Authors Note:I had this review: How can Averna capture the girls if they have been teleported away via portkey before? I thought I removed that part from the story, but I must of missed it, so sorry about that.
Slicerness: Yes, our apologies, we changed the last chapter pretty heavily most of the way through, and some of the leftovers slipped past us.
Dark Dragen: This chapter goes to the Beta Reader's, Dark Lelouch3221 and Shadowmaster3324 that have been helping me, without them this chapter wouldn't have been written. You see, I had a small block… sure I knew what I wanted, but for the life of me, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find the right words to fit in it. But thanks to them, not only were they able to help me go forward, but they added some new ideas into the chapter. And so, I would like to thank them for the first half of this chapter.
'Thoughts!'
Chapter 17
8th of July:
It had been three days since Harry and Apolline 'escaped' Averna's Headquarters, and once they got to the castle within the Veela Colony, Harry collapsed from the torture and having used too much magic. Seeing this, Apolline's condition, and their nudity; the guards who found them quickly sent them both to the personal medical wing used only for the most important people in the colony. The Royal Healers were waiting at the door by the time they arrived, and treatment for both began within moments. There, as Apolline was being treated, she found her daughters in the beds in a coma like state. When she worriedly voiced her concerns, she was quickly assured they would be fine, and they would come to in a few days. They were under some kind of spell that needed to be undone, apart for that they were healthy as could be. As for her, it took an hour for the injuries that she received from the torture to be healed to the best of their ability, but apart for a few pains now and then until her injuries truly healed with time, she would be fine.
Harry though... Apolline's torture was more sexual, while Harry's was more physical and spell work, plus the spells that he was hit with as they were escaping, and so he would need more time to heal. Not only that, but his body had slipped into a regenerative coma to replenish all the magic he'd used, and to keep him from using more. He was in no danger of not waking up, and judging by his reserves refilling he would be awake in a little under a week.
It was the next morning when Apolline remembered that Harry was not alone on the island, and so had the Royal Veela Guard look for this family, starting to look for them at Nymph's Nudist Camp, seeing that it was near where she met him before.
It was around noon the following day after the escape that the Royal Veela Guard found the Grangers and explained what happened to Harry. The Grangers were downright horrified at learning what happened to Harry. That was an understatement even, they were beyond horrified, they were terrified, worried, angry and much more at what happened. All Harry did was help two young girls to find out what happened to their mother, and he ended up being tortured for information he didn't know, all because he was helping two people. So it was no surprise that they more or less ordered the Royal Veela Guard to take them to Harry.
The Grangers were taken to a wonderful palace in the center of an island city. The islands surrounding the city were large, housing the majority of the Veela Colony, while the small center island, only connected by bridges, and water filled with who knew what kind of dangers, housed the palace itself, where the royalty and their help lived.
As they were lead to the castle, which looked like something straight out of a disney movie, seemingly made from one solid piece of marble, they were lead to one of the upper floors where the Hospital Wing could be found. The Grangers found that the Hospital Wing had a private room for each patient, and housed a total of twenty rooms, each one having a number on their door. The Hospital Wing was the standard white of proper hospitals the world over, but they were informed the walls, floors, and ceilings of the rooms were made from Frakrock, a material that could only be found under the Colony, which was why they built the Colony there. Frakrock was used to help with the healing much faster, as the stone absorbed the magic used around it and, eventually, began to naturally generate it back into the air. After being in use for so long, they were pumping out a sizable amount of healing magic. Just standing in the rooms for a few minutes did wonders for any kind of injury, no matter how small.
Now the Grangers were being lead to Harry's room, the room had a warm feeling to it, with a bedside cabinet and a soft looking bed with relaxing colors. There were flowers with a sense of family, it had its own bathroom with its own hot tub with instructions; "Use with Healer's Supervision, will help to heal most internal or external wounds quickly. Soak for no more than two hours." Altogether, it felt like a place anyone would like to receive medical treatment. As they saw Harry, they could see how weak he was, not something they were used to, he always looked so strong and independent - this wasn't the Harry they knew. Whilst Dan felt anger at what happened, it was nothing compared to what the female Grangers were experiencing.
Hermione was sad and upset at what happened to her friend, and not so secret love, she knew she should have went with him, as she felt that something like this might have happened. She felt guilty, she knew the three of them hadn't been getting along, but she should have done more to go with him so this didn't happen. So right there she vowed to herself never to leave Harry's side when he went off on some kind of adventure, not if she could help it anyway.
Emma felt somewhat powerless; someone she cared about, and somewhat shamefully admitted to herself lusted over, was hurt and injured. She knew that there was nothing she could have done, but that was part of the problem, she wished she had some kind of power like her daughters had so she could have helped somehow. But she knew it was impossible. Instead she decided to look for a few books to see if there was something she could do so that Harry wouldn't be alone again should something like this come up again.
Melody was the worst though, it was taking everything that she had not to hunt down and repay them for what they had done to her Master. Like her sister, she knew she could have done more to go with him, but he said it would be a simple thing, find out what happened and return, but here he was, badly hurt and scarred - although she had to admit the scar would make him look more of a bad boy and much sexier, if she were looking for a silver lining. She should have went with him to make sure that nothing happened. Like her sister, she vowed to herself never to leave Harry's side, not if she could help it anyway. She also vowed never to forgive the child slut and her sister, it was because of them and their mother that her Master was like this and for that she would never forgive them. But she knew that she couldn't do anything to them, at least not now, but one day they'd pay for their part for what happened to her Master.
Either way, once they saw Harry the Veela Healers said they should go, as there was nothing they could do for Harry right now. So they left, but not before saying they would be back often. Once they left, the Queen's Advisers came up to and informed them that as friends of Harry's and for what he had done for the Kingdom, they were allowed to stay within the castle, which no non-Veela had been allowed the right to before. The group was also allowed to explore the colony as long as they had a member of the Royal Guard with them at all times. Dan had initially had huge restrictions placed on where and when he could go places, but after a quiet word about his condition, after the reason for the restriction were placed, was explained he was given just as much freedom as his wife and daughters.
Which they did until, a few hours later when they were lead to the castle, where the Queen had set up rooms for them until Harry came to. Although the Grangers had their own room, the two elder female Granger's would find Melody next to Harry's bed, with her head against Harry body, sleeping. This was something that continued for a few days while the rest of the Granger family went looking around the wonderful Colony and the castle.
Melody stuck by Harry's side as much as she was physically able, and Hermione spent a great deal of her time there as well, but was successfully persuaded into doing a little exploring with her parents. During this time, Hermione was thinking about how she nearly lost Harry, and about the feeling of hurt and part anger that he was with her sister and not her. Sure they made up but the resentment was still there, but seeing that she almost lost Harry, she would forget all about it if this made them happy and even allow them to hug and kiss in front of her. It might hurt her, but after this, she didn't care - she would take that kind of hurt over the hurt of losing him forever.
