Season 5 ep.22
Max POV
How did I NOT see this coming? Joshua looked so happy to see him. Like a little boy seeing his father again. I was still thrumming with battle energy and wanted answers. "How odd that the father of our country shows up after all the fighting is done with. How did you know we'd be here?" I asked. He looked to me, "Ah my special little one." his eyes were endearing to me. As if he truly was a father looking at his daughter.
Not unlike when Deck did and his eyes held more of a clash between happiness that his wife got to live on in some form and attraction. It had revolted me and almost had me snapping his neck in the van. But we needed him so I resisted. Of course thinking on it now, I could have done it all myself and then killed him. But we still needed to steered down the right corridors, either way he was needed, "Let's skip the family reunion bit and cut to the chase. You've got a lot of questions to answer." I stated.
He nodded, "Of course." An uncomfortable hour later found everyone sitting at the table in HQ with Sandman strategically placed to have any and all eyes on him. Even Mia was in on the action. "Start from the beginning." I ordered, "Manticore was a project to help protect the people. It wasn't a hard sell since Colonel Lydecker was eager to begin. However unfortunately the conclave found out about what I had done." This much we already knew.
"I had to escape them. Going into hiding was made that much easier thanks in part to the pulse." Go figure, "The reason you all figured out for your creation, to protect the people from the conclave. The reason why I'm now here with you all is simple." I looked to him, "You also head off the group Gamble told me about. He did say he could get us into contact with you about a year ago but we got to busy." I explained.
"Yes I do. But now that the main members here in the state of Washington are gone we can give the information regarding the rest of them in power." He explained, "How do we know you're not part of them and giving this up to save yourself?" Zack asked, "I'd think with all of this time gone by you'd be a little less angry. Must have been a genetic flaw." Sandman responded, "I watched your unit for as long as I could without raising suspicion." He looked to Deck. "I knew you would do your part in acting as the father they needed."
Zack was outraged, I snorted and Krit and Syl cackled, "Let me go on record to say that anything fatherly wise wasn't done for a long period of time. If any at all." Sandman calmed the others down, "What I meant was, compared to how it could have gone you wouldn't have retained your humanity as soldiers." I sighed, "Back to the point." he nodded, "When it came to the conclave I was a full blown member. When I had my second son something told me he wouldn't live. The conclave and I argued the matter."
"Yeah, yeah CJ told me this part. You tested his blood and found him to not be able to survive." He nodded, "I tried to run off with him, I knew Ames would be okay. He was more loyal and dedicated to them than even I was." I agreed, "Got that right." He remarked, "Never the less he was a good man at his job and a good father. I kept tabs over the years." I was inclined to agree with that.
"However he absolutely distained me. Felt I was nothing more than a bad mark on his history. He even changed his name. He was weak to be so loyal to a cult cause like that. I at least saw the errors in our ways and formulated a way to help out the people that needed to be saved. Those that couldn't save themselves." He stated, "Humans." I iterate, he nodded. "I loved CJ and Ames mother, she was a gift to me. The conclave knew I had fallen in love with her but didn't care." He looked to be struggling with it.
"They killed her." I remark, "They made me watch. To prove my loyalty to them was more than it was to her. I died that day. On the inside. I knew that if they saw how much it hurt, knew how much I wanted to kill them that they would not only kill me but CJ as well. I had to try and save our son. Ames by that point was a golden boy of theirs so I knew he'd be safe. So I watched, died on the inside and when I had the chance took CJ and ran." He explained.
"But then they caught up with you." Syl said, "No, not me. I was trying to hide CJ but I needed to go make arrangements to get him out of the country." Sandman explained, "Let me guess, you left the lodgings, came back and found them pulling him from the place." He nodded, "There was to many for me to handle. I had failed my son. So I ran. I saved myself back then. I decided that I would reach out to others that I knew I could trust. So I began to formulate a plan of action." Everyone murmured.
"Let me guess that plan was Manticore?" Zack snidely stated, "No, wise ass." Zack arched a brow, "The plan was to help other familiars that were going through the same process. Those that loved their spouses. Those that wanted to get out of the life of the snake worshiper. So we kept in contact, formed our group and made sure to keep our head above water so we could still when the time came wipe out the top members that sought to do everyone harm." He went on. "It's why I'm here now."
I responded, "So their going to respond through you here?" I asked, he laughed, "No, I'm the person that will be giving you a way to the information. When I spoke to Gamble I left him under that impression so he wouldn't inadvertently tip the conclave to my being in the area. It was so satisfying to hear that explosion." He smiled, "What can I say, we needed some get back." Alec held my hand tighter.
Our chairs right next to one another. "You didn't turn out as expected. You've become so much more." Sandman looked to me, "Tends to happen when you make a kick ass female." I smirk, "Tell me more about your life Max. I want to know what happened after the first escape. Your unit had such an adventurous life. I feared at many points your for your life but could do nothing to interfere. You covered your tracks well."
I was shocked to hear that, "She'll tell you when she wants to." Alec remarked, "So you tell us more." Zack ordered Sandman, "The conclave you took out was just the tip of the ice berg. There are over a hundred high ranking members of them all over the world in various high political standing. I believe one is even the president of a foreign country. Some small one." he waived it off as a mute point.
