Love Test

Chapter 6: "Lust"

Much to Lucy's chagrin, the money collection process did not proceed as smoothly as she hoped. After all, if they were receiving extra money with extra information regarding the origins of the money and who the production intended to give it to originally, Natsu was bound to protest. Sometimes his loyalty was extremely inconvenient.

"I ain't takin' that money!"

"It's yours nitwit now take it!"

"BUT THAT'S NOT OUR MONEY!"

"YOU THICK SKULLED DUMB ASS, YOU DID THAT SUCKER'S JOB NOW YOU ARE GETTING PAID FOR YOUR HARD WORK!"

"I AIN'T GONNA TAKE IT!"

"TAKE IT BEFORE I SHOVE IT UP YOUR SORRY ASS!" Sandra huffed, flipped her hair, and hands on her hips, she turned to her blonde beacon of hope. "Lucy-san, Natsu-kun did the modeling work, and this happens to be his reward for a job well done. Now do me a favor and tell your boyfriend/fiancé/husband to take the money he earned!"

"He's not my boyfriend!" Lucy protested.

"Oh please! I'm surprised you aren't pregnant with his child yet!"

"Natsu doesn't even know how to have a child!" Lucy fumed. "And, NO Natsu, hugging a girl until she lays an egg is not how you have a kid!"

"Then teach him!" Sandra threw her hands up exasperatedly. "Don't you wanna be a mother some day?"

"Sure I do!" Lucy huffed. "But I need to get married first!" The blonde's arms were thrown in the air in frustration.

"Your future husband is right there!" The devil woman thrust her hand in Natsu's direction. "And his children will be beautiful guaranteed!"

"So you're saying my kids won't be?!"

"Your kids will be his kids too!"

"They will not!"

"They will too!"

"Will not!"

"Will too!"

As sound waves continued to vibrate the air particles surrounding the three there, and Natsu found himself very interested in the audible groaning of his stomach. It seemed to possess undiscovered musical talents as it grumbled out atrocious melodies of emptiness. Unfortunately all such efforts to be discovered were in vain as the two ladies before him continued to argue.

"If I were you, I would shut up and thank my Lord for choosing a man like Natsu-kun to be my soul-mate!" The brunette employer placed both hands on her curvaceous hips.

The assistant photographer observed the slight tremor in the blonde's clenched fists as her face grew a reddish color. "Natsu's more than just looks you know! I'm more into men's qualities than their looks you know!" Of course that was total bullshit to some degree, but she felt compelled to say that.

Objects, photographers looked at humans as subjects in photographs; they never look past the skin clothing the bone protecting their hearts and minds. No! If they didn't have the looks, they weren't worth dealing with. Lucy's stomach churned as bile rose up her throat at the way that woman munched up Natsu like a delicious chocolate bar, the way she eagerly unravelled his wrappers with her eyes. Natsu was more than the delectable piece of chocolate that Sandra's eye's viewed his as. He was much, much, more.

Ignoring the tense air surrounding them, Natsu opted to grab Lucy by the bicep, demanding they get food with an adorable pout. There was a flash, a very, very annoying flash. "You morons are so darn cute!" Sandra squealed pushing them passed the buff security guards and out of the reserved beach area. "Now shoo!"

Now free of the devil woman's clutches Natsu spoke, "I'm starving! Let's go eat a lot of fat-filled meat! Because I know you love the fatty parts!"

"I do not!" Lucy shouted in protest.

"I see a restaurant!" The fire eater grabbed his partner's wrist with one hand, the index finger of his other hand indicating their induced final destination. "Let's go!"

"No! I don't wanna go to a restaurant! It's gonna be so expensive!" The celestial beauty whined. "How about we go to the local market place instead?"

"What the… why?" The man gave a bewildered look.

"Because then there will be a larger assortment of food to choose from!" She spoke as if it were the most obvious thing.

"But the restaurant is right there!" Natsu whined.

"Fine you go to the restaurant," Lucy huffed, "I am going to the local market," she spoke jabbing her thumb to her chest before she marched away.

"Aww come on Lucy! Come eat with me!" The fire mage chased after her.

"I'd rather not."

"Lucy!"

"No."

"Come on!"

Lucy took off in the direction of the market, the dragon slayer following her. It wasn't long before they each had found something to eat. Lucy had settled for a yummy vanilla ice cream cone. Natsu, on the other hand, had gone for an assortment of spicy foods which were piled in his arms and devoured quickly. As they strode side by side to the station something crossed the Celestial mage's mind. "Hey Natsu?" She inquired.

