A/N: Hey, I'm back with a new chapter, it took me awhile to figure out how I was going to write this, and it didn't matter how many times I wrote it out, it just didn't seem to go the way I planned. But, oh well, this is good enough. Also, sorry about the spelling errors, my spelling is not my strong point. Though I have my beta back, computer problems, so thank you 'AspenDragonLord' for beta reading my chapter.
And also thanks to those who read my story, favoured, followed and reviewed. It made my day that you liked my story.
Enjoy Reading!
Prowl sighed.
The students sat quietly doing their work, like always. But it seemed quiet, maybe because he didn't have Bluestreak with him. The little sparkling was at home today with Prowl's mother; she finally had some time to spend with Bluestreak, which meant Prowl didn't have to drag him to school today. It was kind of nice to be a normal student for one day, not having to worry about Bluestreak.
Though sometimes it got lonely without Bluestreak, but that didn't bother him much as Jazz sat at the table behind him and he had Red Alert sitting on the left of him. It had been about 3 weeks now being friends with both of them. He was still a bit shocked to have made two friends in such a short time with each other so quickly.
The black and white Praxian sighed again, he didn't seem to be interested in classes lately. Must have to do with what happen a few weeks ago with the strange noises. But the whole school and parents were told that nothing happened and must have been some prank from the students. Prowl found that hard to believe, as the femme's voice sounded familiar.
The school bell ringing, telling all that were there that school was over for the day, brought Prowl out of his thoughts. Everyone stood up and packed up for the day, voices rising and students leaving. Prowl though packed up slowly, as though in a daze.
"Come on, Prowl!" Jazz said, jumping up onto Prowl's desk. "Ah have been waitin' all day for this, ya did tell yer parents, right?"
Prowl nodded, this was also another reason Prowl had his mother take care of Bluestreak. He was planning on visiting Jazz's house today. After Jazz met Red Alert for the first time, they would go to Red Alert's house a couple of times a week. Jazz and Red Alert got on enough, though they weren't the closest. Their first meeting was even iffy.
But one day, when the younger red and white met was serving some treats, he asked if they could go to Prowl's or Jazz's house next time. Jazz jumped at the chance to invite Prowl to his house, but reluctantly invited Red Alert, too. Who could, of course, go. Prowl had begged his mother to go, and finally she gave in.
"Great! Let's get going!" Jazz almost skipped out of the classroom while Red Alert and Prowl sedately followed. They all walked out the school gates and down the street to the nearest train station. On the way though, they made a stop at Red Alerts house, who went inside and got some snacks for the ride, as Jazz had informed them that the ride could take awhile.
Soon, they reached the train station, it's walls white floor a pale silver. The place gave off a very clean and pristine look. Jazz then led Red Alert and Prowl to a booth where they could get their tickets, using those tickets to get through the turnstile. They then walked down a flight of stairs to the 3rd platform, and waited for their train to arrive.
"Jazz?" Prowl said with a soft voice, as though it was forbidden to speak at all.
"Yeah?"
"Where do you live?"
Jazz didn't speak, as though the question was not to be answered. It was like this for a moment, Prowl was going to tell Jazz to not answer if he didn't want to. But Jazz beat him to it.
"Ah live further down towards Iacon; that's why we have to take a train." Jazz said with a nervous smile, which was very unusual. Jazz had been excited all day, keep telling them he couldn't wait. Now that they were going, all that confidence seemed to have disappeared.
Prowl only nodded, he was going to ask why Jazz was nervous, but then he guessed he would see when they got there. Silence then again took place; no one said a thing. Prowl knew Jazz wasn't going to make conversation like he usually does, and he wasn't one to make conversation either. But he didn't have to worry long as the quiet and shy Red Alert filled in the silence.
"D-Do you have a lot of family there?"
Prowl looked at Red Alert confused, the quiet mech almost never started a conversation, too nervous of what would happened if he did. But seeing Jazz calm down and relax a little told Prowl why the smaller mech started to speak. Prowl was grateful for what Red Alert did, because he knew he would not do so.
