do it."

"Ok Robin if we're going to be friends, you can't throw me under the bus like that."

"Sorry." Robin says.

"You two are friends now."

"Trying to be." Kon says to him. "You've completely brainwashed him."

"I am not brainwashed."

"Sure, keep telling yourself that." Kon tells him as he pats his shoulder and walks away.

"Hello beautiful, I know you're mad but we're going to take it really gentle. Nice and slow for old times' sake." Kon says as he puts his hand on his red and black bike running his hand down creasing it. "I've been away for a long while but I'm back now. You and me we're going for a spin." He says as he gets on it. "We're just going to go out test the waters." He says as he turns it on. "Atta girl."

…Metropolis

Kon gives the pretzels bender three dollars and 50 cents. "Thanks." Kon says as he grabs his lemonade and big pretzel.

"You look familiar." He says to him.

"Has anyone ever told you that you look like Superboy?" the other customer says to him.

"Yeah all the time." Kon says as he walks off with his pretzels. "Mmm, I did miss you." He says as he chews and walks over to his bike which was parked by the sidewalk. He sits down and eats in peace as people pass him by.

"Hey are you-?" a guy says as Kon sits, Kon looks up at him. "You are, Superboy right?"

"Um look pal I'm just trying to eat."

"Hey everyone it's Superboy!"

"No no no no no." Kon says quickly as he stands up with his half eaten pretzel and drink. "Come on man."

"Superboy? No way he's too short."

"Hey watch it!" Kon yells at him.

"That is him." Another guy says.

"Dude, why aren't you flying?"

"Because I'm eating." Kon answers him.

"So?" a girl asks him.

"You can't eat and fly, that's dangerous." Kon tells her. "There are things up there, birds and planes and bugs, you can't just be flying around eating."

They all turn around as a pile of junk starts tearing up the place, as people run away.

"Aren't you gonna go help?"

"I promised Superman and Batman that I wouldn't get into any more fights."

"Are you kidding? He's destroying-"

Kon drops his drink and pretzel as he puts up a bubble around the group of people as the pile of junk robot tried to punch him down, he pulls away.

"RUN!" Kon yells at them, they run off. "Alright look, I don't wanna fight with you so just wait a minute and I'm sure Superman will be here to entertain you."

"No, I am on a mission and you will not stop me!"

"Happy to oblige! Just put down the cars very gently, please and release the people who are inside them."

"Ah, but they are my mission my collective craves substance and I will have it!"

The robot looks at Kon's bike and grabs it with a claw, Kon rolls out of the way thinking it was trying to get him. "HEY!" Kon yells out getting his attention. "Get your fucking claw off my bike!" he yells at him angry. Kon sees the robot absorb the bike Kon looks at him shocked. "Alright." He says cracking his knuckles. "Time to get a little rebellious." Kon jumps up pulls back his fist as it glows blue then releases the blue TTk power.

The pieces of the robot fall apart. "Kon!" Superman yells out as soon as he appears.

"Hold on, that was way too easy." Kon tells him.

"What is this thing?" Superman asks looking at the broken junkyard in the middle of the city.

"I don't know, I've never seen anything like it."

"Let's get out of here."

"Those pieces…" Kon says as he picks them up with his TTk power examining them. "It's almost like they're reaching for each other."

"Are you suggesting the creature's reassembling itse-" Superman starts as the robot parts start coming together.

"Oh fuck."

The robot reassembles himself. "I am Detritus. Not how or why I came. After months of experiments in a quiet villa now understand you, sacks of meat, clearly are inferior and should give up the burden of free will." He tells them as he knocks Superman down. "But there are too many minds in this city, each fighting to be heard! They burn my consciousness with their unceasing chatter and I cannot absorb them into my collective." He rambles.

"Is it my imagination or is he even bigger?!" Superboy yells out as he ducks down.

"I think he sucked in a few cars while he was down."

Detritus steps on Superman as he grabs Kon tight. "You are different from other meat sacks. Not only do you fly without apparent aid, you possess enough physical strength to damage me. I will need power like that to take this city."

"Kon!" Superman yells as he tries to push the robot junk foot off him.

"I will give you a great honor assimilating in my group." Detritus says as he puts Kon on his mouth swallowing him whole.

"NO!" Superman yells worried.

"Trying to swallow me, not the best option." Kon says as he explodes into a blue blast of TTk.

"wow." Superman whispers impressed as the robot falls apart again into tiny pieces, little bit dirt pieces as they fall from the mid air.

A man/human machine on his knees. "Y-you have banished my collective-reduced me to my basic core!" he yells at Superboy.

"You tried to eat me dude, I think we're even." Kon says crossing his arms looking at him.

"Stripping me away of my additions and defenses! My sole desire was to survive in a world meant for others. You cannot imagine the unbearable loneliness of being the only one of your kind."

"Do you not know who we are? The last son of krypton, ring any bells?"

"I sense a kinship, meat sack." Detritus says to him.

"Helpful hint, that's not the most reassuring expression. Why don't you just call me Superboy?"

"As you wish. We share a common bond, Superboy." Detritus says to him. "We are so much more than humanity."

"Still not reassuring us." Superman says he stands up.

"It's ok dude." Kon says as he puts his hand out to help him up.

"Together we could accomplish much." Detritus says as he puts his hand out. "Thus you must join me collective." He grabs his hand tight. "OR DIE!"

Kon uses another blast of TTk flying him off into the sky then falls on the ocean. "I am getting awfully tired of people threatening me."

"Not to criticize, but was shattering him in a million pieces the best idea?" Superman asks him. "We don't know anything about that guy won't he just reassemble himself?"

"I…hadn't thought of that." Kon admits. "Should we go get him? Although when you do think about it, robots and water don't really mix well."

"And that was a pretty substantial punch even if he does pull himself together, there's no guarantee he'll resurface anywhere near here. I know I wouldn't want to fight you again."

Kon turns and smiles at him, Superman did not look happy. "What?"

"You broke your promise."

"I just saved the city!"

"You broke your promise."

"Hey Superboy, how did you do that, you where glowing blue. Is that your power that you were hiding from us?" Cat Grant asks him with a microphone on her hand and a camera behind her.

"I wasn't hiding anything!" Kon yells at her. "I was just-I didn't-I wouldn't…Not now." he tells her, he turns to Superman. "I was just trying to help, since you weren't here I just figured you wouldn't want Metropolis to get sucked into that robot things body."

"How do you expect us to trust you if you-"

"Trust is a two way street."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means all of those secrets that you and Batman have been keeping from me since I got back."

"Kon-"

"I know you're not telling me something, so just spited it out and tell me."

"We're not keeping anything."

"Well now you're just lying your ass off!"

"Kon."

"Whatever Kal."

"Kon please."

Kon takes off flying angry.

"Why Lex Luthor he's going to lie to us anyways?" Robin asks.

"Not with this." Nightwing says as he pats a machine.

"A lie detector? Seriously?"

"Roy and I built it ourselves, it's the next next type of technology." Nightwing tells him, Batgirl clears her throat. "And Batgirl helped a little."

"Hey."

"Kon?! What are you doing here?" Nightwing asks a bit of a panic.

"I live here."

"Right, yeah I know I just, weren't you hanging out with your bike today?"

"Yeah it got eaten by a robot." Kon tells him. "Do you guys have any spare parts? I wanna start rebuilding it, I wanna have it ready just in case."

"Yeah I think I have an old one in the garage, you can go check it out."

"Hey Kon maybe you can help us."

"No." Nightwing says quickly.

"What's it about?" Kon asks ignoring Nightwing.

"Information gathering." Batgirl says to him.

"We're going straight to the source so that-" Robin starts and is interrupted.

"You don't like information gathering." Nightwing says to Kon with a smirk.

"Well, no, who does? But if you guys need me I'm here."

"We could use your super hearing, making sure that-" Robin starts and turns to look at Nightwing.

"Not important." Nightwing interrupts him again.

"Ok, what the hell is wrong with you? Why don't you want me in this mission?"

"I don't know what you talking about?"

"Kon please just leave it alone."

"No way, now you got me all curious, you should learn to lie better, or teach them to lie better."

"I didn't realize we were." Batgirl says confused.

"Who's the target?" Kon asks with a smile.

"Lex Luthor." Robin says.

Kon's faces goes dead serious and turns to Nightwing angry.

"See this is why I didn't want to tell you."

"Are you fucking insane!" Kon yells at him.

"I see you share Superman's hatred for him." Robin says pointing out the obvious.

"No, I love the guy who's killed me 4 times."

"Three." Roy says.

"I thought it was five." Megan says to them.

"Wait hold on, there was the green kryptonite thing, then the red kryptonite thing, the blue kryptonite knife thing-" Roy starts naming them.

"No that one was me." Nightwing says to him.

"SHUT UP!" Kon yells at them.

"Well I'm sorry it's hard to keep track." Roy says to him.

"Stay calm." Nightwing says to him.

"I will not keep calm! And you can go fuck yourself!" Kon yells at them as the cave shakes.

"Did he do that?" Batgirl asks.

"Ok, I'm getting scared." Robin whispers to Batgirl.

"Why?" Kon ask Nightwing, he says nothing, Kon turns to Robin. "Why?"

"We-" Robin starts then Nightwing looks at him.

"He has information that we need about a new weapon." Robin says to him.

"Can't we just steal it?"

"We could but he's the UN Secretary-General and-"

"Tseng's resignation his position about a year ago and Luthor was elected."

"WHAT!?" Kon yells again as the cave shakes a couple of rubble fall down.

"I'm guessing Superman and Batman didn't tell you." Robin says.

"Kon we need to talk." Superman says as he walks in with Batman behind him as back up.

Kon turns to them, Nightwing shakes his head at them as they walk in through the zeta beam.

"What's wrong?"

"Lex Luthor is the UN Secretary-General."

"oh." Batman whispers.