"Yeah?" The fire-eater looked at her.

"You said that you'd 'called Virgo out,'" she looked at the man before her incredulously, "how'd you manage that?"

"I don't really know," Natsu scratched his head, "I just yelled at her key kinda…," a nervous smile, "and she showed up after I dunno how long."

His golden haired team mate still looked skeptical. "What I don't get is why you fainted in the bath," the dragon slayer looked down at the shorter person, "you never do that," after a while he chose to add, "and your bathroom smelled funny."

Smelled funny. Could someone have placed sleeping gas within her bathroom? If so, who would do that?

Meanwhile back in Magnolia…

"Darn! I forgot my Sleepy Moon and Emotional Queen tarot cards at Lucy's last time I used her bath!" A drunk grumbled.

"It's okay Cana, you'll just have to wait until Lucy comes back with Natsu from their mission," a purple haired barmaid smiled kindly.

"But I don't wanna! I want my cards now!" Cana whined hugging her barrel and flailing her feet.

"Now, now Cana, they'll be back soon enough." Kinana sweat dropped at the brunette's behavior before carrying on with her work.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"My ice-cream tastes way better than your lame spicy foods!" Lucy proclaimed.

They'd been at this for a while now. After Natsu noticed the Zodiac mistress's scrunched up face he opted to pick a fight with her to distract her. He'd started it by claiming how spicy foods were way yummier than sweet foods, going on and on until Lucy finally got mad enough to argue back. Now both were genuinely irritated and the simple-minded pyromaniac had completely forgotten his original intentions. "They are not! Spicy beats sweet any day!" The fire mage disagreed.

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does no-" The Celestial mage had started to say before her partner shoved whatever spicy food he was previously eating in her mouth, silencing her.

Her tongue and face burned as she tasted the magnificent spices while watching her best friend laugh his guts out. Furious, she shoved her half-eaten ice-cream into his smiling mouth, shutting him up consecutively. The two savoured the flavors of the foods forcefully shoved into their mouths all the while heading to the home of the great beast that Natsu feared, more commonly known as the train station.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Lucy grit her teeth. She had completely forgotten that they'd be arriving to Magnolia in the early hours of the morning, which just so happened to be the coldest part of the day. Rubbing her hands up and down her arms in hopes of producing heat through friction, the celestial mage cursed. Winter was indeed upon them. She sneezed. Great, now she was going to catch a cold.

The Celestial spirit summoner continued to curse at her idiocy, only stopping when she felt newfound warmth around her neck. It wasn't long before she also felt something warm on her shoulders as well. Looking to her side she saw the pouty face of her partner followed by his bare neck and upper body. Their eyes met for a moment before his flickered away hurriedly, cheeks reddening, his eyes continued flickering between her and their city surroundings nervously. The young Heartfilia felt her own face heat up, as it seemed that the almighty Salamander was embarrassed. He looked kinda cute like that, his features in a forced pout, cheeks bright red, and his eyes roaming about their surroundings restlessly.

Lucy should have protested, however with the way her partner was acting it was rather difficult to look at him much less speak to him. Nonetheless, she looked up at him for an instant contemplating what to say, when his eyes flickered to hers and her mind went blank as she stared into their depths. Breaking eye contact she looked away and decided it was best she just accept such kindness. Natsu was always warm anyway.

The walk continued in awkward silence as the two attempted to steal glances of the other without being caught, both failing miserably. It didn't take long before they two arrived at Lucy's apartment. There the blonde shrugged off her partner's single-sleeved shirt and unwrapped his scarf from around her neck, the chilly morning air hitting her neck immediately. She bid her partner goodnight and went into her soon-to-be warm apartment.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Natsu, do you have any idea how early in the morning it is?" A sleepy female voice whined.

"Come on! I need your help!" Natsu dragged the owner of the voice out of the comfort of their warm home.

"N-Natsu! What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" Short strands of silver hair flailed around a porcelain face.

The Salamander stopped, turned around, a pout of his lips, red all over his cheeks, his eyes moving about restlessly once again, "I… I wanna get," he blinked with every word, eyes darting right then left then right again, "Lucy… a scarf…"

"Oh my gosh! Why didn't you say so earlier?!"

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"No Natsu! Lucy will not like flame designs on her scarf!"

"But Lisanna! They look so cool!" Natsu whined in response. "Besides like she'll like that weird fluffy thing in your hand!"

"You asked for my help, and now you're not accepting it!" The youngest Strauss grumbled.

