"Great…." Neria muttered as she stood in the ever changing landscape of the fade, she watched as it shifted and changed, the trees of a forest slowly being swallowed by mist; the swirled and changed in to water the surround a busy port, Neria walk through the imaged path ways ignoring all of the "people" that would try to engage her in conversation. The landscape changed again as she forced herself through the illusion and in to, what could be recognised as, the plains of the fade. The fake illusion fell away revealing the distorted rock like surrounding of the fade, stained in every colour imaginable, while the sky was stained various shades of blue and purple; off in the distance the black city stood, looming and unreachable in the centre of the fade.
"Shit…" she sighed as she rubbed her temples, "What the hell now?" as she looked around.
"Wait!" she heard a voice shout out, she turned quickly readying her magic when she came face to face with Niall. He looked exhausted as he took in the sight of her examining her closely. "Neria? What- what are you doing here? You can't be here, you must be another trick."
"Niall, it's me, I'm not a trick."
"No, Neria left with the Grey Wardens…"
"Yes, and we came back and now I'm trapped in the bloody fade." She hissed out, "We came back to get help from the mages only to find the place overrun with blood mages and now we're stuck in a damn sloth demon trap-a sloth demon; really? I feel insulted…"
"Our experiences seem quite similar…" Niall muttered.
"Yeah, expect with less darkspawn I'm sure, so what happened with you?"
"Em- yes I suppose; I had just retrieved the Litany of Adralla. My companions and I were assailed on our way to the harrowing chamber, I escaped only to encounter the sloth demon and now I'm here" he explained bitterly.
"Well, I'm going to find a way out of here so- you coming?" she asked indicating to the side with her thumb and eyebrows raised in question.
"No, there is no way out of here. You think there might be, but you'd be wrong." Niall hissed. "The sloth demon had locked himself away in the centre on his domain; he is surrounding by wards that are powered by the dreamers he has imprisoned."
"When I figured this out I tried to get to the wards to break them but there was always something blocking the path, some obstacle that stop you from reaching it. It taunts you and drives you mad!"
"Yeah- I can see that. Well it's better than sitting around here, so you can stay here if you want I'm going to go free my friends break some wards and freeze some sloth demon ass." She replied as she stalked passed him to the small rip in the fade that would allow her to travel through the domain. "Don't worry I'll be back." She called behind her and she stepped through the portal.
