"Hey Kaylie, it's Colleen. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. … I will meet you there in an hour. … Bye"
Colleen shut her cell phone and glanced down at the tub of ice she was sitting in. Most of it began to melt due to the fact that it was approaching twenty minutes since she had gotten in. Her sore muscles began to feel relieved, but it was still painful to exit the tub. Colleen ached as she stood up and used a towel to dry herself off. She needed to get ready if she was going to have dinner with Kaylie in an hour. Colleen got dressed into a t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. She put her hair into a loose ponytail and applied a bit of make up. Colleen hoped that Kaylie could give her some answers about Coach Belov as well as training tips. She needed one of the rock girls to help her. Lauren was in the hospital. That ruled her out. Payson was an amazing gymnast, but she would not be the best partner since Colleen was not as committed as Keeler. Kaylie seemed to be the only opinion. Kaylie's dad had even built the gym which added to the qualifications of Kaylie.
Colleen exited her bathroom and settle down on the couch with her laptop. She lived in a tiny apartment which her parents rented for her while she trained in Boulder. It was nothing fancy, but it provided the basis necessities to live. She lit the laptop to life by pressing the power button. She planned on checking her emails before heading out.
The bar seemed to be a perfect place to unwind after his day. Sasha Belov loved that his top three gymnasts were back training at the Rock with the other two girls destined for the Olympics. He thought it was nice to have a smaller work load with Coach MacIntyre being his partner. His body craved alcohol though after what the first day of them being there though. If it was not bad enough that Lauren had to be rushed to the hospital, Payson got caught in her relationship by the strict Summer Van Horne. Despite the fling he had with Summer, he knew she was against his gymnast dating. Her religious views were overpowering, and now he had an issue. Sasha also maintained a strict no dating rule at the gym, but he understood the Training Center gave them freedom. After eight weeks of acting as adults and making life decisions, he didn't want to step in. If they had been able to make the Olympic team while dating, he couldn't stop them now. Summer wanted Payson punished for having a boyfriend, yet she was not the only one. Kaylie and Austin were a couple, and Lauren was rumored to be dating a wrestler. Colleen even had a boyfriend from back home. These thoughts tumbled through Sasha's mind as he ordered a beer. The bartender served him an ice cold beer along with a shot a whiskey to soothe his troubles away.
"Rigo, you are not allowed to be seen with me at the Rocky Mountain Training Center. The other gym manger is one hundred percent about enforcing the no dating rule which applies when I am training there. We don't have to break up, but you need to avoid the Rock." Payson explained as they sat on the living room couch. Rigo frowned at the idea of not seeing his girlfriend like he planned too, but if it kept her out of trouble, he would do it. "Okay dear. If you say so." Rigo agreed before giving her a peck on her forehead. "And if Sasha finds out I lost my virginity to you at the training center, we will both be dead." Payson added. Sasha had already lost one gymnast to pregnancy. That along side that there was a connection between them would make Sasha lose it if he found out about her and Rigo's sex life. "That was a night to remember. Do you think we can recreate that minus the cramp tent?" Rigo asked as his eyes sparkled. Payson chuckled as she remembered the tent. It added privacy, but it was not made for two people. They could barely move with out bumping into one of the sides. "After the Olympics" Payson promised. She had a dream to achieve. "I am holding you to that, Payson Keeler." Rigo responded.
Kaylie was in the middle of unpacking when her cell phone rang. "Great, where did I put it?" she mumbled as she searched for where she last laid down her I-Phone. The ringing aided her in the process, and she soon found it under a mountain of dirty work out gear. It was Colleen on the other end wanting to know if Kaylie wanted to go out to dinner. Seeing that her brother, Leo, was still at college, and her father was having dinner with some baseball buddies, Kaylie kindly accepted the offer. Her mind scrambled to figure out what to wear. Her normal non gymnastics related clothing was packed away in boxes that she had not gotten to. She had been living out off her suitcase from the training center ever since she arrived yesterday. Of course, she had brought some dresses to the training center for formal dinners, but those were currently at the dry cleaners. Kaylie looked down to look at her current outfit, a sports bra and booty shorts. She needed to find which box had normal clothing in it. Eying the labels on each box, she quickly discovered one. Kaylie ripped open the top and grabbed the sundress that was laying on top. She changed into a normal bra and put the dress on. Her hair looked decent, and she was not in the mood to change her make up. Grabbing her purse, Kaylie left the apartment and headed towards the destination where she was to meet Colleen.
"Feeling better man?" the bar tender asked Sasha Belov, who was now drunk. Sasha tried to reply, but he was now feeling the side effects of the alcohol. "She doesn't belong with that boy. She belongs with me." he murmured before attempting to stand up from his bar stool. It was never his intent to get drunk, but one shot of whiskey led to another until he was visibly drunk. "Should I call you a cab?" the bar tender asked as he picked up the phone from behind the counter. "No, but can you keep my keys until I am sober?" Sasha asked as he tossed his car keys to the man who had served him. Despite the fact he had a high blood alcohol level, Sasha knew it was unsafe for him to attempt getting behind the wheel of his truck. With that, Sasha left the bar and headed back to his apartment.
