Chapter 7: They Talk!?

*About 10 minutes later.*

*Current time 7:00 P.M*

"C'mon keep running," I shouted my lungs longing for air.

"Zor…" Zorua said, starting to run out of breath.

"I know, I'm out of breath too, but this place is bad, really bad." I said, gasping for hair.

As I looked around I could tell something was wrong. It's just the feeling I got there. Even though the sun was peeking over the tips of the trees, the mix of dark and light creating a vicious purple tint on the trees. The road looked like it was in bad condition, with dreadful red colored mushrooms sprouting out of the land and brown weeds sticking out like claws from the dry ground. I didn't even want to be here barefoot, I felt bad for Zorua who was closer to the ground. The smell in the air, was almost like the smell of something rotting. The forest was silent as a lonely house.

If Latias went bonkers earlier from the people, she sure must have went crazy here. I eventually started to slow down.

As soon as Zorua noticed, he shouted at me, probably for slowing down.

"I'm sorry keep going," I said, slowing down to a walk.

He slowed down with me and we both started to catch our breath.

"What are you doing? Don't mind me get going!" I said, starting to walk while I catch my breath.

He walked with me and watched me. He had somehow already caught his breath and appeared to be waiting for me.

"What?" I asked, wondering if he was going back to that strange attitude where he simple disliked me, like at the Pokémon hospital.

I looked at my watch which read 7:10 P.M. 50 minutes till, this place becomes bad. I looked up and started to run, my head starting to hurt from something about the place. I started to become dizzy but I kept on running. My vision blurred and swayed.

"Zor!" said Zorua, stopping for me again.

I shook my head and all of it returned to normal. I got chill bumps, I really needed to get out of here, if just the aura of this place made me woozy like that then I really have to get going. But something in the back of my head disagreed. The fact that I became woozy had something to do with me.

I ignored the gut feeling and went back to running. But as quickly as the wooziness left it returned. What is this feeling, in all of the medical books I've ever read theirs never been symptoms of an illness or malnutrition like this. For an illness to happen so suddenly it wasn't possible and if it were malnutrition I would've felt some kind of symptom much earlier. There was no way that I could've been poisoned when Tom fed us, otherwise it would be effecting Zorua, who's body is much smaller.

Then what is this feeling I have. I fell to my knees and held my head with one hand and kept myself up with the other.

"Zorua…" I could hear Zorua's voice trail off.

My eyes closed quickly without me allowing it.

"Don't," I muttered to myself and fell over. Is it possible that the forest is doing this to me, but no it's not the forest, it's me. I can feel it, something was wrong inside my body, but it had something to do with the forest, a little.

"Come on move!" shouted the Zorua.

Oh dear, now I'm hearing things.

"Get a grip!" shouted Zorua. Stop these are my internal thoughts, I have to get them out of my mind. My vision became dark and I closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes, and I was looking at myself? I moved my eyes around in the darkness, but all I could see was myself in front of me. As I looked closer, I saw things that weren't me. For one my hair wasn't as dark. This other me had an angry frown on his, or my, face. Then the final thing that gave it away was that he was much younger.

I got up and looked around in the darkness. Then I looked down at myself, I was much smaller, probably around 6 judging by my height.

"Good you're awake Rouku," came my mother's voice from the darkness.

Then the other me woke up and stood up beside me.

"Good you're both awake," said my mother's voice, but slightly younger and less hoarse. "We're going to test on you, to see if we can give you the ability to talk to Pokemon!"

That's ridiculous I thought to myself.

"Alright here we go, Doctor will you?" asked my mom. "Kids remember what I what you to do, right?"

"Yes mam!" said the doctor, in the distance.

Two abras appeared beside us.

Then my body took over without myself agreeing to its actions. I sat down and took what seemed to be a meditation position.

After a certain amount of time, my mother said," Time is up, did you guys hear anything?"

Me and my doppelganger shook my head.

"Hmph, how sad," said my mom.

"Mam, I found something relatively interesting." Came the voice of the doctor.

"What?"

"Well you see with my calculations, I believe they won't be able to pull this off until their 14. That and my sensors found something interesting with Roukou."

"Aura reading?"

"Very high, mam!"

"We finally have one then!"

"Yes it seems we do, however we must let him mature before we can start the next part of the process. The strain that the project will put on him will kill him!"

"Understood Doctor! Then for now I'll make him powerful and I'll train him. However what about the talking part?"

"Hmm… That part of the project is not doing so well, the process is quite sophisticated."