Either way, it was a few days later, after the Grangers were brought to the Veela Colony and they were once more within the walls of the Royal Hospital Wing, where as was the norm Melody was sitting next to her Master. She wasn't alone, Hermione was with her as her parents were looking around the castle once again; it was a beautiful place to see. As they were looking around, Harry was beginning to awaken from his coma. As he began to stir, he grumbled, "Oh my head, it feels like a Hippogriff trampled me. Scratch that, a whole herd of the bloody things..."
Before Harry could say more, he heard Melody and Hermione called out, "Harry, you're awake!"
"Mel, Hermione?" Harry blinked slowly, "Is that really you?"
"Yes, it's us," Hermione said with a smile. "What happened to you?"
Harry had to think about what he was going to tell them before he began speaking. In the end he told them of everything up until Fleur and Gabrielle blacked out, but then things became much more vague. In his story he won the fight with the Librarian and then was stunned in the back, bypassing the rape done upon his opponent. His story then placed him in the holding cells until he was brought before Averna and Appoline, painting himself as just a convenient torture doll to get Appoline to crack.
The Grangers were in a state of shock and horror. Hermione and Melody were looking at Harry in a state of sorrow, despair, and disbelief. They both, Melody more than Hermione, knew how strong Harry was and that he would never be so careless as to allow himself to be stunned from behind by an enemy - although it was possible, an enemy backing up their ally and caught Harry off guard. Harry once said that these kind of things can happen to the best of fighters. However, Hermione felt that there was more to her friend's story then he was letting on. She wasn't sure what it was, but she felt as if she had to find the truth behind Harry's story, only so that he wasn't holding anything bad back so that they wouldn't worry about him - something she knew Harry would do. However, she decided she would give him a chance to recover or until she could find a better chance to talk to him and find out the truth.
Hermione was so deep in thought that she didn't notice that Harry's right eye had a tendril of darkness swirling around, trying to attach itself to his retina. Dan and Emma were busy talking to a Veela Healer who had just entered the room. The only one that did notice was Melody, as she was worried about her Master and so was carefully keeping an eye on him, so nothing happened to him. "Master," Melody whispered so that no one heard her, she was shocked to see the tendril shoot back behind Harry's eye as though it had never been there, "Is it ok if I spend the night here with you? I just don't feel right leaving you alone for tonight at least." Harry's stern face broke out in the biggest smile that she ever saw Harry have.
"Sure Melody," Harry said happily, "you are more than welcome to stay here the night, I'll get another bed brought in here so you will have a place to sleep..."
Harry had not even finished pronouncing the last word when a sound of an explosion ripped through Harry's ears. Then his whole body began to shake, and an unbelievable pain went through his body as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. There was another loud explosion that ripped through Harry's ears, and his hands latched firmly on his ears so tightly that they drew blood.
Then suddenly an unearthly scream came from Harry's throat. It was because it was filled with magic, that it made a high pitch sound that made all the unbreakable and breakable glass items in a three mile radius shatter so finely that there wasn't even a pile of glass remaining.
The problem was that there were people caught up in the sound wave that Harry caused: Dan, Emma, Hermione, Melody and the Veela Healer. Because of this Dan, Emma, Hermione, and the Veela Healer were thrown back into the wall. Which caused the three to black out from hitting the wall so hard, Hermione was saved from this as she hit her parents, which softened the impact, and left her with a sore back for a bit. Melody was a different story, she had not long developed the skill to move at the same speed as a lightning bolt, so she was able to dash away from the sound wave, tangling herself in the blanket from moving so fast, she fell onto the floor. Narrowly avoiding the sound wave.
After the initial blast of sound. Melody and Hermione saw that Harry had begun to rise off his bed and into the air. He had only risen about a meter off the bed, when they saw Harry's body had become enveloped by a cocoon of fire originating from Harry's mouth. After Hermione was able to stand, and Melody untangled herself, the sisters stood awestruck at Harry.
Hermione was the first to act, as she ran towards her friend to see if she could do... well anything. However, before she could get anywhere near enough to do anything, the heat around the cocoon got to her, making her back up fast seeing how hot it was. "Damn it!" Hermione cursed.
Seeing that her sister back off, Melody tried to run towards her Master, trying to help him somehow. However, Hermione stopped her. "Hermione, let me go I have to help, no I need to help him!" Melody protested crossly.
"I know that Melody," Hermione said sadly, "I also want to help him too…" before she could say anything an idea popped into her head, and acted before saying. So focusing her powers, she took the water from the hot tub that was in the room and used it to surround Harry and his magical fire - hoping to weaken it long enough so Mel would be able to get to him.
As Melody saw this, she quickly realized what her sister was doing, however she could see that the water alone wasn't doing much. Yes the fire looked like it was being put out, but it was putting up a good fight and wasn't making a dent in the cocoon. So she decided to help Hermione, she did so by shifting into her Pikachu form and leaped into the cocoon of water and fire. Using the force from her jump, Melody propelled herself through the water to reach the cocoon. When Hermione saw her sister jump into the water and was swimming towards the fire cocoon, she began to focus all her magic into allowing Melody to breath while surrounded by the water.
Meanwhile, Melody was focusing all her electrical energy, which thanks to Hermione's control was kept far enough away it didn't short out her electrical charge, and slammed it into the fire cocoon. She was trying to make a hole big enough to allow her to pull her Master out.
However, little did the sisters know that Harry, on the other hand had been the one who had created the cocoon of fire, and upon feeling that someone was trying to break to get to him. At the time he wasn't sure what was going on, or where he was apart for somewhere safe and warm, and someone was trying to take him away from here. So he pooled his energy in, and released it in a controlled burst towards the intruder.
As Melody was slamming her fist against the flames, to her surprise, the fire had suddenly molded itself into a solid lava wall, making it near impossible to get through. Tears streamed down her face at her complete failure.
"Harry, Master… please if you can hear me please let me help you!" Melody screamed, muffled by the water, all that Hermione could hear was gurgling. The flames had stopped moving, for a few short moments, Melody thought that her Master had heard her cries to allow her to help him - so she stopped and waited.
However, a few seconds later Melody had to dodge when she was attacked by the flames that she, just moments ago, had been attacking. After dodging the attacks for a few moments, which they got faster and faster as she dodged them, she was hit with such force that not only was she thrown out of the water, but the attack had rattled her bones. She was lucky enough to have landed on her hands and knees.
As Melody landed, her sister ran up to her and comforted her, "Melody are you alright?" Asked a worried Hermione.
"I'm fine sis, but I need to get to Harry." Melody said, upset about not being to help him.
"And we will, I swear we will." Hermione reassured her sister, then before they could do anything, they saw the lava wall become flames again. This time the flames merged with the water, and after a few seconds the fire disappeared as it became nothing more than steam. As the steam cleared, the sisters once again see Harry who had fallen into a sleep like state. As all the steam began to clear, Harry also began to gently float back onto the bed.
It was another ten minute before the Healer and the Elder Grangers awoke, where they found two sisters sitting around Harry's bed looking worriedly for him. They then asked what happened, and they were informed about the sudden sound wave, Harry floating in the air, and surrounded in some kind of magical cocoon - they didn't inform the Healer it was made from fire. In fact, if they didn't want to know what happened, they wouldn't have told them even that much, but they thought it was important to find out what happened to Harry. As the sisters were explaining this to the adults, Melody was tightly wrapped around Harry's waist as he slept.
