Nature's Past
Part 1: New and Old Friends
Alfea College for Fairies: Winx Dorm

It was a normal day at Alfea for Flora. Or at least at normal as it could be for a member of the fairy group Winx who had defeated Tritannus, a mutate merman bent on ruling the magical dimension, just a few weeks early. You'd think she was happy, but it wasn't true. She was sitting alone in the dorm, in her green satin robes, looking out the window. Her usual smile and sparkle in her eyes gone and replaced by a small frown and sad eyes.

Ever since Helia had introduced their group to Krystal, Flora had been feeling left out. She remembered when there was an outing of any kind everyone would go. But lately her friends had been forgetting her. They all wanted to just hang out with Krystal. At first it was little things, a few shopping trips to Magix and trip to White Castle Cafe, but it just kept getting worse. Flora understood why it was happening. Krystal was a princess someone who could relate to Bloom, Stella, and Aisha. She loved music also as much as Musa, and was always going to Tecna for help with the latest gadget she had. And mostly importantly she had history with Helia.

"After all, I'm just a friend," Flora muttered, standing up and walking up to the window.

"Its not the end of the world," Flora told her reflection in the mirror, "I can live with it...Besides, today is a special day. You're not being sad or upset. You going to have the day you planned, seeing old friends...Everything else can wait for later."

Flora felt a little better after her little pep talk, and smile at herself. She was about to say something else when the door open, and the rest of the girls came in. Bloom, Stella, and Musa each holding a few shopping bags, and Aisha and Tecna hold a few shoeboxes.

"Fun day," Flora asked, seeing all the things, and going back to sitting down on one of the couches.

"There was a sale at that boutique on Ninth and Eves Street," Stella said.

"So Stella had to buy everything," Aisha said, dropping her boxes and sitting beside Flora.

"I just brought a few essentials," Stella said, putting her bags on the table.

"Whatever," Musa said, sitting down.

"We need to be ready to leave in like twenty minutes, so don't get too comfy," Bloom said, "The boys will be here soon."

"Oh...Krystal said she didn't want to go out tonight, so she wanted you to have her ticket," Tecna said.

"I'm already going with some old friends," Flora said, 'Which you all would know if you'd listen to anything I said last week.' "Maybe you could give it to Roxy."

"She went back home early," Bloom said, "She wants to help her dad with the Smoothie Bar."

"Who are you going with, Flora," Musa asked.

"Just some friends from Linphea," Flora said.

"Girls we need to go get ready," Stella said, grabbing all her bags (an act that seemed impossible to Flora).

"She's right," Flora said, "My ride will be here soon too. You'll get to meet them."

Twenty-Five Minutes Later

"The boys are here," Tecna called out from the living room.

Tecna was dressed in purple dress that went down to mid-thigh with black leggings. She had on black boots and her hair flat straight under a purple hat.

"Coming," Bloom said, as she and Stella came into the living room.

Bloom was wearing her new dark jeans with a sky blue and white striped tube top with black lace on the bottom. Her hair was a mess of red curls, and she had on white ankle boots.

Stella was wearing a yellow mini dress with a sweetheart neckline and a black-cropped jacket. She accessorized her outfit with a black belt, hooped earrings, and a gold purse on a silver chain. Her hair was pinned backed and straight.

"It's not like they'd leave with out us," Aisha said, walking out of her room.

"Yeah, Riven knows not to mess with me and music," Musa said, following after Aisha.

Layla was wearing a pair of sea green capris with a black sleeveless, sweetheart top. She had a forest green see through cover over her shirt. Her hair was pulling into two pigtails, and she had on black-heeled boots.

Musa was dressed in red legging and black tank top with red bejeweled musical notes on it that formed the word "soul". She had on her black ankle boots with her (actually it was Riven's) black denim jacket. And her hair was up in a high ponytail.

"Where's Flora," Aisha asked.

"She said to head on down without her. She needed to finish up," Bloom said, heading for the door.

After the Red Fountain spaceship landed in the courtyard, the girls came outside.

"Brandon," Stella yelled running toward him, as the boys walked down the ramp.

"Hey, Princess, you miss me," Brandon laughed as he caught Stella, who had launched herself at him. The boys were wearing jeans with t-shirts (Brandon-orange and red, Skye-blue stripes, Timmy-green, Roy-yellow, Riven-red and black, Helia-tan) and their bike jackets.

"Always," Stella said, as the other girls greeted their boyfriends.

"Where's Flora," Helia asked, looking around for his girlfriend.

"She was finishing up," Bloom said.

"But she's not joining us," Aisha added.

"What," Helia said, and the other boys thought the same thing.

"She's going with some of her friends," Flora said.

"I thought y'all were her only friends," Riven said, "Oof!" He grunted when Musa elbowed him in the stomach.

"Be nice," Musa said.

"I'll show you nice," Riven said, grabbing Musa around the waist.

"There she is," Tecna said, pointing a Flora, who was coming out the front door. Flora was wearing a white thigh-length trench coat and black thigh-high boots. Her hair was straight with brighter blond highlights.

"Hey boys," Flora said, smoothing out her coat.

"Hey Flora," the boys all said.

"Hello, Flora," Helia said, taking her hand and kissing it when she reached him, "You changed your hair."