His voice started to trail off until I fell over on my side and my eyes closed.

I opened my eyes again, but only darkness was there to comfort me. In the darkness, small sparks of bright light stayed lit and stood still.

"Zorua, Zorua!" screamed something to my left.

I turned my head and saw Zorua.

"Hello Zorua," I said patting his head.

"Grr!" He nipped at me finger.

The pain traveled up my arm and quickly woke me up.

"Ow!," I said rubbing my finger.

"Where am I?" I wondered to myself. The Path of Ghosts was wear I last was.

My eyes opened wide as I realized the lights were stars, and the darkness was due to the night.

I felt around for a button on my watch, and pressed it. The watch glowed with a green tint and read in black bold numbers, '12:16 A.M'

Oh dear, this is terrible, I thought to myself.

"Hahahaha," something chuckled coldly behind me.

I turned around but nothing was there, it must have been a ghastly.

Zorua, looked at me with fear in his eyes. The forest seemed to get colder as I slightly shuddered.

"Zorua, we've got to get out of here. On the count of three we run for it." I said, standing up and crossing my arms for warmth. "One, two… What's wrong Zorua?"

His face was contorted with fear, tears were in his eyes. He took a step back his legs shaking.

"Zorua, are you alright?" I asked, getting closer to him.

As I looked closely his eyes weren't on me but what was behind me.

I looked behind me and a large black object was there. It was circular with yellow zig-zagging stripes.

"It's a Dusknoir!" I screamed. "Run!"

I started to run and within minutes I was a yard away from the big creature. I turned my head and noticed that Zorua silently sat there too scared to move.

The Dusknor lifted his hand up as if asking me for a dance, but then a bright ball of light appeared.

"Zorua, don't look!" I shouted covering my own eyes.

As I closed my eyes I could see the bright light through my eyelids. But after a few seconds the light faded away and I was able to open my eyes.

Confuse-ray a cheap move that was considered dirty in tournaments.

"Zorua, Zorua!" I shouted, looking at him as he stood there. He swayed from right to left and turned around to me face me, A light smile on his lips.

"Snap out of it!" I said, slowly walking up to him scared of the Dusknoir.

I took a closer looked at the large ghost. It had a small head for its body and a single red neon eye seemed to light the forest with a peculiar red glare. A tall yellow antenna shaped object slowly moved from side to side on its head.

"Mrr…" It said, I couldn't tell if it was a moan or a growl.

"Leave us, we have nothing to do with you!" I said, trying to remember how to repel ghosts. I knew however this was a creature on a far different level from what I can do.

He glared at me and then slowly disappeared, like a shadow disappearing before a rising sun. But I could still feel him, he was here, in the shadows of the night, lurking around for the one second we're caught off guard.

"Zorua!" I said, kneeling down to pat him.

The pupils in his eyes were gone, leaving a ghostly cyan iris left. He didn't close his eyes to avoid it, at the moment he could be thinking about anything.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't do more, such as cover you. However I swear on this life that you will be safe!" I said, gently putting my arms around him to pick him up. Well at least this should wear off eventually, if I give him around 5 minutes, he should be fine.

I started to stand up when he growled lightly.

"What's wrong?" I called down to him.

Then he bit my hand hard.

"Gahh!" I shouted in pain, and dropped him. He ran deeper into the forest.

"Come back!" I shouted, trying to decide if I should run after him. "The further you traverse into the forest, the more hostile it gets!"

However he ran further as if a menace were pursuing him.

I bit down on my lower lip and ran after him through the forest woods, but it seemed that the trees itself were holding me back with branches that grew right at head height or roots that poked out from beneath the earth. The darkness turned Zorua into a moving black mass with a red spike on his head. Soon he was too far for me to even see.

I eventually stopped and looked around, lost. Inside this cursed woods was there any hope of finding Zorua?

I put down my bag and frantically searched around for a cylindrical object. Beads of sweat rolled down my head for fear of what was behind me. Then my hand touched something cold and smooth with a rubbery feel on my thumb.

I grabbed it with a strong grip and turned around while pressing the button. Light sprayed from my flashlight and cut through the darkness. Nothing stood there, but only the shadows. I quickly looked around scanning for hostiles, then I slowly grabbed my bag by its handle, keeping my ears prone to sudden noises. I took another look at my watch and pressed the button on it. '12:19 A.M'.

I inspected the bleeding bite mark on my hand. He had bit me pretty hard, as my blood slowly moved to the bandages soaking it and making it red. I left it alone for now, and tried my best to ignore the pain.

