Chapter Eleven

Mood Swings

After being kicked out of the twins quarters, I had nothing else to do. I began wandering around looking for something to occupy my time. I had just walked past a group of humans when something caught my eye. In the corner of the corridor stood a, and where the door meets the frame, there was a something small curled up and whimpering softly. I walked closer and bent down to investigate, slowing my movements when whatever it was started whimpering louder.

"Hey there little fella, what's the matter?" I cooed and shuffled closer. The tiny robot, as that's what it turned out to be, uncurled itself and stared straight at me. I was very careful not to scare it and smiled softly, hopefully telling him or her that I wasn't going to hurt it.

"What do you want?" He snarled at me, getting up and balancing on it's wheel. "Come to laugh at Wheelie like the other bots?"

I was taken aback and moved away a little. "No. I promise I'm not going to laugh at you. I've only just met you." I soothed him, feeling uncomfortable with the way he was glaring at me with his red eyes. Hang on, red eyes? I narrowed my own and backed away a little, he seemed to notice this and deflate a little.

"You're not scared of me are you?" He asked quietly, his tone then changed, demanding me to listen. "I've changed, I swear it! Switched sides and all that, I'm an Autobot now, just like you."

I felt sorry for the little thing and hummed in respond. "I believe you." I knelt down next to him again and stroked his head, feeling extremely amused at the purr like noise that left his throat. "Oh yeah, right there. That's the spot." I laughed and picked him up.

"Would you like to come with me?" I asked, not having any particular destination in mind, just knowing that this little bot was going to keep me amused and that was worth more to me than anything else at the moment.

"Where we going?" He asked, staring up at me. The red eyes softening.

"Dunno." I shrugged, putting him on my shoulder and walking around the corner. I ducked under a low hanging wire making sure to push it up a bit as to make it easier for other robots to avoid getting caught on it. "Shall we go outside?"

Wheelie obviously didn't mind and so we went outside to get a bit of fresh air. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, feeling extremely disgruntled because there was nothing to do. "Hey, what's going on over there?" Wheelie asked, turning too quickly and gasping before hanging onto my face plates. I sniffled as well as I could with a metal face before looking in the direction he was pointing to.

It was the twins. They seemed to be having an argument that I didn't want to listen to and didn't want to witness, so I turned around. "Hey, hey! No, where you going? Come on, I haven't had any fun in this place yet so let's go have a look." I eyed him, before sighing.

"Okay." I reluctantly agreed, only because he was so sad earlier, all I wanted to do was cheer him up. We moved closer, I tried to be as discreet as possible, not wanting Sunstreaker to get angry at me again. I knew as soon as he saw me I would be in trouble.

Was it really worth the risk. I glanced at Wheelie and knew the answer to that. No, it was not. I decided to be safe and took him off my shoulder and let him wander closer. He seemed to pout at me before rolling away.

I watched him roll closer and winced when the twins stopped shouting at each other and watched him approach. Wheelie seemed to know he was in trouble because he froze and started playing some rock music, wheeling backwards towards me. He scampered towards me as soon as he was close enough and I picked him back up.

The twins were watching me now, I knew this was bad, Sunstreakers eyes were on me and it made me want to run away. So that's what I did. I booked it out of there, running quickly back into the base, not wanting to be thrown around again or shouted at. I chanced a glance behind me and saw him stalking towards me. Sideswipe wasn't doing anything to stop him and I knew that they both thought I was trying to spy on them.

I scowled down at Wheelie who was looking up at me, scared now he saw the angry looks on the bigger bots faces. "Now look what you've done." I hissed, ducking behind a truck and hoping that I was going to be okay. "He's gonna kill me." I whimpered, leaning my body against the wall and the truck, squeezing myself in so that nothing else could get in and get me.

"Yeah, probably. Did you see his face? I'm surprised he didn't start shooting at you."

"Thanks." I glared down at the little bot, keeping him close to me for comfort that he wasn't giving me. "Shut up would you, he's gonna hear us."

"Hear what?" I jumped up and backed against the wall. Sunstreaker was standing in front of me hands crossed over his chest and glaring at me.

"About how Wheelie was trying to get a stick and you chased him away."

HE didn't buy it, raising an optic brow and sneering. "Your attempt to eavesdrop was pathetic." He said, easing his way through the gap. I gulped.

"I wasn't trying to eavesdrop." I regained some courage when I saw he got stuck. "And besides, you and your brother were shouting at each other, I was just walking around and I could hear you. Maybe you should try and be quieter if you didn't want other people to hear." I regretted saying it immediately as his face darkened and he actually pushed the truck away from us, it went skidding across the room.

We were very lucky that there were no humans in the room at the moment because one of them would have surely gotten hit. I gulped and backed away from his rapidly approaching form.

"We in trouble now." Wheelie spoke, huddling further into my armour which I was now extremely thankful for.

"Yes, you are." Sunstreaker growled, coming closer and grabbing my wrist, hauling me out of my pathetic non-existent hiding spot. "Get rid of that first." He flicked Wheelie off my shoulder, ignoring his squeal before pulling me behind him. I couldn't breathe all of a sudden and tried my best to pull away. If I'd have known that this would have happened when I let Wheelie go over I would have ran in the opposite direction, like I was trying to do now but Sunstreaker wasn't letting go.

He grunted at me before pulling me into a spare room. He pushed some giant cabinets in front of the door before turning to me.

"I didn't do anything." I immediately said, feeling very defensive and slightly scared.

He raised a brow again before snorting. "You know what, for some reason I don't believe you."

"You just want a reason to shout at me. You don't like me for some reason and I want to know why!" This was it, this was how I died. Pure stupidity.

He snorted again, seemingly having turned into a pig. "I don't like you, you're right. You're nothing but a spoilt little princess who likes having things done for her. Just because you're the only femme doesn't make you anything special so stop trying to get everyone's attention because guess what, no one cares." I didn't want to listen to what he was saying to me, but my optics started watering without my permission.

I sniffled. "If I'm not any of that, then why are you taking your precious time to tell me it." I spat.

He froze, before sighing, the wind having been blown out of his sales. He scratched his chin. "You're right. I shouldn't be saying things like this."

There was a clatter on the other side of the doors before a curse was heard. "Who the frag has blocked the door!" Ironhide shouted.

Sunstreaker rubbed his hand over his face, before looking at me. The guilt on his face was obvious. "I didn't mean it." He admitted.

I pretended I didn't hear him, trying my best to keep the liquid from leaving my eyes.

"Terra?" He prodded me gently in the side and I turned to face him, feeling miserable.

"If you didn't mean it, why did you say it?" I asked, lips trembling.

He placed a hand on my cheek, ignoring the slight flinch I couldn't stop. "I didn't mean it." He repeated. "You're getting too close." He admitted.

I tilted my head in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Open the fraggin' door." Ironhide roared, clearly pushing hard on the door as the cabinets were soon shifted and his heaving, giant figure was seen where the door had just been. "Thank you."

AN: Just before anyone reviews saying Sunstreaker was being harsh, it's all building up for the next couple of chapters where everything will be revealed.
