DANGEROUS THINGS TO DO

(CASSIE'S POV)

It's been five months since I am back, four and a half months since I joined here. Let's just say… I love my life right now. Max is in third grade and Eva in fourth while our dear Claire turns a freshman. She is pretty happy and excited about it; Quil is certainly not. He is actually weirded out 'cause he thinks 'in freshman year, any guy might come and ask Claire out and bam! Before I know, they have kids' which on Quil's part was pretty weird to say. He's just too possessive and weird. And when these two words add up to each other; a Quil Ateara forms which is not really easy to handle for someone new. Everyone loved my ring but the main problem came when Hayley and Meg came out with their theories.

THAT DAY'S CONVERSATION…

Meg: I don't think you guys should get married right now. I mean it's gonna be some time but…not right now.

Me: Why?

Hayley: Okay, look, you know we both are pregnant, aren't we?

Me: (squeezing away, as if to run) Yeah?

Hayley: The point is a marriage takes time to be arranged. We have to make guest lists and plan everything. Besides, you're new at your job; they won't give you a Marriage vacation, will they?

Me: What do you mean?

Mark: (out of nowhere) They wanna say that they don't wanna look two big fat soon-to-be mommies on your marriage.

Me: Whatever. Is that what you guys mean? I don't think that.

Hayley and Megan nodded. Pure selfish people, I might just add but Hayley had a point. I was new at the job and I think I should execute the right thing at the right time. I would go for it after the promotion.

EXACTLY FOUR MONTHS LATER…

"God, why doesn't this mouse get out of its hole?" Meg complained. Yeah, it was time but the kid wasn't coming out.

"Seriously, I hate walkin' around like this." Hayley added.

Sometimes, I just wonder if I would be complaining like them or be a good soon-to-be mom. I shook my head. We were currently sitting at Cole's place and all of us together – Seth, Hayley, Meg, Cole, me, Brady and Louie. Louie stared at me. I wonder if he had the same thought as me. The guys decided to go for a guys' night out while I was stuck with two pregnant women. What could be worse than being stuck with two hormonally imbalanced women and watching a movie with them? Meanwhile, Natalie just texted me that she was pretty happy with her life in Austin. Oh, by the way, Hayley's having a girl and Megan's having a boy. So, we watched one movie than got the room flooded with tears. I texted Cole and Seth:

You guys will regret leaving me alone with them!

Reply was by Cole:

Actually we've been handling them for long. Your turn!

I so hate him!

"Cassie, help me get to the toilet." Hayley said. I helped her and she went inside. Just in the same second, Megan started shouting. I wished we hadn't been up so long watching movies. It was 12:30 at that time.

"SHIT! SHIT! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" she screamed. I hadn't inserted an action movie. Oh my god! Had her water broke? I ran to her to see if she was okay but I was not so lucky.

"Meg, you okay?" I asked her.

"MY WATER FUCKING BROKE, YOU IDIOT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE OKAY?" she shouted. If she wasn't pregnant, I swear I would've replied to that! But I wasn't that lucky again to get Megan right then to the hospital since Hayley started shouting at the same second I got Megan deep breathing.

"CASSIE! MY WATER BROKE!" Hayley shouted. God, someone kill me. I tried to calm them both and myself but no one would calm down making me even restless. I got them both trucked into the back seat of my car and drove to Amy as soon as I could. You know, I now came to know that the most dangerous thing to do was to drive with two women both of which are going to have their kids any second. I was so happy that I had Amy on speed dial. She was waiting at the hospital. I had been pretty sleepy fifteen minutes ago but now it seemed as if someone had slapped me straight across my face to wake me up. Embry and Amy were there waiting for us. Embry, Amy and Wayne were there and helped me get those two out of my car. They took them inside while I decided to call Seth.

He had switched it off.

Cole.

He too had switched it off.

I swear I could kill both of them if they came in front of me. So, I decided to call Brady.

"Hey, blue eyes!" he called in a flirty tone.

"Do me a favor. Turn the phone on speak and give it to Seth and Cole." I said.

"Yeah?" Seth sounded scared.

"YOU KNOW I COULD KILL BOTH YOU ASSHOLES AT THIS SECOND IF YOU CAME IN FRONT OF ME! YOU WANNA KNOW WHERE AM I? AT THE HOSPITAL AND BOTH YOUR WIVES ARE GOING TO HAVE YOUR KIDS ANY SECOND!"

"WHAT?!" there was a chorus.