"Kon we didn't want to upset you." Superman says quickly.

"You had just gotten back and we were worried about you." Batman tells him.

"So you lied to me." Kon says to them.

"We didn't lie." Batman says to him.

"We just didn't tell you."

"Yeah that's a lie, you've been lying to me for months. I have never done that to you."

"You don't understand. It's complicated." Batman says to him.

"No, actually, it's not, and you know that. Why else would you keep this whole thing a secret, huh? Unless you knew that it was wrong? When crap like this comes around, we deal with it. Like we always have. What we don't do is we don't go out and make a deal with the Devil!"

"We just didn't think you were ready for-"

"Yeah you've been saying that a lot." Kon says calmly. "I'm beginning to wonder if you actually mean it or you just used to lying to me all the time." He teleports out.

"What exactly is the question?" Lex Luthor asks.

"Have you heard of this weapon?" Batman asks pointing to the blueprints in the holo-computer.

"Yes I have." Luthor says simply.

"Do you know who-"

"Superboy?" Lex Luthor says surprised to see Kon teleport in.

"Kon, what are you doing here?" Nightwing asks him.

"What? And miss this?" Kon asks him.

"I'm glad you're alive, Superboy."

"No thanks to you."

"Me?" Luthor asks looking at him, confused. "What are you-?"

"I had a lot, a lot of time to think in the phantom zone, wondering who exactly set Zod free from his prison, your name didn't actual appear in my head until Zod was torturing him for information, slicing me open like an apple."

"I have no-"

"Don't do that, don't you dare lie to him, I've been lied enough for one day. I wondered who was smart enough and yet dumb enough to break out a mass murdering psychopath-boom your name came up."

"You're delusional."

"Quit messing with me, or I will throw you into the sun."

"Are threatening me?"

"Did I stutter?"

"I will-"

"What? Kill me? Put me in prison? You've done all of those things and I'm still standing." Kon tells him, Luthor looks at him. "You should change your profession, cause you suck at this one."

'Daaammnn.' Blue beetle says in the mindlink, forgetting it was there.

"Kon, why are you here?" Nightwing asks him.

"You said you need my help, I'm here."

"Alright, the weapon-" Batman starts.

"Is in a secure location in Bialya." Luthor finishes his sentence.

"He's telling the truth."

"Are you a mind reader as well?"

"Yes." Kon tells him, Luthor looks at him astonished. "Looks like Superman and Batman aren't the only ones I can still surprise."

"I don't know the exact locat-"

"We'll take it from here." Kon interrupts him.

"Excuse me."

"Don't worry about it."

"You honestly believe you can find this before they detonate it?"

"Yes. It's kind of my job which I am extraordinary at."

"You arrogant boy."

"That's arrogant Superboy to you." Kon tells him.

'I love him.' Wonder girl says in her mind, and realizes something. 'The link is-'

'Yes.' They all tell her.

"I'll get you your precious bomb and when I do, you'll hand it over to us."

"What's the matter? You scared of losing to a boy?"

"Fine, 48 hours."

"You're confidence in me is whelming." Superboy says to him. "Nightwing, Megan and Red, let's go."

"Superboy well look at that, 50 hours." Luthor says looking at his watch.

"Just. Take. It." Superboy growls putting up his hand with a flashdrive.

"Don't mind if I do." Luthor says with a smile as he takes it from Superboy's palm. "We make a good team."

"Whatever, I gotta go shower for hours, wash the stink of you."

"I believe we are going to make a difference now that you know you're working for me."

"The only difference from then to now is that now I need a daily rape shower."

"If you think about it, I've help create you." Luthor starts, Kon stops walking. "I've made you invulnerable to green kryptonite and resistant of red kryptonite."

Kon turns to him walking to him looking at him. "Who I am. Who I have become is not because you tortured me and experimented on me, who I am is in spite of what you've done to me."

Luthor smiles. "You have to admit if I would have raised you-"

"If you would have raised me, I would've ripped out your heart and fed it to you." Kon tells him, Megan's and Nightwing's eyes widen at that image in their brains. "So really you should be thankful to them that they raised me right. Because if they hadn't stepped up I would have become the Luthor you wanted me to and I would have killed every single person who got in my way and the only thing the name Lex Luthor would be known for is his failure to control a boy."

Luthor looks at him, trying not to look upset. "You really know how to push buttons don't you?"

"It's a gift." Kon says to him. "Now you can leave by choice or-"

"I'm going."

"Don't let the zeta beam cut you half." Kon tells him, Luthor stops and turns to look at him. "I mean try not to choke on your own lies." He says as he crosses his arms watching Luthor disappear.

"I hate that guy." Roy says.

"Did you really hand over the plans?" Dick asks.

"Yes." Kon says irritated.

"Wow, I can't believe he beat us." Megan says.

"You're an idiot for making that bet." Roy blurts out to him.

"Yeah, but on the bright side." Kon starts they all turned to look at him. "I can still surprise you guys as well." He says and walks off.

"What?" Megan asks.

"What does that mean?" Dick asks him. "What does he mean?" he asks Roy and Megan.

"Kon what did you do?" Roy asks him a little worried.

"That's for me to know and for you too, dot, dot, dot." Kon says dramatically as he walks off with a smile.

…LexCorp

"That-! That-! That-!" Luthor yells. "AHH!" he tosses all of his things from his desk on the floor panting.

"Mr. Luthor?"

"How did he do that? I ran ever test on it before I opened it, how did he infect my company with a virus?!" he yells angry, he turns to Mercy, who was shocked to see his boss without his composure. "HOW!?" he yells at her.

"I-I don't know." She stammers.

"I want him dead, dead in the street bleeding, begging for his life."

"Sir."

"What's the damage!?" he yells at her. She types on the tablet on her arms and stops and looks at him. "Dead! I want him dead!"

"Chips: 3 dollars, slushy:2 dollars, Seeing the look on Luthor's face when he figures out his company has a virus that will set him back around 5 months? Priceless." Kon says with a smile as sits on the edge of the building eating chips and a slushy watching from the building next to LexCorp .

…Shadowcrest

"Dnif mih, dnif nam, dnif, Enitnatsnoc." Zatanna chants Find him, find the man, find Constantine.

"Zatanna?" Kon teleports in her house in the middle of her spell.

"AH!" Zatanna yells out surprised as all the purple glowing magic disperse knocking Kon back.

"OW!" he yells out in pain.

"Kon!?"

"Z, we've talked about this, you can't use your magic on me until I become invulnerable to it." he says standing up rubbing his head.

"What are you doing here!?" she yells at him.

"I haven't seen you in a week, I got worried."

Zatanna sighs. "It's been a week?" she asks.

"Yeah, are you ok?" he asks sitting down with her.

She starts to cry. "No."

Kon hugs her as she cries on his shoulder. "Tell me what happened." He says to her.

"And that's all of it."

"I'll kill him." Kon says to her very intensely.

"Kon."

"No! Nobody uses my friends and gets away with it."

"Kon, he's just as powerful as me."

"It'll be fine, I can handle myself."

"Kon, I can't even find him, he shielded himself from me."

"Zatanna you're my best friend, I'm not going to let him get away with it!" Kon yells angry as he paces.

"It's fine." Zatanna says sitting on a couch watching him pace back and forth.

"No it's not!" Kon says and walks off teleporting away.

She sighs, she should stop him but somehow she believed him, he could beat the crap out of her so called boyfriend.

John Constantine is a dead man.

"KON! I thought you were dead." Blue devil yells out as he sees Kon walking up to the bar.

"Only in the mornings." Kon answers him. "Have you seen Constantine?"

"John? No, not for a while actually." Blue devil answers as he puts a drink in front of Kon. "How do you know John?"

"I have a message for him."

"I'll tell him, you're looking for him." he says as he puts another shot of tequila in front of him.

"Thanks."

Kon and Blue devil click their shots of tequila and chug it down and slam it down, he gives him a nod and so does Blue devil and Kon walks off.

"I'll tell Amethyst, you said hi."

He smiles at him and ways off through a wall into the outside world of Chicago.

"I hear you're looking for me."

"Yeah, John Constantine?"

"That's me." he says, blonde hair, British accent, trench coat, jeans and a brown tshirt. "Don't tell me, I slept with your girl."

"Something like that."

Constantine looks at him. "You don't have an ounce of magic in you." He realizes. "Who are you?"

"Zatanna's friend."

"Bollocks." He says.

"You made her cry."

"Look she knew what she was getting into when she meet me, I told her."

"You used her, for some magic tricks."

"A lot of magic tricks." He says as a white circle surrounds Kon.

Kon teleports out and stand behind him. "My best friend is a magician you're going to have to do better than that." he tells him, Kon teleports back out.

"I'm right here." Kon astral projects behind him.

Constantine throws a fireball at him, Kon screams as he burns and disappears, Constantine smirks in victory.

"Hey, asshole, I'm over here now."

Constantine throws another fireball at astral Kon burning as he screams out in pain and disappears into the fire. Kon astral projects back into his body, it should have hurt him, but Kon was used to pain. Kon runs out of the alley and tackles Constantine to the ground, punches him down the back of his head hitting the concrete.

"If you ever come near her again." Kon tells him pulling him close by his shirt, Constantine groggily as he tries to stay awake. "I won't hesitate to kill you myself." He tells him and sees a necklace with a black rock. "I'll take that." he tells him as he takes it away from him, Kon stands up.

"Who are…you?" he mumbles.

"Someone you shouldn't have messed with." He tells him and stomps on his face, breaking his nose knocking him out, he smirks.

…Shadowcrest

Zatanna is in her jacuzzi, hot water listening to jazz music she waves her hand.

"Etalocohc seirrebwarts." She says and a plate of chocolate strawberries appears floating beside her, she smiles as she pulls her hand out of the bubbling hot water and starts eating. "mmm." She moans as she closes her eyes relaxing, she opens her eyes when she feels another person with her.