"Yeah," 'You could have know that last week if you bothered to try and see me after canceling our dates,' Flora said and thought, "Do you like it?"

"You look radiant as always," Helia said, kissing her hand again.

"Thanks," Flora said, smiling.

"Are you really not coming with us," Helia asked.

"Sorry, my friends are almost here," Flora said.

"Who," Skye asked, putting his arms around Bloom's shoulders.

"Them," Flora said, spotting a black with green stripes hover ship in the sky.

"Nice ride," Riven said, as the hover ship landed.

"Flora," A blond yelled, running out of the ship as soon as the ramp was down and then jumped Flora in a hug.

"Jasmine," Flora said, hugging the girl back.

"Don't forget about us," two more girls said, running out of the ship and joining the hug.

"Iris...Camellia...I've miss you guys so much," Flora said.

"I expect at least half the reaction Iris got," A brown-haired boy said walking down the ramp with two other guys and another girl.

"Ash," Flora screamed, breaking the hug with the girls and dashing over to the boy-Ash. Ash picked her up and twirled her around before hugging her.

"Flo, I have missed you," Ash said.

"I missed you too," Flora said, before the other two boys pulled her out of his arms.

"Flora," they said hugging her.

"Zachary...Dylan," Flora laughed hugging them.

"Okay. Move it's my turn," the girl said, pushing Zachary and Dylan away.

"River," Flora said, smiling.

"Well, don't just stand there. Hug me," River said.

"Oh my god, I've missed you," Flora said, giving her a hug.

"Come meet my friends," Flora said, grabbing River and Ash's hands and pulling the along.

While Flora was with her friend, the winx and specialists were trying to figure about how Flora knew these people, all except Musa who seemed to be in shock.

"Guys, this is-" Flora started.

"Magic Vines," Musa and Stella practically screamed, shocking the winxs and specialists. They had not expected Flora's friends to be the band that they were going to go see.

"I guess, we have some fans," Ash laughed.

"This is Jasmine Woods, Iris Brooks, and Camellia Springs , the best friends you could want; River Song, the manager slash referee of the group; and Zachary Forest, Dylan Redwoods, and Ashton Frost, also know as the Magic Vines," Flora said, pointing to each as she went.

Jasmine was about Flora's height with short curly blond hair and light skin. She had on black legging and a green long sleeve shirt with a black corset and a pair of black stiletto heels.

Iris was also about Flora's height but with spiky red hair and tan skin. She was wearing a pair of red jeans and a white sequin top and a black denim jacket and black combat boots.

Camellia was a taller girl, probably close to six foot with long black hair and dark chocolate skin. She was in a camo mini dress with a black belt and knee-high black boots.

River was the oldest in the group, by about five years. She had long silver hair that she wore in a high ponytail and was wears a blue one shoulder dress with a black belt with flowers on it and heels.

Zachary built like Riven-broad chest and wicked arms-with long blond hair that he pulled back into a ponytail. Dylan was taller with an athletic build, like Roy, with short black hair. Ash was built but not with overly worked muscles and had brown hair was tossed up (AN: think Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvator). All the boys were wearing black pants with a t-shirt (Zachary-blue, Dylan-dark green, and Ash-white) and a black leather jacket.

"And these are my friends the Winxs Club and the Specialists...Aisha, Roy, Tecna, Timmy, Stella, Brandon, Bloom, Skye, Musa, Riven, and Helia," Flora said, finishing the introductions.

"Flora, you know the Magic Vines," Musa said, after a few moments.

"Yeah, were grew up in the same village on Linphea," Flora said.

"Flora's told us so much about you," Camellia said.

"Yeah, I feel like I've know the Winxs forever," Iris said, smiling.

"I wish we could say the same," Stella said, and turned to Flora, "Why didn't you tell us?"

"Never seemed important," Flora said, shrugging her shoulders, "So I guess we should get going."

"What's the rush? It's not like they can start with out us," Dylan said.

"She's right, you loudmouth," Jasmine said.

"Whatever, but first I want to see what's under the coat, Flora," Dylan said, as he gave her shelve a tug.

"You'll see at the concert," Flora said, shaking her head.

"Not happening," River said, "Take it off."

"Seriously," Flora asked, looking at Ash.

"She's the boss," Ash said.

"And don't forget it," River said, smirking, "Coat, off."

"Fine," Flora said, snapping her fingers and her coat vanished. Flora heard few gasps and curses from behind her and smiled.

Flora was in thigh-high black heeled boots with a black mini skirt. She had on a cropped black jacket over a jade and black halter corset top that stopped above her midriff. She was also wearing silver bangles and had a black cloth purse.

"Happy," Flora asked, doing a spin.

Ash and his group gave a few catcalls and whistles, while the Winxs and Specialists were silent. The Winx had never seen Flora dressed like that before; and the specialist were just in shock that quiet, sweet Flora looked like that. And Helia looked very pink.

'Well, at least I know he still finds me attractive,' Flora thought, looking at Helia and giving him a smile, which only lead to Helia turning a darker pink.

"Okay guys we seriously need to go," River said, in manager mode.

"Okay, so I guess we'll see y'all at the concert," Flora said, as the guys got into their ship, and she followed after them.