So, they four reached the hospital in less than ten minutes while I was pacing between two wards. Here, Hayley, there, Megan screaming. God, now this was getting scary. Seth and Cole were so confused that they got into the wrong rooms. I slapped my forehead. Then, they both switched their places and in a few minutes simultaneously two baby cries were heard. Meg named him Austin Michael Littlesea; born at exactly 1:45 while Hayley had the girl whom she named Tara Susan Clearwater; born at 1:57. So, this executed well. I was so tired that I was clinging to Brady for support.

"This was funny." He said.

"Oh, yeah. The next time if someone's having a baby, you drive her to the hospital and see how fun it was." I replied.

"Driving you to the hospital shouldn't be that hard." He answered. I blushed deeply.

"Shut up!" I muttered and went to talk to Hayley once again. When they shifted them both together and everyone was there to meet them, I finally decided to announce a request.

"Now please! No one's getting pregnant till I get married!" I requested.

"So, let's decide the date today." Hayley announced excited.

"God, pep down a little. You just had a kid." I muttered.

"Oh, pick one date, Cassie." Megan said.

Finally, we ended up deciding 13th March that was about to come in three months. God, this was finally coming. In the morning, I finally called Natalie and she was pretty excited about this. Yet, I still had to choose my maid of honor. This was another crazy thing I had to do. Finally, I decided to get Amy to do this so that no one complained.

Soon everything started turning even more complicated than ever. I mean everything starting from petty issues like deciding the color scheme to large issues like where were we going to get married. The thing was: nothing was going normal and which was causing me short depression sessions. I felt insanely irritated one second while the other; I would be jumping like a small child. Amy had decided on three places where the ceremony could be held but they were booked. Now, this sucked. That day, I was sitting in the office and I couldn't design anything. I felt like I was lost. I was pretty much crying when all of a sudden, I got a call; from Brady.

"Hello?" I said, sniffing into the phone.

"Hey honey. What's wrong?" he asked me.

"Nothing is going fine." I countered.

"Calm down. Okay, when will you be free? Let's go somewhere."

"I don't know. It'll take a while." I said.

"I'm waiting." He replied.

"Huh?"

"Look downstairs."

I looked through my window. He was standing there by his car. At least something went well. I finished up in a few minutes, packed up because half the office was already empty. I ran downstairs happy and hugged him.

"Brownie, you're really my savior." I said into his chest. Then, I went into the car and sat on the passenger seat.

"What happened? You seem pretty off." He asked me.

"Over worked." I answered. "Anyway, where are we going?"

"Some place you'll love." He said.

It was a short drive from my workplace and actually Brady's was just in the opposite direction. I still didn't get why we were here but finally I spotted a house. From the exterior, it looked just like my dream house. The mid-sized lawn with a large swing couch at one side and a small place for a coffee table.

"Why're we here?"

"Oh, nothing. My friend wanted an architect to have a look at it. Remember Sheldon? He's thinking of buying it. He wants to know if it's perfect… I mean, if it's really fine or not?"

"Oh." I wish I could have a house like that. Right now, I was living with Brady in his apartment. This house was just in the colony where Seth, Cole, Embry and a few others live. We went inside and it designed just according to those pictures I had stuck in my PD about my dream house. There were five bedrooms and the kitchen was just awesome. There was a basement too and the backyard was pretty large. The garage was great and it was just perfect. When we finally got into the car and he started driving, I told him how great it was.

"Tell Sheldon, he's got himself a great house according to me." I said.

"I was just thinking what if we bought this house from Sheldon? I mean…we need a place to live, don't we?" he asked. I stared at him.

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Here..." he said seriously. "ARE THE KEYS!" he shouted.

"Oh my god! What?!" I asked. Our house?! Are you fucking kidding me?

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me, Brownie?" I shouted.

"It's gonna be ours." He said. I hugged him tight excited and kissed him.

"I love you so much." I said, placing the main kiss on his lips. "But what about paying? I mean it seems a pretty expensive place, the locality and the structure?"

"I have it under control. It's in installments. Okay?"He said and kissed my forehead.

A WEEK BEFORE THE MARRIAGE…

Natalie wasn't coming which was driving me crazy at the second. She had measles. God! When do doctors suffer from measles!? And she's a gynecologist.

Oh, maybe that's why.

Anyway, my mood was pretty off when Amy finally decided to tell me where Brady and I were having the ceremony. This had been kept a surprise for me and there were still a few things they hadn't told me about like my dress and a few more stuff. My royal grandmother was still stuck on getting all the Counts and their families and make it royal in the palace which I was totally against. I wanted something simple. So, finally we stopped in front of Paul's house. Actually it was the house where I lived before I moved to New York.

