Chapter 8: Travels.

"That's a Latias," said Aria.

Latias and I exchanged nervous looks, and looked back at Aria, who was either trembling in awe, or fear. I couldn't tell from the face she was making, perhaps both. She slowly got to her feet, glaring at the two of us.

"Aria…" I started to say, unsure of what I should say.

'Should I fly you to the next town?' asked Latias, her voice ruminating in my head.

My body felt weak as I felt fatigue and hunger eat away at my body. My knees finally let me go and I fell to the ground. Heat sucked away whatever energy I had left.

"Roukou? Roukou!" said Latias, her voice sounding distant.

"Roukou!" said Aria in the distance.

I could see Latias glare at Aria who came into view.

My head became light and the world started to become dizzy. I closed my eyes as I started to become dizzier. I could feel a soft and warm something, perhaps hand, touch my face.

"We need to get him to some shade, it looks like he's suffering from some heat stroke. Help me carry him over…" Aria's voice trailed off.

I closed my eyes and felt a heavy fever run across my body.

I woke up with something cool on my forehead. I couldn't remember my dream, this time. But my head ached and I knew that I will soon remember it.

Whatever was on my head was cool and fairly soft and light. I opened my eyes and found cracks of dark light against soft white light.

Where was I?

Then my eyes averted, the dark cracks formed into dark tree branches with lush green leaves spreading from them.

"Are you awake?" asked a feminine voice from my right.

I got up and something fell from my forehead. It fell into my lap and felt something wet spread across my pants. I looked down and saw that it was a wet piece of white fabric, most likely a face cloth.

My head ached and I felt dizzy, still unsure of where I was.

"You still look bad, you should lay back down." Said the voice.

I didn't know what to say, but the first thought that came to mind was, "Mom?" I asked.

"No silly, this is Aria," said Aria. I finally got enough of myself back together to figure out that the voice belonged to Aria.

"Hold out your hand," said Aria.

I did as I was instructed, putting my hand out towards her.

Aria put something in my hand and said," Eat it, you'll feel better after eating something."

I looked at the object and saw it was blue and sort of rough. I couldn't recognize what it was. It was blue and was the size of my palm, it was also round and sort of oval shaped.

I bit into it without thinking and suddenly I realized, it was an Oran berry. With that one bite, I started to savagely eat through the fruit. Aria watched me with a small grin, finding it comedic how I ate.

When I finished I stared at my hand, looking at the bloodied bandage on my hand. Zorua had bit me pretty hard, as my hand was still in pain from his bite. Then I slowly realized that for some strange reason every single Pokémon I met so far has tried to hurt me. Once again I had a new scar.

I was still hungry but I didn't want to seem rude or greedy so I held myself back.

"Thanks," I finally said.

I finally got around to picking up the face cloth off my lap, that had already left a square shaped wet spot.

Aria's panpour peered quietly from behind Aria and shyly stared at me.

"Sorry, he's not a 'people' pokemon if you get my gist." She said, moving out of the way.

I slowly bent over to rub his fountain shaped head. He backed away at first, then he let me rub his head and slowly smiled and purred.

"I'm surprised how fast he got used to you. Are you some kind of breeder, or something?" Aria asked.

"Just a doctor," I said as he jumped into my lap. She nodded and looked at me as if she were waiting for me to say something.

"What happened?" I finally asked, hoping that that was what she wanted me to say.

"You suffered from heat stroke," she said, then added," And injuries."

I guess that was what she wanted to know, the scars.

Then I went on for a while, explaining what happened over the past few days. Explaining from how I met Latias, to how I traveled here to find and cure her sick brother, and how the robed men were chasing me. Surprisingly Aria took it in, as though this were normal for every trainer to experience. Which reminded me," Where's Latias," I asked.

"Latias left to go see if she can find more berries." Aria answered.

"Well thanks for taking care of me," I said about to get up.

"Hold it, you shouldn't move about, yet. It's bad for your health." Said Aria, putting a hand on my shoulder and pushing me back down.

"Thanks for having concern for me, but if I stick around here you might get caught in this conflict," I said and continued to stand up.

"Well we still have time till Latias comes back," she insisted.

"Well that's true," I said, and sat back down. "Wait where are my goggles!?"

"In your bag, I put them there because I didn't want you to suffocate while you laid down."

I sighed and dug through my bag, which I found out was being used as my temporary pillow. I put them on my forehead and laid back down.

Silence consumed our voices as we awkwardly stared at each other.

"Umm… So Aria, why do you travel, is it to become the very best trainer, or is it for the contests?" I asked, valiantly slicing through the silence.