Zorua was probably still confused from the Dusknoir so it would only do me harm if I called for him. I crouched down and zipped my bag closed. I breathed in and breathed out trying to calm my nervousness. I stood up and walked forward the flashlight lighting my path.

After I was sure that the 2 minutes were up, I checked my watch, '12:24 A.M'. I breathed in and shouted," Zorua."

The silence felt as though it thickened after my words faded into the darkness. I felt as though multiple beings were staring at me. Becoming even more nervous I ran and kept shouting," Zorua, Zorua!"

After thirty minutes of running and shouting for Zorua, I stopped and took a break to catch my breath. Then I found that my right arm was stuck on a branch. I tore off the bandages from my right arm and continued. Then after taking another few steps I ripped the bandages off my left arm.

I looked down at my arm and saw three long red scars on my right arm and around my knuckles and elbows were more scars.

I had gotten deeper into the forest, and the deeper I got, the more it felt as though the forest were a crowd of people that were becoming more and more unforgiving. I looked behind me, feeling as though someone were chasing me.

I stood with my head turned behind me towards the deep maw of darkness. No one was there, I confirmed and sighed. I looked the other way and saw a dark see through object. I looked up a little higher and saw the red eyes of a gengar as his smile widened.

I quietly let out a whimper and stood there with both of my legs turning into lead. Then suddenly he licked my face with a big red tongue and disappeared. I couldn't bend my legs, nor my body matter of fact .I stood there, fearing what could happen next. I looked at the watch with my eyes but I couldn't read the time.

How long was I going to stand here for, paralysis by fear usually lasted for a few minutes. The longer I stood there, the more worried I became. Time passed by and I slowly thawed out of my paralysis and eventually I fell to the ground, my legs becoming numb and asleep.

After a few more minutes I checked my watch, '12:50 A.M'.

One more I'll sit here for just another minute and I should be able to walk again.

The minute passed and I stood up and felt normal as if nothing happened. I continued to run and shouted," Zorua, where are you. Please come back!"

The night went on as I ran through the darkness with a single light. I had actually become used to the strange aura of fear, which surprised me. I was usually the type person that would be scared and then continue to be scared for the next few days.

The moon was in the center of the sky and the stars were like ornaments on a dress, surrounding the large moon. The forest felt endless as my stamina started to melt away with the darkness.

Then suddenly the forest was lit with a light blue glare. I jumped back and looked around.

Then the blue glare spread, and the forest became warmer.

Then a blue fire floated passed me. Will-o-wisps!

I started to run trying to avoid getting burned. But as I looked behind me the flames followed me moving at the same speed that I was moving at. Why do ghosts know how to throw balls of fire but not fire-types I wondered to myself as I ran.

The blue glare followed me without brightening nor dimming down. How do I get away I wondered to myself. Eventually I was going to stop whether I wanted to or not, and those balls of flame can go anywhere I can, except a river. But the river was far from here, trying to get to it would mean that I would, one, lose track of Zorua, two, get lost trying to go there.

The trees before me became bright with a blue tint. A single chandelure came out from behind a tree, with a ring of blue flame surrounding him.

Well at least I found the source of the fire, however I couldn't do anything but run. I turned to my left and continued to escape the fire. I glanced over my shoulder and saw the chandelure wasn't giving chase, he floated there watching me with his yellow eyes.

Was it luring me into a trap? If it was it seemed that it was very well planned out, as the blue flames surrounded me. I stopped running and I looked around, watching the flames form a circle around me. Was this it, was this how I was going to go down? However I could still escape but I'd probably be heavily injured and as I escape the blue flames were most likely going to surround me again. At least I can stall and have a chance of escaping if I were to do that.

I waited trying to figure out how I can get out of this situation. The flames slowly started to close in on me. I took off my bag and slipped my right arm through both of the straps, holding it like a shield.

Then I shouted again," Zorua where are you!"

But only the fire responded with heavy popping sounds. I turned to my right and started to run towards the blue flame with my back pack in front of me. The flames parted as I charged through the ring. I kept running till the flames were out of sight. Then I stopped to inspect my bag and found that it looked perfectly fine.

'What a strong back pack,' I thought to myself. I put it on my back and continued towards the center of the forest. However why wasn't the chandelure chasing me, matter of fact why was one here. Chandelure's were really rare in the wild. Matter of fact Dusknoirs only come from people that release them, there's no other way of evolving from a dusklops. Was it possible that those people dresses up like wizards, were still on my tail? Then while I was paralyzed by the gengar they could've easily got me, unless they were letting there pokemon do their thing. All the way out here, in the middle of the night? Not only that but people who use Pokémon of this caliber were not to be underestimated. Things are getting uglier by the second don't they?