"My point is without the list of familiars they will just build or re-assign another set of their own into power over here to take over what my own were doing." Sandman explained, "So we need to take them out." Zack said, "We can't." I scoffed, sounding tired, "And why not?" he demanded, "Did you NOT just hear him. We don't know where they are, or who they are. Nor can we get to probably half of them." I looked to Sandman, "The list where is it?" I asked. He shifted in his seat.
"Look I get it you don't know us but reality is these people need to go down. I have some contacts in the FBI, well above White's head. I can get the information to them safety and have those people removed. Those that aren't captured or killed will be forever on the run." I explain to him. "No they must be killed. IF they aren't neutralized on the spot they will come back in full force." I sighed.
He huffed, "Listen I understand that you all are tired and ready for this to be done with but once we get those global members exposed there's nothing left to fear or deal with from them anymore." I looked around the room, "You get us that list we can all rest easier. Now where is it?" I demand. He said, "I did have a copy on me but…" he looked almost sheepish, "What?" I demanded of him.
"I originally stopped on the wrong side of the building. Saw the two of you fighting with some familiars…" he said pointing to Syl and Krit, "And ran into one myself. We got into a scuffle before I shot him. The gun's in my car." He explained. "So…?" I asked, "It got dropped and…yeah." He held it up. The mangled thing barely resembled a flash drive. "You shot it?" I stated dryly. "Not on purpose." He defended, "The bullet went through him and into the ground, "When I found it…yeah."
"So you were over him?" Zack asked, "Yes, barely but yes." He stated gruffly, "So where's another copy we can get ahold of?" I asked. He smiled, "I was hoping you'd ask. Especially since I cannot get to it." He looked away briefly, "Where is it?" Alec asked, "Before I tell you where you need to understand, once you have it you have to go beyond the FBI. You need to go someone you know and trust within the CIA."
I already had a man in mind, "Not a problem. We have someone on our side that I know will be a good choice." Everyone looked to me, "He will be." I confirmed, "A lot rests on this." Krit said, "I know." I agreed, "Where it is?" I asked Sandman, "I had a friend at the FBI. He said he would keep a copy of it there. It's on a level of clearance Ames couldn't get to. Which by the way what happened to my son?" he asked. I nearly shied away, "I killed him." he appeared upset for but a moment before accepting it, "He choose this path himself."
I nodded my head then thought to myself…wait a second… "Still the list is at FBI head Quarters?" Zack asked, "Yes. The list you want will be in the vault, in a computer hard drive. It's at FBI Head Quarters." My jaw dropped…shit he was for real… "Just when I get comfortable." Alec grumbled, "You want us to break into the FBI?!" I asked, dead panning. "Yes. Every name
of everyone that would love to kill a human or a transgenic is on there." I pinched the bridge of my nose in irritation.
"This is the last thing we do for the familiars." I wanted him to get this, for it to me known. After this we were done. "After this is over were done." I stated with finality. "Fight your own battles from now on. It's no longer our war. We just want to be left alone to live our lives in peace. It's not our problem anymore. We did our part." I tell Sandman. I want him to get that there's no asking in this, were done.
"I understand that you all - " I cut him off, "No understand this." I was not getting into an argument, "After this were done." He saw the finality in my eyes. Everyone did, "And if I want to come visit you?" he asked. I knew I sounded tired and I was, "I don't care if you visit. But I don't want to hear anything related to 'can you?', 'could you?', 'need you?' or 'would you?' from your mouth for anything."
He quirked a brow. "Not the young woman I thought you would be. That's for damned sure." He chuckled, "You get us the bureau's location we'll hit it, then be done with this once a for all." He nodded before excusing himself. A transgenic 'body guard' on him to ensure he wouldn't try something stupid. "I don't trust him." Zack remarked, "Zack if it could breathe you wouldn't trust a paper bag." He frowned before remarking, "So once we get the location who will go?" I saw everyone looking to me.
"Alec and I will. Daniel and Cece will stay at HQ, everyone else whatever you want. It's a two man job only." The rest of the room dispersed. "So FBI." Alec grunted. "Yeah…" I tell him, "Better than the sewers." I nod before getting up to leave. We exit out and go back to our place and wait on Sandman with the girls while watching t.v.. It was when 20 minutes passed that I got the text, "Show time." Alec looked over and we took the girls to Gem's. Things would be getting interesting soon enough.
Taking our bikes there we made sure to park in a blind spot as Dix had tapped into their network, "Okay guys your clear all the way to the south side. I'm erasing you as if you were never there and looping in footage from before you were there." He explained, "You're the best Dix." Alec remarked as we took a look at the tall building. "Scaling?" I asked, looking about. There wasn't another building nearby to do a tight rope walk over so scaling seemed to be the next best - "What in the - " I stopped talking as I saw his next actions.