Kon was in the water with her, he smiles at her, he takes a chocolate covered strawberry and takes a bite out of it. "It's been taken care of." He simply says to her.

"Do I need a shovel?"

"Nah, I got it covered." He says to her.

Zatanna smiles. "I love you."

"I love you too."

…Some tiny island in the Caribbean.

John Constantine wakes up with a killer headache, a broken nose and…naked. He looks at himself he was going to say something put couldn't, he looks around.

"Ravager provided a safe house of the Light."

"Seriously?" Superboy says.

"You're welcome."

Superboy turns to look at her. "That's amazing, awesome job."

"What do we do?"

"Bugs." Nightwing says pulling out a device and gives it to Robin. "Plant them anywhere you can, we'll be able to see what they're up to before they do it."

"Got it."

"Superboy, team leader."

"Wonder girl, Robin and Ravager." Superboy says picks them.

Ravager looks at him. "Me?"

"You should get a piece of the action."

…Monument Valley

"These are the coordinates?"

"Yes."

"It's just rock."

"A lot of rock."

"Are you sure, let me see them?" Superboy says walking towards Robin, he pushes him down, Robin lands on his shoulder, he yelps out in pain and Superboy looks up at Tigress and Kaldur. "Kaldur?"

"Hello Kon-El."

"What are you doing here?"

"Taking you back to where you belong." Kaldur says and snaps his finger.

Tuppence and Tommy Terror, Mammoth and Devastation plus Icicle Jr appear.

"We can take them." Wonder girl says putting her fist up ready for a fight.

"Let them go and I'll go with you." Superboy says taking a step forward.

"What?" Ravager says surprised.

"Are you crazy?" Wonder girl tells him.

"Kon, no." Robin says to him.

"Kaldur let them go, we all know who will win but at cost will be up to you."

"Agreed."

"Go." Superboy tells them.

"But-"

"I'm the leader now do as I say." Superboy tells him.

"We'll bring back up." Robin says to him.

Wonder girl looks at him then runs, Robin runs off, and Ravager looks at them, Kaldur looks at her and she runs away. They wait until they are far away from danger, Kaldur walks towards Superboy as he puts an inhibitor collar on him, while Tigress puts cuffs his wrists and ankles.

"Don't even try to use your powers." Kaldur says to him. "I know you, remember that."

Superboy looks at him then head butts him. "That was for betraying us."

Tommy hits him on the head, knocking him out.

"Stop!" Tigress yells at him. "The Light wants him alive."

"What for? Let's just freeze him and Tommy can shatter him."

"If you want to deal with the Light? Then go for it." Tigress says to them, they don't do anything. "That's what I thought." She says as she turns to Kaldur. "Are you alright?" she asks him.

"Fine, let's go."

Tommy picks up Superboy over his shoulder follows his teammates out to a ship.

…Unknown cave

A cave with Superboy chained and suspended in the middle of the cave on all four limbs and on his neck. They had learned from the previous times, every possible way for Kon to escape would be impossible. They had taken off his boots which had the gps in them, plus his shirt since they had all gps senor on them, and his belt. Kaldur, Tigress and Icicle Jr, Superboy regains consciousness and gasps.

"Kaldur! Why are you doing this!?" Superboy yells out at him.

"The Light no longer has any use for you."

"You're my brother-"

"No, I am not." Kaldur tells him quickly. "You are nobody. I killed Artemis because you people mean nothing to my anymore."

"Kaldur I'm sorry about Tula but this won't bring her back, it's not too late."

Kaldur looks at him, he killed Artemis how could it not be too late. "I am simply following orders." He pushes himself to say.

Deathstroke walks in. "They've figured out where we are, finishes this quickly."

"That didn't take long." Icicle Jr says.

"Tigress." Kaldur starts.

"Wait!" Superboy yells out, Tigress blows out a dart at him, he yells out, she blows out another, then another one. Superboy tries to break free of his chains. "When I get out of here! You're all done for!"

"You won't get out, unless you can break free of blue kryptonite." Kaldur says calmly, referring to the metal with blue specks collar on his neck.

"The poison will make your body naturally react, shutting down all of your nerves, cutting off your senses, as it enters your brain, it will shut down your heart as well." Tigress tells him. "It will be painless, like going to sleep." She tells him, it was actually a toxin that will emulate death.

…outside

"Which one?" Nightwing asks as he looks at all of the mountains in the desert.

"That one." Superman points.

"How can you be-" Red arrow starts.

"It's the only one I can't see through."

"We should call more leaguers."

"No, we can handle this." Batman says. "You go in first, try to get him out, if you run into any trouble call us."

Kon screams in agony and his old gone scars come back cutting open he start to bleed from his writs, arms, feet, chest and back.

"What's going on?" Kaldur asks Tigress.

"I don't know." Tigress says to him. "It looks like he's fighting it."

"Give it time. He can't resist for long." Deathstroke says with a smile.

The Team-Nightwing, Miss Martian, Wolf and Red Arrow enter the cave, while the Trinity stays in the bioship, waiting.

"Do you think Kon…" Superman starts.

"I hope not." Batman says to him, knowing what he was going to say.

"If he does…" Wonder woman looks at them worried.

"We'll take care of him." Batman answers her.

…in the cave

Kon continues struggling as his old scars start to cut open again bleeding and he begins to hallucinate.

"You said it yourself, Kon." Superman says as, Kaldur's face cracks up and falls off, revealing Superman's face on his skin. "The world doesn't need you."

Deathstrokes head turns 360 degrees, changing into that of Batman's. "We're putting you back in your pod where you belong. Give up."

Tigress morphs into Wonder woman. "You're too weak to resist you're inner Luthor."

"You're just a clone." Black Canary appears.

"You're a weapon." Flash says.

"You mean absolutely nothing." Green Lantern says to him.

"We were never afraid of you, we just need to know your weakness." Green arrow says to him.

"You think I was going to let you take my place? A Luthor?" Superman says to him.

"That's what you are a Luthor, pure evil." Batman tells him.

"There is no reason to fight it anymore." Wonder woman says to him.

Superman, Batman, Wonder woman, Flash Green Lantern, Black Canary and every other member of the League starts to chant. "You're a Luthor! You're weak! You will never be Superman. You pathetic clone! We don't need you! You're just a weapon!"

Kon shuts his eyes.

Red arrow drops a sleeping arrow bomb on shadows and they pass out as he, Nightwing and Miss Martian in camouflage mode run pass it holding their breath, they see another shadow, Nightwing puts his arm around him choke holding him as he passes out, he puts him down and runs following his teammates.

Another group of shadows come out of a hallway and Red arrow uses his bow as a weapon hitting them knocking them back, punching them Nightwing jumps in and knocks down one as he tried to get back up and they run again. Wolf runs off smelling the air, he runs off in almost super speed.

'Megan? Where?'

'This way.' She puts her hands on them and they pass through the wall.

…

Kon screams out as he opens his eyes wide, his eyes turning red.

"oh god." Tigress whispers.

"Everyone out now!" Kaldur yells out.

"I'm ending this." Icicle Jr says as he makes shades of ice from his arms and sends them to Kon.

"NO!" Kaldur and Tigress yell out.

Kon takes a breath and destroys the ice by breathing fire. Kon struggles, yells out as he pulls off the chain on his right arm, swinging it toward Kaldur, he jumps back out of the way, but Icicle Jr was caught off-guard and slammed against a wall. Tigress pulls out more darts from her pocket and blows them toward Kon, who swings the chain around his arm before directing the darts with a blue blast back to Tigress, causing her to retreat to avoid them. Kon rips off the chains on his legs and uses his TTk blast himself away before propelling himself with another blue blast to rip off the final chains on his arm and neck. He lands in front of Kaldur and picks up four boulders with his TTk and circle them around him before using his TTk blast to push the boulders away. Kaldur, Deathstroke, Tigress, and Icicle Jr both retreats to avoid the attacks. Kon breathes fire in fury while Nightwing, Megan, Red Arrow and Wolf enter the cave.

"KON!" Nightwing, Red Arrow and Megan yell out to him as the see him.

Kon breathes fires toward Kaldur-which to him was still Superman, Kaldur dodges the attacks and jumps to a hole in the ceiling. Kon yells out as he sees the Justice League around him as they go to attack him, he stomps sending a blue wave of TTk shaking the whole cave as he pulls his arms together then pulls them out breaking the cave. As it falls apart they all run away, Tigress runs out following the Team with Deathstroke and Icicle Jr. They jump out with a roll as the cave collapse with Kaldur and Kon inside.

"KON!" Megan yells out.

"We have to help him." Red Arrow says.

Deathstroke pulls out his sword ready to fight and gets tackled by Kon, they stop, Kon punches him over and over and over, Icicle Jr freezes them.

"What the hell is happening?!" Icicle Jr yells out completely confused.

"Fall back!" Tigress yells as Kon breaks free, she throws smoke bombs then runs away, Icicle Jr follows her leaving Deathstroke behind.

"Nightwing!" Batman yells out as they come running out.

"Wait!" Megan yells at them.

Kon looks at them, they pause when they see his eyes.

"Kon." Superman takes a step forward.

"Stop! He has blue kryptonite on him!" Red arrow yells out seeing the collar on him.

Kon runs and lifts his bleeding arms up as the earth moves towards the League, he picks up a rocks and throws it at them. Wonder woman flies up, Batman grabs Superman out of the way. Kon stands his ground looks up as he starts glowing blue and flies up using his TTk chasing after Wonder woman. Wonder woman flies away getting distance.

Kon sends two boulders to Wonder Woman, she dodges the attacks but is pushed off by Kon. Wonder woman grabs Kon and tosses him away, slamming him against a column, while Superman and Batman and the rest of the Team witnesses the fight. Kon slides down the column and charges toward Wonder woman, who follows suit. Kon leaps across columns to regain his ground and circles a pillar, breaking it in the meantime and sending it to Wonder woman, who barely dodges the attack as she flies up high.

