"Did you hear something?" Scully asked downstairs. She had been trying to make some conversation with the stranger, but had not gotten more than some nods or one-word replies out of her. However, when she thought she heard a thud upstairs followed by a small scream of sorts, she got suspicious. Acting on intuition, she excused herself from her company to go up to check what it was. The woman followed close behind with a newly lit cigarette in her hand, shouting that everything was fine and that it was probably nothing. It was clear that she did not want the intruders to sneak around in her house.

When Scully reached the top of the stairs, she was shocked at what she was seeing. Emily lay unconscious on the floor with a woman standing behind her, holding some sort of small antic clock in her hand. Scully hurried to get to Emily. With panic in her eyes, she tried to wave her fingers through the long black hair before her, to look for any kind of wounds or blood. Finding none, she quickly turned Emily over, checking for a pulse or any signs of damage done to her.

"What the hell is going on?!" she screamed, looking up at the new face holding the clock. She did not look as old as the blonde woman did, her skin was darker and with freckles, her hair big, long and curly.

"Margie, what have you done?!" the blonde woman said in a frustrated tone.

"She was sneaking around, what was I supposed to do?" the younger woman, Margie, apparently, was saying angrily in return. Scully did not pay much attention though; her focus was solely on Emily.

"Honey, please wake up." She whispered to her. "I need you to wake up, please wake up." She was pleading, shaking her lightly. She tried to open her eyes, but she didn't have any light to see if her pupils would respond.

"She was about to go into the room." Margie insisted, not lowering her voice.

"So you thought you would knock her out?" the blonde woman was getting impatient by now, clearing not wanting to handle this kind of drama.

"She's not responding; I need to call an ambulance." Scully interjected, looking pleadingly to the blonde woman. The woman looked to Margie with panic in her eyes now, before nodding to her. The last thing Scully remembered was trying to turn her head around to look at Margie, before everything went black.

"Dana can you hear me?" a well-known voice asked in a distance. She was not exactly sure where to place the voice though. "Dana?" Scully tried to shake her head and open her eyes, but quickly regretted the move when she was met with a searing pain in her head and bright light blinding her.

"God that hurts!" she said, finally finding her hand to try to help her up to a sitting position. Her body was not that strong though, and she gently leaned back down on something soft. Then she heard a small chuckle. She knew that voice. It was Emily. Finding the strength to open her eyes once more, she was meet by the radiant smile that was Emily Prentiss, hovering over her. Then she realized that she was lying with her head in Emily's lap. Suddenly she lost her desire to get up, instead burying her head against Emily's stomach for a second, an arm coming down to hold her closer. Emily leaned down to place a gentle kiss on silky red locks.

"Where are we?" Scully asked.

"I'm not sure. Some sort of basement I think." Then suddenly everything rushed back to Scully and she was quick to get up on her knees despite the pain searing through her head and body.

"You were hit in the head." Scully said softly, remembering seeing Emily lying on the ground. "Are you okay?" she asked with great concern, her hands going to Emily's head to continue her previous attempts at locating any signs of damage. Emily put a gentle hand below her chin though, guiding her gaze back to Emily's dark orbs.

"Dana, I'm fine." She said reassuringly. "Despite what may or may not evolve into a minor migraine." She chuckled. Upon hearing that, Dana could not help herself as she leapt forward and pulled Emily's lips down to hers in a searing kiss.

"God you scared me, Emily." She said as they pulled apart. "We need to figure out how to get out of this place and to get in touch with others."

"They already know we're here, it shouldn't take too long for them to figure out something is wrong. I'm not sure if there's any way we can get out for now. I don't think this was a part of their plan." Emily explained as she pulled Scully up in a sitting positing. Scully was just about to ask some more questions, when they were interrupted by the sound of multiple footsteps on the stairs. Instead, she turned to Emily and placed a finger to her lips, even though the brunette had gone just as quiet as she had.

"I don't understand why we just don't kill them?" The voice was unknown.

"Come on, Sandra, you don't think the whole situation upstairs was enough? Do you really want this blood on your hands?" The hoarseness of the voice indicated that it was the woman from earlier, who had come to greet the, upon their arrival at the house. While Scully listened concentrated on, Emily's eyes began looking around once more, looking for something that might help them.

"It's not my fault she was pushed! Florence has always been weak; I don't know how she has even survived this long. And why is it you always get to decide everything?" Sandra replied.

"Hey! Have some respect!" a third voice, Margie, the girl who had hit them, interjected. "She could have kicked your sorry ass out years ago, but she took care of you anyway!" she sneered, getting closer to Sandra.

"Please, sisters, don't fight, we have more important things to worry about. Such as what the hell to do with these two."