He tied a rope end to a heavy object, and to fast for my eyes to follow, tossed it up, aiming for the roof. I sighed, "Transgenic or not Alec…" I lowered my head in agitation as the rope fell and the heavy object came hurtling back down with more than enough force to make Alec wince, "The FBI building is to TALL for even you to get a rope up there by toss alone." He near pouted before retorting, "Worth a shot."
I looked further along the wall and found a design setting along the ridge of the building. "Take a look. If we follow that grove in the design we can take a jump from each floor going up. Make it to the roof after the fifth floor." He sees my idea, "Let's do it." Just had to keep a good grip as the groves to do this with were small. To small for the normal human to work with but not small enough for our cat genes to work with. One by one we jumped up.
The first one was difficult as the first two would be two different lengths to jump between. The first one was practically two stores since the lobby was at a much higher ceiling level before it hit the actual floors. After the first two jumps it became cake as we used the same height calculations for the others. The last jump we made it to the roofs edge and pulled ourselves up, "Now to get inside." We had found out early on to not bother with any windows as they were all shut and locked. Protocol.
Finding the roofs door we picked the lock before opening it, "These guys should really update their locking mechanisms here." Alec muttered, "Or you could not say that until we get out." I reprimanded. He shrugged. "We're in aren't we?" he asked as we managed our way through the different hallways. "Exactly. So let's get what we need then get the hell out." I commanded, "He said floor five, room F245. It leads to the vault." Alec told me.
We walked along the way till we got to said room, "Dix, can you get me the code?" the room was key code locked, "Don't recall Sandman telling us about this?" Alec muttered, "The code is 58450." We both 'hummed' it as it let us in, "Let me guess the FBI guy Sandman knew?" I asked, "Yup." Dix replied through the com's. Maneuvering around the desks Alec stops me, "Camera." I look over and see it.
"Dix can you get the camera off or loop its feed in here?" I ask, "Done." He replied. We raced to the vault and with the enhanced hearing opened the seven digit combination. "Be careful on being in there guys. I'm not tapped into the vaults security system. I'd advise to try and find it first then go in." frowning I ask, "Is it pressure sensitive?" I hear an older voice, Sandman, "The file disk it's on should read 'echo-946'." We looked, enhancing our eye sights but unable to see anything. "We have to go in, some of the angles are not possible to see."
I tell them before asking again, "Is it pressure sensitive?" I hear a sigh, "The security in there is tight. There are beams inside that I can only shut down for 30 seconds and the floor is pressure sensitive." Alec and I looked to one another, "How come this information wasn't given to us earlier?!" we heard a small silence, "Would you have gone and done this if I told you?" Sandman asked, "Yes." I stated.
"How long before the door closes on the pressure sensors?" I asked, "Fifteen seconds for it to register to their computers. I can stall it for ten seconds without rousing suspicion but that's it. At that point the door closes and you're not strong enough to stop it or open it back up. At that point an alarm goes off and its bye, bye." I sigh, "As if things couldn't suck enough…okay we'll have to make the 25 seconds count." I look to Alec.
"Well make it work." prepared we make to go when Alec asks, "Why didn't we ask Otto to do this?" "Didn't answer his phone. Or text. Plus I don't think he has the clearance anymore. He only did when he and White were hunting our asses down. Now though I don't think he does. He probably got lowered back down to his original level when the hunt ended." he nodded as we blurred inside. "Twenty seconds to door lock." Dix said, "Searching…" I said, scanning through hundreds of files.
"Fifteen seconds to door lock." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as I still saw nothing. I moved around to the next section. "Ten - " I cut him off and scanned before speaking, "Count down not helping." I knew he ignored me when I heard, "Five seconds to door lock." I heard a 'Yatzee' from Alec as we both blurred outside the door. "Let's get this puppy back home before we get caught." He stated, packing the disk away on his person.
Before we could begin to blur on out we heard a guard. Alec pushed me back into the room as the guard he could see was checking all of them. "I guess it was to good to be true." Couldn't have one thing go easy for us could we? "Just see if he goes by, if not then take a few hits to knock him out. Don't want them to suspect transgenic." I whisper. The security guard was still pretty far away.
Once the guard got close enough, we waited hoping he wouldn't spot anything unusual. Alec was waiting to use force. I held my hand up seeing the guard punch in the key code and flash his light around. We hide behind support columns in the office. He lingered for a moment we could tell before clicking in on his walkie, "Fifth floor office vacant and secure." We were relieved, "Not even a mouse fart up in here." He muttered before closing the door. We waited till he was out of hearing range before moving.
Looking back out the door we saw him going down another hallway before blurring off the floor and up the stairwell. Unfortunately the door to gain access was now locked, "He must have locked it on his rounds." Alec muttered. "Can't break it without alerting anyone here." I tell him, "Use a window. Leave it unlocked. I'm sure it would be a lot more likely for someone to forget a window than for a door to be broken from the inside going out." Alec offered.
"Best option right now." I motion for him to follow me. Grabbing a major office where any one could have left a window unlatched we slowly slip out, making sure not to make a peep. Alec using his strength and cat like reflexes secures himself in place while slowly shutting the window from the outside ledge as we scaled down the wall. We took each ledge that we took to get up to let ourselves slowly fall back down. Once off the premises we drove on home, ensuring Dix wiped us from the footage.
