AN: Back after a lot of time. Happy to post but sad my life's a mess these days...So, hope u make my day.
WHOSE PROPERTY?
(CASSIE'S POV)
What's their problem? Why are they laughing this hard on a stupid questionnaire that I answered almost sleeping? It was this funny that Brady is having after-fits almost every three seconds and Paul is laughing his ass off while driving. I swear they are both so annoying at times. Both of them were so busy in laughing, when all of a sudden Paul pulled the brakes so hard that I could have almost fallen down.
"What happened?" Brady asked him, almost laughing at this.
"There's someone out there." He pointed to a guy outside with chocolate brown hair and a height of about 5'10". I didn't take a look but Brady's face went grim and he opened his door and went outside after I heard, I think, someone saying: "Faith?"
It was a known voice, and wait, I had heard it a lot of times.
"Yeah, right Princess. Just don't fall off."
"What's your problem, Faith?"
"I knew I'd be getting this answer from you."
"Ms. Google Simons."
I stared at his face. This guy had got green eyes and nose was a bit pointy. I believe I knew him. He seemed like…like Louis Nickerson from third grade. I opened my door and got out. Brady and Louis were glaring at each other as if anyone of them had asked the other for their property.
"Louis?" I asked.
"Cassie, stay in the car." Brady and Paul said in unison but I still got out of the car. I jumped out landing straight between Brady and Louis.
"C'mon, let's get going, Faith." Louis held my wrist.
"Whoa, dude, what do you think are you doing?" Brady screeched and pushed him back.
"Oh shut up, would you?! You were the one who kidnapped her, not me."
"Well, you were the one lying to her all along when she was with you and I know you would agree to it. You knew it all along that she isn't Faith. She is someone else." Brady said. I looked at Louis in a confused way. Brady was right. "Right?"
"I…I kind of agree to that." I muttered and looked away, trying not to offend him. Brady was right. They had did nothing but lie to me. I turned back to walk back to the car. Someone again clutched my wrist. It was him again, looking totally depressed into my eyes and it felt like his eyes were so totally deep and were trying to convince me that he wasn't wrong anytime and it kind of banged up all in my brain. Like someone really said: "Faith, just listen to me. Once."
"Just give me a chance to explain, would you?" he urged. Brady looked impatiently at me and then at the wrist Louis had been holding. He instantly let go off it. I gave him a straight please-just-a-few-seconds look.
"Okay, go on." Brady went.
"Really, thank you. Okay, now listen to me. I never-ever wanted to hurt you." He held me by my shoulders.
"Meter distance, got that?" Brady said, spitting hard on the ground.
"Dude, what is your fucking problem?" Louis asked Brady, leaving me off so that he could get up to an actual fight with him.
"Right now? You! You are my problem!" Brady answered.
Heard that same line earlier.
Ouch, that was mine.
Paul walked up to us, almost giggling as if he had been watching some Adam Sandler's comedy movie but whereas in reality it was a fight between my boyfriend and some dude who claims that he hasn't ruined my precious five months that I could have spent happily with my family and boyfriend and summer. I smacked my own forehead.
"Let him speak, would you?" I asked looking in Brady direction. He backed off sincerely. "And yeah, as he said: meter distance."
"Okay, guys, you could be here." He called out to someone in the woods. Two people seemed to come out- a girl and a guy. The girl looked somewhat like those girls who have guys all over the school rolling and sweeping after them. In short, not a freak like me. She had got these pretty grey eyes and blonde highlights and about the age of might be: 17 or 18. The guy looked almost like Louis except the fact that he was a few inches taller: one or two, might be and had dark blue eyes somewhat like which matched sea water at depth. His age looked about; I don't know about 25 I guess.
"Who are they?" Paul spat for the first time instead of giggling. He got serious for the first time since the questionnaire or even the morning.
"Don't worry. They won't hurt her." Sam's alpha voice reached us. He, Embry and Leah walked after he said that.
"What did you do on them? A sincerity test?" Brady said sarcastically. I couldn't help giggle a bit on this one.
"Okay, whatever dude. Can we do the talking?" the girl said.
