I wish to see you
Summary: Ed force cuddles a man in a chicken costume.

Eddward walked alone in the cold crisp morning air. He was unable to find Ed and Eddy and figured they had left without him. Not that he could blame them. Eddward had ignored them since Friday morning. Even if he had just suffered a great tragedy Eddward knew that was no reason to be rude to his companions.
"But Eddy!" A voice rang out piercing the silence of the morning. The voice was one Eddward recognised and the sock head began to follow the commotion. Eddward's tongue had found its way to his gap as he nervously approached the racket that had infiltrated the morning ambience.
"PUT HIM DOWN LUG HEAD!" Eddy demanded pointing to the ground. The person he was talking to didn't seem to want to listen and instead held the object in his arms tighter. Eddward let his eyes adjust to the scene folding out before him. A sigh escaped the dark haired teens throat as he realized the object was actually a man in a chicken suit and the person none other than Ed.
"It's my chicken Eddy!" Eddy slapped his face in frustration as a growl escaped.
"He..." Eddy began as he pointed to the man fighting for his life snuggled in Ed's arms. "IS NOT A CHICKEN!" Ed gave Eddy a confused look and began to think to himself. A smiled made it's way to Eddy's slightly chubby face. Eddy had finally gotten to Ed.
"It's my chicken Eddy!" The large teen shouted with a pout on his face. Eddy balled his fists and considered hitting the large teen. Eddward could sense the hostility radiating off of Eddy and stepped out making his presence known.
"Now, Ed." The sock head began with a blush when both Ed, Eddy, and the man in the suit looked to him. "If you hug him any tighter he will burst. You don't want to hurt the chicken do you?" Eddward's voice was calm and collect and Ed seemed to relax immediately. A soft sweet smile etched itself on Eddward's plump lips and the teen placed a reassuring hand on Ed's broad shoulder.
"Chickens don't like to be held Ed. If you want him to be happy you have to put him down."
Eddy stared in awe as he watched the large teen put the man down. The man once on the ground ran for the safety of the restaurant he was working in. Eddward pat Ed on the head and smiled.
"Sorry Double D." Ed said pouting and wrapping his arms around Eddward. the sock head returned the hug.
"It's okay Ed. Just be more careful next time." The sock head pulled away and looked to Eddy. Both teens began to fidget uncertain of what to say or do. Finally Eddward broke the silence arms still clutching Ed's forearms. "Hello Eddy."
"Hey sockhead." A soft grin decorated Eddy's face. "Shovel chins treating you good right?"
Eddward let the breath he didn't realize he was holding escape. A soft smile lighting up his face.
"He is being surprisingly understanding and kind." Eddward said as he motioned for them to continue their journey. "He even rescued me from Max." the sock head added with whisper. Eddy raised a brow and looked to his sock clad companion.
"Max is a dick." Eddward shot the brown haired teen a disapproving scowl. Eddy smirked in response to the look he had grown accustomed to over the years. "What? Max is a dick." the blue eyed teen decided to let the language go. A sigh left Eddward's lips and he keep his eyes on the ground watching his feet take steps as he listened to Ed hum.
"Eddy...I owe you and Ed a sincere apology." Eddy visibly jumped. It had been surprisingly quiet without Eddward and he hadn't expected the small teen to talk so soon. Eddy let a chuckle out as he smiled to his friend.
"Sockhead, you have nothing to be sorry about." Eddward looked at Eddy with awe. The sock clad teen hadn't noticed how much Eddy had grown up. Tears began to form in his eyes and he couldn't stop them from falling down his cheek. A warm protective arm wrapped around Eddward's shoulders. The dark haired teen placed his head on Eddy's shoulder.
"Eddy, when did you grow taller then me?" Eddward asked struggling to match Eddy's stride. Eddy laughed releasing his grip on his walking companion. "You just stopped growing." The teen stated matter of factly. Eddward glared causing Ed to stop his hum.
"Eddy is naughty." Ed declared loudly causing both eddy and eddward to burst out in laughter. Eddward smiled happily at Eddy who returned the smile.