"It's like you guys were never there." He told us proudly through the com's. "It's sort of anti-climatic." Alec tells me as we dismount the bikes back in TC's garage. "How so?" I ask, "Compared to how things could have gone, getting stuck inside, hell a brown out could have happened and we would have been screwed but nothing happened. Everything went smooth." I nodded in agreement.
"Now to get this disk to the right people." I said as he handed it to me, "We should make a copy for ourselves…just in case." he tells me, "We will. Then we'll give it to Otto. He is after all on our side and I know he knows the right people to give it to. We'll just cross reference them to the people on here to make sure it doesn't fall in the wrong hands afterwards." I explain, "Good idea." We walk to HQ and hand the disk to Dix, "Make a copy. I want to get in touch with Otto once you do so we can ensure this gets to the right people." I order.
"You got it Max." I pat his shoulder and leave HQ. "So what's the plan now?" Mole asks, "As soon as Dix makes the copy we cross reference it with Otto's known associates and give him a call. He can give it to the people that will make sure familiars aren't in power anymore." He appears happy, "Good. Then this is over with." He near asks in confirmation, "Yeah. It is. Just got to get the files to the right person and were done." He smiles, 'Sounds good."
Fifteen minutes later had me calling Otto, "Max?" he answered, "Long time no hear." I remark, "White hasn't been back to work yet so were all taking in his work load." He mutters, "He won't be." I tell him, "Is he…?" He begins, "Yeah. No other option. I promise you that." I hear a sigh, "So what's going on?" he asks. "I need one last favor from you." I finger the disk in its protective case, "What?" Looking at the phone on speaker I tell him, "I need you to get a disk to the person in charge of the CIA."
The phone sounded like it went dead. "Otto?" I asked, "Yeah, why the head?" he asked, "Cause two of your superiors are familiar followers that would destroy it. The head of the CIA is clean." I explain, "Wow…" if I could assume what he was doing it was be that he was looking around his office area right now, probably at his superiors, "Don't think to much on it or create yourself a thunderstorm around them." I advise.
"Just get the information to the head and make sure he doesn't give the information to someone else. It won't just buy you a thunderstorm it'll buy your death certificate." I warn. "Got it." He knew what I meant. If the head gave it to someone else, IE the wrong people they would go after Otto in a heartbeat and demand to know where any other copies are before killing him. "I'll meet you at the Space needle. It empty and abandon. Midnight tonight." I spoke into the phone. "I'll be there." He says.
Otto POV
"Wonder who will replace White now?" I mutter to myself. Man was dedicated to his work that was for sure. Dead wow. I see Special Agent Carter coming in. One of my superiors that was also familiar. I wonder if White knew? He had to have. Right? "Gotlieb. Here's the last of the transgenic reports. Can't believe after all of this they got their way." I nod, not wanting to get into a discussion on it. "You seen White?" he asks me, "Not recently. I know he seemed agitated but didn't really confide in me."
I want them to get that I didn't know anything. "You know White, he kept to himself. The only time he spoke more than a sentence was when he was ranting on his hate for the transgenics." I saw their smiles, "Yeah he had a major hate for that 452 and 494 I think." I nod, "That was the most he ever talked to me. Otherwise he was pretty straight forward with what he wanted and left the rest for interpretation. I just saw him being dedicated to his work." all true.
I wanted him to understand that White never blew their cover to me. Nor did he ever express himself personally to me. No reason to come after me. "Just curious." Before he left a secretary walked in, "Mr. Gotlieb, we've got reports of a building in sector 8 that was demolished just yesterday. The reports are coming in that over a dozen bodies have been found. Most of them burned up from the fire but others were crushed to death." Max is this how you – "One of the bodies that was ID'ed via dental records was Ames White."
My superior frowned, "You sure?" he asked her, "Yes. His body was thrown into the fire with the rest of the others. No survivors were found and Mr. White was burnt to a crisp." I could tell my superior was upset, "Thank you." He told her. She left out, I looked to my superior, "What happens now?" I asked him, "We kill those responsible." I frowned, "We have no clue on who that is." I retorted.
"Who else? 452 and 494." I blanched, "We have no concrete proof of any specific person." He raised his brow at me, "We need evidence to support any theory. You taught us that." He looked upset to me. "Sir." I finished. "I know it was them." He said, not willing to back down. He was right but he couldn't prove it. I had to make sure of that. I sigh internally. I have to shake them from her tail.
"Let's get the physical evidence needed that way we can arrest them. If we go and do anything without any actual evidence and only 'probable cause' it's our asses in a sling and them walking free…if they even did it." I advise. He knew I was right and walked out, "I need to get that information to the boss." I mutter to myself. If I didn't Carter could come up with a false reason to go after Max and Alec.
Max POV
It was hours later when I was at the space needle. I waited with a baited breath till I saw Otto come in. "Interesting meeting place." He commented. "I come here for solitude." I remark before giving him a copy of the disk. "Make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands." He takes it, "This is a big risk." He tells me, "I know. But I trust you." He nods and accepts the disk, "If I end up in the Seattle river take your copy and get it to the director." He advises.