Once this was done, Emma asked, "Do you know what happened Healer Kara? Is he alright?"
"He'll be fine." Healer Kara declared as she cast a few spells on Harry, "He was already weak from what happened to him, and the sudden use of magic when he only just regained consciousness is always dangerous. He was lucky that he only lost consciousness again, he could have been killed. Especially with the amount of magic that he used. He should be waking back up in a few hours, but he should stay here for the next few days to make sure he is fine."
Hearing that her Master would wake in a few hours Melody refused to move from Harry's side. Also to everyone's shock Hermione climbed onto the bed and wrapped herself around Harry "I will stay with the both of them." Hermione said softly as she wrapped her arms around Harry's torso, "If - if any-anything happens, we will be the only ones with the strength to keep him safe. But do you know what happened to him?"
Emma and Dan just smiled as they heard what Hermione said, they knew that he would be fine here, but they knew that their daughter needed a reason to stay behind to look after the boy she cared about so much and so made a lame reason up.
As for the Healer, she was casting a few more spells on Harry before she stopped and looked in awe at him, before saying in shock, "H-He went th-through The Surge…"
"A what?" asked Emma.
"T-The Surge, a very rare magical event that happens among wizards and witches," Healer Kara began to explain, "as far as I know over the last four hundred years, only seven wizards witches has went through it. I believe that Albus Dumbledore was the last one to went through it, although it is rumoured that your Dark Lord, Voldemort went through it too."
"But what is The Surge?" asked Hermione, her curiosity piqued at learning something new.
"How to explain it..." Healer Kara began, as she thought how to explain this, "I would say going through The Surge refines a wizards/witches magic, making them stronger and gives them a better control over their magic. And should they be able to use Elemental Magic, depending what they were learning, they won't be able to learn any other Element. Meaning, if one say a wizard was learning Water Magic, that'll be the only Element they could learn. However, if they haven't learned a Element before The Surge, they won't be able to do so. There are other methods to learning the other elements, but outside sources must be used."
The Grangers were shocked as they heard this, it would seem that once Harry woke up, he would be more powerful and have more control of his magic then he already had. It was good that Harry knew how to do Elemental Magic such as Fire, as he along with Hermione and Melody wanted to learn all the Elements that they could. It was a shame that Harry couldn't learn any other, although with his bond with Aneira, Harry might be able to learn Ice Magic too. Either way, Healer Kara left the group alone to talk.
It would be a few hours later before Harry awoke again: he would find a sleeping Melody around his waist and a snoozing Hermione around his stomach. Emma and Dan would have left to see the wonderful city of the Veela once again. Not wanting to wake the sister's up, Harry lay there for a few moments before deciding to get some more rest.

11th of July:
A few days after the incident Harry was still forced to stay in bed for a few days to make sure that his magic was fully recovered. Well, recovered enough for the Healers not to worry about. During this time Harry was glad to see Hermione and Melody visiting him daily, along with their parents. They told him what they were doing, and what they had seen. Being told the wonderful stories, Harry was acting his age was eager to see the city and the castle and couldn't wait to see the places himself.
Harry was glad he wasn't as bored as he suspected he would be in a Hospital Wing; he had plenty of visitors and kept himself amused with little difficulty. When it was just him and the adult Grangers, the girls were ordered by their parents to take some time to themselves and relax, that they would keep Harry company he had some fun with them. He used Mind Trick on them, it was easy seeing that they didn't suspect him of using it on them. With Dan he continued to make him more of sub, having him do odd jobs for him. For Emma, he had her show her breasts off as she massaged them in front of him, but made sure that neither she nor Dan realize that she was doing so. Harry knew if he was sure he wouldn't get caught, he would have gone further with her. He also made sure that during the massage, there was a small bit of oral for him involved and he was impressed with her performance.
Now with Hermione he just talked with her, he knew that she knew what he could do, and she had a well ordered and strong mind and willpower, so it wouldn't work on her. For Melody, during the day she was with her sister so they only talked, but during the night he and Melody were having far naughtier sorts of fun.
He wasn't only visited by the Granger Family, but also Appoline and her daughters, Fleur and Gabrielle, they thanked him for what he did - although Fleur seemed to be a bit cold towards him, it would seem that she was upset that he helped at all and she couldn't do a thing, it would seem she didn't trust males at all, even those that had helped her - and told him that the Veela Queen wanted to see him when he recovered to thank him for his action towards her family. Harry said it was nothing, acting the part of the modest hero. Gabrielle was reigned in constantly, as she was always trying to sneak into his bed, flirt with him, sit next to him and place his hand on her body, or even just outright touching him.
However, the day finally came that Harry was allowed out of the Hospital Wing, and he couldn't be more happy about it. So he was once dressed, the Granger family began to show Harry around the wonderful castle and where they staying.
The Castle was old, ancient even. There were doors everywhere. They were all the same though; large doors, made from ancient redwood trees, from what he was able to guess. There were elegant tapestries all around the hall, some depicting battles that seemed to have been waged all throughout time, while others were of past rulers.
There were many other images around the halls. Large feasts, battles, treaties and many other significant historical events of Veela history. There was another tapestry that drew Harry's eye. Not just because the artwork was beautiful, and beautifully created. It was also because there were gorgeous, barely clothed Veela women, praying and bowing in front of it.
It was there that Harry spotted Melody and Hermione talking to each other and admiring the artwork when Harry snuck up behind them "Well, ladies the only thing that could beat the beauty of these pieces of art is you two." He said lightly to the sisters, as to not surprise them.
"Well either that was an attempt of flattery or you've spent too long in the hospital." Hermione said as she turned and wrapped her arms around Harry's back and squeezed him tight, then gave him a peck on the cheek. Right after that Melody pushed through and squeezed Harry as tight as she could, then stood on her toes as to kiss him on the lips.
Hermione had to look away, she knew they were together but she still didn't like seeing them kiss like that.
It was an hour later in the castle where Harry suddenly felt a familiar pull that he felt once before, it was similar to the pull he felt the time that he got his familiar, Aneira.
Speaking of, Harry was happy to hear that Aneira was within Hermione and Melody's room, when he entered the room, Harry could feel the relief coming off her at seeing him, and that she was worried about him. They play fought for a while, before she came with them to look around the castle - she didn't want to leave her Master alone again to get hurt.
Either way, Harry lead his group through a secret pathway, one the others hadn't found or been told about before. Normally if a pathway was so well hidden, the Grangers would have stopped, but their curiosity got the better of them as they wondered what Harry could be sensing and so followed him. The pathway lead up a flights of stairs that kept leading higher and higher up the castle, it felt as if they were going as high as the Hospital Wing, maybe even higher than that.