"U-Um, excuse me, but can you please hurry, I don't usually open my shop this early in the morning," a scraggly man in his mid-forties rubbed his eyes, "I'd also like to go back to sleep."

The man blinked once, twice, three times. He'd been completely ignored as the two continued to bicker. These two morons had been at this for the past hour or so! He wanted to go to bed! To his turmoil the two now split up and went around the shop looking for an appropriate scarf.

Natsu huffed. Lisanna wasn't helping at all. Girls had weird tastes. He glared around the shop before his eyes hit something white. He cautiously approached the garment, taking it in his hands and feeling the smooth warming fabric. He looked down at the ends of the scarf, seeing little snowflake designs and a small snowman. He then spotted matching mittens and a hat. "Hey old man!" He smiled waving the garment around. "I'll take this scarf!"

"That's a part of a set, you'll have to buy the whole thing," the shopkeeper grumbled.

"Ok! How much does it cost?" The rosette chirped excitedly, he didn't give a damn, he just knew that this scarf would be perfect for Lucy.

The man yawned, "that'll be 10,500 Jewel."

"Hey Natsu, you didn't even ask for my-" the animal soul takeover mage stopped midsentence, "that's so cute! Is that what you're getting Lucy?"

Natsu nodded, paid the amount requested and left the store with a smile on his face. He then had a long, winding debate with the takeover mage before he finally relented.

"Well then, it looks like my work here is done!" Lisanna beamed. "See ya Natsu!"

"Thanks Lisanna!" Natsu beamed back before rushing excitedly to his the home housing his favorite blonde.

There was a spring in the pinkette's step as he hurried towards his partner's home. His muscles tensed in his attempt to contain his excitement. The pinkette's smile never left his face, rather it continued to grow larger and larger, taking up the majority of his face with the many optimistic thoughts that continued to flood his mind. Lucy would be so happy. Natsu jumped at the thought of the bright smile that would shape her adorable face.

Skidding to a stop the fire mage took an easy jump up on to the wooden window pane. Normally he would instantly jump in intrusively, but for some reason, his feet wouldn't move. Instead they remained planted to the window sill as he stared at the sleeping figure of his partner. She was curled into a tight warm ball under her sheets, with no more than her head poking out. Her golden locks curled majestically around her head making her look like the bright sun. Unbeknownst to him, he dragon slayer's heart pace sped up slightly as blood flowed to his cheeks. Lucy was really, really pretty, he decided while looking at her angelic sleeping face.

Finally hopping off the sill and over the sleeping Celestial mage, Natsu pondered as to why he was noticing Lucy's beauty after they've been together for so many years. Setting the set of wrapped, Lisanna insisted she wrap it, set winter clothing articles he had purchased heron her desk, the fire mage turned to look at his partner yet again. It was approximately two weeks ago that they'd stumbled on a group of perverted bandits. Their eyes had roamed over Lucy countless times, their faces shifting into the most disturbing expressions. Natsu had never been more disgusted in his life. Naturally he became curious as to why they had eyed her like hungry beasts. The Salamander decided that he should look at the Zodiac mistress more closely. The observation resulted in the realization that Lucy Heartfilia, his wonderfully weird partner, was actually kinda pretty… Hence, when he'd heard that Gray, his rival, had managed to have a child before him, he automatically knew to pick Lucy to aid him in this competition. Because was she pretty, meaning her children would be pretty and then he would totally kick Gray's ass in the debate on whose children were prettier.

Now that he thought about it, maybe he hadn't chosen to ask Lucy just because she was pretty. Maybe it was because whenever she was around Wendy and assumed that older sister role, she seemed a lot like a mother. Or at least what he thought a mother was like. He also trusted her, he trusted her with his life… maybe not her own though. The rosette smiled at the thought, this weirdo would readily sacrifice herself, despite her usual complaints about fighting.

Jumping onto the sill yet again, Natsu looked back the sleeping Zodiac mistress, his smile still in place before hopping off and returning to his lodge and therefor Happy!

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Lucy thrashed around in her bed as the warm rays out light attacked her eyes yet again. Groaning she sat up. She clearly remembered closing her window before sleeping… so why the hell was it open right now?! Looking to her side, she saw a nicely wrapped package. Curious, she climbed out of bed and took cautious steps towards the package. It wasn't Christmas yet… so what was it doing here? Unwrapping the package carefully, she found a pair of white mittens, a white hat, and a white scarf. She picked up the scarf and marvelled at it. It was a hand-knit scarf. Lucy was absolutely fascinated by it as, despite its flimsy appearance, she could tell that it would actually keep her warm, especially with how well knit it was. But who… who would buy her such a wonderful scarf, surely it was expensive. Lucy traced her fingers over the delicate stitches a thoughtful smile capturing her features. She set it back down on the counter carefully before heading to attend to her usual morning rituals.