"You won't." I tell him, "Thanks for this." I tell him, "You should know they've found the building you guys took down." He tells me, "It'll be weeks before they clear the rubble up and see the messed up ritualistic crap buried in it. Luckily everything we used to take it down can't be traced back to us nor the distributors." He nodded, "Good because my superior wants to arrest you. I managed to get him to let go of it till we had proof but who knows what he'll 'conjure up' as evidence."
I got what Otto was saying, "Then you better make sure the director gets that disk. To prevent such things from happening." Knowing I was advised he left, disk safely tucked away with the parting words of, "Good luck Max." "Good luck yourself." I near whispered as he left. I waited for a few minutes before leaving out myself, making sure I didn't hear or see anyone that even remotely smelled of government.
I left back for Terminal City only after I followed Otto back to his place to ensure he was okay. I didn't want anything bad to happen to him. Once back I called Krit, "Do me a favor. Keep an eye on Otto till he gets the information the head of the CIA. I don't want anything to happen to him." he responded with an okay before leaving TC for the rest of the night. It was eight a.m. when I got a text response that Otto went to work.
Krit came back with hope for us all. We waited on pins and needles for Otto's call but for the remainder of the day nothing. We began to worry when at five pm my cell blew up. Hitting answer, then speaker I spoke, "How'd it go?" "Not easy, but I guess when your exposing a 'cult' and its members it won't be." I looked up to Alec and Mole whom both entered the room "Meaning?" I asked.
"He's having a special team go over the intel, ones that have not been influenced and cannot be influenced by the suspected superiors on the disk. It's looking up. I've been told that once the intel is confirmed they'll be setting up a specialized team to co-ordinate a 'sting'. If all goes well it won't just be FBI or the CIA it'll be Interpol and a branch of the government working in concert around the world to bring in the familiars from the ranks of power that are on that list provided." I smiled.
"Everyone working there has already been pre-selected so as to avoid word getting out and the familiars from leaving the country. The ones in the other countries will be extradited to come back to the states. It's a mandating process that will help in letting the person next to those people take over without letting others get hurt. In fact the director has personally asked me that if there are any transgenics that would aid in bringing them in worldwide he'd appreciate it. I let him know of the pain receptor issue."
Otto's words inspired confidence, "IF there is any transgenics or transhumans that volunteer then that's their business. I'll put the offer out there and give them your contact information." Mole looks to be happy about that, "I'll put the word out as well. That way we can see if we can get volunteers." I smiled, "I appreciate that. Once it's done, once confirmed we'll bring everyone in safely and quietly." I nodded.
"Preventing other familiars from escaping to their holy snake lands or wherever the hell they originated from." I surmised. "Exactly." Otto responded, "Thanks for this." I tell him, "If anything its 'thank you'. Without this information who knows what would have happened. At least this way its guaranteed that the familiars out there that want to kill us all will be put down." I nodded before hearing Mole respond in the room, "Where'll the familiars be?"
Alec looked to him, "They will be taken to a place off sight and made sure to never do harm to a person ever again." polite way of saying executed. "I know they have this coming I just wish that it could be jail time." I look to Mole and Alec, "But I know how that'll go." No telling who'll escape, who will kill who or who will seek revenge on us for their downfall. "Thanks Otto." Alec said before ending the call.
I knew Alec was right. We waited another few hours then got the text to confirm from Otto that the sting would commence. The intel was solid and they would be moving soon. State by state first thing tomorrow morning then the rest of the world after that. I went to the center of HQ and called for everyone's attention, "Listen up, spread this word…" people gathered around, "The FBI, CIA, and other major government types are going to be co-ordinating a strike against all the familiars that want to eradicate us and them." Many cheers in the area.
"I'm leaving this contact information here as the director to the CIA is stating that any transhuman or transgenic that wants to volunteer to aid them in taking the familiars out will be grateful and appreciated. Volunteer only. If you don't want to its understandable. If you so choose to that's your decision to make. We just need to know to so we can re-route current job duties until such time as those volunteers return. Let us know by the end of tonight as the sting will leave the country tomorrow morning."
Many people were in contemplation over what to do as I left Otto's information on the wall in HQ before leaving out. "You know what…?" Alec began, "What?" I asked as he threw an arm around my shoulder, pulling me close to him, "We need a vacation." I laughed, "With or without the girls?" I asked. "I love our baby girls Maxie but we could use some down time for just us. We'll use the first week for us then the second week we come back and take the girls to Disneyland or something."
I grinned at that, "Excellent." Throughout the evening and into the night we had an odd amount of X5 and transhumans actually volunteer. We spent the next few days after they left re-routing their duties so they could go. The only other thing we asked for was to send us a coding back via beepers with memorized codes that they were fine and not being bartered or used for anything else. If they were, we could send a rescue team.