Before long the group came upon an old looking room, that had a few torches alight to show just enough of the room, but at the same time make it still dark. Harry and the Granger sensed a strange eerie feel to the room, and Emma and Dan felt it would be best for them to leave. Harry though wanted to go forward for two reason, to find out what was the pull he was feeling was about, and to see the tapestries that he was able to see. He wondered why they were up here, where no one was able to see - so he kept on working. As he entered the room fully, the torches came alive as the room had brighten up enough to see in it properly.
The first thing they saw properly, was what were on the tapestries; they weren't as elegant as the rest that they had seen around the castle. Instead, they were old and tattered, it was like they were left here to rot away, forgotten. The tapestries were of naked Veela kneeling in front in front of men, and being used by them as they were nothing more than toys to be used and thrown away once they were done with. Harry and the others wondered what this was about, but they had a feeling they would never know seeing that these tapestries were well hidden, to hide this past or whatever it was. It wouldn't surprise them if they would never talk about it to outsiders like them.
Either way, as they looked around, apart for the tapestries, they found an old oak door. As they took a closer look at it, they found the that it was lined with runes and other markings that looked far older than most parts of the castle that they had seen so far. Between the door though was two huge Rock Golems, it was like they were guarding the door. Harry sensed the pull coming from behind the door, and as he reach out to open the door. When two Veela in armour appeared, and stood in front of the door.
The two Veela guards were both clad in immaculate white armour. The armour was not ceremonial; in fact, both guards looked ready for battle. The armour was composed of pure white plate mail, but around their upper arms and thighs one could see an undercoating of fine, metallic white scales meant to allow greater range of movement. A large kite shield, adorned with a large, white symbol in the centre, rested in their left hands, making up for the fact that the armour on their left arms lacked. The pair each wielded a matching sword, comprised of an extended, white metal hilt with a hook extending from a secondary handle; the blade extended out from underneath this secondary handle. Neither was spectacular in appearance or else unique looking, but Harry could tell, even from where he stood yards away, that they were extremely well crafted.
Both guards wore no nonsense expressions, not even pretending to be friendly as the group drew closer.
"Back away, you're not permitted here." The first Veela declared as she pointed her sword at them, making Aneira hiss in defence, "This is a sacred place that only the Elder Veela are allowed to enter. I don't know how you found this place, but it would be for the best that you leave and forget what you have seen here, or we'll be forced to take action."
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to see what was behind the door. I felt a pull towards-" Harry began to explain, as he stroked Aneira to calm her down. But before he could say more, there was a sudden high pitched screech followed by the sounds of doors opening. Those who were in the chamber only had time to see the ancient door being blown off its hinges by a powerful wave of reddish-black flames, before they seemed to surround Harry.
Everyone was too distracted by that to do anything but stare as Harry was engulfed in red/black flames, the heat that was coming from it was overwhelming, it was too much for them and they were forced to step back, even the guards. But what shocked them was that Harry didn't seem to be affected by these flames. For Harry himself, he wasn't sure what was going on, he could see that Aneira, the Grangers and the Veela were being forced back by an invisible force - he didn't know about how hot it was for them. Harry just shrugged his shoulders, at that moment he wasn't that all that bothered, as something from the other side of the door was calling to him. It was much stronger now that the door was open, so he turned and walked into the room.
As Harry entered the room, he found himself in a shrine of some kind. The room itself was round, the outer layer had a path way leading to the shrine, the floor covered in beautiful floor tiles. As for the shrine itself, it was made up of pillars within a circle, the pillars had strange old symbols and markings. Within the circle there was a magical stand floating in the centre of it, surrounded by five torch stands that were alight with reddish-black flames - at a closer look the torches were placed in order to make a pentagram. On top of the floating stand was a large egg - at least two feet tall - the egg was midnight black with a blue pattern that could only be described as the patterns that light makes when you see it from the under the water. This pattern also happened to be moving and shifting, creating a hypnotic effect - the egg was also engulfed in the red/black flames. As Harry got to the stand, he saw that around the egg, on the stand, were more old markings that looked to be several centuries old.
As Harry got to the stand, the flames disappeared and he felt compelled to touch it. But as he did, he heard something like Parseltongue, hissing sound within his mind, § 'Who'sss there? Isss that you mother? If hasss been ssso long, where have you been?' §
Harry looked around to see if he could find the snake that talked to him, but he found nothing or anyone, it took a few moments before he realized that whatever it was talking in his mind was most likely coming from the egg. So not knowing what else to do, Harry replied § 'I'm sorry but I'm not your mother. Are you the egg that's talking to me, if so what are you?' §
§ 'What happened to my mother?' § Asked the egg.
§ 'I don't know,' § Harry answered with a hint of sadness, knowing very well what it was like not knowing what happened to ones mother, § 'I was following a pull on my magic, when I was lead to this room.' §
§ 'Do you know how long it hasss been?' § The egg asked, § 'How long I have been here?' §
§ 'I'm sorry, but I don't know. OI don't even know where I am.' § Harry said, § 'But by the looks of things it has been centuries since someones' come in here.' §
§ 'Thank you for letting me know,' § Hissed the egg sadly. § 'When I firssst awoke not long ago, I felt your power and thought you were my mother. You felt asss ssstrong asss ssshe usssed to be. I'm sssorry for thinking that.' §
§ 'It's alright little one,' § Harry said to the egg, § 'If you want you could become my familiar, when I was following the power I felt, I thought it was a familiar pull. If you become my familiar, I could take you with me and help you to hatch. Even if you don't want to be my familiar, I could still take you with and help you hatch and you can decide then what to do.' §
The egg seemed to think about this - at least that's the impression Harry got from the proceeding pregnant silence - unsure what to do, it was wondering if it was the last of its kind or not. But one thing was sure, whatever the case he wouldn't bond itself to anyone, he was a powerful being and wouldn't be bond to anyone, even if the person was powerful like this person was. It seemed to be a few moments before the hissing returned within his mind, § 'I've decccided, I'll come with you, but I won't become your familiar, my kind never bond itssself to another and never will.' §
§ 'That's fine with me, you're not being forced into anything.' § Harry told the egg, then a thought came to him, and asked, § 'I would like to ask, what is your race?' §
The egg didn't speak but seemed content to send out vibrations through the air that let others know it was active. Since it was quickly becoming apparent he wasn't going to get anything else from the egg, Harry picked up the round object.
However, as he did so it began to transform; for a few moments the egg caught on fire before it developed what most people would say was a molten crust. It wasn't perfect though, there were cracks all around the egg. Looking closer revealed black flames running down the cracks. Harry was surprised, by the looks of it, his eyes told him such an option would be too hot to hold, but his hands said otherwise. Although it was slightly heavy it felt like it belonged in his arms, surrounded by his flames which it seemed to soak up, like a baby does to formula.
As Harry walked out of the shrine, the Grangers looked at him in worry as he came out, and Emma asked, "Are you alright Harry, what were you thinking walking into danger like that?"
The girls were nodding agreement with their mother, and so Harry replied to calm their nerves, "I'm sorry about that, but it felt as if I had to go in, and in a way I was right…" and then he told them what happened. It wasn't as if there was anything to hide about it. They were amazed, and wondered what kind of creature was within the egg, Hermione suspected that it could be some kind of serpent, a magical snake of some kind because of the hissing. The other couldn't help but agree, it would make sense too.