It wasn't until she was under the warm rain released from her shower head did the Celestial Spirit mage realize, that there was only one person who could have bought her a scarf. Yup, only one! She giggled as she decided that they were going to be the first to see her in it.

It wasn't long before she was skipping down the cobbled path with her blonde hair following her; the young Heartfilia gripped the handle of a little bag which she swung around as she hummed happily. She had decided that they'd be the very first person to see it! No one else would see her wearing her newly acquired winter clothing before they did. Not even she knew what she'd look like before they saw it. So as the happy blonde battled the cold weather on her way to surprise the sweetheart that caused her such great happiness, she decided to do something special in return.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

His nose was twitching, his eyebrows soon scrunched up too, his formerly peacefully sleeping face contorted into a more frustrated looking one. It wasn't long before an eye cracked open to the warm smiling face of Lucy Heartfilia. "L-L-L-LUCY?!" He panicked for some unknown reason as his hammock flipped with his sudden movement faceplanting him into the cold, solid ground.

"Mou! You're acting like you just saw a monster!" She huffed. "Do I really look that bad in these?"

Lifting himself off the ground and rubbing his face, the fire-eater took a good look at his partner. She was… she was wearing the winter accessories set he'd got for her! He couldn't help the bright smile that took over his face… or the blood that rushed to it either.

Spotting her teammate's contagious smile she was instantly infected, "I wanted you to be the first person to see me in them! Even I don't know how I look in them!"

"You look great!" The rosette replied instantly.

"Well I made breakfast, so come on and let's eat!" The blonde extended a hand out to him, which he happily accepted.

The two ate engaging in a lovely conversation about who knows what. At the end of the meal Lucy presented him with a wrapped package, stating it was thanks for the hand-knit set he'd bought her. He tore open the present eagerly his face scrunching up when he pulled it out. He looked at his teammate with a look that said, "What is this?" She giggled verbally responding, "So we match!"

"You really are a weirdo," the pyromaniac said with a blank face.

"I do all this for you and this is the thanks I get!" Lucy attacked him, flailing her hands about him randomly in hopes of landing a hit.

Natsu smirked, grabbing both her wrists, preventing her from achieving her temporary goal, "but thanks! I don't usually get gifts, so thanks!" The young man beamed.

Smiling back at him, the blonde snatched gift she'd gotten him from his hands placing it on his head quickly consequently grabbing his wrist and dashing out into the cold winter air with him in tow towards the proud guild house: Fairy Tail!

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Can I get a hug?" Two arms spread themselves wide offering an embrace for any who would wanted one. "Please?"

"Go away, you're annoying me," huffed the person being offered.

"Come on onee-chan! I just want a hug!" This pest was persistent. "Won't you give your only little brother a hug?"

"I don't recall being your older sister," the commander of ten of the Zodiac spirits spun on her barstool, "and why do you even want a hug?"

"Because!" Sting finally put his arms down. "If you hug me and Natsu-san sees me hugging you, he'll get hella mad and challenge me to an awesome fight again!"

"You don't need to hug me to get him to fight with you," Lucy huffed, "just go ask him to fight with you and he'll gladly beat your ass down."

"But it's different when I provoke him by using you," the saber mage paused choosing to rephrase his sentence, "it's like, whenever you're involved, his strength doubles, no triples, no… it's hard to explain but he becomes so much stronger!"

The young Heartfilia blinked a few times before speaking, "he becomes like that whenever you do anything to any member of the guild you know."

Poor Sting's eye twitched, Natsu should could pick 'em, she was damn stubborn. Marching away, a mischievous smirk graced the Saber's features. "You Natsu-san!" He yelled loudly making sure all within the guild heard him, including a certain blonde, "onee-chan said she thinks I'm hotter than you!"

With that statement the entire population within the guild turned to face their beloved Celestial mage, seeing the rage on her face was enough to know that this moron was lying to pick a fight with Natsu. Sadly, the fire dragon slayer didn't realize that and instead fell for the trap, "WHAT WAS THAT YOU BASTARD?"

"YOU HEARD ME!"

"Y'WANNA GO?!"

"YEAH!"

