Summary:
Flora's past meets her present, but there are still so secrets left to be seen. Will Flora be able to rise above all the drama, or will the shadows of her past shallow her whole? What will happen to the Winx? And what are the Trixs up to?
This is the first part in the second section of Nature's story.
Nature's Shadow
Part 1: A Storm Is Brewing...
Summer Castle Reception Hall
Night 2: Fall
After they got into the ballroom, Ash took Flora to 'blue-bloodhound', and the Winxs and Specialists were lefts to themselves. Helia looked at where Flora was talking with some Linphean courtesans. She turned and smiled at him, before Ash lead her over to another group.
"Excuse me, are you all the winks club," A man said, coming up to the group. The man was 6' 4" with a muscular build. This man has mocha skin, blue eyes and short, neat black hair. He was wearing a mandarin-collar suit, done in light green and white, with a vest; and he had a sapphire ring on his right hand.
"It's Winxs Club; but yes, we are," Stella said.
"Excellent, I'm looking for Flora; where is she," the man said.
"Who are you," Bloom asked.
"I am Darius Simmon Robbins the third," Darius said, taking Stella hand and kissed it.
"Princess Stella of Solaria," Stella replied, "Who are you to Flora?"
"Her boyfriend," Darius answered.
"Impossible, her boyfriend is right behind me," Stella said, glancing at Helia.
Darius looked Helia over before said, "Well, that is slightly troubling." Before he disappeared into the crowd.
"Who the hell was that," Riven said.
"I bet it was Flora's exs," Stella said.
"He didn't seem to think her was an ex," Aisha said. Helia frowned at look over the crowd, trying to find Flora again. While he was searching, he caught sight of Krystal making her way over to them.
Krystal was wearing a red and light purple dress. It has a short narrow skirt that flares at the bottom and round sleeves with an inverted V-line waist. Her long pink hair was curled and pulled her right shoulder.
"Hey Helia, guys...are you enjoying the ball," Krystal asked, walking up to Helia linking her arms with him.
"It's been very illuminating," Helia said, and then asked, "Do you know a Darius Robbins?"
"Not personally...he's is the son of a duke from the Summer Court," Krystal said, "He is a jerk, or at least that's what I've been told. Awhile ago he was date some captain's daughter, while his own father was looking into a marriage with the Winter kingdom with an Earl's daughter, Elsa I think...Anyways Earl found out after they arranged a contract and refused to marry him."
"What happened to the girl he was dating," Stella asked, "Who was the she?"
"He dumped her before the arrangement with Elsa was made public, "Krystal said, "I can't remember her name. But I think her father served in the my court before he moved to Summer's."
"That has to be Flora," Musa said.
"Flora lived at court," Krystal said, surprised.
"Wouldn't you have know that.
"Not if she was when before I was fifteen," Krystal said, "Royal children stay in estates away from court. Its so we can live outside of the place, and learn to run our homes. Some of the courtesans send their children, as well."
"We'll have to ask Flora about it," Tecna said.
"What happen to Elsa," Bloom asked.
"Last I heard her father was arranging a marriage with someone from Tideruom," Krystal said.

"Introducing the Fall Theocracy of the West," a page called out, "Their royal highnesses, King Hawke and Queen Scarlet, and the sons and daughter: Prince Hunter, Prince Kale, Prince Leif and Princess Laurel."
The royal family descended down the stairs. The men dressed in brown and gold tuxedos and the girls in crimson gowns.
"And now for tonight's entertainment," the page called out into the hall.
Flora and Ash made there way to the center of the room, as the music started, and began to waltz. Ash lead Flora around the room, twirling her and then the music changed. Ash spun Flora once and her clothes and his started to glow. When they stopped, Flora was in a white and green dress and Ash was in a navy blue suit with gold buttons and shoulder pads.
Ash:
Let me be your wings
Let me be your only love
Let me take you far beyond the stars
Let me be your wings
Let me lift you high above
Everything we're dreaming will soon be ours
Anything that you desire
Anything at all
Everyday ill take you higher
And I'll never let you fall
Ash lifted Flora off the ground and span her around, before pushed her away out the ground. She seemed to float in the air, and soon Ash joined her. Only Ash had wings...shiny, translucent wings (AN: like the prince's wings in Thumbelina).