As this was happening, the Veela behind them were looking at Harry strange, they were beyond speechless for they had been guarding this egg since the last of its kind died off several centuries prior - or so they believed, some believed that the race went into hiding never to be seen again. Ever way, not one person had ever been able to make the react like this, but now someone, a child no less - even more shocking it wasn't a Veela, but a male human, something they were disgusted about - had come around and was able to awaken the egg. Something none of their race could do before.
The Veela Guards were also disgusted that not only was a male human able to awaken the egg, but he was able to touch it in the first place. They were Veela, being creatures of fire, and yet they had long since learned that they were unable to touch the egg, for if they tried to even try, it would burn all whom they believed it deemed unworthy - not even the Royal Family could touch it - though only a handful knew this, it wouldn't do if the rest of their race found out that they couldn't do it either. But here, this child was holding the egg that none that had come to touch like it was no great task. It was definitely a sign, whether a good or bad sign would be determined upon a later time.
For now though, the Veela Queen had to be informed about this, so they had Harry and the Grangers follow them down a hidden pathway that lead to the throne room, where they met up with the Queen. Here after getting over the shock of finding out that the egg reacted to Harry, she informed him that it was a great honour to be chosen by the egg, as they tried ever since they found it, centuries ago. Then she went on to explain about the race, and how the egg was the last of its kind.
After explaining what the egg was, the Queen thanked Harry for helping her and told him that the Grangers and he could stay here for the rest of their holidays - as it was the least she could do, and said anything they wanted just asked. Although the egg belonged to them, they saw that it was reacting to him more than they so as part of her thanks to saving her sister, she allowed Harry to keep the egg. They also gave him a special stand for the egg, which would not only keep it safe from anyone apart for him, but also to keep it hot enough to allow it to hatch. So with that Harry and the Granger thanked the Queen, before leaving so that the Grangers could show Harry around the city.
o0OoO0o
For the rest of the day, the Grangers showed Harry around the Colony, which he found quite beautiful. Everything within the Colony was pure white, the Colony was founded on the edge of the island. The main part of the Colony was a small island, where most of the Veela lived, and it was built upon three layers. Although all the buildings were beautiful and you couldn't really tell, the lower class of the Veela lived at the bottom, the rich in the middle and the Royal Family lived at the top.
There were six bridges leading out to the outer part of the Colony, where you could find the farm land, business, museums and such. Harry noticed that just as you walk out of the main Colony, you would find three areas where you could look down at, an example where the walls that parted the water. Down there Harry was told that people worked to keep the water and heating going for the buildings above, along with the power. Harry wasn't told what power it was, or what its source was, just that people walked down there to keep it going, but he guessed that whatever property the water had, it was really important maybe he would come back here to take a sample with him later; either that or he could gain the trust of the Royal Family so they would be the ones to tell him instead. He didn't know which one was harder.
Then again maybe he was just over thinking it. It wasn't like he'd been warned away from the area. For all he knew he was perfectly allowed to just take a stroll down there.
As the day went by, Harry enjoyed seeing the city, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and so he and the Grangers went back to the castle and to their rooms that they were assigned to and once they had dinner and walked around the castle for a bit, they went to bed for the night.
After four hours however Harry woke from his slumber with the egg wrapped tightly in his arms - he found himself full of energy, as if he had a full restful nights sleep. It felt strange, knowing he had only a few hours sleep but felt as if he had slept for hours. Seeing that he was now awake, he looked around but saw no one, Mel and Hermione were forced to leave earlier by their parents so that he could get some sleep.
Harry wondered, seeing he was awake and fully rested, what he could do. Putting the egg on the stand that the Veela gifted him, Harry summoned a small flame in his hand as he got up to look round for his clothes. Once he found his clothes and had a wash, he wondered what to do.
At first he decided he would look through his school books, get ready for his new school year and learn a few new things, but those plans changed as he spotted the gauntlet that he got at Christmas; he couldn't believe he'd forgot all about it. He'd used it a few times whilst at Hogwarts, to gain the orbs, but since summer started he forgot all about it. But now he'd found it again and he found himself fully awake and with nothing better to do, so he decided he would go to the forest that he'd seen outside of the Colony while he was receiving the tour of the Colony.
But as he placed out the gauntlet into a bag and left his room, he saw the one person that he didn't want to see right now; the Librarian Aisha. Upon seeing her, and not seeing anyone about and before Aisha could react, Harry grabbed hold of her neck and slammed her into the wall. "What are you doing here Aisha?"
"L-Let me go you fool." Aisha said in pain, "We're both on the same side and working for Mistress Averna."
"What's your point?" Harry asked with a smirk, "I can kill you and tell the Queen that you were the spy for Mistress Averna." he hated the thought of calling anyone Mistress, but for the time being he had to play along. "That'll help Mistress Averna even more, as it would make the Queen trust me even more, and help to get the bow even quicker. Sure she might not like it that I ousted you, but if it gets the bow I doubt she'll care too much. So tell me why I shouldn't kill you?"
Aisha couldn't deny that logic, not one bit, it would make it easier for him to complete his appointed task. So, following her Mistress's orders - hoping it would save her life, even if she didn't like the orders for what she would be forced to do - she said, "I've been sent by Mistress Averna, I'm here for your needs, whatever they could be, I'm here as you need me."
"Oh, and if your death suits my needs?" Harry asked, as he caught on what she was getting at. Using his free hand caressed her breast as he went on to say "Then again, I really would like to finish what we started earlier..."
Aisha shuddered at the thought, but she had a job to do, "There is nothing really to stop you, but do you really want to anger Mistress Averna by killing me? You might be powerful, but not as powerful as our Mistress, she would punish you severely. Either way, Mistress Averna sent me to you to take care of you, be it pleasure and business. Do jobs that would make you look suspicious otherwise." At this point she was trying hard not to moan in pleasure at what the bastard was doing to her, she couldn't let him know he was getting to her. She was glad as he stopped and let her down.
As much as he hated to admit it, the bitch was right, he couldn't afford getting Averna angry at him for this. And if Averna had sent Aisha to take care of him he could always have Aisha later on. And she was right about doing jobs that would make him look suspicious, he would need things done that would make him look bad should he get caught, so having someone else do it would be better for him. Accordingly, he let her go and asked, "Is there anything else? I've got better things to do tonight then to deal with you."
As he said this, Harry saw Aisha take an orb shaped object from her robes and give it to him, as she did, Harry asked, "What is this?"
"This is what Mistress Averna calls a Lacrima, a Magic crystalline substance." Aisha explained.
"What does this Lacrima do?" Harry asked with interest.
"They can do all sorts." Aisha explained, "Mistress Averna said that a Lacrima can be powered up with different spells, and can be used for different purposes. Mistress calls this one a Communications Lacrima Crystal. As it sounds it allows you to communicate with others that has one. In this case man and Mistress Averna, so that you can talk to either of us and not get people suspicious of you."
