Our groups meeting up with another companion! wont be long now till we get the whole gang together.

Neria turned away from the display, realising they had forgotten she was there, giving them a quiet moment she turned to see her other two companions as they checked over seeing if any where left alive.

"I think this one's still breathing" Dylan called over as he used his staff to poke at the body of a blond rogue, who groaned as he was poked harder as Dylan tried to wake him.

"Ugh… What? I rather thought I'd wake up dead or not at all, as the case maybe, but you haven't killed me; yet at least-" whatever else the Elf was going to say was cut short as Dylan poked him again.

"Ow" he bit out as he rubbed the spot of his upper arm, "an aggressive little mix aren't you?" another poke, "Lovely too." The elf said, voice dripping with sarcasm, as he batted the staff away.

"What will we do with him?" Neria asked as she leaned forward, scrutinising the man.

"He's not a pet Neria." Dylan replied dully.

"We should question him." Lyna stated as she joined them.

"Let me save you the time," the Elf interrupted before they could begin. "My name is Zevran, Zev to my friends; I am a member of the Antivan Crows brought here for the sole purpose of slaying any surviving Grey Wardens, which I have failed at, sadly."

"Which, we are quite happy about." Neria pointed out.

"So would I, in your shoes, for me however it sets a very poor president. Getting captured by the target seems slightly detrimental to one's assassin's career."

"Who hired you?" came a new voice, as Ruari and Aeden join them, ever slightly more pink than before.

"A rather unsavourily man from the capital, Loghain I think he's name was."

"Why are you just telling us all this?" Lyna questioned.

"I have no idea what your issues are with him, I assume it is the usual? You threaten his power, yes? Beyond that I am not loyal to him, I was contracted to perform a service."

"So, what happens to you now that you've failed?" Neria prompted

"Ah well you see that is between Loghain and the Crows, and the Crows and myself."

"Which means…?"

"Well, here's the thing. I failed to kill you, so my life is forfeit. That's how it works. If you don't kill me, the Crows will. Thing is, I like living. And you obviously are the sort to give the Crows pause. I can be very useful, I can spot other assassin, which the crows will send, and I have a long and large list of skills, so instead of wasting my… talents, I am offering to serve you instead." Zevren finished with a wink.

"Sure" Neria answer to variously looks and exclamations of shock.

"Have I slipped in to the fade? Because the fact that you just readily agreed to let an assassin, an assassin that was hired to kill you and your new friends, and literally just trying to do that not five minutes ago, suggests I must be dreaming, or well having a nightmare." Dylan rambled out.

"I agree with that one." Aeden added.

"You just got here!"Neria protested.

"Yes, and for someone who just got here I can tell, terrible plan. What to stop him killing you all in your sleep."

"Hey! I happen to be a very loyal person!" Zevran complained, Lyna answered him with an intimidating and judgemental raised eyebrow. "Well up until they expect me to die for failing." He amended. "That's not a fault, really, is it? I mean, unless you're the sort who would do the same thing. In which case I don't come very well recommended, I suppose"

"Na, though it looks like if we fail everyone's going to die anyways, so… A lot of incentive to not fail" Neria said cheerfully, "I say we keep him!"

"Maker it's like Anders and that damn cat all over again." Dylan sighed, resigned, letting him face dropped in to his open palm.

"Well as long as he doesn't become an abomination and try to kill everything I think we're good."

Lyna shook her head as she walked away muttering in Elvish.

"Well, your new friends are…. Interesting." Aeden said to Ruari.

Mwahahaha It's Zevran! I hope I got his character down well enough in this, have actually went back to rerwrite a few bits of the chapter i've already done to make sure I'm keeping the characters right. hope you all enjoyed this one!
