"Then go kill the bitch."

"It's not that easy, Lancy." Livy sighed.

"Just because she's your boyfriend's mom doesn't mean that you have to be nice to her. I mean, the woman is a deadly ninja person, right?" Lancy questioned, but Livy just sighed again.

"Yeah, but she loves Damian. There's no doubt about that. She sees Damian as her son and thus is very protective of him." Livy informed.

She and Lancy were talking via Skype, and Livy told her of the friendly yet not-so-friendly experience she had with Talia Al Ghul. Needless to say, it put Livy on edge.

~*~*~*~*~Several Days Ago~*~*~*~*~

Talia Al Ghul was the last person Livy thought she'd bump into in Ireland. However, it wasn't really a bump. It was more like a push.

Livy and Jason had split up to investigate into a nasty drug dealing business, since most of the drugs either killed the user or gave them a high that physically damaged them.

However, when Livy thought she was sneaking into a place where there was some more info on the drug, she was ambushed by several men. Several skilled men.

Are these guys ninjas or something? I'm in Ireland, this shouldn't be happening. Livy thought with a frown as she tried to fend off the men. However, they were better trained than her, and also had an advantage in number.

Livy was breathing heavily with a black eye, she could feel a rib or two broken, her entire body ached and when she coughed, blood sprayed from her mouth.

I'm not in any type of condition to fight. She thought, but she didn't want to give up. She tried crawling away, but two of the men pulled her up and then shoved her into a room.

In the room was the familiar yet terrifying face of Talia Al Ghul.

"It's been awhile, Livy." She smiled.

Livy was on her knees on the ground, feeling completely drained of energy.

"H-h-ello." She hissed, through the pain.

To Livy's surprise, Talia walked over to her, lifted her off the ground, and then placed her onto a chair.

"You're lucky that I called my men off when I did. They were under instructions to beat to death whoever dared enter the premises without permission." She explained.

"Heh. Wish I kn-new that." Livy chuckled, but then started coughing again.

"Why are you here, little girl?"

"I'm looking for some drug dealers. Red Hood and I split up." Livy informed, still breathing heavily and in a lot of pain.

"So this was all a terrible accident." Talia nodded.

"Yeah, seems so." Livy sighed. She started to stand, but her legs wobbled. She went down to the floor, but Talia swiftly caught her before she completely collapsed onto it.

"You should rest before going." Talia stated, sitting Livy back onto the chair. She then opened up a cabinet in the room and took out a first aid kit.

"How injured were you when my father controlled Damian?" Talia inquired, referring to something that happened quite some time ago. All the while the woman was tending to Livy's wounds.

"That was rough." Livy sighed. "I mean, I lived, but he almost killed me. It was one of the most terrifying things to ever happen to me in my entire life." Livy informed.

"And yet, you are still with him?" Talia inquired.

"Of course, I love him." Livy stated, without even thinking.

Talia just smiled at the statement as she continued to treat the wounds.

"You love him." Talia chuckled. "You know, if it weren't for Damian, I would have had you killed."

Livy looked at the woman with surprise.

"Oh?"

"Yes. You are meddlesome, and just oh so breakable. You are also keeping my son far from me by being someone at his side." Talia let out a long sigh. "But, Damian loves you. He truly loves you. If something were to happen to you, he'd most likely be thrown into a great depression. I couldn't bear to watch him suffer like that. And if I were to kill you? Well, he simply would hate me. I know that he dislikes me, but I would be devastated to see him look at me with hatred." She informed. "So I will keep you alive for his sake… at least for now."

Next thing Livy knew, there was a cloth pressed into her face, and she passed out.

When she woke up, she was in the warehouse that she was staying at with Jason hovering over her.

"Livy, what happened?" he inquired. She was bandaged but still bruised.

"My boyfriend's mother. That's what happened." She groaned.

~*~*~*~*~One Week Later~*~*~*~*~

Livy was back in Gotham while Jason went to South America. She was living in a warehouse by herself for the time being.

She was lying in her makeshift bed, all the bruises from her injury in Ireland were healing fairly well. Her eyes were scanning over a book, smiling as she read.

"You certainly do read a good amount." Livy jumped at the voice and turned her head to see standing several feet away was Talia Al Ghul.

"Talia? Why are you here?" Livy questioned, quickly placing the book down and standing from her bed.

She was wearing sleep wear and felt pretty ridiculous preparing herself for a fight wearing a Winnie the Pooh shirt and fluffy superman pants.

"Calm down. I just wanted to see how you are feeling." Talia stated and Livy looked at her skeptically.

"Well… I'm fine." she answered and Talia chuckled.

"That's good to hear." Her face then got more serious. "You know, I am still trying to figure out why you are so appealing to Damian." she stated and Livy shifted uncomfortably on her feet.

"Well… I honestly don't know what to tell you." Livy said, her voice tight with nervousness.

"At first I thought it was because you were weak and he liked looking after you." She informed as if Livy didn't speak. "But the more I witness the two of you interact, the more reasons he seems to love you. It's strange… but it's nice." Talia sighed and Livy kept quiet, not knowing what to say.

She then walked over to Livy, and to Livy's surprise, kissed her on the forehead.

"Keep my son happy, and I won't kill you." Talia said in a low voice. "And if you die and break his heart, I will revive you just to kill you again." She added, and to Livy, the threat sounded fairly real.

"I won't hurt him." Livy stated firmly. She loved Damian too much to want him to hurt. And Talia seemed to understand that.

"Thank you." The woman smiled, and with that, she disappeared into the shadows.

Livy sat in silence for several moments, then let out a long sigh. Damian's mom was easily one of the scariest people she had ever met.