"I'm traveling to go see my sick uncle." She said, her face becoming dark and sad.

"Oh… I'm sorry." I said, then bit my tongue and forced myself to tread on. "What's he sick with?"

"I'm not so sure of the illness. We're too poor to have a doctor identify it."

"Then give me a shot at him." I said trying to drag her out of her misery. "I'm training to become a doctor of both people and Pokémon!"

She stared at me with a sad look in her eyes.

"I'll do this only under one condition, keep Latias a secret." I said, grinning lightly. I stuck my hand out to her.

She stared at it for a second, and then smiled and said," Sure why not!"

She stuck her hand out and shook my hand.

"After we get Latias to her brother, then we'll head straight to your uncle's house, if that's alright with you," I said.

"Of course," she said, smiling. "However I have a condition, let me travel with you guys. It's a once in a life time chance to travel with a Latias."

"Alright! Well, let's wait for Latias then," I said, sitting back down. I dug into my bag and found my goggles putting them on.

"So how did you end up on that mountain?"

I processed the question but strangely didn't receive an answer. I never had that question, and when I did, I wouldn't really think about it.

"So?" asked Aria.

"You know, I have no idea. All my memories lead me to the fact that I lived on the mountain for a long time." I said, trying to remember a time that I was ever off the mountain.

"Well that must suck then!" Aria said sighing.

"Say Aria, how did you know that Latias went to find Oran Berries?" I asked.

"She pointed at the Oran berry then pointed towards a different direction. If I'm correct there was a couple shrubs that way so, I'm just presuming." Said Aria, unsure.

'Roukou are you alright?' called Latias' voice, making me jump.

I looked around quickly.

"What's wrong?" asked Aria.

"Didn't you hear that?" I asked, quickly.

She quietly looked around from tree to tree but made a disapproved expression and shook her head.

'Telepathy, remember!' Hissed Latias.

'Sorry,' I thought to myself.

'Is she safe or should I stay hidden?' she asked, her voice in the tone of a hiss.

'She's fine,' I thought to myself. I didn't even know that she could read my mind so easily through telepathy.

'Why am I intruding on your thoughts too much?' she asked.

She came out from behind Aria, making Aria jump.

"We have to get going," I said standing up, but almost immediately fell.

"Need help," asked Aria, in unison with Latias in my head.

"Yeah," I answered both of them.

'Sorry, I couldn't get you anymore berries.' Said Latias, picking me up.

"It's alright," I accidently said.

"What," asked Aria.

"Nothing, I accidently spoke what was in my mind." I quickly said.

Latias helped me up and strapped my arm over her neck as Aria did the same with my left. Latias picked up my bag and carried it. Aria put her Panpour back with her other free hand and we moved on.

Time passed by as we made it to the next city. Which was a real relief, because I couldn't hold my stomach back from growling. Often did I try to walk forward on my own, but I fell down within the next few minutes.

We made it to the next city after a half hour at that pace.

The city was a darker black than the sky behind it. The moon had tagged in for the sun in the sky. The building lights were shaped like bright squares. Advertisements hung off of some buildings and brightened up the dark buildings around it slightly. A light smog and dust hung in the sky around it, making the city feel only darker.

We entered the city with burning eyes and heavy coughs. Somehow Aria was watching me and Latias with a frown. How was it possible that you could even breathe in this defile air? It was like breathing in a sandstorm. I handed my goggles to Latias, who was most likely the one being most afflicted with sight and breath the most pain.

The city was, furthermore, crowded, there were so many people that we could barely move forward, without being pushed into people. The walls of the alleyways were cramped with graffiti and the city was practically empty of Pokemon. Both people and the rare occasional pokemon were evil spirited here, both of them glaring at us like Absols. Then what would that make an Absol in this city?

"Let's go to the Pokecenter." I whined, to Aria.

"We should get to a restaurant first!" Challenged Aria.

"Don't tempt me…" I slowly said, my stomach growling. I lightly coughed and said afterwards," Pokemon need to get them treated first."

"Oh right both of your pokemon are probably tired out from yesterday. So are you, but let's go to the Pokecenter."

I nodded in silent agreement.

We made it through the streets together, keeping close to the soot walls. I really didn't like this city, it was the one, and first, place that I didn't want to come back to. I looked around and saw both people and pokemon coughing. A nerve cranked in my mind, I had the sudden impulse to simply start curing finding a medicine that could heal all of them.

I sighed and started to cough.

"Neither one of you look too well." Said Aria worried.

