Hey, guys! I was feeling up for it so I decided to bring out a little chapter for TDBFDUP! This is really just a filler chapter for Jasper and Bella to let Bella heal before I make time to start getting some chapter's out for this. A little fluff here and some fun for the couple!

Hope you like it!

Be sure to R&R!

Bella's POV

I could feel every bone in my body shaking, completely convulsing as the fire in my blood forced it to pulse and circulate, breathing fire over every nerve ending in my body. I felt my left reattach itself as if it were being sewed on, tiny threads of my skin patching itself together, slowly but surely. As I felt the rupture of my side peak with the glistening color of venom in order to heal, I could not stop the groan that filtered out between my lips. Jasper was at my side instantly, his hands cradling my face as I forced myself to not double over, taking my chest to my knees and slowing the healing process. I reached up, gripping onto Jasper's wrists like anchors as the fire raged, and the pain within my body began to subside. My closed eyes darkened as the sun went down behind the mountains beyond the trees, and I was struck by the beauty of it, completely isolated in my silent thoughts as I watched the dying sun rays wave over and through the trees leaves.

Soon, I found myself looking into my husband's eyes, utterly entranced with him. "'To sleep, perchance to dream…', and I could still not bring out your true figure in my head."

He smiled, chuckling lightly at my words. The corners of my lips lifted in response as I finally saw a bit of light, a portion of life that began to glow from within him. It forged itself out to me, calming my pain and allowing a single ounce of his calm nature envelope me in its grip like a pure silk blanket, brushing my skin with the barest of touches.

"Well, you are not dreaming, Angel, just as I cannot." He paused. "And I don't think I want to." He moved to sit beside me, curling his arm around my back gently, pulling me into his embrace. His breath caressed my neck, cooling the burning there. "Reality is so much sweeter."

"While I agree with you," I groaned, "my reality isn't so nice right now. If it weren't for you, I would be in a lot more pain than I am actually in."

He brushed his fingers through my hair, eliciting a low moan from deep within me, all the while seeming to freeze the fire, chilling it like the cool nature of ice. "I wish you felt no pain. You don't deserve this, Bella."

I shook my head, breathing, "No. I may not, but Jane is dead, and that's what matters."

Jasper sighed, pressing his lips to my temple. "Why didn't you call for help when you began to feel the struggle? Esme would have heard you. Emmett would have heard you. I may have heard you. We could have saved you without the injuries."

"Aw, but then I wouldn't have anything to show for what I did," I joked, wondering where on earth my brain had spiraled out those words.

"But you don't need to show anything for it, Bella," Jasper criticized bluntly. He soon softened his tone as his calming air disappeared, and I found myself moaning at the fire that once again raged within me. Luckily, it was beginning to simmer down as my body patched itself up. Slowly, I raised my hand to my neck, feeling the ridges that were forming from the bite. The ridges were incredibly defined, displaying a prominence of the nature at with which I was bitten. Jane got me deep.
Jasper's hand followed mine, curling his fingers with mine. I tilted my head, kissing his knuckles, one by one. He placed a gentle kiss on my head in turn, placing his forehead against my temple as I raised my head again.

"Can I ask a favor of you?" he breathed, his luscious scent stalling all brain function for a few seconds.

"Only if you think I'll actually comply with it," I murmured after a moment, focusing back in on my situation as the fire receded speedily.

"Fight all you want," he stated, and I looked up at him, shocked, "but always have one other person with you. I'd say make it be me, but I can't always be there for you when I need to be, even if I want to."

"How about a compromise?" I reeled, tilting my head back to look at him, laying it on his shoulder. He nodded to me, his eyes piercing mine with a loving, protective clarity of pure, melted cold. Beautiful.

"You train me, and I make my own fighting decisions, and I can still fight even if I'm alone," I offered.

Jasper thought, but the look he relayed proved that he had his own side of the deal. "You must try to always have one other person, unless there's no way for you to."

I nodded, lifting my hand to him. "Agreed."

He shook my hand briefly, keeping hold of it as he turned towards me a little more. His eyes locked with mine, and I could swear that my heart gave a heavy pound as he looked at me. He raised his free hand to my cheek, his eyes tracing my face as if it was the first time he had ever seen it. His gentle fingers caressed my face, following the curve of my jaw up to my temple, down to the bridge of my nose, and finally brushing over my lips. I kissed his fingers lightly, each in turn. Jasper's lips followed his fingers, and I soon found myself wrapped in his protective embrace. His lips moved with mine like liquid, the two of us meeting like fire and ice, silk against satin. Our lips moved together for minutes, neither of us having the strength to pull away. Soon, though, we separated, both pulling away at the same time.

I looked into Jasper's eyes, his love for me sparkling like a million clustered stars. I was envious, knowing that my eyes could never display such raw emotion. Jasper was the epitome of my perfection, the man that held me close and protected me with every fiber of my being. I would do the same for him. He held on to me as if he was a man in the desert, and I was the oasis that awaited him, no longer a mirage.

"Tomorrow, my angel, we will begin your proper training. But, can I ask a promise?" he wondered quietly, rubbing a hand up my freshly healed side, making the nerves there tingle to life.

"Anything," I breathed, pressing a soft kiss to his neck.

"Stay safe, no matter what, and during your training, keep in mind that I am not your husband but your trainer."

"Then, I'm not your wife," I regaled, threatening an argument.

He nodded against me. "Fine."

I smiled to myself, happy that I was finally going to be able to truly protect myself, to completely defend myself while still having him by my side. I would train well for him, and I would help win this battle with him.

There ya go, guys! Super short and just a basic something to hold you guys over. Hope you enjoyed, sorry if it isn't as good!

Please review, it means a lot to me, and be sure to check out the story that comes before this if you haven't already!