"What's going on?" Wonder girl asks.

"Wonder girl?" Nightwing says over the com. Then turns to see Batman's Batplane being piloted by Batgirl with Wonder girl, Blue Beetle and Robin. "What are you doing here?"

"We told you to stay put!" Batman yells angry.

"We can help." Robin says.

"No you can't!" Batman yells at them.

"Diana!" Wonder girl yells out.

"Cassie don't!" Megan stops her.

"Why are they fighting? What's going on?!"

Superman clicks his com. "Diana, break the collar, I can help."

"I'll try." Wonder woman says back.

"Stay here, do not get involved." Nightwing says to them.

Batman gets on the Batplane while the original Team go to the bioship, Superman stays with the Team feeling helpless.

The new team looks at the fight, with Kon slams two pillars toward Diana, which fall on her, Batman sends out flashes at him blinding him as he loses concentration he falls down, he digs his fingers down a pillar as his fingernails break, his fingertips bleeding, he jumps off it as he flies. Wonder woman pushes the rocks off her, breathing heavy she flies up as Kon chases after her again. Kon send three rocks to her and charges toward her yelling, bleeding and sweating.

Wonder woman dodges bent rocks before flying away. Kon throws more rocks to her and manages to catch up. Wonder woman turns to see him catching up and flies down to get some distance. They fly down Wonder woman quickly turns to fly straight again, Kon not being able to stop himself from falling, he lands hard on the rocks making a crater, he yells angry as she flies toward an arch, before Kon propelling himself up with his TTk power again. He attacks Wonder woman with multiple blue blasts, while Wonder woman sees the batplane then flies up seeing the three missiles her way, they land a hits and throwing Kon back to earth. Kon rolls on the ground, his jeans torn blood on them, bleeding more from his back as his old wounds start to open wide more blood and exposed tissue, muscle, and bone, the chain around his right arm dripping with blood, near the edge of a cliff and grunts from the impact he puts his feet down as he stands up. Wonder woman punches Kon, on his jaw, tossing him off the edge. Kon yells out as he falls down rolling on the ground again leaving a trail blood. He lands grunting in rage, he looks up to see the batplane zooming away and jumps using his TTk power grabbing a humongous boulder along with him.

"Batman!" Nightwing yells out on the com.

Batman quickly press the inject button as Kon slams it against a mountain, the Batplane destroyed, he pulls out his parachute as he lands on a pillar. Wonder woman flies back to Kon grabbing him and breaks the collar Kon teleports behind her, grabs her hair and tosses her down, he sends out a blue blast pushing her back down as she land hard making a crater, Kon free falls down, she rolls out of the way, Kon teleports to her and land on her stomach. Wonder woman screams out, he gets on top of her, punching her left and right.

Wonder girl grabs Kon left arm with her lasso. "Get away from her!"

"Cassie don't!" Wonder woman yells out under Kon bleeding from her lip, cheek and nose.

Kon stands wraps the lasso around his arm bring Wonder girl towards him, grabbing her face then slamming her down, he punches her just like Wonder woman, as he breaks his own knuckles on her face.

"Kon enough!" Megan yells out appearing her eyes glow green as she enters his mind, Kon turns to look at her seeing Martian Manhunter, she looks inside his mind to shut him down instead she finds fire she yells out in pain. Kon throws a blue blast at her she gets knocked out.

Kon walks as he pants bleeding tired. "Kon." Superman says as he lands careful.

Kon turns to not only see Superman, but the other Leaguers around him. "We're putting you back in your pod." Superman says in his head as he hallucinates.

"NO!" Kon yells as he stomps and punches the ground beneath him the ground making dents, he puts his fists down.

"What is he doing?" Batman asks in the com.

"I have no idea."

The ground shakes as rocks fall from the pillars and the ground crakes as Kon screams out pulling up his arms as lava bursts from the earth's core. Kon shoves his hands down and lava drips down in an attempt to drown Superman in it. Superman had his eyes wide open as it came at him like a red tsunami.

"SUPERMAN!" Batman screams his name.

Superman realizes what's happening begins to fly off when it engulfs him.

"Oh my god." Wonder woman says shocked.

"Diana, get out of there!" Batman yells out to her as he stands a safe distance from the lava.

Wonder woman grabs Cassie in pain and flies off, Kon turns as he hallucinates more Leaguers at her side, they charge at him. Kon yells as he picks up the lava and throws it at them, he hits nothing but air. Wonder woman manages to fly to Batman putting Cassie down.

"We have to stop him."

"How do you suggest we do that?" Wonder woman asks him a bit irritated. What did he think she had been trying to do.

"With this." Batman says showing her a needle.

"What is it?"

"Sedative, I made it specifically for Kon."

The bioship lands near the cliff as Red arrow and Nightwing run out. "Batman! Is Cassie-"

"She's fine." Wonder woman says to him. "Take care of her."

"Get M'gann." Batman orders them.

"I got her, but Bruce-Kon-" Red Arrow starts.

"I know." Batman tells him.

Wonder woman takes it from him. "Let's go." She says flying off sluggishly.

…

"Whoa he's actually powerful." Blue beetle asks. "I mean he's smart and thinks on his feet but I thought he was…you know…wow."

"We should help." Batgirl says.

"Sure, got a plan?" Robin asks her.

"No."

"I think I'd be best if we stay here then."

…

Kon charges toward Batman, he quickly pulls out a needle out and injects it in his neck. Kon punches him as he pulls out the needle tossing it aside, Batman pulls out batarangs throw them at him, Kon easily makes them fly off in his direction, Batman jumps out of the way using a line launcher jumping to another pillar. Kon runs then jumps as Batman lands pulling out more batarangs as Kon flew towards him but instead of using his TTk to send them back he grabs his chest in pain as the poison acts up again and caused him to crash onto the mountain. Batman looks down at the edge, then jumps back down to Kon, who shakily tries to get up on his feet.

"Kon, it's alright, I gave you a sedative, you're-" Batman starts.

Kon turns and fire breathes on him, Batman waves his hands and arms at it trying not to get burned and falls off the edge, he quickly uses another line launcher.

Kon was trying to resist the poison and the sedative as he tries to stand up and but falls on his back falling down, Batman was trying to climb up as Kon falls down.

"KON!" Superman yells out. He falls down several rocks before he finally falls down on a pillar. Superman flies to him and lands. "Are you ok?" he asks trying to making him angry. Kon throws a weak blue blast at him, Superman gets throw back a little. "It's ok Kon." He says not really affected by it.

"We never should have let you live." Kon hallucinates.

"NO!" Kon yells out as he stands putting up both his hands throws a stronger blue blast knocking him back to the sky. Kon gets up runs to fly but falls down grabbing his chest on his heart's side, Superman catches him while Kon succumbs to the poison and collapse.

Superman lands down putting Kon down. "Kid. It's me, Kal. Please hang on." Superman says to him.

Kon opens his eyes growling get back up to fight, finally, the sedative took full effect and Kon's body relaxed into a deep sleep, only twitching occasionally, Superman starts to tear up and hugs Kon as he bleeds on him. Superman looks at Kon and hears his heart beat going slower, he stands holding Kon in his arms and flies off to the fortress.

…Fortress of Solitude

"Almost every bone in his body was broken." Superman says to Batman as he looks at the scans that Superman had already ran on him.

"But this should help him." Batman says pointing to the tube filled with water, an oxygen mask on Kon as he breaths.

"Will help him." Superman corrects him.

"Clark." Batman says, nothing was for certain, Superman knew that.

"I put some of my blood in the water solution."

"After what happen last time?!"

"He almost died, what would you have me do Bruce?" Clark asks him. "Let him die? After what he's done for me?"

"What are you talking about?"

"We both know that I wouldn't have survived in the phantom zone for more than a week."

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do Bruce." Clark says to him. "He's stronger than me, he always has been."

"You don't-"

"I want him to be ok." Clark says to him. "If he was Jason, wouldn't you have tried to save him?"

…Smallville

Conner grunts as he gets off the pool of mud, wiping off the mud on his jeans. Johnathan gets out of the tractors and looks at him.

He looks at him. "This would be a lot simpler if you would just use your powers."

"Considering that Lex Luthor's bound to be looking for me, I don't think that'd be a great idea." Conner says back to him as he adjusts the chains on the tractors giant wheels.

"Clark used his powers whenever he wanted to, no one pays any attention to that sorta of thing here."

"Yeah that was before, now there's no such thing as remote. Luthor has his fingers in millions of high-tech devices. Between satellite surveillance and altitude spy planes, the world's not as big as it used to be." Conner explains to him. "After all I've been through with that guy, it doesn't hurt to be cautious."

"Look Conner, Martha and I have some experience raising exceptional children. We're used to complications."

Conner looks to the side and turns to the tractor, his hand shines blue and using his TTk he flicks it out of the mud. "Tractor's done."

"Good." Johnathan says with a smile as he pats Conner on his back.

"Anything else?" he asks not happy about what he had just done.

"No, that's about it. Go get cleaned up and help Martha in the kitchen."

"Yes sir." Conner says and turns to walk off in the plowed land. "You know I'm not suggesting these precautions just because of me." he says to him.

Johnathan looks at him. "What are you talking about?" he asks.

"If Luthor finds me, he'll have to go through you and Martha. Why don't you think about that?" he tells him and walks off, Johnathan looks at him shocked.

Clark looks around as he looks for his brother and finds him in a pond, sitting near the edge of a wooden bridge. Conner kicks up the water with his TTk, he picks up a water drop, he puts his finger in the water and pulls out all of the dirt in it making it clean, it was clear, extremely clear, crystal clear.

"I didn't know you could do that." Clark says to him.