"Don't you agree to the fact that you had been lying to my little girl all the time? Won't you just say that you actually tricked her out for 'caring' about her? You actually got her to trust you guys and you know what, she had been caring about you guys all along and now we actually know who you all exactly are. Some…" Paul was roughly cut off by the dude with blue eyes. Leah had signaled Paul to stop speaking.
"Hear this now. We ran away. We seriously had to. You know why? This girl really meant more to us than some group leader kind of a thing. All through these five months, she had been my little sister which I never got. Louis is my brother and I know now how much I love Faith…err…Cassie as my little sis. So, quit repeating the whole I-know-you-might-hurt-her thing." He stopped.
"Trust me, there was no way, we could've saved her." The girl said. "Me, by the way, Amelia -Her elder sister, half though."
"You guys are talking as if you really saved her by lying to her." Paul said.
"Well, almost yeah. I'll tell you all exactly what happened…" Louis went on with exactly what happened in his POV. First of all, these guys were living happily in the tribe which is in Richland. Dad had kind of invaded on it and found them out. It turns out that it was kind of like the tribe did have some monarchy rules on it and that specifies that Wayne (the blue eyed – who controls water) and Louis (who controls land/ earth) are kids of the whatever-you-call-them, somewhat like Counts and Countesses but they died in this invasion. Louis and Wayne went with my dad, because they didn't know that dad killed them and Amy, well let's just say, dad tricked/seduced out her mom. Now that, give me shivers. He said that dad took them with him. When Louis had been small, he had lived in Spokane where he met the little me.
Louis went on. He told us he and I had this kind of brain link. I don't know how he was just bearing it for me, I mean Brady. He was so furious already that his face was whistling red. This link had taken place because of that stupid element exchange which was real important for my life like blood kind of thing, which we usually get to see in movies.
"So, okay. Let me use my brain here. What are you really trying to say is my dad trying to kill me because of?" I asked.
"Your nana is the dowager Queen of the tribe." Wayne said.
"You never mentioned this in the whole thing you said!" I shouted. That i.s. (In Short) means that Cassidy Faith Simons, AKA me, I am the PRINCESS OF THE TRIBE!
"Like fuck!" Paul spat the third time since then. I hope the kid really doesn't get his temperament.
"Guys, can I just breathe all of this out for a second?" I said to excuse myself. I felt like I was going to throw up, not that I had anything for breakfast but a granola bar from Brady's pocket. I swear he always has that in his pocket just somewhat like a girl would have lip-gloss in her pocket or purse. 1
"I know it's kinda hard to understand but don't forget that I…we all are with you, 'kay?" Louis tried to comfort me when I tried to walk a bit away from the ruckus that had been caused. Brady was calmer right now (I don't really get how he gets calmed so easily. I wish I could've been like him). He only thing was that I wasn't that comfortable with him that he had thought I was earlier because I had no real memories of him from the past five months but I could say that this guy was really nice.
"Look Louis, I kinda need to stay alone for a while." I told him.
"No probs, always there when you need. By the way, is this, your boyfriend?" he asked pointing to Brady. I knew I was kind of blushing because my cheeks were feeling all warm.
"Um…yeah." I nodded.
"Oh…'kay. I think it isn't that hard to digest." He answered.
"Well, Louis…"
"Louie." He corrected me.
"Sorry what?" I asked him.
"You can call me Louie." He told me.
"Um…no offense but I don't think I could this soon."
"I understand. You need time to adjust with Wayne, Amy and me and the whole 'tribe' thingy. Take your time." He told me. Atleast, that was sweet. I walked back and till this time, (I don't know from where) the Cullens had appeared. Not all of them, it was just Alice, Edward and Carlisle. Now it turns out that the Cullens were consulted by Wayne to come here and they called Sam and Edward told him what he had read in his brain. Sam took a chance although.
"I believe you guys could stay with us till Wayne finds an apartment….and a job." Edward told them. Wayne nodded as if he had been thinking of the apartment and a job.
"I think that we really need to do that." Wayne said.