The iron fist came down upon the two just as they lunged at each other. "There will be no fighting in the guild hall! If you wanna brawl take it somewhere else!" A red-head ruled with authority.

"Y-yes ma'am!" The two replied in perfect synchronization.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

It wasn't long before the two dragon slayers epic fight was suspended yet again, with Erza escorting Natsu to the master's office and Mira whisking off Sting in another direction. Rogue silently joined the two as they too headed towards Makarov's office.

Along the way, Sting decided to make conversation with the renown beauty, "hey Mira-san," he started, "what's the name of that blonde guy with headphones?"

Mira stopped for a second, a thoughtful look taking on her features…. Blonde with headphones… "Does he have a lightning shaped scar on his face?" She asked moving again.

"Uh…"

"Yes he does," the shadow dragon slayer answered.

"Then that would be Laxus," Mira answered, "why do you ask?"

"Because he's always loo- ow Rogue that hurt!" The acting Saber master yelled.

Mira felt rather agitated that he'd been silenced, but understood that Rogue had his reasons, he was relatively reasonable…key word: relatively. It wasn't long before she was leading them down into the examination room.

Upon entering rather small room the Satan Soul user was shocked to see her sister and the young sky dragon slayer. "W-what are you doing here?" The blonde behind her pointed an accusing finger at Lisanna.

"I could ask you the same thing!" She recoiled before turning to her older sister. "Why are they here Mira-nee?"

"To discover the Salamander's weakness," Rogue responded calmly.

"His weakness? What weakne-OH!" The animal soul user's mouth opened as the realization hit her.

"It's about time we begin is it not?" The Wizard saint's voice spoke.

"Yes, it is," Mira smiled, "is she ready to go?"

"Yup!" The other Strauss replied. "I got the blindfold on and everything, she's just waiting at the foot of the other stairs!"

Nodding Mirajane left to finish setting things up, hearing Sting's, "Oh look it's Natsu-san! But why does he have a blindfold on?" followed by the master's explanation of the situation.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

The sound of footsteps descending stairs could be heard. At this Lucy perked up and called out, "Lisanna, is that you?"

"Sorry, but it's me, Mira," an angelic voice replied.

"Ah Mira-san! I was told to put this blindfold on, but now I can't get it off, what's this 'Test' Lisanna was talking about?"

"Oh it's nothing really, here, follow me," the demon in disguise opened a door and led the blonde through, "now we'll have you sit down in this magical chair and-"

"And then you'll ask me to shift positions right? Lisanna explained everything to me, even how to shift and everything."

"Well then you're all ready to go!" Mira smiled, helping Lucy take a seat on the so-called "magical chair".

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Oi, oi, what the hell is this? Why is onee-chan sitting in Natsu-san's lap? What's the meaning of this?" The blonde in the room demanded. " And you little sky maiden, why the hell are you here if you're gonna cover your eyes?"

There was a pregnant silence followed by another of Sting's outbreaks before Rogue silenced him, "we are about to discover the Salamander's weakness, shut up and pay attention."

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

There is was again…that cruel hunger, that insane craving. It was stronger than ever before. Natsu groaned agitatedly, why was this hunger returning? Why was it here again? Or could it be…were they using Lucy this time? They were using Lucy this time, no doubt. Only she could make him feel such strong desire. Damn it! What the hell was this craving?

Suddenly, a strong scent floated up his nostrils. He groaned agitatedly and grabbed the bottom of the chair he sat on in an attempt to suppress the insane hunger that had not only resurfaced, but exponentially increased. A fire ignited through his veins, spreading with the hunger as the world began to swirl and twirl ferociously, in a sickening, dizzying motion. He rolled his neck around as his hands' grip tightened, should he remove his hands... Horrible... Horrible things would happen. He just knew. Horrible things were waiting to happen.

So when he felt delicate little hands travel up his chest in search of his shoulders it was all he could do to NOT let his grip on the chair slacken.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"The hell's goin' on?"

"Shh! It's just starting to get good!"

"A-are you s-sure we should be watching this?"

"Wendy-chan why did you choose to come watch?"

"Uh..."

"SHHH!"

"Eheh?" Mira laughed nervously at her sister's behavior.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Cotton, this was a smooth cotton beneath her palms. It led to a high collar as she moved her hands closer to the person's neck. The celestial summoner moved her hands towards the shoulders feeling more cloth under the right hand and the smooth silky feel of ribbon followed by warm, tensed muscles under her left. Lucy's brows furrowed as her hands shifted to the specimen's chest, running her thumbs up and down the ribbon in the middle of the cloth before running her hands all the way down the torso reaching a leather belt. The mage tried to draw an image of the person she sat on in her mind before she realized her hands were still positioned on their belt. Embarrassed by her actions Lucy withdrew her hands immediately, a bright blush scarring her cheeks.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Isn't it about time we have her shift positions?" The younger of the take-over mages asked.