"Yes Ed, Eddy is naughty." Eddward was genuinely happy as the three teens walked to school chatting and laughing the remainder of the trip.
Kevin smiled as he watched Eddward laugh with Eddy at lunch. for a moment everything felt somewhat normal again. The redhead keep his eyes glued to the smaller raven teen as he half heartedly listened to Rolf and Nazz talk about their biology project. A laughed echoed out of his throat as he watched Eddward give Ed a horrified look as the large teen drank a cup of gravy.
"You found something that worked?" Nazz's voice ripped Kevin's thoughts away but not his wondering eyes. Kevin sighed as his thoughts gathered. He has almost forgot why he was watching the sock clad teen.
"I guess. It's a process, but getting him back with the Ed's seemed to help his….Spirits?" Kevin let his eyes land on Nazz. The blond smiled sweetly as she too watched Eddward. Kevin didn't dare talk about the cuddling. It wasn't even about her judging or being upset. that just wasn't Nazz. But for whatever reason he wanted to keep that between him and Eddward. Something that they could share. the redhead's eyes went back to the sock clad teen. Eddward was on his phone. A delicate hand held up quieting a disgruntled Ed. The Raven haired boys face distorted into a sullen look. The boy smiled and said his goodbyes to whoever was on the phone before putting the device away. He let his blue orbs scan the room until they fell on Kevin. The small teen turned and excused himself to Eddy before making his way to Kevin.
"It seems the smart Ed boys is coming over." Rolf said out loud to no one in particular and within seconds of the words leaving his mouth Eddward was at their table. The small teen stared awkwardly while fiddling with his bag.
"Hi Double D." Nazz said with a smile. Eddward looked up from the floor and smiled back with a small wave.
"Salutations Nazz, Rolf, and Kevin." Eddward looked anywhere but at the teens. "Uhm, Kevin?" Kevin let his brow rise and a soft smiled decorated his face. "I'm sorry to interrupt your lunch and your conversation, but might i have a word?" Kevin let Eddwards voice glide over him and seconds passed before he moved up and gestured the teen to follow larger teen was well aware that his and the sockhead teens friends watched in worry. Eddward followed the redhead closely to the much quieter hall. Kevin turned and looked upon the smaller teen in front of him.
"I hope i'm not annoying you. I'll make this quick so you can go back to lunch." Eddward paused and swallowed before finishing what he had to say. "They...They uhm...They cleared the...they…" Kevin noticed the sock heads breathing began to speed up. Eddward brought a hand to his chest and began to forcibly level out his breathing as he shut his eyes. "My house is clear." He managed out. "I can go in it this weekend. Please Kevin… Please go with me." Kevin had never heard Eddward sound so desperate. Eddward opened his eyes to chance a peek at the redhead who was looking down at the teen with concern.
"Yes." Kevin said as he grabbed the other teens hand and began leading him away from where they had been and towards the school's front doors. Eddward was finally snapped out of his trance by the cold air.
"Where are we going Kevin?" Eddward asked in a panic. Kevin stopped in his tracks and the redhead glanced to the teen who he still had a tight grip on.
"Home." Kevin stated flatly as he started walking again. Eddward still followed the redheaded teen but began to protest. "Kevin we still have more than half of a day of school left." Kevin shrugged his shoulders as he and Eddward approached his car.
"Double dork, I don't care. Get in my car." Eddward glared at the redhead. Kevin smiled. He thought the dark haired teen was pretty cute when mad.
"Please?" Kevin Began "Pretty please with cherries and all that shit on top?" Eddward soften his expression and sighed.
"language Kevin." The smaller teen said as he opened to passenger side door before sliding into the car and putting on his seatbelt. Kevin smirked in triumph before jumping into the driver side and cruising out of the school parking lot. Now alone with Kevin the news he received sank in. Eddward let the tears he had been holding in stream down his face. He wanted to get away or disappear really, and like magic Kevin seemed to tune into Eddward's needs.
"Hey Double Dork Let's go to the city."