"Zorua!" I shouted, sounding more afraid. It was far past 5 minutes and he has not appeared yet. I continued to move forward, my body tired from the use of stamina and the stress that was put on my mind. At this rate I won't even be able to go find Latias tonight.

"You still go after this hardship for Zorua, after all that was done to you?" asked a hoarse voice from behind me. Its voice rose chill bumps on my skin. The voice sounded rough, like if the voice's owner had never drank water in its life

I turned around, the dusknoir stood there. Zorua was under his right arm, looking comfortable and perfectly fine.

"Wait what?" I asked, he just talked didn't he?

"Human you understand me?" Asked the Dusknoir, just as confused.

"Yes, but how," I knew some pokemon had telepathy, but never to this extent. I knew a lot of psychic pokemon are said to be able to read emotions and to tell you them, but never speech.

"Zorua!" said Zorua, normally.

I looked back between the two. I can understand one but not the other, very interesting.

"You understand him?" asked Dusknoir.

"No, but I can understand you as if you were speaking our language."

"No matter, have back your Zorua," said the Dusknoir, giving him to me.

I grabbed him and said," Thank you."

"Those are the words that I must say."

"Why's that?"

"For caring for your pokemon."

"Excuse me?"

"I only took him out of your hands because I was worried who you were. But now I can see clearly that you are much better than the others that have passed by here. All of them ditched their own pokemon like items after I took them. However you, you went through all that trouble to save him."

"Wait why do you care?"

"I was ditched the same way. I was forced to battle someone that was much too powerful for me and I lost. My former master claiming that I was simply weak abandoned me. For that I wanted to save pokemon that were tools in a human's eyes."

"Is that what happened to the Chandelure, and maybe even that Gengar?"

"Yes, those two were both abandoned by my master. Your Zorua should be able to understand too. He too was thrown out."

Then pieces of the puzzle fit together in my head, which explains why he treated me so badly when we first met. This explains everything…

"Dusknoir, why don't you join me." I said happily.

"You would want me to join you?" Then he started to laugh heartily as if I told him a joke.

"Come on bring Chandelure and Gengar too!"

"Thank you for the offer, but we no longer want to be controlled. We're free, I suppose you can say. If only I had met you 25 years earlier…"

"25 years, you've been here for that long?"

"We three know nothing else to do but try to free the pokemon that trainers have no care for."

"I understand where you're coming from I suppose."

"You look familiar however, have you ever came here before?"

"No I was stuck in a house, on a mountain, for most of my life."

"Perhaps I am growing old then. You have my apologies for bothering you, I shall leave now."

"Wait! Did a Latias pass by here? She was disguised as a human girl."

"Yes, or at least I think so. I could feel a powerful presence coming off a random human passerby."

"Were they being pursued?"

"No."

"Good," I said sighing in relief.

"You seem familiar, what is your name?"

"Roukou Kago, why?"

"Kago!" He grabbed me by my shirt and lifted me.

"You are the son of my former master!"

"Wait no way she's a Fighting type leader, what would she have any ghost-types. It's probably that Kago is a common last name!" I said, partially choking.

The dusknoir slowly put me back down.

"Sorry, I can't help myself. I would like to get revenge but searching for her is impossible from where am I. She's too far for me to search for and ghost types are feared by your kind."

"So maybe you'll find her if you were with me."

"I highly doubt it, but someday we plan on searching for her."

"Sounds good, I was glad that I was able to meet you, and be able to talk to you, however why am I able to talk to you?"

He shrugged and said, "The road is that way." He pointed to my right and disappeared into the night.

Me and Zorua were back on the road and were running at top speed to the next town. I prayed in my mind that we were to meet up with Latias and Eevee somewhere along the way and that they weren't in trouble.

The forest felt less threatening knowing who lived in them. I looked at my watch, '1:30 A.M'.

Surprisingly I kept up with Zorua, maybe we had both exhausted out stamina. I couldn't even tell what kept me on my feet, my will and determination, or to have a companion by my side that was still on his feet.

There was still one question in my mind, what was going on. I could speak to a Dusknoir, and never before have I ever talked to a pokemon in the wild. Perhaps I had something to do with the pokemon I was speaking to? Perhaps something was strange with the Dusknoir, had to be right?