"How can you stand the air," I asked, hobbling along.

"Oh this, I got used to it." Said Aria, looking up at the sky and looking around.

I looked up with her, and commented," Not even the birds fly in this sky."

"True," she said, as if she just noticed. "We're here."

We walked through the grimy glass doors and entered the building together then I slipped out of their grasps and staggered to the all-too-same desk at the middle of the room. The room was empty, no one hung around in here but it seemed that once it was crowded not too recently as the smell of pokemon and people hung in the air.

"Excuse me," I wailed.

I looked around and noticed that the couches were slightly dirty and very worn out to the point where the basic red was turning into a shade of pink. The floor was unusually brown and gritty. The lights were dim, and made the room feel abandoned.

No one answered. At least I was able to breathe right, I noticed.

The door opened behind us and I turned around.

"Oh dear, a trainer." Cried the nurse that just entered.

"Haven't I seen you?" I asked.

"Oh you probably saw my twin sister Joy." Claimed the nurse.

"So you mean to tell me that your mother somehow ended up naming all three twins Joy?" I asked.

She nodded and asked threateningly," And you have a problem with this? Besides I have a giant family. Back to the task at hand, I'm sorry we're closed."

"Hold it what do you mean by, 'closed'," I asked scared with shock.

"We've been forced to shut down," she claimed.

What has this world come to!

"Ever since those stupid Team Wizards built that factory and poured smog into the air, business has spun out of control. It became out of hand for even me, the machines, and the Blisseys that assisted me. We would constantly run out of material or electricity for the machines, or sometimes, both." She shook her head, and said, "There's no way I can stick around here for a long time. I would need up to four other nurses and we would still have our hands full."

"Well can you at least help mine," I asked. "Please I beg you just these two."

She sighed and said," I would like to, but I'm moving out right not. We're moving right now."

I bit my bottom lip, drat it. This was not going well, my stomach growled. Darn it, this is not the time to be hungry.

"I must ask you to leave," begged the nurse and pushed all of us out.

"I screwed ourselves, silly," I said as the door closed. "That leaves it down to me."

Aria and Latias both stared at me like if I were going to do something so horrible that they would be in worse condition.

"I healed you," I muttered, staring blankly at the betrayer.

My stomach growled in pain.

"But first Dinner." I begged.

We made it to the Red Gyarados, a small restaurant located closer to the edge of the city. The restaurant was made of wood and held a small mini balcony for people to sit outside, but it was also caged by a see through plastic wall to keep dust from falling on the food or the tables. However that didn't mean the wall itself was clean.

The inside was very unique too. The tables were made of extraordinarily large barrels that were cleanly cut to allow customers to put their feet inside. The seats were very plain and normal, the cushions were dark violet. The room was wooden and had the feel of the inside of an old ship. The walls were littered with black and white pictures of the notorious Red Gyarados in Johto. Small candles hung from lanterns from the ceiling, giving the room a soft ominous feeling.

"I used to come here all the time," claimed Aria as we sat down. We were handed a menu by a waiter dressed in a white sailor's uniform. We decided on a sweet stew with buttered bread and potatoes with sour cream.

At the end of the meal, I felt like I came back to life.

"Now what," asked Aria.

"Now we go to a drug store and find some medicine," I said surely.

'Let's just hope they're not closed either,' Commented Latias in my head.

"You jinxed it," I whined to Latias.

We passed by three drug stores so far, but none of them were open.

"Oh crud," said Aria.

"I guess I'm going to have to hand craft some medicine," I claimed.

"How? And where are we going to get the ingredients from, people don't generally cook up medicine in a hotel room." Aria complained.

I shrugged and said, "In a town this crowded, herbal stores have to be somewhere."

From Aria's instructions we were at a small herbal store in minutes. The smell of spices and berries hung around the aura of the strange store. The store sign, above us, was covered in a soft synthetic purple fur that was shaped into a stage curtain with yellow ropes hanging from each side. The store's name was 'The Kampo Shop'.

"Perfect, and its open," I claimed after looking through glass doors into the store. "And it's not air conditioned, even better."

"Why?" she asked," It's still hot out here even in the night."

"That means the herbs are left in their natural habitat and the filth out here isn't entering the store." I said.

She nodded understanding what I meant.

We entered through the glass doors and found that the store was very dark. Wooden racks and shelves stood everywhere and lit the store with candles. Woven baskets were put on each rack all of them containing different ingredients.

"Welcome," said a man from the far side of the store. "What are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for revival herbs; some heal powder, some berries, and a couple energy roots." I called to the man.