"Why're we here?" I asked her. So, she finally told me that we were going to have the ceremony in the empty plot behind the house which was actually a cute place to begin with. Max and Shellie (my niece who's 5 now) were pretty happy that I came over. Marley had moved to the palace, living a luxurious life as the royal dog. I missed him pretty much but it was okay, he was happy. I remembered the day he came when I saw his kennel. It reminded me of that year and how crazily it had passed.

"So, what do you think?" Amy asked me as she was done explaining.

"You know what? I love you!" I answered.

"I knew that." She answered.

(LOUIE'S POV) THE WEDDING DAY…

It was weird that after all this, when I came to know that Brady and Cassie were getting married, instead of being happy for both my best friends, I felt hurt and that made me re-discover, I was still in love with that girl. I felt annoyed at myself. I could've been happy for her but I wasn't talking to her which I knew was driving her crazy. The thing was…I didn't want to face the girl I was going to lose. I was sitting in the woods, debating upon what to do when my phone rang. God, not again. It was Cassie. If I picked up, I won't be able to hold up for long, if I didn't, she would grow agitated. Cassie had been pretty unpredictable lately. Actually, since the last month. One moment, she would be as happy as a child while the other, she would be shouting for something like crazy. I should've been with Brady but here I was, drinking. We all were having it hard to control her and she almost blew my apartment last week.

"Ello?" I decided to pick up.

"Why weren't you picking up?" she screamed. So, the switch was very much off.

"I was doing things…" I replied.

"Like what?" she demanded to know.

"Um…" I looked around and in front of me was Cassie standing.

"God, shit! What are you doing here?" I asked, in the phone. Okay, I knew I was drunk.

She disconnected hers and said to my face: "Would you stop shitting my big day?"

"Look, the thing is; it's your day not mine. You be happy!" I snapped.

"Louie, you're just…what're you doing?" she asked, grabbing my bottle.

"Drinking once in a while is good for health. I'm a doctor; I'm supposed to know that."

"And drinking over much, which leads to intoxication, is not good for health. I'm a 24 year old women, I'm supposed to know that." She said.

"I'm not drinking overmuch. I know my limits." I said. She sat beside me.

"Louie, why're you doing this?" she asked.

"I wanted to drink. It's not that bad to drink once in a while."

"I know that. This is the second time you're saying that." She answered. "It's not even four hours till the ceremony starts. You have to be there."

"I don't wanna be there at your wedding. Not even if you give me $100,000." I countered.

"I won't give you that but I'd just ask you: why?"

"It's because…you both are getting married and you'll forget me now."

"WHAT?!"

"What?!"

"Louie, are you crazy? I'm not gonna have amnesia after I get married, dumbass. I'll remain the same Cassie."

"No, you won't. You'll change your name."

"Louie, seriously?" she looked at me, annoyed. "Okay, what makes you think I'll forget you?"

"I mean, Brady will be your husband and all and…"

"Since when are Brady and I together? Tell me?"

"Uh…Ten years?"

"The thing is…marriage is just going to give this a name. Brady and I won't change. We'll remain the same for each other and same for everyone. And if you're done, then I need a sip. I'm having a breakdown."

She took it from me and drunk a few sips. We both laughed. She seemed a bit relieved but no one had any idea about my heartache. Maybe being happy for her would make me happy?

So, now we know the minister's sick. Great! So great! I mean sarcastically. So, right now we all were panicking. No one dared to tell Cassie and the bridesmaids because if you tell one bridesmaid, the news is sure to travel to Cassie. If you tell Cassie straight, she's going to blow out. We had only one option. An over net minister but the confusion was: who was going to be that? It's not even two hours till the ceremony starts.

"I'm not gonna do it anyway. I babble in front of people." Seth said. Expected. Everyone had their own excuses till I shot up.

"I think I'll do it." I said. Brady lit up.

"If I was a girl, I would've kissed you." Brady said.

"Ew…anyway, you're welcome." I said and got registered as soon as I could.

She looked fantastic as she walked down the aisle. Nothing had yet happened and Diana was crying but the girl here looked happier than anything. She seemed nervous, I thought because of those stilettos. Yeah, they weren't her thing. When she saw me at the minister's place, her eyes widened. God, I was so dead. When Brady got her on the platform, she still stared at me.

"What're you doing here?" she whispered to me.

"Tell ya later." Brady answered. I went on with whatever extempore speech I had formulated in the last twenty minutes. Cassie had let that go now and you know, finally when they kissed each other, I felt…content for her. I mean Brady was going to protect her through anything so…I guess they were made for each other. They left for Spain for their honeymoon. Jeez, I don't even want to think anymore.

AN: So, how was this chapter? Funny? Idiotic? I have been thinking of a short sequel. About someone who's coming in the next chapter of course. So, I was wondering if anyone was interested in that. Let me know!