"Or you guys could stay with us." Leah blurted. All of us moved our faces to stare at her.
Leah?
Offering someone to stay in her apartment or maybe mom's house?
Not someone but some three, in fact?
What is happening out here?
"No, it's okay Leah. I think they should stay with us." Edward smirked. I swear he is a puzzle almost every time.
"Fai….Cassie, your eyes are getting purple. Oh my god, what do we do now?" Amelia said.
"Huh?" I exhaled.
"I think you need to control it." Louis told me.
"I don't know how to do that!" I yelled. These guys were certainly eating more of me than I think it could have happened. "But how does it happen, really?"
"It usually happens when you're annoyed, too much." Wayne informed.
"What? I am most certainly not." I said. Two of them, Brady and Louis stared at me and gave me this you-are-lying look. Hey, I am hungry and on the top of it these guys are not letting me eat. Why won't I be annoyed?
"Louis you can help her to control that." Edward said.
"I don't know. I don't think she is kind of comfortable with me, that much." Louis said, eyeing me nervously.
"Is it harmful?" Brady asked, getting all the more worrying. Aw! He is so sweet.
"Um…no. Not that much unless you don't provoke her to go near fire. Not that it would cause much harm except a small explosion." Amelia said.
"Oh, yeah? Do tell them how much of our kitchen it destroyed?" Louis said sarcastically.
"What? That wasn't as large as the tornado I created just after my maturation." Amelia answered back.
"Um, yeah, Ames. 'Cause you were 'matured' and she is just a kid after all and what wreck she caused was way more than what you could ever do as a kid." Wayne told her. I could say that Amelia was a just friend to him, not more than that, which I could figure out from the constant bickering.
"What…did I do?" I asked in a guilty tone.
"Not much, as Amy. You just exploded the gas pipe and caused the whole kitchen on fire and with the living room too. You burnt the TV, the coffee table, our curtains et cetera, et cetera." Louis told me. I could note the sarcasm in the first line.
"Why was I that annoyed?" I asked. Wayne snickered.
"Louie read your PD." Amy replied.
"Then there's no problem in getting mad." I answered. "I go berserk when someone even touches it."
Louis went with Brady, Paul and me. He told both of them some tactics that could control me and I was getting even more annoyed. Every time, I felt this stupid sensation in my brain that would annoy me, Brady or Louis would crack a joke. No one talked about my questionnaire anymore.
We reached home in about 15 minutes. Mom and dad had been waiting in the living room and were surprised to have a guy instead of my result. We introduced him to them. Mom was at first, in a state of non-trust and as I went to the fridge to get a coke or something for him, mom was like: "Are you sure, honey? He won't hurt you and you know what I mean? I mean there are Paul and Brady to protect you but what if Theo sent them."
"Mom, would you just chill out? Edward did a brain test on them; I mean he read the brains." She acted way too confused. "God, mom, the brain reader vampire and Sam trusts him on this one. Why would he ever do something to hurt me? And more than that I trust him MYSELF!" I couldn't help yelling a bit on the last line.
"Cassie, your eyes?" mom said, in a way that showed I had scared her.
"Whoa, Faithy. Get a grip on yourself, would you?" this was Louis' voice as he ushered me out of the kitchen with his hand on the small of my back. "Now, just breathe in once, deeply."
I did as he said. I hadn't been so annoyed in days, I believe.
"Cassie, you fine?" Brady asked me and made me sit on the couch. Then he bent by me and moved to my ear. "You're as mad as if she's objecting you to marry me when we grow up."
I couldn't help laughing on this.
"No, why would she? And as a matter of fact, I didn't say that to her." I answered. Mom came out of the kitchen. By the time, I had cooled down. I went up to her. "Mom, I am really sorry. I didn't mean it. It was just…"
"I kind of know. Your dad used to act like that sometimes. I know about it. So, relax. You could always apply for another school." She replied, feeling a bit depressed.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You didn't get back, did you?"
"I totally did, mom! Paul didn't call you, did he?" I said, eyeing Paul who had just entered. "Well, anyway, I was kinda annoyed because I hadn't had anything since last night, remember?"