I could hear a seat groaning lightly and some shuffling. Then from the side of one shelf, I saw an old man in a white beard. A Furret followed behind him, at an unusual slow pace.

"Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see a youngster interested in the herbal arts?" questioned the old man.

"I'm a doctor I must have an interest," I said, unsure of why he was so surprised.

"Sorry young one, it's just that too many youngsters depend on the nurses to help them, that almost no one ever learns the arts of herbal healing. Let me get the items you need for you."

He walked between the shelves and picked up the items we needed. Then suddenly from behind us the door opened again.

"Welcome!" croaked the Old man.

We turned around and found a young man with green hair that flowed down to his torso in a ponytail. He wore a black and white cap and a stylish white shirt over a white T-shirt with a black tie. A strange cube shaped object hung from his belt on a chain no bigger than a Rubik's cube. He wore tight brown pants with green shoes to match his hair. He was slightly older than me, maybe by a year, and was also slightly taller than me.

He smiled and said, "Hello, ."

"Oh it's you N," said Mr. Sander's happily.

Then his eyes fell upon me, and immediately ignored me. His eyes fell on Aria, but he quickly ignored her too. Then they fell on Latias and he frowned. Then slowly he turned his head to the two of us and looked back at Latias once again.

"I must ask you to refrain from glaring at us." I finally said, threateningly.

"Oh, sorry, just thought she just looked like something else," he said.

Were we caught, I wondered to myself. One does not simply say to a Latias, she looked like something else.

I kept my body tense, I was ready to fight this guy tooth and nail.

appeared from around another shelf and gave us a bag with everything in it.

"Here you go young man," said . "May I ask for your name?"

"Roukou," I bluntly blurted my eyes on the man named N."How much?"

"Keep it." said happily.

The old man nodded and asked Aria," Would you like anything miss?"

"No thank you," she said.

"What would you like N," asked .

I started to quickly retreat out the glass doors.

Latias and Aria followed me out and we started to run.

"That was weird," said Aria after we ran a safe distance from the store.

"Yeah," I said trying to catch a breath.

'What was with that person?' asked Latias through telepathy. 'I smelled the strong stench of Pokemon.'

'But that's not all. He had the stench of an old creature. Something powerful, sort of like that Pokemon that was chasing after me.'

That thought made my skin crawl. Something about him was just, creepy. To think a guy like that has a powerful creature under his control, it's a miracle that the world is still in contact.

'But the smell was really faint, I wonder what that means?' Echoed Latias' voice in my head.

I don't know I thought to myself.

"Let's discuss this at a hotel." I said out loud. "Aria can you lead us to one?"

"Of course I can." She said with a frown and walked off down the street.

We were able to find a hotel in a matter of minutes, thanks to Aria's guidance. The hotel was lit by bright neon signs and seemed to be a source of light in the dark city. The lobby was bright but dull and depressing. The ceiling was a shade of a sickly pale white, and the lobby reeked of the outside smog. Everything was really white, even the couches, except for the tan carpet.

The only music was the hum of dead silence and the tapping of keys from one of the staff members by a desk at the far end of the lobby. Two doors stood on the left wall with white door knobs, both of them most likely made of wood.

We slowly walked to the front desk, trying not to disturb the silence.

"Excuse me," I whispered, partially from having a sore throat.

"Yeah, you want a room?" Asked the man.

"Yes please, actually three rooms." I said.

He looked up from the computer and scanned the three of us with his eyes. Then he went back to his computer and typed something. He then opened a drawer and fished three keys from the sea of cold metal pieces with numbers indented into them.

"Have a good stay." He murmured and didn't dare look up from his computer again.

I looked at the numbers on the keys, they read 315, 316, 314. I passed a key to everyone and moved towards the doors. The door lead to a stack of stairs. We ascended to the third level and walked into another painfully white hall. Chandeliers with light bulbs hung from the ceiling, making the white even whiter.

"The hotel rooms are actually really good. I've been here, before." Said Aria, walking forward. She must've noticed the frown on my face.

Latias handed me back my goggles without another word and followed Aria.

"310, 311, 312, 313, 314," I muttered to myself. "315, here we are."

I pushed the key into the keyhole and entered the room.

"I suggest all of you get go to sleep," I said, I lightly yawned and covered my mouth. I rubbed at my eyes and muttered," Goodnight!"

"Wait if you're going to heal your pokemon, take my pokemon too." She said, handing me two pokeballs from her pocket.

"Sure," I said. "After all I have extra ingredients."