Harry found this item very useful, and so pocketed it for later use, "I'll come to see you later to find out how to work it, for now I've got better things to do than talk to you right now." Harry was getting impatient, and wanted to do something, and as much as he might like it, he didn't want to use his energy against Aisha. But he would if she wouldn't let him go.
"Oh and what could be more important than this?" Aisha asked with a smirk, knowing that this was getting to Harry.
"If you must know, for reasons I'm not sure of, I have extra energy to deal with." Harry explained darkly, "So unless you want to help me to get rid of this extra energy, you'll let me go and we can talk more later."
Aisha paled at the thought of Harry taking his extra energy out of her; that was one thing she didn't want. She might be ordered to pleasure him when he wanted, but it didn't mean she had to like it or agree to it. She was Mistress Averna's and would prefer it that way, but she was loyal to her Mistress and would do what she was told. But then a thought came to her, the possible reason for the extra energy of Harry's. She didn't like the idea, as if she was right then it could mean she could be seeing him more at nights than she would have liked. So she asked, "Are the rumours around here true? Have you gone through The Surge?"
Harry looked amused at the thought of the Veela gossiping, but asked with interest, "What if I have?"
Aisha looked at Harry in disbelieve, before saying, "The imbeciles didn't tell you about the side effects did they?" She went on as if Harry admitted to it, "There are three side effects of going through the The Surge.. Firstly, as you might have noticed by now, although your magic becomes stronger, you'll have more energy than you used to. meaning you're able to do more. Second, because of you having more energy, you'll need less sleep than before, no more than about four hours at least. And lastly the third side effect is meant to be different for each person that goes through The Surge, the person gains a new power and sometimes it takes time for that power to reveal itself. For some it could be able to control an elemental power that they couldn't do before, or they could gain the ability to do wandless magic. For you though, I wouldn't know what power you may gain."
"Hmm," Harry hummed thoughtfully at this. So he would need less sleep, but would have more energy to spend too? Not a bad trade, though finding things to do to fill the time suddenly freed up would be annoying at first. Either way, he had things to do. He sent an expectant look her way.
Aisha shuddered at what the expression would mean for her and hurried to get out of the way.
o0OoO0o
An hour later found Harry in the forest near the Colony. During his time in the forest, Harry had faced and gathered lifeforce from some creatures. Those being Chupacabra - a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail - Satyrs and Satyresses, creatures with a human upper bodies, and the horns and hindquarters of a goat which give him some Brown Lifeforce, he even found some Blue Lifeforce when he found a pack/group of pixies. Additionally he a few Green Lifeforce when he found a dryad's tree that he set alight. Although, once he did, Harry wished that there was some way to control the dryad, as its race is powerful and were able to control the nature around them - having even one or two on his side would be something. He made a mental note to get a few on them on his side so they could set up outside whatever base he set up.
It was not long after killing the dryad that he saw some strange creatures coming out of the shadows, 'Finally, they show themselves.' Harry thought with a grin. Since he entered the forest, he thought he sensed someone watching him - which wouldn't be the first time he felt such thing, but this time it was different somehow.
Harry counted more than ten unidentified creatures of probably the same species, presumably at least part elf from what he could make out - black-skinned and pale haired in appearance, slim but athletic build, with large eyes and large pointed ears - But the thing was, although elves were known for their elitist arrogance, they were more known or somewhat resented for their beauty, something most of these creatures didn't have as they were in one shape or form deformed. Their lower bodies were of a body of a spider, and for a few that's all that was deformed about them. But for two of them, they upper bodies were more scalelike, they looked like they were more spider then human, without the extra eyes, and their hands were like claws. There were a few that although they looked like a mix of Drow and Spider, they were better looking and stronger than those who look sick looking.
Now of them spoke no words, they hadn't done anything to show if they were a threat or not. In fact, the only thing they did was look at him with dark smiles.
"Who are you? What are you? And why are you here?" Harry asked the … creatures.
They didn't make any move to speak, or move.
"I said speak!" Harry commanded.
The creature stepped away from a pissed Harry, as he pushed his magic out and summoned a circle of fire around the creatures, stopping them from moving any further away. They stepped forward, sneering at Harry.
Then suddenly Harry was taken off guard to see his flames parting and the spider Drows part to make a path way. As they did this, Harry saw a the biggest spider Drow yet. It was a female, who had a lower body spider of a black widow, and a upper body of a very attractive woman. She had breasts easily the side of her head, which were completely uncovered by the corset she wore, which naturally had a cobweb style stitches into it. The difference between her and the other spider creatures became even more apparent as the gold jewellery she wore on her legs and 'feet' glinted in the moonlight, accompanied by armour on what would be her waist and should. Atop her head was a spiderweb patterned tiara.
Looking up at what Harry suspected to be the leader of these deformed Drow, if the way the other were acting was anything to go by, he asked her, "So who are you and why are you here?"
"Are you the true wielder of the Dark Gauntlet?" The leader asked in a soft voice, but with a hint of danger within it too.
"This?" Harry asked, holding up his arm to show the metal gauntlet adorned on his arm.
"Of course." The… Queen(?) replied.
'Dark Gauntlet,' Harry thought to himself, 'At least I have an actual name for it.' A sudden movement to his left snapped him out of his thoughts. At an impressive speed, Harry reached the disturbed bushes only to find nothing, much to his confusion. For the Spider Lady and the others though, they had never seen anyone do that before, not even the previous Overlords, had this level of skill.
As Harry turned to look at the Spider Drow, he saw their stunned looks on the creatures faces. "You still haven't answered my questions," Harry reminded them with a bemused smile, caused by their looks from his display of speed and reflexes. "who are you?"
"I'm Lolth, the Queen of the Driders, young Overlord." The now confirmed Queen identified.
"And what is it that you want from me?" Harry asked with interest.
"Overlord," Queen Lolth started "It has came to our notice that you've come into the possession of a powerful artifact. The Dark Gauntlet. As you may have known or have been told it's last owner was only known as the Overlord or as your people called him, 'The Dark One.'"
"I know of this, but it doesn't explain what you want from me." Harry said, not impatiently, but rather wanting to skip the useless bits. "And why come tonight? I've been on this island for a while."
Lolth couldn't help to see his point, so she answered, "We were taking a 'wait and see' attitude, to see how things went with you. However, a few days ago when we sensed that you went through the Surge so we decided to talk to you now. You see, the previous Overlords were incredibly powerful sorcerer, wizard, warlock, whatever you wish to classify them as, so we wanted to see how powerful you had become. You feel stronger than before."
"To be honest I do feel much stronger than I did before." Harry explained. "Now that I've been through the Surge, it was as if I was weak. It was like I had some kind limit of what I could do, before I had to rest, also I had a hard time controlling my magic. Also it was like I could barely hear the flame. But now I feel like I have much more magic, and my magical core has changed somehow." Harry explained "Although I'm learning power control again, so that I don't overpower my spells, I feel as if I have greater control of it, I can do much more than I used to."
That seemed to hit the mark with some of the Driders. There were some mumbles between them, but Harry couldn't get what they were saying, but he thought he heard something on the lines of "God damn ignorant wizard folk!"