"I got it. I'll just get you something." She told me. "Louis, you could go and freshen up if you want."
"Um…I thought I needed a shower. Where's the bathroom?" he asked. Wow, he got frank with my mom too soon, didn't he?
Brady, although, a bit annoyed of him still took him I don't know where because I was way too busy eating. Mom (so totally sweet of her) had made chicken lasagna for me when I was gone. She said that if I got past this, this would be a treat, otherwise something to cheer me up. Not that I would mind having it as a cheer up. When I was done, I saw that Brady wasn't available. I hadn't noticed him since he took Louis to a bathroom and since then, Louis too had disappeared. I went up to my room to change and just wash my face. I opened the door of my room which I knew had been missing me. I walked up straight to my bathroom door and opened it. And then the next thing was that there were two voices of shrieking…
Mine and Louis',
He turned his side and so did I. Thank god, he was behind the curtain otherwise I would have been all like "Jesus, my poor virgin eyes." But fortunately I wasn't.
"Jeez, why didn't you lock the door?" I demanded.
"I…uh…. kinda forgot. When did I ever do that, Faith?" he asked.
"I am not Faith. My name's Cassidy. You could call me Cassie."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Why are you shouting? I should be the one doing that." I said feeling all so blushy.
"Well, even though, if I'm a guy, I do have some self-respect and self-consciousness." He answered. "Mind getting out for some minutes?"
"I want my bathroom clean."
"As you say, Faith."
"It ain't Faith, got that?"
"What's the problem if I call you that?"
"Well, I like being called Cassie better than anything else." I said and slammed the door. "Better, shut it from inside this time." I called out.
"Got that, chief." He answered from inside.
ULEY'S RESIDENCE
"CASSIE!" Brady called me from outside when I was playing with Marley. I walked in and tied him outside, I mean Marley.
"Yep?" I asked. As soon as I popped the 'p', I saw a little girl, about 4 or 5, hardly. I guess this was the girl Hazel he was telling me about. "Is this Hazel?"
Brady said I look like her. Oh yeah, right. I could never be a match for that kid's pretty features. I mean I know our eyes do match but rest, I know she's going to grow into a pretty young woman.
"Hey, sweetheart." I bent by her.
"So, you were celebrating her birthday in the storehouse?" she asked looking at Brady. Aaron was sitting and watching a soccer match.
"Uh…what?" he acted as if he were really innocent.
"He was celebrating my birthday in the storehouse?" I asked and was about to laugh but I couldn't. I had to respect his feelings and that was cute, totally cute.
"Um…who told you that?" Brady asked looking at Hazel.
"I asked you when you were almost sleeping at Emily's house. Aaron told me that Brady loved you." At this I kind of blushed. Brady looked down.
"Aw Brownie! Don't deny the fact that you really did that and I know you would have." I flung my arms around his neck.
"Aaron, you are teaching my little sister about this?" he changed the topic.
"Huh?" Aaron came to his conscious.
"Oh whatever. Wait; do you remember where my PD is?" I asked both of them.
"I kinda saw it with…" Aaron was telling me when Hazel pushed in:
"Do you like to color?" she had some sheets of paper and crayons in her little hands.
"Yeah, sweets. I kind of like to but right now I need to find my diary. Have you seen it? It was a purple colored glittery diary with a large 'C' on it." I described.
"Brady had it. He was reading it." She answered.
That was it! I had had it!
"You…read it?!" I demanded.
"N…no. I…I did…didn't read it." He muttered.
"How could you possibly do that?!" I cried.
"Oops." Aaron murmured. "Let's get going Haze." Aaron picked up Hazel and they went out.
"I know and I'm really sorry."
"Yeah, right. Do a mistake, say a sorry. Nothing new."
"I thought it was the only thing that could make me feel you are always with me! Well, anyway, if I go away from you like that and you find my diary, you won't read it? You won't value it? You won't keep it with you?" he asked me. I placed my hand on his mouth.
"Don't. Ever. Say. That. Again." I told him, looking straight into his eyes. With that, his lips collided with mine.
