Sorry it's took so long to update! my computer had been having a few tech problems but thankfully all sorta apart from a sticky space bar -_- but we have returned to see our Warden heroes! hope you enjoy!

"We should reach Redcliffe in a few hours, it's not much further."

"Thank the Maker, if we get there before dark we might be able to get a good meal for a change." Neria remarked.

"Hey, I thought what I made for breakfast was good."Alistair half shouted in mock hurt, Hati who was walking beside Neria left off a dismissive huff at his words causing both Neria and Leliana to laugh.

Lyna smiled slightly as she watched the other banter, she was walking behind them, the wolf and Sten walking at either side of her.

"Sten."

"Yes."

"Are you well?" she asked not bothering to look anywhere but ahead.

"I am fine, why?" Lyna found the confused tone in the Qunari's voice slightly amusing.

"You where trapped in that cage for a long time, I wish to know if you feel well enough to fight."

"You are concerned, there is no need I am fit enough to fight."

"You said you were a soldier, why is it you were sent here?"

"To answer a question."

"What was the question?"

"The Arishok asked, 'What is the Blight?' by his curiosity, I am now here."

"Will you return to tell the Arishok your answer?"

"I can never return." A hint of sadness seeped in to the Qunari's voice as he spoke, and Lyna felt the family pang in her chest at the thought of her own home.

"That is something we have in common." She said quietly, letting the conversation die down.

Lyna had notice Alistair growing more nervous as they got closer and closer to the village. "Alistair is there something wrong?" she asked as she walked up beside him.

"Erm… I dunno… Maybe?" she gave him a confused look as he sighed and let his head drop in defeat. "Okay I need to tell you and Neria something."

Lyna simple nodded before calling the other Elf over, "Alistair has something he wishes to tell us." They both walked away from the rest of the group, letting them stop to catch their breath. "What is it you wish to us?"

"Erm… Well I mentioned that the Arl raised me-"

"I knew it! You're the Arl's son." Neria half whispered accusingly.

"What? No, I've told you the Arl isn't my father."

"I do not see how it would be important who your father is." Lyna said rolling her eyes. "What is it you wanted to tell us?"

"Don't be so sure," Alistair said under his breath before looking at the expectant look on the two Elven women faces. "Yes, well, the- the reason the Arl raise me is because my father was.." Alistair paused bracing himself before he continued, "King Meric."

"WHAT?" Neria shouted,

"Shh! Calm down, there's a reason why I told you this in private!" Alistair said trying to quieten the woman.

"But- but that make y-"

"Who is king Meric?" Neria's rambling was cut short as Lyna spoke, causing both of them to turn to her with identical looks of disbelief on their faces.

"Who's King Meric? WHO's King Meric?!" Neria repeated, "Only the King that saved Ferelden from the Orlesians, son of the Rebel Queen, who took back the throne and rebuilt Ferelden."

"Ah hem, yes… Ah, that Meric." Alistair said trying to bring the rambling to a quite.

"What does that mean?" Lyna asked.

"It's means, that with King Cailan dead Alistair here is the heir to the throne."

"Why?" Lyna asked still confused.

"Because he is Maric's son and Cailan's half brother." Neria said growing more exasperated.

"And that is enough to make him a new King?"

"Noo, no, no, no, no! I am not King material, no one wants me to lead, last time I done that I got slipped Dwarven ale and woke up without my pants," Alistair said with both of his hands raise to show his palms as he shook them from side to side, before muttering under his breath, "damn Hawke."

"I still find this odd, that human's pick their rulers simply by blood."

"Why? What way do you pick rulers in your clans?" Neria asked

"The Keeper picks the most talented enansal'len in the clan, passing along all their knowledge, when the Keeper dies, their first take over leading the clan."

"Oh, so all of the clan leaders are mages? But isn't magic passed along in families?" it was one of the reason Mages in the tower were not allowed to marry, in case they were to have children cursed with magic.

"Not always, my father was a mage and the Keeper of the clan but I am not gifted with magic." She stated.

"Oh…" Neria paused before she turned to look at Alistair again, "Do you think Loghain knows who your father is?"

"I don't think so, it's was a very well kept secret, as far as I knew; besides Duncan, only the Arl and his brother knew. I don't even think Cailan knew. I just thought I should warn you before we got into Redcliffe." He ran his hand through his hair sheepishly, "I didn't tell you sooner because people usually treat me different because of it, I think it's one of the reasons Duncan kept me out of the fighting."

"Well don't worry Alistair," Neria said pointing her thumb towards the Dalish Elf, "Lyna here's still not sure what it means, and I've seen you dirt sock too many times to think of you as much more than Alistair."

"Thank you." The tension was visible as is left Alistair.

"Now we're almost at Redcliffe, let's get going my Prince." Neria said with a devilish grin on her face. Alistair groaned as he and Lyna walked after her, Lyna trying to hide her grin.

As they drew closer to the village they came across a young man standing on a stone bridge.

"I thought I saw travellers, are you here to help us?"

"Why what's happened?" Alistair asked

"The village has been under attack by strange creatures, the Militia have been fighting them, though Bann Teagan and a few Knights arrived today to help."

"Bann Teagan? Can you take us to him." the man nodded before leading them down into the village. Many of the villages stared at the strange group, many jumped at the sight of the wolf stuck at Lyna side.

"Perhaps it would be best if we left Hati and the wolf with Leliana, Morrigan and Sten, while we talk to Teagan." Alistair suggested, not wanting to think of how the villagers inside the Chantry would take to the sight of a chasind witch, a Qunari, a wolf and a Mabari travelling with two Elves and a former Chantry lay sisters.

They left the other before entering the Chantry, it was the first time Lyna has set foot in one and she fought the urge to look at her surroundings.

At they reached the small group of six people that had gathered at the end of the building Lyna heard one of the men with brown hair ask who they were.

Lyna stepped forward past the man that had been called Tomas, "We are the Grey Wardens".

So I thought it would be a good idea to show the arrival from the both groups view so this is the wardens as they arrive in Redclife. I also thought since Lyna is Dalish and doesn't have any interaction with the human world beyond chasing them away from camp, that it would be reasonable that she wouldn't have a clue and politics. On another note I have now written the attack on the village the beginning of the castle storming and I have FINALLY started writing about our lovey mage Dylan Amell, lot's to look forward to coming up, Lies, Betrayal, forgiveness possible death? Ah HA! was wondering as I've gotten to this part, what do you pick when it comes to fixing things in Redcliffe?