So far nothing. It seemed as if the government was actually keeping its word and doing right by everyone involved. I looked up to see Alec leaning against the door of my office, "Yeah?" I asked. He held up two tickets and two sector passes, "Are those…?" I asked. "Yup. Two tickets to Honolulu beach resort and two sector passes. Not just any, class one VIP – 'no questions need to be asked' sector passes." I smiled brightly as I left the paperwork, my desk and jumped into his arms.
He thankfully had swung the door closed before I got to him. "Thought you and I could use a real vacation." he whispered. I pulled back and unwrapped my hips from his waist having him set me down. "Where'd you get the money?" I asked. "I've been saving up for a while now. I been wanting to do this for ages now. So I've been saving and waited till it was the right timing to purchase the tickets." I giggled in glee.
"This also means that unless its life or death we are not returning back to Seattle or going to do some mission for anyone. Cece and Daniel will be in charge, and Syl and Krit as their SIC's till we return. For one whole week you and I will be having actual fun and for the record, I don't plan for us to leave our hotel room for several days." I knew his little gleam, "I second that notion." I kissed him in agreement. "Start packing we leave at dawn." He said.
Twenty four hours later found us both miles away from anything. On a sandy beach with our own little private cabin. There were two towels laying on the sand and an umbrella for shade as we started making love for the who knew how many times since we'd gotten here. We probably had sand in unmentionable places but we didn't care. As he caressed my lower lips with his tongue and ate me out I could only moan in bliss.
Both nude as the day we were born I felt myself reach that peak once more. We both at this point were sticky and sweaty and had sand sticking to certain body parts but didn't want to leave one another long enough to wash up or care. As I came down from my high I felt Alec crawl over me and give me a deep loving kiss. I tasted myself on his lips as he spread my legs further for his entry. I smiled in a knowing motion as I knew he was debating on a condom or not when I pulled the hidden piece of plastic, now covered in sand.
He saw the plus sign clear as day then looked to me in wonder, "How - " I kissed him, "I took it when you were unloading as I was using the bathroom. I had this feeling on the plane. I just knew." He smiled then tossed the condom. "No need for that then huh?" he smirked then prepared for entry as his length slid like butter into my smooth tight depths. I gasped and grasped at his forearms as he began moving inside.
Alec POV
I couldn't believe it. We were pregnant again. As much as I wanted to figure out when so I could try to know why I didn't sense it before I could only think about the feeling of being deep inside of her. Her hot, wet walls were suctioning me in like velvet before releasing only for her to pull me back in. I couldn't help but loose more control as I thought about my seed now creating life within her.
Fuck everything else I was an alpha male with his pregnant alpha female. And we were doing a dance as old as time and creation. I speed up my rhythm and lengthened my strokes as she clutched me harder, begging for me. Her head tossing back and forth, crying out for me to let her come. It was a huge turn on and had me growling in righteous lust and love. I grasped onto her shoulders and when her head stayed in one place for longer than two seconds, smashed our lips together and drove my tongue inside.
We needed this. I felt her legs wrap around my waist as her walls began to contract around me, "Max!" I shouted, barely keeping in control long enough to feel her muscles undulate around me as she screamed my name. No one to hear her cries of pleasure but me. I drank in her screams and slammed into her once more before moving completely out. I saw her begging for my return even as she kept convulsing.
Turning her over I angled her just right for me to slip into her from behind. Her lips below I could feel were swollen and begging for me to finish her off. One orgasm would not do. Finding her opening once more I pull her legs apart and slam my girth into her. She screams once more as I begin a rhythm that calls out to the animal in both of us. I roar as I slap her ass. Her muscles clenching harder as I push deeper into her. "Yes!" I growl. I slap her other cheek as she cries out for me to complete her.
I look up and see the sky, its bright and shinning down on us. Then I look down at her. Her beautiful skin, her long now slightly wavy dark hair, even her Manticore barcode is visible, but its us here. No one or nothing else. She's perfect. And all mine. "Mine!" it's a deep reverberating growl that has an answering, "Yours!" screamed form her lips as I speed up even more. My hips becoming a blur as I seek to have full contact with her.
Max POV
I feel Alec lay his body against my own burning his teeth into the back of my neck as his hips plunge his hard and hot cock deeper into me. Every time I think I'm going to come he retreats then plunges back in giving me more, making me want more. I feel his length reach a new depth as he begins to blur. I feel it. I love it. I can't even grasp onto his butt to encourage more cause I have no more strength. I'm being wiped out.
I cry out as another orgasm rips through me. I clench with everything I have. I feel my hair being pulled away as he sinks his teeth into my neck. Over my barcode. A symbolic gesture of me being his, not theirs. I smile as I feel him slam himself hard into me. Once. He loses his rhythm inside of me. Twice…my muscles tighten in response. Three times…..his breathing breaks and he shakes uncontrollably over my form. I feel him coming in strong waves as he twists his hips, the movement hurling us both towards another orgasm.
I have no control over my body now, its his. As his is mine. He holds me tightly to him body, head to toe, our bodies touch as he grinds his nearly to thick of a cock inside of my walls creating such an intense orgasm I swore I forgot where we were or who we were. I feel myself come a third – or was a fourth - and final time as my muscles once more take his seed from him and let it lay in my womb.
