"This is stupid."
"No, this is fun."
"We're standing in line to see a woman who gets paid to dress up as a fictional character for children."
"Excuse you. You're wrong. We're in line to see Merida." Livy stated and Damian let out a sigh while rolling his eyes.
Damian and Livy were both on a mission in Disney World, since a terrorist group had been making threats. However, Livy and Damian were only there as backup if things went awry and Superman and Superboy couldn't handle the attack if it happened.
That left Livy and Damian a good amount of time to blend in as 'tourists'.
Livy's blond hair was braided back and she was wearing a powder blue t-shirt, short overalls, and sneakers. On her head were a pair of Mickey Mouse ears.
All the while Damian was wearing khaki shorts, comfortable sandals, a gray stitch t-shirt, and on his head he wore Minnie Mouse ears, which Livy insisted that he wear.
"You do realize that this is something that mostly small children do, correct?" Damian gave Livy a concerned look as she nodded her head.
"What?"
"I can't believe that I am willingly dating a child stuck in a seventeen year old's body." He grunted and Livy just giggled at that.
"That's your problem, not mine." She gave him a small peck on the cheek. "Come on Damian, be pumped. We're probably not gonna be called in for backup so relax. It's just the two of us on a nice vacation. We don't get that often." Damian slowly let a grin slip onto his face. "Besides, when's the next time we'll be able to meet the actual Merida from Brave." The grin disappeared but only because Damian was making a conscious effort to not show his smile.
"Tt. You're ridiculous."
"Ridiculously awesome." Livy beamed, pecking Damian on the cheek again as the two inched closer to the woman playing Merida.
~*~*~*~*~Later~*~*~*~*~
"You were too excited to see that Merida character." Damian grumbled while the two were in line for the Splash Mountain ride.
"Oh c'mon Damian, she was awesome. She had the accent and everything."
"She's a fictional character, Livy." The girl pinched Damian's cheeks, pulling them up forcing his lips to smile. However, Damian swiftly swatted her hands away.
"Don't ruin the magic, grumpy." Livy chuckled while Damian continued to glare and keep his arms crossed in front of him.
Damian tried to keep a glare the entire trip but he slowly found himself grinning throughout the day as Livy grabbed his hand and dragged him place to place. They had been on almost every ride, they posed for pictures, Damian being rigid and still while Livy posed goofily. And when they needed to rest, they fell asleep on the 'It's A Small World' ride.
At the end of the day, they found themselves a seat on the curb and the Castle lit up in front of them in vibrant colors.
BANG
Damian jumped but Livy placed her hand gently on his arm.
"Fireworks, Damian. Not anything violent. Just fireworks." She smiled and Damian slowly relaxed as music played, coinciding with the firework patterns.
"Magical, right?" Damian stared at her, slowly letting himself smile fully.
"Yes. Truly magical."