Now, all three of them stepped closer to room where Scully and Prentiss was sitting and paying close attention to the interaction before them, hoping to learn something that could help them get out of this mess.

"Please, we didn't mean any harm. We were just trying to be neighborly, nothing more. You have no reason to hold us locked up." Emily said calmly, trying to take control of the situation.

"Well, that's a bit too late now, don't you think?" Margie said.

"You're lucky if you get out alive!" Sandra followed, making the blonde woman from earlier roll her eyes and push Sandra away in order to step into the front.

"Look, we have no interest in harming more people than necessary, but we just can't have you running off to the police as soon as we open this little door." She said.

"And tell them what exactly?!" Scully asked in an almost aggressive tone. "Neither I nor my fiancée saw anything of whatever it is that your obviously hiding from everybody else. We just came here with the sole purpose of being neighborly and this is the thanks we get! Being knocked out and locked away." The blonde woman looked suspiciously at her but didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry if my fiancée is being too forward, but we've had a long day and would love nothing more than to return to our home again, right honey?" Emily was speaking now, looking at Scully, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "I'm sure there must be something we can figure out." Her gaze returned to their capturers.

"I seriously can't deal with this right now. We should be with Florence, our sister, now that she's hurt." Margie said to the two other women, turning away from Prentiss and Scully.

"What's wrong with her?" Scully asked, regaining everybody's attention. For a while they just stood there, staring at her, none of them planning to answer this intruder. "Look, I'm a medical doctor; I might be able to help." Her tone was firm and honest.

The women looked at each other, contemplating the situation, when the older woman decided to make a decision. "What do you want?" she asked, looking harshly at Scully.

"Come on, you can't seriously think about making a deal with them!" Sandra exclaimed in disbelief.

"What other choice do we have! Florence isn't getting any better on her own, this might be a solution." The older woman looked down on Sandra, before returning to Scully. "Well, answer the question!"

Emily looked insecurely over at Scully, wondering how good of an idea it was to get more involved than already. She didn't know or trust these people and the last thing she wanted was for Dana to get hurt in any way. On the other hand, she knew it wouldn't be a good idea to intervene if Scully was able to work this thing out.

"If I help you, you let us go. We have no interest in going to the police or anybody else, we just want to go back home." Scully said.

"Alright, but we're keeping your little girlfriend as hostage until Florence is better." Sandra said, before the dirty blonde woman was able to make some other form of dumb deal that would set these intruders on the loose. The other women looked to Sandra, but no one disagreed. Scully on the other hand, felt her heart begin to raise as she looked over at Emily. She had only known this woman for a few days, she didn't know how of if she could handle this situation, and she cared all too much for wanting to find out. This was not how it was supposed to go down. On the other hand, she wondered what she had really expected; making deals with an assumed murdering cult. Emily and she would just be another notch in the belt for them. Emily quickly sensed the horror in Scully and leaned over so her forehead was pressed against the side of head, her breathing close to Dana's ear.

"It's going to be okay." She whispered soothingly. "I know you don't like it, but this might be our only chance. I promise you that I am stronger than that and that I trust you completely." The statement made Dana's heart drop just a tiny bit. What if she couldn't save Emily? "Listen to me, I trust you. I know you will be back to get me. I can take it. Trust me." Dana quickly moved her head to capture Emily's lips in a hard kiss, trying to tell her everything her words could not.

"I will be back to get you. That's a promise. Nothing is going to happen to you. Please, be careful. I'll be right back. I promise. I will be back." With that, Scully rose from her position on the ground alongside with Emily; ready to face whatever it was that she needed to handle.

The older woman stepped forward to unlock the door and let Scully get out of there, while Sandra moved to get inside the room next to Emily.

"Promise me you'll take care of her." Dana stated. Margie and the blonde woman seemed to look sympathetic to her, but Sandra just smirked at her, before placing a knee in Emily's stomach.

"HEY!" Scully cried out, trying to launch forward to Emily, only to feel herself being restrain by the two other woman, grabbing each of her arms.

"Ups." Sandra replied. "I guess my knee slipped." She chuckled to herself.

"Enough fun." Margie said, turning to Sandra. "We have to go take care of Florence instead of messing around here, unless you wish that they have to go to the cops once they get out." Sandra seemed to step a bit down after that.

"Lauren…" Dana said, looking to the slightly slumped over woman in front of her. She desperately wanted to call out for Emily, blow their cover and get the hell out of there, but she knew that would be impossible and would only get them in more trouble, if they figured out that they were agents.

"Chris, I'm going to be fine, I promise." Emily looked up to look reassuringly into Dana's eyes one last time, before they took her away and lead her to the stairs of the basement, not to be seen.