"Me neither." Kon says dropping the water back into the pond. "Cable's been out for three days, are you here to pile on?" he asks him. "Between my super hearing you can't really sneak up on me…is that Lois's perfume is smell?"

Clark looks at him. "She hugged me." he defends himself. "And I wasn't trying to surprise you, Conner. I just want to talk." He says to him finding it a bit strange calling him Conner instead of Kon.

"I haven't done anything wrong."

"I'm just a little worried about it."

"You're worried I haven't done anything wrong?" Conner asks him standing up looking at him.

"Well-"

"That's it, I give up." Conner says and walks off.

"That's not what I meant."

"Your parents have been giving me crap about it. Go on they're in the farmhouse, I'm sure they'd love to hear your take on my Uncommunicative Adolescent behavior."

"I've already seen them. But I'm not here only because of something you've done, or haven't done."

"Then why are you?"

"I think it's time you come back to the Team."

"No."

"Kon please."

"I'm not ready yet Clark."

"Yes you are, you are ready, and your powers are back."

"But-"

"Work is what you need right now, okay? You've been shutting everyone out for two weeks, living here in the farm. It's not healthy Kon."

Conner sighs. "Captain Atom and Dinah won't clear me." he tells him.

"I'll take care of it." Clark says putting his hand on Conner's shoulder.

"Ok."

"Ok!" Clark says exited. "Go get cleaned and we'll go."

…Mount Justice

"Batgirl, run facial recognition and try to narrow down the meta humans vs the humans Robin you should go with her, well-"

The computers voice calls out Superboy's name.

"Kon!" Megan yells out and hugs him, Kon hugs her back.

"It's good to see you to."

"We missed you dude." Roy says, joining in the hug.

"Me too."

"Do Superman and Batman know-" Batgirl starts and is interrupted by the computer announcing Superman and Batman. "Never mind." She mumbles.

"Are you alright?" Megan asks him worried.

"Yeah, I'm ok, I'm a little fuzzy on the details on what happen." Kon lies.

"What do you remember?" Roy asks him.

"Just Kaldur and that woman Tigress poisoning me and…" Kon starts and he's memory flashes on the League fighting him in his hallucination. "That's all really." He lies.

"Well you look good." Nightwing says to them.

"Kon's joining you on your mission." Batman says to them.

"Are you sure you're ready?" Nightwing asks Kon.

"He's ready." Superman answers for him.

"Canary cleared you?" Nightwing asks.

"We talked to her, she cleared him." Batman tells him.

Kon looks down. "I'm gonna go say hi to Wolf."

"He's outside." Red Arrow tells him, Kon nods and walks out the zeta beam.

"He-" Batman starts.

"Listen." Roy interrupts him. "You said he'd be alright. Is that true? Or is it just the usual comforting bullshit?" he asks them. "He looked so out of it just now."

"Kon needs to be here."

"Are you sure?" Nightwing asks them. "If we push him to hard-"

"We have to push him, you haven't seen him for the last two weeks, how he's been…it's not good for him." Superman says to them.

"And you think pushing him back here after what he's been through is the right thing?" Roy asks them. "If anyone of us went through all of that, you would have benched us for months."

"Yes, keeping all of you out of the field until you are ready is the right approach for most of you, but not for Kon." Batman says to them. "He won't feel like himself until he's back in the field again. You know Kon."

"We do." Roy tells him. "And you want to start him on a mission where we have to blow up a ship filled with mercenaries whom we have to save before we blow it up?"

"It's a good opportunity for him to come back."

"It is a hell of a lot of pressure is what it is." Nightwing tells them.

"Well, he was in the phantom zone." Superman says to them. "I mean, he was able to survive with mass murders and serial killers with only a knife to protect himself. I don't think that pressure is the issue for him. We owe him this, Richard, and he needs it."

"Put him back in." Batman tells them.

…later

"So Kon? He's back? Like back, back or just for a while?" Wonder girls asks.

"He's coming back." Nightwing conforms.

"Are you sure? I mean if what had happen to him happen to me, I'd be in bed for a year." Robin says to him.

"But you're not me." Kon says as he appears behind him and smiles at him wearing his S black and red t-shirt and combat jeans plus his boots.

"Sorry Kon."

"It's cool." Kon says to him. "I heard you guys tried to help."

"We didn't do much." Batgirl says to him.

"Still, Cassie thank you for stop me from killing Diana." Kon says casually, Cassie looks at him slightly glaring, he smiles.

"You broke my arm and nose."

"Yeah." He nods. "Sorry about that." he says to her.

"What?" Cassie says looking at him.

"I'm sorry I almost killed you and Diana of course."

"No, you do not get to apologize and be done with it."

Kon turns to both of them standing in front of them as Cassie and Robin stand beside each other.

"We're going to need groveling, and some begging." Cassie says to him.

"And you taking our shifts." Robin says.

Kon looks at them. "Yeah." He says. "Except, didn't Batman tell you to stay put?"

"Yes." They say weakly.

"And didn't Nightwing-your leader tell you to stay put?"

"Yes." They say again.

"And didn't you-" he points to Batgirl. "Coerce them into coming with you to fight me?"

They turn to Batgirl. "Um…it was a group decision." She says hesitantly.

"And didn't Batman, Superman and Wonder woman all warn you about me when my eyes got red? The Rush Mode remember?"

"Yeah." They say.

"So, the lesson here is, do as your told, especially if you can't handle the consequences." Kon tells them and turns. "Mission?" he asks Nightwing.

"Yeah, we have a mission."

"Business as usual."

"Yeah, we need to go, it's a cargo ship we need to blow it up you in?" Nightwing says to him.

"I'm in."

"Oh Batman wants to see you before we go, I think he wasn't to give you some new GSPs for your clothes." Nightwing adds.

"Alright." Kon nods.

…INDIAN OCEAN…cargo ship

"Time?" Robin asks as he puts a bomb down attached to his belt.

"Five minutes." Nightwing orders him. "Superboy, how are you?" he asks over the coms, since M'gann was in another mission with Batgirl and Wonder girl. "Status, Superboy?" he asks again after only 10 seconds.

"Hang on!" Superboy yells at him as he puts his palm on his ear to click his com, then punches a mercenary teleports him out to a life pods with more mercenary in them, then teleports back to the cargo ship, then takes a scan around using his visions slightly out of breath. A mercenary comes up behind him puts a choke hold on him, Superboy elbows him in the gut and flips him over his shoulder then teleports out to the ship punching him knocking him out then teleports back out into a room filled with computers. "Were secured, go for it." he says as he puts a flash drive in the link up and starts to hack.

"Are you sure?" Red Arrow asks as he was on the other side of the cargo ship pulling the bombs.

"Yeah." Superboy says as he types on the computer looking at the screen as he types, trying to download the information on the ship.

Robin runs on the top of the ship as he puts the bomb on 5 minutes then goes all the way up to the top of the antenna, Red Arrow was already there.

"What took you so long?" Red Arrow asks with a smirk arms crossed.

"Mercenaries attacked me." Robin says to him. "We're here." He says on his com.

Nightwing pulls them up with a rope, as they get up on the bioship.

"Where's SB?" Red Arrow asks.

"He's not with you?" Nightwing asks.

"Superboy where are you?" Robin asks on his com, Superboy doesn't answer as he continues to hack taking longer than he had anticipated. Robin looks at his watch. "Superboy you have 2 minutes, come back now."

"Superboy, that's an order!" Nightwing yells him.

Superboy sighs as he finally got through with the firewalls and was now downloading the information that Batman needed.

"Damn it Superboy answer!" Red arrow yells on his com.

"Keep your tights on, I'm on my way." Superboy says as he clicks his com putting the flash drive in a black bag water/fire resistant. He tries to teleport out but gets dizzy and falls down panting. "How much time?"

"Less than a minute." Robin tells him. "Come on let's get out of here before they blow up and we get caught on the blast."

Superboy was running-not super speeding-running, he's powers where gone as he ran down the steel hallways.

"Superboy."

"I don't have my powers." He says as he runs.

"Stop messing around we have 30 seconds."

"I don't have my powers!" he yells as he runs faster and harder his boots landing hard on the metal floor.

"Oh my god, Kon."

"I'm out." Kon pants as he looks around for the bioship. "Where are you guys?" he asks as he puts his hands on his knees panting hard.

"Superboy go to the deck now!"

Superboy stops heaving and runs to the deck then it starts to explode and he falls down on his back.

"Kon go left!" Red Arrow says as he pinpoints his location with using his com. Kon stands up and goes left. "Oh sorry my left!"

"ROY!" Kon turns and yells.

"Just run!"

"Kon go, and just run, we're waiting for you." Nightwing says putting up the bioship in position ready to go.

Kon does, he runs dodging some debris with fire along the way as soon as he sees the edge of the ship he runs faster he sees the bioship, Red Arrow waiting for him.

"COME ON! You can make it!" Red arrow yells at him.

"I got the bioship." Nightwing tells him. "Tell me when!"

Kon jumps, Red Arrow tries to grab his hand but couldn't reach him as the cargo ship blew up and Kon falls. Red arrow flinches as the fire reaches him.

"Roy!" Kon yells as he falls.

"I got him!" Robin yells as he pulls out a grapple gun, it wraps around Kon's wrist.

"NO!" Red arrow yells at him as he knocks the grapple gun out of his hand and grabs Robin pulling him down to the floor of the bioship. "NOW!" he yells out to Nightwing.

…hours later

The fire had calmed down, Red arrow and Nightwing where in the water as Robin stayed up in the bioship right above the water looking around for any of them came up with Superboy in their arms.

Robin looks at his watch and starts pacing around. "It's been hours, to many hours." He tells himself. "The rebreather lasts for 6 hours, something could have happen by now, if they go to down there could get decompression sickness or they could be trapped or drowned or lost or…Oh god a shark!" he enters panic mode. "Nightwing! Answer me! Nightwing?! Nightwing?!" Robin yells in his com, as if they could answer.