But then what explained Zorua speaking earlier. I was just hearing things right? Something in the back of my mind said that I was just trying to cover it with a paper-thin lie. However how does a pokemon speak English? It just made no sense.

What about those dreams though, it seemed to show things that were important. But it was obviously just a dream. Of course I don't remember anything before the age of 7 but I'm sure there was an explanation to it… Besides I had no twin brother back then, right? I had no aura skills, those were only something that were in legends!

Well if Zorua spoke a few minutes ago why isn't he talking now? All of it was just my imagination. But still my mind couldn't figure out something for that Dusknoir.

Dawn broke the icy winds as we finally left the eerie feeling behind. Zorua and I slowed down and were walking now. My body felt like lead from being exhausted. I wished nothing more than a comfortable shower and with hope I can find Latias quickly and we can rest at an Inn. However where was she? I told her that I will meet up with her, but not where.

"Zorua you must be exhausted." I said, just starting to think about it.

"Zorua!" He said, sounding overly happy. However weariness was written all over his face.

"Get back in the ball," I said taking out his pokeball. I pressed the button on it and the ball expanded. The laser shot from the ball and at Zorua, who had a facial expression that said I will regret it later.

After Zorua left, my body stiffened with exhaustion. This was a little bit passed my body limits. I continued on, walking forward into the new hot day.

I yawned as I continued on down the dirt road. Town was still a good distance away, and so my chances to find Latias were still alright.

As I continued down the road I was expecting to find Latias hiding somewhere. Then maybe she would just jump out and get me, but that didn't happen.

The heat intensified to the point that I walked beside the trees so I could use their shadow, but that didn't help. Even the wind seemed to be warm this morning.

I had to be minutes away from the city but Latias was still nowhere to be found. Just how far did she go?

"Hey kid, Kid!" Came a hushed voice. I looked around confused. "Notice me, I'm over here!"

"Notice me?" I repeated, it sounded more like someone's thoughts.

"To your right!" said the hushed voice. This time I realized it was a woman's. I looked to my right and saw Latias, looking at me while hiding halfway behind a thick tree.

Hold it was it her that was talking? I already established the fact that it was not possible to talk to pokemon. For one no one ever did it before, two I hadn't done a single thing that would allow me to have such a power. Besides I couldn't talk to Zorua, right?

"Come over here!" she said without opening her mouth. Maybe it was some kind of special telepathy, I hope it was, it was the only thing that would make sense.

I walked over to her and we went back into hiding behind a tree. Eevee leaned against the tree starting to fall asleep on the other side. Latias forced me to duck down into hiding with her.

"Eevee thanks for protecting Latias, now have a good rest." I took out her pokeball and put her inside.

"Why did you want me to come back here?" I muttered to her. She quickly put a finger over her lips and stood back up to look around.

"Someone's pursuing us?" I asked, silently.

She nodded her head and ducked down. Right then and there my head became light with sleepiness.

"He's not looking too good either." Said Latias.

"What?" I said, surprised.

"You… You can hear my telepathy, and understand it?" She asked, turning around to face me. Her brows crumpled into a small frown.

"Yes, actually I can." I said quietly. Was I really talking to her, and was that even possible. Was it possible that I can understand her telepathy?

"Since when?" She asked, surprised, her voice echoing in my head.

"I… I don't know," I said, accepting the truth. I was 'talking' to her, but not Zorua. But I could talk to Dusknoir too, maybe it had something to do with age or evolution. This made no sense, but now wasn't the time for this. "Right now isn't the time to ask. What's going on, what are we hiding from."

"The usual," she said, a slight look of irritation bolted across her face at the thought of who we were running from. Then she looked at me strangely as if she saw something that she never saw before. "Wait when did you have such a noticeable aura?"

"I have an aura?" I asked just as confused.

"What are you hiding?" She asked, starring into my eyes.

"I hide nothing, I just found out about what you're talking." I said, staring back at her.

"You're lying," She said, glaring at me with distrust.

I frowned and then ignored her, the argument was pointless.

"C'mon let's get going," I said, standing back up.

"Hold it, there's a blockade of those oddly dressed men down this road. There's no way to get past them without taking some kind of scenic route!"

I sat back down and pulled out my map. She stared at me with eyes that seemed to look at something behind me. I frowned and opened the map.

"Who's side are you on?" she asked.

"What?"

"Are you a friend or foe? I can't figure it out from your emotions, just a second ago you told a lie, but now your emotions say that you are helping me."

"If I wanted to turn you in, I would've already done so. Two I gave you the medicine and I've helped you this far. Of course I'm on your side."

