I'm sick and whilst being sick I have written this. Baseball is no joking business.

Also, I know i haven't updated in awhile. I'm starting to run out of ideas so some prompts would be nice if anyone has any.

Please enjoy.

"Hopefully we won't get kidnapped by a crazy rhyming man again." Carter smirked as he and Livy walked to a baseball game. Once again it was the Philadelphia Phillies playing the Gotham Goliaths.

"What would the chances be of something like that happening again?" Livy questioned with a chuckle.

"Don't even joke. You'll jinx us and next thing we know we'll be part of some hostage negotiation."

"We'll be fine. I'm so excited to see the Phillies cream your team's sorry ass." Livy smirked and Carter's eyes narrowed.

"Them's fightin' words, Livy." He growled and the girl just laughed.

"Fine. A friendly wager then." Livy grinned and Carter raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.

"What's the wager?"

"If the Gotham Goliaths win, then I'll buy a jersey of their star player and wear it for a week. But if the Phillies win, then you have to wear Phillies gear for a week." She stated. Livy wouldn't be caught dead wearing a Gotham Goliaths jersey, so Carter knew that she was being completely serious.

"Deal." Carter grinned, shaking hands with the girl. "Better start praying to whatever God you believe in because your team's gonna need all the luck it can get."

"Trust me, Carter. The only team that's gonna need luck is yours." Livy shot back, and the two made their way into the stadium.

Carter bought a hot dog while Livy got herself some cotton candy, and then the two found their seats.

"Isn't that super unhealthy?" Carter questioned, eyeing Livy's cotton candy.

"Shouldn't I be saying that to you?" Livy smirked, glancing at the hotdog.

"Point taken." Carter nodded with a chuckle.

"Oh my god, Livy? Is that you?" the girl looked up to see Maxwell Boyer and Nura walking towards them.

"Hey guys. What a coincidence." Livy smiled, however, she knew that it wasn't entirely a coincidence.

Livy had a pretty strong hunch that Max was head over heels in love with Nura. So, she snuck two tickets to the game into Maxwell's mailbox so he would hopefully take Nura out on a date.

"Yeah, what a coincidence." Max nodded and Livy smirked a bit. He had figured it out that she was the one who snuck the tickets into his mailbox with just that one statement.

"Hey, I'm here with a good friend of mine, Carter Grills." Livy informed. "Carter, these are two of my friends, Max and Nura ."

"Weren't you the guy who-" Carter started but Max cut him off.

"Did a lot of horrible things that I wish I could undo? Yes. That's me."

"Sorry, that didn't come out the way I wanted." Carter apologized, then stuck his hand out to shake with Max.

"It's not a problem." Max grinned, shaking hands with the other man, and then he and Nora took their seats next to Livy and Carter.

"So, Livy, where is your boyfriend? Did you two break up?" Nora inquired, looking between Livy and Carter.

"No, Carter's just a friend of mine. Damian hates baseball so Carter came along." Livy explained. "Besides, Carter is a fan of the Goliaths so it's a miracle I associate with him."

"I'm also a fan of the Goliaths." Max stated.

"I'm surrounded by heathens." Livy grunted, then looked at Nura. "Who are you rooting for?"

"I don't watch baseball a lot so I don't really have a team that I want to see win." She shrugged and Livy nodded.

"Alright, it's better than being a Goliath fan." Livy smirked.

"Keep smiling, Livy. After this game, you're gonna be wearing a Goliath's jersey just like every other decent human being." Carter shot back.

"That's just wishful thinking on your part."

"You two made a bet, didn't you?" Max questioned and Livy and Carter nodded, saying in unison,

"A bet I'll win." Both Nura and Max laughed at that.

"This'll be interesting."

The game started and Livy and Carter watched with wrapped interest while Nura and Max made some small talk while they occasionally glanced at the game.

Livy would sometimes look over at them and smile how the two seemed to be in their own little world, perfectly content to just have each other's company.

During the seventh-inning stretch, Livy got out of her seat, saying she was going to get more cotton candy, when she really went to talk to one of the men holding cameras that would film people to get on the big screen.

She then walked back to her seat happily.

"No cotton candy?" Nura questioned.

"Nah, they were out." Livy said with a small shrug. "I guess my teeth should be grateful for that."

The game was currently 3-2 with Phillies in the lead, but the game was most definitely a close one.

When the teams were changing positions, the big screen announced that it was time for the 'Kiss Cam'.

Next thing they knew, Nura and Max noticed the camera trained on them. Both blushed, making Livy chuckle, but they kissed causing the crowd to cheer.

"You're trying to hook those two up, aren't you?" Carter whispered and Livy chuckled.

"Just call me a matchmaker."

The game finished and Carter and Livy looked on in horror.

"A tie."

"It was a tie."

"Welp, I guess that means no one won the bet." Livy shrugged, but Max shook his head.

"I think that meant you both lost. So, you know what you two need to do now?"

"I feel like filth." Livy grumbled, staring down at the Gotham Goliaths Jersey on her body. Meanwhile Carter was wearing Phillies gear.

"I feel like I'm the scum of the earth."

The two were at a restaurant with Nura, Max, and Damian.

"Will you two settle down. It's just clothing." Damian grunted, rolling his eyes.

"Damian." Livy shot him a dangerous look. "It isn't just clothing. This is the spirit of a city that is represented by the threads and colors of this clothing. Once you wear the jersey, you become that spirit. I may sometimes live here, but I don't want the spirit of Gotham on my body. I want the spirit of Philadelphia." She stated seriously. Damian just chuckled.

"The spirit of Gotham, huh? Perhaps my father would enjoy a jersey."