"Right here, Boy Basket-Case." Nightwing says as he climbs in taking off the rebreather and sighs tired shaking off the water.

"Thank god." Robin exhales.

"Help!" Red Arrow yells out as he comes up for air with Superboy beside him as he hold him with an arm, they pull them up in the bioship.

Robin puts Kon down on the floor of the bioship and checks his breathing.

"Is he-?" Robin stops himself as he sees him, white skin and blue lips a bit shocked.

Red arrow starts CPR, Nightwing gets on the bioships controls and takes off to Mount Justice. By the time they had gotton there, Robin had taken over the CPR as Red Arrow had gotten tired.

…Mount Justice

They tried to explain what happen but the Team was more worried about Kon than their explanation.

Superman arrives. "What happen?"

"We can't get him to breath." Megan says as she presses on Kon's chest using her strength while Batman blew on his mouth.

"Is he-" Cassie starts.

"Move." Superman says to pushing them away then uses his x-ray vision to see the water in Kon's lungs. He puts his hand in a fist pound it on Kon's chest. Kon spits out the water as he turns his head coughing finally breathing.

"Well I could have done that." Cassie mutters.

"Kon are you alright?" Superman asks worried.

"NO! I'm not alright!" Kon yells at him getting off the table in the middle of the briefing room.

"Kon sit back down, you weren't breathing for hours. You could have brain damage or something." Red Arrow says to him.

"I told you! I told you I wasn't ready to come back." Kon tells him upset standing strong. "But you kept pushing and pushing. You were wrong. You were wrong about everything!"

"I know. I'm sorry." Superman says to him as he tries to hold him, Kon pulls away.

"What happened in the ship, we couldn't have foreseen that." Batman says to him.

"I DROWNED! I was dead!"

"For hours." Roy adds.

"For four hours?!" Kon yells not hearing him correctly as he turns to look at him shocked.

"No about…what like 9?" Roy asks Nightwing.

"I was going to say 12."

"OH MY GOD!" Kon yells, he was dead for 9 to 12 hours.

"Is that a new record?" Ravager asks.

"No he's died before just not as long." Nightwing says to them.

"Yeah, he's fine." Roy adds, as he pats his shoulder.

"Shut up!" Kon yells at them.

"You can swim, I'm sure you did the best you could." Batman says to him. Kon looks at them. "You did swim right?" Batman asks.

"I can't." Kon whispers closing his eyes thinking for a second. "I can't do it." he says a bit louder, they look at him. "You said I could do it but I can't." he says looking at Superman.

"I know. I know. I-we thought you were ready. You've never not been ready." Superman says to him.

"Kon, I know what you're feeling-"

"No you don't." Kon snaps at Batman. "I know you've been through a lot, but you can't possibly understand what I'm feeling right now."

"Then tells us."

"I can't be here." Kon says to them. "And if I can't be here, I don't know where I'm supposed to be."

"You're supposed to be here." Superman says putting his hand on his shoulder. "You're my brother. You can just be here." He says hugging him. "You'll get through this, just like you always do."

Kon pushes him away. "I'm sorry." He says and walks off, then walks back up to Batman pulling out a black bag he had with him from the side of his pocket. "The information you wanted from the ship. I was able to download it all for the ships mainframe."

Batman takes it, Nightwing glares at Batman. "Thank you."

Kon says nothing and walks off again going to his room.

"Seriously?" Nightwing asks Batman.

…Kon's nightmare

"Don't let go!" Superboy yells as his body almost gets sucked into a portal.

"We don't need you." Superman says letting his hand go.

Superman lets go of Kon's hand as he gets sucked back into the phantom zone portal.

"NOOO!"

…

"NO!" Kon yells out and releases a blue TTk blast, he looked around paranoid and sees all of his stuff on the floor, he sighs annoyed looking at all of the mess. He looks up at his wall and sees a poster of Superman smiling at him, it was creeping him out and so where all of the other posters of the Super heroes on his walls, he gets up and starts tearing them off.

…

"Hey Kon you wanna-whoa." Roy starts and stops.

Kon was sitting on his bed looking around his plain room, no pictures, no posters, no mess, he had taken off his camouflage comforter and his faded Superhero pillow case. The room is almost empty, Roy goes to sit down with Kon on his plain mattress.

"Soothing." Kon finally says something.

"Very…" Roy says looking for a word.

"Zen." Kon adds.

"Thoreau, Walden pond." Roy sighs, they stay quiet and Roy looks at Kon. "Maybe it'll help if you talk about it." He says after a couple of minutes.

Kon says nothing as he looks at his empty, clean room. "I need a new theme, maybe motorcycles or planets."

"How about dinosaurs?"

"I like the Triceratops."

"I prefer the Brachiosaurus."

"Roy did you-wow." Zatanna says as she looks around.

"Is your room bigger than mine?" Roy asks.

"Huh? Maybe I should just go to Ikea." Kon says.

"It's not that big." Roy and Zatanna tell him.

"Did you guys want something?" Kon asks.

"Mission." Roy tells him.

"Let's go." Kon says standing up, Roy follows him out.

"Ok, but we're shopping for linens afterwards." Zatanna says the last one out the door, looking at Kon's nightstand where he kept the Teams photo, it was gone.

…briefing room

"Hensel's producing supplies for a Neo-Nazi terrorist faction." Nightwing starts.

"We want the vaccine tech." Batgirl adds.

"What do you think?" Nightwing asks him. Kon looks at the blueprints of a company's plant. "Kon?"

"What?" Kon asks looking at the computer.

"Are you paying attention?" Nightwing asks him.

"Yes."

"Any thoughts?"

"No." Kon says.

"You have nothing to say?"

"We should get to it."

"It'd be better if it was a two person mission." Robin says.

"I'll go." Nightwing says and turns to Superboy. "Kon you're with me."

"Are you alright Kon?" Superman asks him.

"Let's get going." Kon says turning around walking off, not once looking at Superman.

… Badenweiler

Superboy and Nightwing climb over a wall, jump down. They run to the plant together, both dressed in their uniforms, each of them holding a black backpack. They lift the cover of an entry way.

"Let's go." Nightwing says.

Superboy jumps, then Nightwing jumps. They land in between walls, and walk in, crawling under. Superboy climbs up a ladder with Nightwing behind. They're now inside the lab. They run across a hallway, inside the lab. Nightwing crouches down, unzips his back and takes out the explosive. Superboy changes the wires around so that the alarm goes off.

"I'm going for the inhaler." Superboy says to him.

"I'll see you outside in ten." Nightwing says to him.

The alarms go off in the main room. People leave the room to find the problem. Superboy runs down a hall.

…Batcave

"I'm worried about him." Superman says to him.

"So I'm I." Batman agrees.

"I don't know what to do."

Batman turns to look at him. "Me neither."

"I hate that he's unbelievably stubborn."

"Me too." He turns back to the computer.

Superman looks at him. "Good talk." He says sarcastically.

…Badenweiler

Superboy runs while the guards run to find the problem on the floor below him. He stops and hides behind a wall, watching them leave, and looks, then runs.

Nightwing takes out an explosive device from his backpack setting it up in the lab. It starts to beep. Nightwing leaves. He runs and climbs down the ladder, runs in between the walls, climbs out, successfully exiting the building.

Superboy runs in the lab where the alarms are going off and where the people left from. He sees the cabinet full of inhalers. He opens the door and steals them all putting them in his backpack inside a black bag. He looks at the window door seeing someone behind him, he turns putting his fits up, no one was there. He closes the door and runs out.

"Kon where are you?" Nightwing asks on the coms.

"I'm running." Superboy tells him.

"Is the place cleared?"

"Almost."

"Tell me when." Nightwing says pulling out a small remote control.

Superboy runs out of the plant ending up on the other side of it. "It's good." He says on the com.

Nightwing hits the button, and the plant explodes, Superboy starts running to meet up with Nightwing, turns to see the fire engulfing the building and sees someone inside, he stops and looks at a shadow then runs toward it.

"Superboy? Where are you?"

Superboy uses his x-ray vision to see if there was anyone around but there wasn't.

"Robin?" Nightwing calls out. "Batgirl? Anyone there?"

"I'm here." Robin says to him.

"Get me Superboy's location."

"Ok, I'm pinpointing his location, Germany."

"A little more accurate please."

"I'm typing, hold please."

"Robin!"

"Ok, he's about 10 miles from you. Uh-oh."

"What?"

"I'm getting heat signatures."

"From the fire?"

"No, they're moving targets."

"Guards." Nightwing says as he starts running to where Superboy was. "Damn it Kon where are you?" Superboy was now running towards Nightwing when they finally meant. "Come on." Nightwing says and runs back, Superboy follows and they kneel down in the bushes, staring at the building that just exploded, Superboy looked back it at it horrified. "Kon, we've got to run! Kon, we've got to move!" Nightwing yells at him, Superboy was still staring at the building looking to see if the shadow appeared again. "Superboy, we've got to move, now! What's the matter, are you hurt?"

"No..." Superboy finally says something, he blinks and sees the shadow again clearer it looked like him, he stands, Nightwing pulls him down as three guards run to them, speaking in German.

"Let's go! Run!" Nightwing yells at him as he grabs Superboy and take off. They run through the trees, the three guards behind them. "Go, go, go, go!" The guards begin shooting. Superboy running, Nightwing following behind him. "Don't stop!" More gunfire.

Nightwing stops running and hides behind a tree. Superboy keeps running and jumps behind a fallen tree, laying on the ground. He had no idea what the hell was happening to him, he stays there, hiding. One of the guards with a flashlight in hand comes closer. Suddenly, Nightwing takes him and kicks him. Punches him. Nightwing and the guard grunt and punch, Superboy sits there in almost a catatonic state, wishing he was blind. Nightwing punches the guard one last time, and he falls.