Leave behind the world you know
For another world of wonderous things
We'll see the universe and dance on saturn's rings
Fly with me and I will be your wings
Anything that you desire

Ash and Flora floated around the room, going higher and higher. Until Ash let Flora go, and she fell downward.
Flora:
You will be my wings
Ash:
Let me be your wings
Ash swopped down and caught her bridal style.
Flora:
You will be my only love
Ash:
Get ready for another world of wonderous things
Ash and Flora circled around the fountain, dancing.
Flora:
Wondrous things are sure to happen
Both:
We'll see the universe and dance on saturn's rings
Flora sat down on the fountain side as Ash circled her. The Winxs were right beside then. Helia was close enough that if he reached out his arm, they would touch.
Ash:
Heaven isn't too far
Flora:
Heaven is where you are
Flora sang, turning to look at Helia, and then Ash helped her stand, and then shot up into the air.
Both:
STAY WITH ME AND LET ME BE YOUR WINGS!
As the music ended, the room was filled with clapping. Ash and Flora landed back on the floor and bowed to the crowd and then each other. Ash kissed her hand, as their costumes faded back into their previous clothes.

"Flora, you were amazing," Bloom said, when Flora came back to the group.
"Thanks," Flora said, smiling.
"You were outstanding," Helia said, and then kissed Flora's cheek.
"Is something wrong," Flora said, feeling a tension in the group.
"We're not sure," Aisha said, looking at the other.
"You're starting to scare me now," Flora said, wondering what could have happened in such a short amount of time.
"What was the name of the duke's son you were seeing," Helia asked.
"I already told you about my past. Why would you want that," Flora said, stepping away from them.
"Please," Stella said.
"Darius...Darius Robbins," Flora said.
"So you haven't forgotten me then," A voice from behind the group said. Flora turned around and there stood Darius.
"Flora, darling," Darius said, walking up to Flora. Flora was completely frozen. Darius came to stand right in front Flora, and just waited.
"Where's my greeting," Darius asked, going to kiss her cheek, but was stopped by Helia pulling Flora away and behind him.
"Back away from my girlfriend," Helia said.
"Flora, tell this delinquent to leave," Darius said to Flora, completely ignoring Helia. Flora was still frozen. She hadn't seen Darius since all those years ago. Seeing him brought everything back, almost as if it was just yesterday.
During this altercation, the Magic Vines and their girls had come up behind the group. When they saw Darius, Ash almost completely lost it, but the Jasmine and Camille beat him to it. Jasmine walked right up to Darius and slapped him. The sound of it seems to unfreeze Flora.
"What the hell are you doing here," Camille asked, walking up beside Jasmine. She was wishing she had gotten to him first, wishing she could've slapped him.
"Trying to greet my girlfriend," Darius said, pulling out a handkerchief from his jacket and wiping his cheek, "Now, if you would please remove that uneducated street rat from my presence."
"First off, you have no right to talk about her like that. Secondly, I am not the help; and if you don't get it out quick, I make sure you realize that before you leave and it won't be pleasant. Third, you are not her boyfriend," River ranted.
"Her boyfriend is the guy behind, who totally looks ready to kill you," Iris interjected.
"And finally if you want to get through this night to see tomorrow you had best get out of here before I do more damage than she wants to do," River finished, coming to stand in front of Jasmine and Camille.
"Do you know who I-" Darius started but River cut him off
"I know exactly who you are. Which is why you had best leave now," River said.
Darius looked like he wanted to argue, but thought better of it when he saw the Specialist and Magic Vines all glaring at him.
"I'll see you later, Flora," Darius said.
"Uhmm. No, you won't," Iris said.
Once Darius had left, Jasmine and Stella turned to Flora and asked, "are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Flora said.
"Liar," Camille said, going up to her and giving her a hug.
"I feel confused and a bit...I don't...shaken seems too strong," Flora said.
"The emotional state you're looking for is pissed-as-hell," Jasmine said.
"I'm just really-tired," Flora said.
"Maybe we should call it a night," Helia said.
"No, I don't want to ruin everyone's night," Flora said, and looking up to Helia, "Can we just go to the garden for a little bit."
"Sure," Helia said, taking Flora's hand.

"Now, it begins," Daryl said, from the shadows watching the couple walk in the garden.