He roars in pleasure. I feel like I'll go deaf but then I yell in perfect bliss. I wonder if his ears will ring from it. It takes us longer than normal to settle from those intense orgasms. I know it was our animal DNA calling to one another now that were pregnant but it didn't matter. Cuase it wasn't heat induced, it was 'us' induced. This wasn't Manticore, it wasn't any other outside forces. It was us. Me and Alec. The animal side is a part of everybody, we just have more of a kick of it.
Its later on when I write a letter to the girls, something to tell them on how things came to be for them to have a good life. To have a normal life. I don't know if Alec and I will be here when they are our ages I just know that right now we worked hard to give them a future to grow and not be afraid of what they are. Isn't that what we all want? To be who we are as individuals? To not fear others just because they don't understand?
No matter the deity a person follows, people don't have the right to judge others. Only that deity can. I want our daughters to know the truth of this. I sit down in just a bath suit now as Alec and I are in our second week. He plays with the girls near the pool at Disneyland. I write the letter smiling at the amazing sight he makes with our girls. He's such a loving father. It brings tears to my eyes. I never thought we'd make it here but we did.
I watch the girls get dried off as I hear Alec mention something about going for lunch. I put the letter away and pull on the pool dress I have as we grab our things and walk the girls to the restaurant. "You done with your letter yet?" He asks me. I look up to him. "It needs one more thing." he looks down to me, "Its needs your touch." Once we eat and go on some more kiddy rides that the girls scream in laughter at we go back to the hotel for them to take a nap. I give the letter to Alec.
Dear girls,
I know that by the time you read this you will be grown girls, making your own decisions and probably making trouble for your father and me. But I wanted you to know how we got to this point. Your father and I met as breeding partners. It was twisted, but he annoyed and earned a place in my heart. I didn't know when but he did and I love him for it. We've gone through mess after mess, trial after trial, dealt with good people, people who wanted to kill us, and all around had a hell of a life.
We were made by a secret unit of the government and created in a lab, but it didn't stop us from being human. From loving, from fighting for our right to be free and live normal human lives. We fought the war and won it. We wanted a place to call our home. We wanted our kids, you, to have a place to call home. To love freely and not feel repressed for who or what you are. Your father taught me to be proud of who I am. I taught him to stay out of trouble and we both learned to not be so cut off.
In the end we somehow went from good friends to mates, and for our kind that's married for life. I love him. I love you girls. I love my friends and family. I struggled as a child not only in Manticore but on the streets once I escaped. I grew up, fought the good fight with everyone else and got a life with them to. Now its your turn to write your own paths through history. We started the story. You're the new chapter.
And I guess this is where I your dad talks….Not very good at this expressing yourself thing but I will say this. I love you girls, I love your mother with all of my heart. Even though it ticked me off at first I'm glad she burnt down Manticore. It gave me a chance to see things from a new light. I have her to thank for that. Now since you are our kids I have no doubt that you've grown to be beautiful young women. Which means I've probably beaten the crap out of a couple guys by now.
All in all you all are my world. You two and your mother. Manticore always taught us that family was a liability. They were wrong. It just made us stronger, gave us more of a will to fight and fight we did. Now as I look back at it, I can't believe we fought so hard. We gained and lost so much but it kind of evened out in the end. And now your mother is taking back the letter, I guess she wants to put one last thing in here.
Awe so sweet of your father but he is right I have one last parting piece to say. Don't ever stop being proud of your heritage. You both will be strong, smart, beautiful women. Leaders. Sisters for life. Don't ever let anything get in the way of that. In fact as I write this I carry either your little brother or sister in me. Treat them well to and I hope all of you are good to one another, that we instilled that into you.
As I put this letter away I'll think on how things came to pass with our last trial, how we beat the familiars, how the government needed us. We were always needed but never wanted. But we still fought hard and gained respect. We've come to realize that freedom is great, but what we get to do with it is better. I better leave off now so I can tuck you munchkins into bed. Still so young you both are right now. I love you. Stay strong and true to who you are.
Love always,
Mom and dad
15 years later
Author POV
Two twinned sixteen year old girls, beautiful and looking like a perfect combination of their parents help their father still as ruggedly handsome as ever, work on a 70 charger. "Hand me the socket wrench." He asks of Nikita. "Here." She pops gum in her mouth as her twin reads the vehicles motor manual. "Gotta love photographic memory." She closes the booklet up. Alec grins and gives her a random car question that she blanches at but answers with ease, "Good." He grins.
Getting out from under the car he wipes the dirt from his brow and looks around at TC on how its changed over the last 15 years. Much greener thanks to a lot of work and a lot of new houses to. The community having expanded with ease over the years. It was the sounds of a young boy, age coming in at 14 in the next few hours if he knew his math from the delivery time frame. His son Cody. Currently being chased from the kitchen by Original Cindy and Max. "I told him not to try and touch the cake before it was done." Nikita sighed.
She looked up from the tool set she was currently working with and saw him trying to blur away only to get caught and hauled up by the collar of his shirt by their mother. "What have I told you?!" they heard Max yell. She walked him over by his ear to them as he winced in pain, "Come on mom! It was just a little bit!" he whined, "You sound like your father." she stated dryly. Letting him go she huffed.