Jazz smiled, at times he was jealous of the smaller mech, how he become so close to Prowl so soon, even faster then he did. But then there was times that he liked the mech, and felt stupid of some of his thoughts about him. Like now, he was was nervous of what his friends would say about where he lived or about his family. But talking relaxed him, he always got tense when there was no conversation.
"Not many, Ah have my father and two younger brothers, hopefully, ya get to meet them. They are great and Ah love them so much, but don't tell my brothers I said that." Jazz said with a laugh at the end, he loved his brothers, but they didn't take too lightly with being told that all the time. They usually say that it is too lovey-dovey for them.
Red Alert smiled, Jazz's family seem to be okay. But he would judge them when he met them, and maybe got to know them a bit. They couldn't be too bad, Jazz was a nice mech and when Prowl told him how they met, Jazz seemed to be even nicer.
The screeching of the train stopping brought the three friends out of their thoughts, Jazz was the first one to enter the train. It was very clean and pristine just like the station they were at, and it had to levels. A top and a bottom, Jazz led them to the top level, and picked a three-seater. Once they and everyone else were on, the train started again, pulling away slowly and then speeding up.
Though, the train was nice, it was not the only one they took. It went as far as the last nicest train station, and then Jazz led them off and onto a another platform. This platform was not as nice as the other, this one was clean, but not as clean as the others. Soon the train arrived and they hopped on, the train taking them to an even dirtier train station, where Jazz told them to get off.
Red Alert was starting to worry now, the beautiful city of Iacon vanishing and being replaced by the lower part of the city. This was where most of the poorer part of the city lived, and it was not as well looked after like the capital was.
"A-Are you sure we are going the right way?" Red Alert couldn't help but ask.
Jazz only replied with a nervous smile and a nod, he didn't really speak much on their travel to his house. Only Prowl and Red Alert talked while Jazz listened, which was very strange. Soon, the train stopped, and they all hopped off.
"We're almost there, we just have ta walk tha rest of tha way." Jazz said.
"Walk! In this place?" Red Alert was starting to panic now, "Are you sure we don't have the wrong address?" The smaller mech walked as close as he could to Prowl, hoping that he would be safer that way.
Prowl sighed, this was not where he thought they were going, he felt relieved he didn't take Bluestreak. The streets were dirty and there were many who were outside, staring at them. He felt very uncomfortable to be here, and felt like he didn't belong.
Prowl's optics caught a young femme, maybe a year or two younger then him. She had a young sparkling with her, not as young as Bluestreak, but still young. Prowl thought that maybe it was her little sister, but at a second glance, the sparkling didn't seem like just a sibling, more like a daughter.
Prowl wondered if this was normal down here, to have sparklings at a young age, and that was maybe why Jazz accepted him so quickly. Prowl felt confused, he didn't think Jazz would live such a poor life, the school he was going to is very expensive. And for Jazz to go there his family would have to have spent all their money. But what about Jazz's brothers, did they not go to an expensive school either?
"We're here!" Jazz called out, pointing at a falling-to-bits house.
"It's... lovely" Red Alert said slowly, not sure what to think of the place.
Jazz only smiled shyly, and headed in the direction of the house. He was tense all over, and Prowl could see it.
"Your house is lovely Jazz, and seems to be really... Homey." Prowl tried to reassure Jazz.
"Thanks, Prowl." Jazz grinned, he felt a little better, knowing that his friends were not going to judge too harshly. They saw his neighborhood, what else could they say for the inside? Jazz then led them to his front door, opening it and calling out.
"Hey, Pa I'm- What are you doing here?"
A/N: Hahaha, I know most of you hate cliffhangers, but I couldn't help myself. Oh and you guys probably noticed that I skipped time, but if I had to write out every day, this story would never end. So skipping time is going to start happening now, and yes, I did decide to use Red Alert as a permanent friend in here. I had some ideas hit me, and Red Alert is just adding to the story, so you will also see him in here too.
Thanks for reading, and the next chapter will hopefully be out soon!
