Step one you say we need to talk, he walks you say sit down, it's just a talk. He smiles politely back at you. You stare politely right on through. Meeting on a bus, Edward and Bella are immediately attracted to each other but their gloomy, abuse-ridden pasts make them both hesitant to trust anyone. Follow them as Bella learns not only how to save a life, but hers is saved as well.

48. Chapter 47

Silence.

It used to be nice, to be relaxing.

Now, it scares me.

My breath hitches and I look up at him.

"What?" I whisper and it feels as if ice has been broken.

He looks at me, smiling and I break down.

I just…

… He loves me?

"You love me?" I whisper, the tears that had welled spilling over as he nods.

He… Hoody… Edward loves me.

I can feel the smile that stretches across my face.

I can't see straight as I reach for him.

And when he takes me up in his arms…

… I feel like I'm home.
