Chpt.45
Livy loved overly dramatic eighties music. So, that basically was to say that Livy loved all eighties music. One of her favorites? 'The Look of Love' by ABC.
So, when in one of the random safe houses she was staying at, after a hectic day she figured that playing some eighties music while singing and dancing to it would be a good idea.
"Never gonna give you up!
Never gonna let you down!
Never gonna run around and desert you!" Livy sang while dancing wildly. Livy knew how to dance, however something about eighties music made her just flail around wildly as if she had never danced a day in her life.
"May I ask what in the world you are doing?" Livy jumped and turned around to see Damian in the window.
"Dancing."
"To what? The death of civilized music?"
"No. It's eighties, Damian." Livy smiled and Damian looked at her as if she was crazy.
"Eighties?"
"Yeah, it's eighties music. C'mon, sing and dance with me." Livy giggled.
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Great! I'm just in a dancing mood." Livy beamed and grabbed Damian's hand and continued to dance. Damian looked at her like she was crazy and the song faded it and another started up.
Once Livy recognized the beginning four chords, she jumped up and down in excitement.
"This is a good one!" she exclaimed, then sang along with it. "Just a small town girl! Living in a lonely world! She took the midnight train going anywhere!"
Damian let out a long sigh and decided that he might as well humor the girl and at least dance along while she screamed the lyrics.
He danced fairly well to the music and Livy shook her head.
"Damian, you need big arms. You don't need to dance well. Just have a good time." Livy smiled then threw her hands up and sung along more to the song.
"DON'T STOP BELIEVING!" Damian tried to let lose, he really did, but the music was not doing much for him.
He awkwardly moved his body along with Livy as she sang along and Damian tried to sing along with the chorus multiple times but wasn't having as much fun as Livy was having. He supposed that perhaps he just didn't like eighties music.
'Don't Stop Believing' faded out and before Damian could say to Livy that he should be leaving, the next song started up.
It was a strange opening with what sounded like a creaky door opening and footsteps and a wolf howling. The undertone music sounded strange to Damian yet it was… catchy.
"Is this still your Eighties music?" Damian questioned and Livy nodded.
"Yup. Good ol' MJ too."
"MJ?"
"Michael Jackson." Livy giggled then sang along when the lyrics started up. "It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream,
but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze
as horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed…"
Livy started doing a strange dance with her arms and hands in the air but Damian followed along, a genuine smile slowly creeping onto his face. Damian wasn't a huge eighties fan, but he did enjoy Michael Jackson's music.
"'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about to strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer
Thriller tonight"