She looked at me with distrust in her eyes. Why was I so easy to distrust, it was first Zorua and now Latias. What seems like half the people in this world disliked me, including the group of people in robes. I'll help her completely, she can't tell me that I'm her enemy if I do that, right?

"Hey they're here!" shouted someone from the other side of the bush. Latias lifted a half scared hand to the bushes and a moved a couple branches aside slowly.

"They're here…" she said in mind.

We slowly started to creep away when suddenly someone shouted. "You two, stop!"

We both carefud around to find a man in robes glaring at us. Beside him was a Purugly that was read to strike at us at the word of his master. The man held a strange device that beeped loudly as he shifted it from me then to Latias.

Seconds passed as the man stared us down. Were we really at the end of our line, I wondered. If I can hold those two off then we'll be okay, I would have to give my pokeballs to Latias first though.

I put my hand in my pocket and slowly pulled it out, feeling both pokeballs in my hand. Sweat went down my back as I tried to figure out what we were to do. I looked at Latias from the corner of my eye, who seemed just as stunned. Then I peered back to the man who started to put the device away.

"You must be the gym leader's son!" said the wizard.

"I will never let you get your hands on that girl," I shouted and ran at the guy.

"Oh really?" he said sarcastically.

With that said, I started to doubt myself. For one I was probably more exhausted than I thought I was, meaning that I won't be able to do certain things that I think I would normally be able to do. Two, Eevee and Zorua were too tired to fight. Finally, Purugly was a pokemon that I don't think I can mess with. If I'm not careful, even with a Zorua and an Eevee that feline was not only faster, but at least twice as strong. By the time even one of my pokemon land a hit, it would be over.

Then Latias made the first move, she breathed in sharply and breathed back out, sending the two flying away and causing the branches in the trees in front of her to snap. She broke out of her human form and dropped my shirt that, was still attached to her ankle.

She grabbed my arm with her left hand and she took off, by levitating up. Then she flew down the road as quick as possible.

The claws in her fingers added scratches to my already injured arm, but it was better than being captured. I looked down and saw the barricade of people looking down up at us. But before I could see what else they did, we had disappeared.

"Latias, fly a couple of yards away from the city," I shouted, the howl of the wind making me deaf.

"Alright!" she said, and started to dive down at top speed.

"Latias, don't you think we should stop…" I asked as the land got closer.

She didn't stop but the land was a few yards away.

"Latias," I shouted scared.

She didn't stop at all and the land was a yard away.

"Latias!" I screamed, closing my eyes.

But there was no pain, I opened my eyes and found that she had stopped at the last second.

Latias let my arm go and dropped me to the ground. But I stood in the same position, still kind of surprised that I was alive.

Latias returned to her human form as I came back to my senses.

I could feel some blood trickle down my arm again, and unfortunately my bandages weren't there to stop the bleeding.

I searched my bag for bandages and a shirt.

That was when I noticed Latias stared at me, the expression on her face confuse

"What's up?" I asked, without looking up.

"Sorry about the scar on your arm," she apologized, with her voice echoing in my head.

"No problem, but that's not what you wanted to say, right?" I said, pulling out a medical kit.

"Why do you persist on helping me? I mean, I appreciate it, but still, I threw you against a wall, you were completely beaten up, now the large scratch on your arm, why?" she asked, sounding more regretful. I opened the medical kit and took out a roll of bandages.

I sat down and quickly rapped my arm. "I truly am not sure…"

"What do you mean?" she asked, just as confused as I was.

"I'm not really sure myself. Whether it's because it's the sense of finishing something that I stared…"

"Well actually Eevee did..." Latias cut in.

"Well true, but I still feel like part of it. Then the fact that I promised to help you. Maybe the fact that I never had such a sensation of adventure, in a long time." I said, picking up a pair of scissors from my med-kit and cut the bandage.

"I'm sorry I put you through so much pain." She said, with a sad tone to her voice.

"Not like it's completely your fault. I was pretty much kicked out of my house to begin with."

I closed the kit, and rummaged around for a shirt.

"Aren't you upset?" she asked me.

"Nope, in fact this is kind of fun. Reminds me of 8 years ago… Never mind," I said clearing my mind of old memories.

"8 years ago," she asked.

"Nothing, nothing, forget I mentioned it," I said, the memories lingering in my head. They weren't bad, nor embarrassing, it was just a weird memory. "Besides that, without you I would've never met Zorua, right?"

I found a simple black shirt and put it on. I tried to stand up and fell back down.

"What's wrong?" asked Latias.