"Come on, Kon. We've got to go." Nightwing says getting down on his knee.

Kon flashbacks to Wonder woman, Superman, Batman and the league attacking him in his hallucination, he shuts his eyes putting his hands on his head. Nightwing picks him up on his feet dragging him back to safety.

…Mount Justice

Kon walks into the cave, Nightwing behind him. Superman, Batman, Black Canary Roy and Zatanna were waiting for him to show up. They wanted to know what happen, how a simple mission could go so wrong. Instead Kon didn't even look them in the eye and walked to his empty room.

"HEY!" Nightwing yells, Kon stops in the middle of the hallway.

"What happened?" Superman asks concerned he had been waiting for them to show up.

"If you are so far gone, then fine be gone, don't you dare drag me down with you!" Nightwing yells at him. "Unlike you, I'm not ready to die!"

"What happened?" Superman asks again.

"Ask your suicidal brother over there!"

"I can barely remember it." Kon lies again. "The fight. I hurt Diana, Cassie and Megan and…and all I can remember are…bits and pieces, and the bits and pieces I do remember, come back at very inconvenient times so…end of story, okay?" he tells them. Kon turns back goes to his room, locks the door slides down, making sure they wouldn't come in to talk to him. "What the hell?" Kon whispers to himself.

"He's not coming anywhere near the briefing room until Canary clears him, I don't care what you or Batman says." Nightwing tells him. "Is that clear?"

"Yes." Superman says to him. "Dick, I'm sorry." He apologizes to him.

…

Kon wakes up and sees himself but he was in his uniform, his S t-shirt, his combat jeans and military boots standing by the foot of the bed arms crossed.

"What the-?"

"Hell? Yeah, no just me. I'm Superboy." He tells him pointing with his thumb on his red S chest making sure he saw it.

"I don't-"

"Just go with it."

"What?" Kon says confused sitting up.

"Well you're already crazy, why not hallucinate about your original self."

"Ok, this is crap."

"What's that?"

"You! I'm not crazy!"

"Sure you are." Superboy says as he sits on Kon's desk looking through the drawers. "Besides," he waves his hand off. "guilt never sleeps."

"Guilt? Oh. OK, so that's it, you're what, my subconscious?"

"No, no." he looks up from the pictures hiding. "I'm just like…the little voice inside your head, your original self." He pauses. "Only, I'm not so much on the inside now." he grins.

"Fine. I'm talking to myself. I'll play along." Kon says. "Hey, what're you doing here?" he asks himself.

Superboy smiles. "Hmmm, I'm snooping, it's pretty great actually." He says picking up a picture of him and Artemis in Rome. "Remember this?" he asks, Kon's smile drops. "She sure was loud that night, and every night after that." He says giggling, Kon glares at himself. "Oh, hey, I fixed this for you." He says as he picks up another picture hiding in the drawer with the whole team, except, Artemis, Kaldur, Zatanna and Wally's faces were scratched out and walks over to show Kon.

Kon stands and looks at it, he snatches it from his hand. "What the hell did you do?"

"What, you don't like?" Superboy asks him. "You see it's just you, Megan, Dick, and Roy left." He says putting up three fingers. "I think Roy is next, that guy has way too many issues or maybe Dick, that guy loves jumping off roofs so much one day he'll just SPLAT."

"Zatanna's not dead."

"No, but she left you, just like Wally."

"She didn't leave me and neither did Wally."

"Oh really? When was the last time you saw them when it didn't involve you dying? Or you forcing them to come with you to a movie? Face it when you're funeral comes around they will come with a smile no longer bound by their obligations to you."

"Who knew my subconscious could be such an asshole!"

"No, no, we're an asshole. Try to keep up, Ok?" Superboy says with a smile. "Oh, hey, check it out." he says as he opens the doors to Kon's closet and stands in the doorway, hands against the doorframe. "Closet full of anxiety! Get it?" he chuckles.

"Look, ghost of Christmas ass, what do I have to do or say to get rid of you?"

Superboy shrugs. "That's easy, where are your friends?"

There is a knock on the door, Kon wakes up sitting up looking over at the, Kon turns back to looking around his room nobody was with him.

"Kon? You ok?" Roy asks looking opening the door.

"Yeah…fine…ish."

"Movies?"

"Yeah let's go." Kon says getting up puttling on some jeans that where on the floor and grabbing a random shirt from his closet and slipping on his boots not bothering to tie them, he looks over to his desk grabbing his jacket. "Where's Zatanna?"

"I already asked, she said she was busy, maybe next time. Hey maybe you can convince her to come with us."

Kon looks at the picture of their faces scratched out. "No, she's in the big leagues now. She's going to be busy. If she says she doesn't have time, I'm fine with it." He says putting on his jacket and walks over to Roy.

…Happy Harbor beach

Kon runs out of the water shakes his head stretching on the beach and sighs as he watches the sun.

"What's up bro?"

"Oh come on!" Kon yells out and turns to see himself, Superboy S t-shirt, combat jeans, military boots. He gives himself a fake smile. "Let me ask you something, if I have a heart attack, do you die too?!"

"Duh." Superboy says to him.

"OK, I'm not…" he turns away walking back to the other side of the beach. "arguing with you."

"Oh, come on, Kon!" Superboy yells at him happy as he walks forward. "That's what we do, OK? We have these inner conversations daily." He tells him, Kon looks at him. "Am I gonna look stupid? Am I good enough?" he mocks, Kon glares at him. "Do girls just wanna get in my pants?" he pauses as Kon stares at him. "Should I just kill myself and get it over with?"

"NO! Ok, you're wrong, I would never do that

"What about the thing in the water?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You were fighting, but then-"

"I fought, I swam, the water was cold…" he stops talking. "and I have difficult relationships, who doesn't?" trying to joke it off but fails.

"Whatever you say,… hero." Superboy smirks and advances. "Poor me, whine, whine, mope, mope." He mocks him as he gets in his face. "always the victim! I have no mum, no daddy, Mike left, Artemis died, Kaldur tried to kill me, boo-hoo." He grins.

Kon looks at him in the verge of tears. "You really are an asshole."

"I'm not the one who pushes people away." Superboy shrugs , Kon quickly shuts his eyes as the tears start to roll and opens them, to see Superboy gone, he looks around.

Kon wakes up Wolf sits up looking at him. "I'm ok, it was just a dream." He says to him, he turns to his side. "it was just a dream." He whispers to himself.

…

"How are you?" Roy asks.

"Good." Zatanna says putting the plain grey sheets on Kon's bed. "And how are you?" she asks.

"Good."

"Right."

"Right."

"Is Kon, I don't know being…" Zatanna drifts as she tucks in the sheets under the mattress.

"Clingy?" Roy asks, getting out a new grey comforter.

"YES! Oh my god you to?"

"It's a freaking nightmare." Roy says to her. "I woke up and he was in bed with me. Who does that?"

"Kon. He did it to me too."

"Apparently."

"Hey, you guys want to go watch a movie?" Kon asks walking in his room.

"Sure." Roy and Zatanna say at the same time.

Kon looks at them. "Are you guys talking about me?" he asks them curiously.

"No." they lie.

"Ok, let's go." He says exited.

…Happy Harbor beach

"This is good." Kon says as he lays in the sand wearing his swim suit.

"Relaxing." Roy says with a sigh as he sits under a bleach umbrella on a chair, Zatanna wearing her purple bikini laying on a beach towel on her stomach.

"Doing absolutely nothing." Zatanna says with a smile.

"This is the life." Kon says.

Roy, Zatanna and Kon relaxing as people with apparently no work since they were hanging out at the beach on a Wednesday afternoon, Roy looking over the ocean with some sunglasses, Kon looks up at the sun.

"I'm losing my mind." Zatanna says standing up.

"Let's get the hell out of here." Roy says standing up with her.

"Alright, we're heading inside."

"You good Kon?"

"Yeah, I'm good." Kon says with a smile laying still.

Roy smiles back at him. "Alright."

"Don't stay up to late." Zatanna tells him as she grabs her towel.

"No problem."

Kon watches his friends disappear into the forest and drops down to the sand as he hears their names on the computer being announced.

"Hey loser!" Superboy yells out throwing a beach ball at his head.

"OH FUCK!" Kon yells out angry, he sits up looking up at Superboy laughing. "What are you doing? I'm not even asleep."

"You sure about that?"

"I did what you told me to do."

"And what was that exactly?" he asks him.

"I'm not pushing people away anymore."

"Yeah, you are."

"No, I am not!" Kon says standing up angry.

"Ok first of all I wasn't talking about bitchy one and bitchy two, I was talking about black and blue."

"Black and blue?"

"You are so stupid."

"That's it! I'm done!" Kon tells him and walks into the forest.

"You're never going to be Superman! Not after what happen in the phantom zone." Superboy says to him, Kon freezes. "You killed things, I doesn't count because they were things but we both know it does." He walks behind him. "You lie, and you lie and you lie some more." He says standing behind him. "You will never be Superman, you're a liar and murder. Two things Superman is most definitely not."

"Enough!" he yells out as he turns releasing a blast of TTk, Superboy goes flying off as does some of the sand, Kon pants.

"You don't want to get rid of me." Superboy says to him standing by the shadows in the trees, Kon quickly turns to him. "The other guy is so much worse."

Superboy flickers switching from bloody red eyes Kon to the Superboy, then stays with Bloody Superboy. Kon looks at himself taking a step back. Kon had blood coming out of ever cut that had ever been made, teeth marks, burns, part of his collar bone showing, his muscle exposed as if it was torn apart, the chain around his arm dripping with blood as it fell down on the grass/sand his eyes glowing red looking at him, Kon falls down, he opens his eyes quickly he was gone.

"I'm-I'm-I'm scared." He stammers.

…

He opens his eyes he had been laying down on the sand and looks around. "What the hell is happening to me?"