Max and Alec hardly looked aged. At nearly 40 the two didn't look beyond 30. Good genes they always responded. Max herself still looked like a sex bomb. They both still wore their customary jeans and shirts. The fashioned matured somewhat over the years but otherwise they could, would and still did kick serious ass in how they looked. Not to mention they still kick ass period, they never let up on protecting their people.
In 15 years Max gained recognition and support as the governess for transgenics and transhumans. They even gained her name on a plaque at city hall. Alec's was right next to hers. He himself gained a few new business deals that landed Seattle more developmental funds that finally placed them back as the city of the future. Their twin's girls were as smart as anything and strong as could be.
Even if Alec was dreading their high school dance coming up. Their good looks garnered them a lot of attention and him a lot of stress over whose ass to kick if they tried something. But he knew in the end that they could handle themselves. He and Max taught them as much. "Keep an eye on him." Max ordered. If it was one thing the girls nor Cody NEVER fully tested their mother. It was learned early on not to try her.
However Alec was a softy of a father. Though try to be the guy dating his daughters and he was your worst nightmare. "Come on Cody. Work on the car with your sisters and me." Alec pulled him in. Cody while he enjoyed cars was more of a tech geek thanks to hanging with Dix and Luke growing up. He spent his free childhood time in HQ. The girls spent it with motorcycles and old cars. But his father insisted he know something to aid him, "Okay." Cody responded as Alec taught him a few things he taught the girls already.
Max watched from the kitchen area. They had moved into a new apartment, well house that they had built for the more 'fuller families' to live in. Once the last of the buildings had been converted that is. She and OC had just finished off the icing for the cake when her blur of a son had snuck a taste. She made him regret it. "So how does it feel?" OC asked. Her girlfriend making the icing for the cake.
"What do you mean?" Max asked, "The family life. Now you're making a cake for your son's birthday." Max smiled, "It's not like things have changed that much. We still go out and kick the ass of bad guys. We still work to protect Terminal City. I'd say things have evolved but are still the same in many respects." OC looked to her, "Sugar you made everything work. You and Alec are a team. You and your boy." Max looked at Alec as he proudly taught their kids. "Your right, we did make it work."
She turned back to the cake as Joshua walked in with his latest creation. "Gift for nephew." A painting of his rendition of Cody. "Looks a bit like the one of Alec." Max remarked, "Cody is Alec's coulda – woulda – shoulda." Max and OC laughed not getting it. He smiled, "If Alec could have he would have lead a life the way Cody is. But he is still happy that he can give Cody what he didn't." Max smiled, "Its beautiful."
Soon Mole, Cece, Krit, and everyone else close to the couple came in to celebrate. Even Alice, Cece and Daniel's daughter. Her ever present shyness earning her a peak form behind her father as she looked over at the birthday boy. Max could already see things happening for them, "I'll let everyone know when its time for cake. Till then unless you plan on helping out of my kitchen." Many people left to go out where Alec and the kids were.
It was hours later when Nikita and her sister were walking and conversing with their brother when they rummaged through the box that that their mother was asking for. In the room the box on it fell over spilling it contents everywhere including the letter. The twin girls opened it and read everything. Cody came in behind them and began reading to. They hadn't been given all the information on the adventures that their parents had but reading the letter gave them an insight to what had happened.
"Wow." it was all that could be said. "Let's put this away before mom comes up. She's been looking off for a minute lately." Cody responded. The girls had a brief idea on what it could be but didn't voice it. Their mothers last heat a month ago had been an eye opener to say the least as they had decided to take Cody with them to their neighbors for the next two days. Thankfully by now Max and Alec could cover their scents in the house to avoid their kids smelling anything. It didn't mean that things didn't get replaced still.
As it was Max had figured out what was going on but waited until the kids were all away for the sleep over at Cece and Daniel's place before telling Alec. She'd been wearing perfume the last few weeks to disgust the scent change. She wanted it to be a surprise. "Hey baby?" she called to him, "Yup." He sat down on the couch next to her, glad that the party was over with he had been trying to figure out why she hadn't put the perfume he smelled on her recently this afternoon. He liked it but preferred her own scent…or his on her.
"How do you feel about another set of feet running around here?" She asked. He looked to her, the beer stopped from hitting his lips. Just to confirm his thoughts he took a big inhale and smelled it clear as day. "How long?" he demanded, suddenly glad of the sleep over their kids were at. "A month, I was waiting for now to tell you since we'd have the weekend to celebrate. We wouldn't have managed to with the weeks prior." He smiled and saw how she thought this through.
There was no need to confirm or question it. The scent of her told him enough of the truth of the news. She was pregnant. They just made sure to be careful for the next several years to avoid pregnancy. With the kids there it was pretty easy. Her last heat though had been like a tsunami and took over them both. Without another word he stood from couch, beer long forgotten on the coffee table and picked her up bridal style. "Then I think it's time for us to celebrate." He carried her laughing form into their bedroom.
The end