"A-ah yes! Yes! That's right!" Mira chirped releasing the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, "Lucy, could you please shift into position two?"

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Upon being asked to shift her position in this "chair" Lucy felt new warmth on her sides holding her in place. They were obviously hands... Large warm hands...

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Mira-san!" A shriek resounded through the small room as the addressed fell to the floor.

"N-Natsu he's g-gonna!" The other take-over mage in the room's body shook with excitement. "He's gonna make Lucy a woman!" With a glee filled squeal and jump she collapsed next to her sister.

"Lisanna-san!" The same voice shrieked again. "I-I-I-I-I d-d-d-d-don't think we should be s-s-s-s-supporting such a thing!" Turning to the old man currently supervising the event occurring behind the sound proof glass, she barely managed to glance at his smug grin before she too collapsed out of horror.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Just what was he doing? Instinctively leaning forward the sweet, sweet seductive scent filled his nose, allowing an agitated groan to rise from the depth of his throat. His eyebrows knitted as his grip on the female before him tightened, earning a squeak of surprise from the person on his lap.

The clueless dragon slayer moved his nose towards the crook of the celestial mage's neck by instinct. He felt the subject on his lap stiffen. He then felt her shiver upon feeling warm breath on her collar bone. He inhaled deeply relishing the sweet scent. Her scent was absolutely intoxicating; he could never get enough of it, he could never get enough of her. Shaking his head furiously, and allowing his hair to brush against the underside of her chin he used up a great amount of willpower to lift his head, thus his nose in an attempt to reduce the hunger he felt, which grew as more and more of her scent entered his nostrils. The speed at which he jerked his head back sent the whole chair backwards with the celestial mage landing on top of him. Neither knew how it happened but soon, Lucy was cornered against a wall, Natsu looming over her.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

"Ugh why the hell did you two wake up?" The scrunched saber groaned.

"Because true Natsu-loves-Lucy fans would be conscious at this critical moment!" Lisanna huffed.

"Oh my! It looks like our Natsu is fighting his hardest to resist the ever enticing Lucy Heartfilia!" Fairy Tail's caring mother figure smiled.

The three were currently fighting to be able to see what was going on in that corner. Sadly they were failing as Natsu's broad back was the most they could see.

0o0-_-_-_-0o0

Their hot breaths mingled as each moved to close the distance them. Coming to his senses Natsu stilled himself, he couldn't go through with this. This had to be what Lucy referred to as "Her First Kiss". She'd once explained the concept to him. Basically it was the first time a girl would be kissed by a boy on the lips. Girls usually wanted to do it with the first guy they loved or something. Either way they cherished it and hated it when it was stolen away. The whole thing sounded rather silly to him at the time. But now, since it was important to Lucy, it was important to him too. Meaning, he couldn't… he couldn't… his judgment became clouded as her enticing, unique, wonderful scent suffocated him, his body moved on its own, it was purely on instinct. He could feel the proximity of her lips, he was almost there…

While it made no sense why he was craving this kiss, or why he was craving Lucy at all, he just went with it. Her scent was fogging his mind, he couldn't think clearly, if he was thinking at all… eyes widening suddenly behind the blindfold Natsu grabbed the scarf around Lucy's neck using it to cover her mouth before he attacked. Upon pulling back and pushing himself away with whatever was left of his willpower, Natsu pinched his nose and plopped himself on the ground.

He had taken a bite out of the forbidden fruit. And it tasted good.

PREVIEW:

Chapter 7: "Self Punishment huh?"

"Pack yer bags kiddos! Because we have got a special reservation at one of the hottest tourist spots in Fiore!" The master announced gleefully.

"And I've got the room plans all listed out!" His white-haired bar maid chirped.

.

.

.

.

.

.

"Have you ever considered by implementing this 'self-punishment' that you might actually be punishing someone else?" She stared straight ahead at the unreachable horizon.

Turning towards the lady beside him his eyes wide, he remained silent waiting for her to speak more. When she said nothing more he grit his teeth looked to the jagged rocks beneath them. "I am unworthy of someone so pure."

"You make it sound like you are tainted," she giggled uneasily.
