14: December 29th 1:15 P.M. 177th Branch Office Judgement

"The catering deposit has to be in by 3 this afternoon."

"I got it Konori, you can trust me?"

"After the business you pulled two days ago at the meeting with the supervisors, where we barley got this party approved you'd better be earnest about this."

"I'll keep that in mind, besides you're going to need me soon to get the equipment out of here anyway."

"Actually Sharai…" At that moment Sissy came out logging an end table my heart nearly sunk.

"Konori Why? You know I live for teleporting objects."

"Well Misaka happened to be free today since Uiharu's with Saten visiting the DJ, so she said she help move our equipment to the storage unit. Besides when we have to set back up after the party on the 4th well need your help again anyway."

That did lighten my mood a little Konori began sweeping as I left the office.. I waved to Sissy as my walk to the restraunt began. While walking my mind was on other stuff. The one thing that bugged me since we got the party approved was who I know would be showing up. Kongo more than likely, our classmates, along with Uiharu and Saten's and I know that some from the neighboring schools would be around as well. After a few minutes of boring walking the teleporting took over and within 45 seconds I ended up in front of the restaurant. The attendant who greeted me turned out to be the bigger surprise.

"Hello are you dinning alone to….Sharai!"

It took me a bit before I now realized who that was.

"You're?"

"I'll save you the trouble….Miho Jufku, Saten talks about you quite a bit."

My eyes did quite a double take. Jufku, known for her Dummy Check ability and one of the worst Level Upper crimes we dealt with this year actually had her hair did up.

"You're looking pretty great."

Jufku blushed in earnest. "Thanks….The eyebrows don't stand out as much with my work clothes here."

My mind then gave me an idea "Are you going to be working on Wednesday?"

"Not past 4:30."

"Well my branch at Judgment is throwing a New Year's Eve bash for anyone who wants to celebrate. Quite a few students from the schools are coming, I'm wondering if you'd be interested. I'm sure Saten would have invited you anyway, I'm just doing it out of convenience."

"Yeah, if Saten's going you know I'll join up. But what is this about convenience."

"I'm actually here because your restaurant here does catering and I have a deposit here for their services that evening."

Jufku smiled and led me to her managers where I promptly paid the deposit. While I waited for the receipt Jufku ended up asking me all about Saten and everything else that had been going on since we've last seen each other. Her face ended up in shock when I mentioned we were rooming together. Once the manager came back with the receipt I smiled and left. Now of course it was time to get back and hopefully find Sissy not finishing the job without me.

4:35 P.M.

"The plan is three separate rooms to be used for communication. One room will have 4 Tablets connected to cubicles with curtains so if anyone wanted to facetime or connect to love ones they have their own privacy and soundproof way of doing so."

"Well there must be a time limit on these things depending on how many people we'll have coming."

"Yeah there is a 15 minute window per person. Any tablet that becomes available must be taken within 2 minutes otherwise you'll be locked out."

"Now what about those who need longer than 15 minutes?"

"That Misaka is what the 2nd room will be for."

Konori led me into an empty room with a TV Set up. More open than the 4 cubicles this did allow for more freedom. But once question remained.

"Where's the computer set up?"

"Actually I got one better. Xbox ON!"

Once the Xbox menu booted up that's when I figured it out.

"You're using the Kinect camera and Skype."

"Yeah, all you need is voice recognition, and you can pretty much give anyone a call. Why don't you test it out."

My mind raced as I figured out who to guinea pig into this scenario. But then one name did pop up.

"Xbox Skype, Call Toma Kamijo."

The skype noise beeped back and forth until finally it got through.

"Hello,"

"Kamijo."

"Misaka, how did you get my number?"

"Never mind that, can you see me."

"No I can just only hear you, hold on."

It took a minute before I could now see his face. It seemed like he'd been through the ringer the last few days.

"Is that better?"

"Much. Hey the 177th branch of Judgment is throwing a New Years Eve Party on Wednesday. You and Index are welcome to attend."

Toma suddenly had a blank look on his face. "Wednesday might be a bit difficult."

"How So?"

"Would you be willing to meet me for lunch tomorrow afternoon and I can explain."

"Yeah where?"

"The mall where we stopped the gravitron guy has excellent Australian food. I'll be there at 2:30. Please come there's something big I've got to mention."

"As long as Index isn't there I'll come."

"No ploys just us. I'll see you then…" The feed cut out and my heart just went blank.

"The time limit will be 35 minutes per person and the signup order has to be reserved. This will only open an hour and a half after the party starts. Now if you can help me with…"

Konori continued giving me instructions on where to move stuff and while I did, my mind was on Kamijo and his conversation I'm now wrapped into.

"What's happening with him?"