A bolt of fire crackles at the feet of the one who said that, sending him skittering backwards in surprise and, which only grew as he looked up to find Harry glaring at him.
"Insult me again and the next one drills a hole between your eyes." He threatened. "I realize my education is lacking, but I think we can all accept it would be better for everyone's health if instead of mocking me you instead filled these educational holes."
The Queen raised an interested eyebrow at the power of the warning shot; it was the same level of power as some of the Overlords that had already taken their seat at the throne and received a boost from it. The only Overlord that didn't need to be on the throne to gain this power was the one that the Wizarding World knew as the 'Dark One,' and that was because he a Fire Elementalist. Could it be that this person was a Fire Elementalist too, or did he already take the throne and they didn't know about it? If he did take the Overlord's throne, where were those blasted minions? Those little bastards were never far from their Master.
So the Queen asked, "How did you do that? Did take the Overlord's throne?"
"What throne?" Harry asked, not sure what the queen was talking about.
"The Overlord's throne, the one that allows you to gain the title of Overlord fully and everything that comes with it." The Queen explained. "Seeing that you didn't know this, I can assume you haven't."
Harry just nodded in agreement, not really caring about this just yet, just why they were here. So he asked, "I would like to know why you're here. Are you here to take me to this throne?"
"I am not." Queen Lolth laughed at him, although Harry didn't get what was funny. "No, we are here to see what you're going to do once you have the title fully."
"I'm planning to become just like the Dark One," Harry smirked evilly, "taking over where he left off and -"
"That's all we wanted to hear." Queen Lolth sighed, "We can't allow you become like the Dark One…" and with those words two of the Driders attacked Harry without warning, whilst the other protect the Queen.
But thanks to his training over the years he was able to fight off the attackers, and went on the counter-attack, throwing fireball with pinpoint accuracy.
This kept them at bay, killing half their numbers before one of them hacked up some kind of thick golden substance that it rapidly shaped into a crude looking blade. It was sharp enough though, evidenced by the whistle of air as it swept over Harry's hurriedly ducked form. The Drider swordsman didn't expect the flame encased knife palm that sheared straight through it's sword wrist though.
With a garbled scream the creature reared back in pain, but not far enough as Harry grabbed the 'sword' out of the air - severed and charred hand still gripping it - spun it around, and then savagely drove it straight into the Drider's throat. The disarmed swordsman collapsed with a wheeze, clawing at it's throat for a few seconds before it died, a bright green ball of lifeforce rising from it's corpse to be quickly absorbed into the gauntlet on Harry's wrist, which hummed in an almost content manner at the 'meal'.
The Queen was quickly ushered away by her guards. While she would have liked to stay and help fight the new Overlord, her guards refused to risk her safety, especially when their enemy had just torn through nearly a dozen warriors in the span of roughly thirty seconds. With one last scowl she allowed herself to be pulled away, slinking into the shadows with terrifying grace bellying her size.
Harry was only distantly aware of this, all he registered were the majority of his remaining foes leaving the battlefield, leaving behind a single warrior. He was rather amused to see it was the one that had mocked him earlier.
Acknowledging this, he sent a mocking grin his way and lit a single tiny fireball in his hand, barely enough to light a candle.
The Drider growled, and with blurring speed hacked up webbing as well, as his comrade had before, only this time in addition to a long sword he also created a crude but sizable shield to cover his front. They dried in an eye blink, and in the next the now deadly armed Drider charged with a war cry, raising the shield to cover it's body to protect from ranged attacks.
Or at least that's what he thought.
With a predatory smirk Harry took a step forward and hurled him arm forward hard enough to send him forward onto one foot like a profession pitcher. The tiny candle flame streaked through the air, less of a flickering fire and more of a beam of light due to its speed that just disappeared when it hit the shield.
The Drider lifted its shield away and Harry chuckled to see his eyes crossed, staring at the pinky finger size hole right between its eyes, which proceeded to roll up into the back of its head before he too collapsed, a ball of green light exploding from the corpse before it even hit the ground.
Not stopping for a rest or looking around, Harry snapped his arm up to point at the forest where the Queen had fled. A fireball the size of the Queen herself was launched from his palm. It vaporized anything in its path, but Harry didn't stick around to see the damage. He already knew it wouldn't hit the target. It was a message, not an attack. It was the strongest attack he could use without charging it first.
If that was what he could use with a flick of his wrist using nothing but fire manipulation, then what else did he have at his disposal?
Harry felt he got his point across very nicely.

Unbeknown to Harry and the Driders, everything that had been said and done so far that night was being watched by an unsuspected visitor to the forest that night: Hermione Granger. You see since she became an hybrid from Harry's Tigran, Aneira, last year at Hogwarts, she had gotten all the benefits that the Tigran had, which she was able to master easily enough with time and practice, but she also got some of the drawbacks too. Like not being able to stand the extreme heat too much, she could bear with it, but it could become uncomfortable at time - she envied Aneira, who got to laze about in the cool cabins all day, an activity she herself indulged in whenever she could.
However, that wasn't the drawback that Hermione hated the most, it was the other drawback, the one that all cats went through, and that is going into heat. That's right, she, Hermione Granger, was coming into heat - it was embarrassing to talk about, neither her family nor Harry knew about it, she'd made very certain of that, something her new grace and agility had certainly helped with. It had happened a few times before now, and she had always been able to take care of herself, and she would be fine afterwards.
However tonight was different somehow, she had 'taken care of herself' more than three times and yet she was still in need of relief.
She realized that she needed something more, something that she alone could not do, and so decided to go and see if Harry was up to helping her. She wouldn't normally even think of this, seeing that he was dating her sister, but she needed this. There was two reasons why Harry; one, there was no one else to ask for help, and second, even if there was someone to ask Harry was the only one she trusted and desired to help with this and not use it against her later on.
So, making sure that Melody was asleep, Hermione left their room and went to Harry's. She had never expected to discover that Harry would be wide awake, not with the busy day that they had - in fact if it wasn't for her being in heat tonight she too would be blissfully asleep.
With this in mind, she was nearly caught as she brazenly walked around the last corner to his room only to all but hurl herself backwards as she was nearly spotted by Harry as he left his room, looking wide awake and completely rested. She would have went to talk to him, but by the time she picked herself up and looked around the corner the sight she came to find was Harry holding one of what she could only guess was one of the Veela Maid coming to check up on them and make sure their needs were met (as they had been doing every other hour or so) by the throat against the wall. She smothered her gasp with her hand, which she kept clasped over her mouth to remain silent and listen in.
Hermione couldn't hear everything, but she heard Harry and the Veela, who Harry called Aisha, talk about someone called Mistress Averna and about Harry getting some kind of bow for this Mistress. As she listened, she was shocked how evil he was acting, as she heard him talking about killing Aisha as it was nothing, and as they finished talking hinted that if Aisha didn't leave him alone and allow him to pass he would rape her. Made even more confusing was her sensitive nose picking up signs of arousal from the Veela in addition to an increase in anger within her scent.