…Roy's apartment

"I need help with something." Kon appears behind Roy while he was in his laptop, he quickly shuts it. "Porn?"

"You saw nothing."

Kon rolls his eyes at him. "Whatever. Look I need help." He tells him again.

"With porn?"

"I've been having dreams."

"Sexual dreams are normal, I'm sure Freud has a book about it."

"No, not sexual, are you even listening to me?"

"No, not really."

"Roy."

"Start over."

"I've been having dreams about"

"I thought you didn't need sleep."

"It's this reoccurring dream I keep having. It's keeping me awake."

"Really? What's in the dream?"

"It's me, talking to me but I remember everything I talk about-we talk about."

"Sounds kinda crazy."

"They feel so real."

"What do you guys talk about?"

"Does that matter?"

"Yes."

"They're just dreams."

"Yeah but you're having them for a reason."

"No reason, they're just weird dreams."

"Then why are you here?"

"Good question."

Kon walks into his room and sees someon siting on his desk chair.

"Roy look, im sorry alright, I won't bother you next time." He says as he turns on his light.

He turns his head back towards Kon, and he doesn't look very nice. Kon sees him it wasn't Roy it was himself, he looks at the bed then back at himself. Superboy slowly stands up, and turns to Kon, who looked annoyed at the sight of himself. Superboy doesn't looks so hard anymore.

"Hey, Kon."

"Well, aren't you a handsome son of a gun." He smiles.

"We need to talk."

Kon nods and begins to walk in a circle, as does Superboy. They're walking in the same direction just across from each other.

Kon nods. "I get it. I get it. I'm my own worst nightmare, is that it? Huh? A little mano y mano with myself?"

"Joke all you want, smart-ass. But you can't lie to me. I know the truth." Superboy says to him. They stop walking, now having changed places. Kon standing by the desk, Superboy by the open door. "and what makes you think your sleep?"

Kon looks back at the bed and swallows, gets ahold of himself. "Sorry pal. It's not gonna work." He says with a smile. "You're not real."

"Sure I am. I'm you."

"I don't think so. Cause see, this is my siesta. Not yours." Kon says as he raises his left hand. "All I gotta do is snap my fingers and you go bye-bye." He snaps his fingers once, and nothing happens. Kon's smile fades, and he snaps again, noticing nothing's happening. Superboy just watches him. Kon snaps them three more times and then lets his hand fall to his side. Superboy gives him an I-told-you-so nod.

"I'm not going anywhere. Neither are you." Superboy tells him as he moves his hand the door slams shut behind him, and locks. All the smiles are gone from Kon's features, completely serious. "Like I said, we need to talk."

"About what?"

"How about your ambitions or lack thereof." Superboy says as they start circling each other again. "Talk about low self-esteem." he chuckles. "But then again, I guess it's not much of a life anyway, now is it?

"Wake up, Kon. Come on, wake up." Kon whispers to himself.

"I mean, after all, you've got nothing outside of this team." Superboy tells him, as they stop circling each other. They're now back in their original positions, Superboy by the desk and Kon by the door. "You are nothing. You're as mindless and obedient as an attack dog."

Kon smiles at him. "Obedient? Have you not met me? I am not mindless."

"No? What are the things that you want? What are the things that you dream? I mean, your bike? That's Batman's. What do you want to be? Superman. Who taught you how to fight? Wonder woman. Do you even have an original thought?"

Kon scoffs, not wanting to admit to anything. "That's not true."

"And let's not forget about Luthor." Superboy says to him, Kon looks at him angry. "Red sun.' You can still hear your Dad's voice in your head, can't you?" he says as he taps his index finger to his head. "Clear as a bell." He adds.

"Just shut up." Kon says to him smiling.

"I mean, think about it" Superboy says as he begins to walk towards Kon, whose smile is fading now. "All they ever did is train you, and the League boss you around." He says to him, they're now standing face to face.

"I mean it. I'm getting angry."

"Luthor knows who you really are. A good soldier and nothing else. Daddy's blunt little instrument." Superboy says to him, Kon glares at him angry. "Your own father doesn't care whether you lived or died. Why should you?"

"Son of a bitch!" Kon yells at him, Kon pushes Superboy hard knocking him into the wall above the desk. "My father is an obsessed bastard!" he screams at him angry. Superboy tries to get up and Kon kicks him down on the desk again. Kon starts punching him hitting him over and over. "All that crap he dumped on me, about becoming Superman! That was his crap. He's the one who could NEVER become Superman. He-" Superboy tries to get back up, Kon pins him to the wall and punches him again drawing blood as it stuck to his knuckles and then pins him to the wall with his forearm. "He's the one who ordered the light to kill me." he yells at him and punches him with his other fist still pinning him down. "The League is never there for me! I took Zod back from the phantom zone, I escaped from hell. I always was! It wasn't fair! I don't deserve what they put on me!" Kon keeps yelling at him. "And I don't deserve this life!"

Kon punches him harder then he'd ever punch anyone snapping his neck. He takes a step back as he puts his fist down, he looks at Superboy, dead. Blood is splattered on face and his eyes are closed.

Kon walks to him on the desk, looking at him, waiting to wake up from the nightmare. Suddenly Superboy eyes flickers open and they're completely red, with his blue iris. Kon own eyes widen as he takes a step back. Superboy sits up, looking into Kon's eyes.

"You can't escape me, Kon. You're a Luthor. And this? This is who you really are!"

Kon blinks and Superboy was gone. Kon looks around still waiting to wake up but he doesn't.

…Mount Justice

"I'm sorry I don't think I heard you correctly." Superman says shaking his head a little.

"What did you just say?" Wonder woman asks.

"I'm quitting." Kon says to them.

"What?" Everyone asks.

"Why?" Batman asks.

"Well I could list the many reasons, let's start with the emotional mess I am at the moment."

"We can talk about it, you can talk about it. That's what I've been trying to get you to do since you got back from the phantom zone." Superman says to him.

"Dinah has asked you several times to talk to her about your problems." Wonder woman says to him.

"I want to deal with it on my own."

"What kind of logic is that?" Wonder woman asks him.

"It doesn't matter. This isn't about that…exactly." Kon says hesitantly. "I need some time." He tells them.

"You're making a mistake." Batman blurts out.

"Thank you for your support." Kon says sarcastically.

"Kon, this isn't right." Wonder woman says to him.

"What? You want me to stay here with you fight a war I no longer believe in?"

"Kon you're not taking a break." Batman tells him.

"You guys do it all the time, I need a couple of months off."

"No! You are NOT taking a break!" Superman yells at him.

They look at Superman shocked that he had yelled.

"Yes I am!" Kon yells back.

"You're acting incredibly immature." Wonder woman says to him.

"You know it's because you're hurt but you have to get a grip." Batman says to him. "This is to important, becoming Superman is what you want. You've been working towards this your whole life!"

"No, I was programmed to take over Superman life after I killed him!"

"All right then great, kill Superman, that's fine." Wonder woman says to him.

"NO!" Kon yells at her upset.

"You'll never come back. You'll lose momentum." Superman says to him.

"Momentum toward what?! All I've been doing is working toward becoming Superman! I'm not going to be Superman so what momentum I'm I losing exactly?"

"You don't want to be me fine! I don't care about that! But you stay here you take a day off, figure out what you want to be!"

"I don't want that! I don't want to do that! I don't want to wander around a here where everyone else is focused and working toward something and I'm just floating!" Kon yells at them.

"So what's the great master plan, then, huh? You're going to stay here, live in your room, work part-time as a beach bum? Forget it. Not an option." Batman tells him.

"I'll figure it out." Kon tells him.

"No, not here." Wonder woman says to him.

"What?" Kon asks confused.

"You heard me, you are not allowed to be here, if you quit."

"But this is my home."

"Not if you quit." Superman says to him harshly.

Kon looks at them, they look back at him. "I'll pack up my stuff." He says and waits for them to say something. "I'm not kidding."

"Neither are we." Batman tells him.

"Ok great! Thank god! Thank god I'm getting out of this prison!" Kon yells walk off.

"Don't let the door hit you on the way out kiddo!" Superman yells back at him, Kon walks out into the hall to his room.

"Wow." Batgirl says looking at them.

"That was amazing." Robin says.

Roy and Zatanna look at the league members waiting for them to tell him to say, they don't.

Kon takes his old backpack putting a two pair of jeans in it and his normal plain t-shirts.

"Where are you going?" Zatanna asks him as she walks in with Roy.

"Leaving." Kon says as he puts socks and boxers in the backpack.

"Why?" Roy asks.

"Where you not there? They kicked me out."

"You kicked yourself out, just talk to us Kon please."

"Yeah what's going on with you man?" Roy asks.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Well you have to." Zatanna snaps at him as she takes out his clothes from his bag. "We are not letting you leave."

"Zatanna!" Kon says as he puts his stuff back.

"No Kon, you helped me get over Constantine." She says grabbing his arm.

"And you helped me get over my obsession with finding the other Speedy."

"Now it's our turn to help you."

Kon looks at them. "I'm just…tired."

Zatanna hugs Kon, Roy joins in seconds later, Kon hugs them back putting his arms around them.

"It's gonna be ok Kon." Roy says to him as he pulls away and so does Zatanna.

"Yeah." Kon says as he goes to grab his bag. "Take care of Wolf for me."

"Kon!"

He teleports out with his stuff.

"AH! I hate that power!" Roy yells out angry.

Kon sighs as he had teleported himself in the jungle, the place he hated most in the world, where all of the monkeys lived he takes off his S t-shirt and throws it away then puts on a plain red shirt and sighs, he goes into his pocket and pulls out a necklace with a black stone.

"Sorry Z." he says as he puts it on, hides it under his shirt.

He looks around at the river and sees the trees and vines everywhere, he puts on his backpack and starts walking.

"You can't escape me, Kon. You're a Luthor. And this? This is who you really are!" he remembers as he walks.