As she listened to what was being said, Hermione was shock at herself, she was never been one for the bad-boy types - she was, after all, brought up to obey the rules and the law. But there was something about Harry, even being the worst-boy possible that she just found irresistible and couldn't help but be drawn to. She had already broken a few school rules because of him, or because it would help him in one way or another, so would it be that hard to think that she would break the law for him, or even kill for him?
'No, I'm a good person I wouldn't break the law or kill anyone, not even for Harry.' Hermione thought, dismissing the crazy thought as quick as she could, only to immediately concede. 'Sure I've broken a few rules, b-but that's only because we didn't have any other options at the time.' She ignored the echo of the thrill she'd experienced while doing so with practiced ease. She was a good girl.
Either way, Hermione knew that she would have to get to the bottom of everything, but thought it could wait until she was back to normal, or as normal as she could become. Then once Harry let go of Aisha, he left the castle, and she couldn't just not follow him at that point, just in case he got into trouble and needed back-up, as tended to happen when he want on walks, or strolls, or did basically anything that involved leaving the area that could be dubbed as their home area.
Hermione followed Harry to the forest where he killed a few animals. Curiously, orbs of light seemed to raise from their bodies and get sucked into the strange gauntlet Harry was wearing. Hermione had to wonder how the two were connected, or how the orbs appeared in the first place, as from what she knew, this sort of thing shouldn't be possible - orbs coming from the dead. That would be another thing she would have to ask Harry later.
Then a short while later, she saw Harry talking to some strange looking creature calling themselves Driders. Once again Hermione wasn't able to hear fully what was being said, and nearly got herself caught again when she got too close, but she was well hidden that he didn't see her, even though he was barely three feet from her. Still, she caught the basic idea. They were talking about Harry becoming... something, something they feared; the leader of the Driders, Queen Lolth, called it the Overlord. Would he be the same as the Overlord they called 'Dark One,' or different being? - which Harry said he would be following the footsteps of a second later.
Hermione wasn't sure who the 'Dark One' was, but she thought she had heard the name before, it must have been bad, because as soon as Harry confirmed it, he was attacked. Hermione prepared to jump in, only to find that Harry not only held his ground, but utterly slaughtered the spiders that stayed behind to fight him.
She was rooted in place, even after Harry left at a leisurely pace back towards the palace. She had just seen Harry kill a dozen creatures. It should have bothered her, even if it was done in what was entirely self-defence, but she was completely unaffected. Worse than that, her heat was getting so intense it felt like her brain was going to be cooked from within her skull. The power Harry had shown spoke to something within her on a primal level; he was strong, he would surely seed her and she would birth many strong children. She gave a low hiss, 'Filthy creatures. How dare they act like that towards Master Vulcan, all he did was talk to them.' She thought with a flare of red hot anger.
But as soon as she thought that she shook her head hard to snap herself out of it. This wasn't her, this was the heat talking. She needed to resist! She was a good person, becoming evil didn't appeal to her at all!
'But…' she thought against her will, 'I would have so much freedom without morals to hold me back...'
Tears prickled at the corners of her eyes as she raked her claws down the back of her calf, forcibly pulling her mind away from such thought. 'Heat! Resist!' She thought furiously, clenching her fists tightly as she forced herself to stand. she quickly left the forest and returned to her room to toss and turn for the rest of the evening, flashed of the battle she'd seen and the dominance displayed by Harry over the Veela named Aisha playing in her head of a loop, evoking a fire in her loins that refused to be doused.

Back with Harry:
Harry found himself back in his room, feeling somewhat tired. That fight with those Drider was what he needed to take up his extra energy. As he lay there, he thought back and wondered what they would attack him for, all he said was that he wanted to be like the 'Dark One', and then suddenly they attacked him like he was a sworn enemy. That was a very instant and very negative reaction, he could only wonder what the Dark One had done to them to get them to react like that.
But he would deal with that problem later. Maybe there was something within the paper work that Daphne give him on the Dark One that could explain such a reaction.
For now though, he had a bigger problem: Hermione. As he was walking back to the castle, he saw her sneaking back into the palace. He had no idea why she was outside in the first place, other than stalking him. She wasn't the type to go for moonlight walks to clear her head, if she wanted to do that she'd crack open a book she'd already read before and immerse herself in a familiar adventure.
Whatever the reason, Harry was concerned as to what she may have seen or overheard. It wasn't like Harry was going to act like a good person and eventually become one simply because he acted like one when he knew someone was watching him, especially if that someone had been beside Harry since his first year at school. But it was the fact he wasn't sure how Hermione would react to what she might have seen or heard that had him unable to relax, Harry knew full well Hermione was an inherently good person, at least she had started out that way when he met her, and so it wasn't much of a leap to think she wouldn't agree with some of his darker, more evil actions. But the problem was how to deal with this?
For all he knew Hermione was out there for something completely unrelated and missed everything. He couldn't just ask her outright, as that would defeat the purpose of subtlety entirely, which would naturally be followed by her picking at it until he would have to explain why he was out there in the first place, and he didn't want to go there unless he really had to.
So as he drifted into sleep, he decided to do nothing for now. He would wait and see, should anything happen in the morning, then he'd act, but if nothing happened then he'd leave things be.
TO BE CONTINUED!
Authors Note:I would like to apologize for the long delay in the update for this story, for those who have been following Harry Potter and the Sekirei Plan, you would know that whenever I tried to write this chapter my mood would leave me as quickly as it came to me. I have no idea why, but it was annoying, wanting to write the chapter but yet your mood would leave you.
Either way, I hope that you had enjoyed this chapter, sadly I didn't enjoy writing it as much as I normally would have because of my mood leaving me so often. I'm sorry that this summer holiday chapters are taking so long, but all I can say is that the plot for the story has taken twist and turns that I didn't see coming and new plots and characters have been added. I just hope that you enjoy them as much as I and my Beta Readers have adding them, and should you have any ideas you would like to see in the story, or think will help ending the summer holiday chapters faster, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to add them.
Dual Lacrima, about this, it'll still be a Dual Lacrima but not a Dragon/God Slayer like many of you would have liked, but Dual Dragon Slayer. The reason behind this is because, one of my reviewers reminded me that I wrote all the Gods were nothing more than powerful wizards. I'm not saying there won't Gods somewhere in this timeline, but what I am saying is that it would have been near impossible to make a Dual Lacrima with the God Slayer ability. So it'll have to be Dual Dragon Slayer, and it'll as the readers voted for: Fire/Shadow. So thanks for this, and I hope you enjoy the rest of what I've got planned for the Fairy Tail world…
So once again, sorry for the delay, and I hope that you have enjoyed this chapter, butter then I did writing it. All I ask is that you spend a few more minutes to review this chapter, and let me know what you thought of it. I would like to ask for a decent size review though, I don't mind a few words saying you enjoyed it, but if it is all possible, I would like to hear your thoughts towards the story so far, and any ideas you might have - but your thoughts are more important. But if you can't do that, although I would prefer longer reviews, a few words saying you like the story is just as fine. As it would let me know you have read the story.