"Thanks," she said partially sighing.

I furrowed a tired brow at her and started to close the door. Then I remembered one thing.

"Do you mind, if you show Latias to her room?" I asked Aria.

"Why not?" said Aria. "Good night."

"Sleep tight," I said and closed the door. I walked into the suite and searched for the light switch in the darkness, till I felt a level and flicked it upwards. The lights flashed on and revealed a small suite. There were two beds, both of them with soft looking red blankets. Between the king sized beds were a small stand that had a small digital clock and a silver lamp. The ends of the bed faced towards a door on the right that was open. At the far end of the room were a pair of sliding glass doors that lead to a balcony.

I instinctively took out both of my pokeballs and released the pokemon out of them first. I aimed them onto a bed together as they both slept peacefully together. I looked at the other two pokeballs that Aria gave me. Two?

I looked at them and thought to myself, well she never said that she had only one Pokemon.

I opened a pokeball and aimed it towards the bed that Zorua and Eevee slept on. Aria's Panpour appeared on the bed and looked at me with a slightly furrowed eyebrow.

"You're staying with me for tonight," I whispered.

He looked around and looked at me not knowing what to do. I looked at the other Pokeball and wondered, what's in the other Pokeball.

"She couldn't have possibly given me a pokemon that's bad or something weird, right?" I muttered to myself.

I released the Pokemon out of the Pokeball and looked at the large Pokemon that appeared.

"Scraaaawwww!" shouted the silver Skarmory.

"Shhh!" I hushed at the Skarmory. "Good Skarmory, good skarmory!"

I looked at Zorua and Eevee who were somehow still fast asleep.

I lightly sighed and whispered," Don't worry you're staying with me for tonight."

"Scar!" it screeched.

It started to run towards me at full speed in a head-butt position.

"Ah!" I yelled and ran out the suite and slammed the door behind me. Before noticed the Pokeball was missing. The pokeball must've slipped out of my hand and onto the floor of the suite inside.

"Aria!" I knocked on both doors for Latias or Aria.

"What do you want," asked Aria partially yawning as she opened the door.

"Do something with your Skarmory." I begged, still yelling.

"Oh right, my skarmory," she said, as if she just remembering.

Aria courageously marched towards my door, as I hid behind her. I gave her the key and nearly jumped back as she opened it.

"Skarmory," she said, as if talking to an old friend, and walked into the room.

I watched from the back of the door frame.

I looked at the Skarmory and it glared back at me.

It glared at me and started to run towards me. Aria instinctively moved out of the large Skarmory's way.

I started to yell 'Aria' and ran towards one end of the hall. I could hear Skarmory's footsteps coming after me.

I ended up running down the hall to find that the hall was shaped like an oval and I ended up at the same hall that I ran from. Giving up I ran back into my old room and tried to close the door but the Skarmory was much closer than I thought. The Skarmory put its steel head between the door and the frame and pushed it open. I ran to the bed and staid as still as possible, holding my breath awhile bitting my lip. Aria stood in the same position stunned and confused as to what was going on.

Skarmory slowed down and sat beside me calmly. Aria stared at me still confused.

"Aria, help me…" I whispered.

"Oh right," she said. She took the pokeball from the floor and returned him to the ball.

I sighed, relieved that the Skarmory was put away.

"He's healthy." I muttered, standing up.

She nodded and left Skarmory's pokeball on the night stand with the lamp.

The rest of the night was calm, I made the medicine, or really energy drinks, out of the materials that was given to me and found that I ended up with much more left over after feeding them to Eevee, Zorua, and Panpour, who all of them gave me disgusted looks.

I took a quick shower and decided to just simply go to sleep, as the time read 10:00 P.M. I put on pajamas and put my regular clothes on the floor beside me. I dropped my bag on top of my clothes and made sure it stood.

I decided to retire for the night and fell onto the bed by the glass door. I closed my eyes and rested peacefully. Before I knew it I was sleeping with my goggles on.

The sound of something shattered awoke me from my sleep. I opened my eyes and saw the sun was slowly rising. In front of it a dark robed figure. The glass was all over me and the bed.

"Eev!" shouted Eevee.

"Panpour," screeched Panpour. A blast of water flew over my head and hit the dark figure pushing him back out the glass door and onto the balcony.

"Zor?" yawned Zorua sleepily.

"Young child you will come with me." Said the figure, his voice sounded not much older than a teenager.

"No," I shouted, and afterwards jumped off my bed. "Eevee, return!"

Eevee jumped off the other bed and pushed the man back, as he was trying to enter the room again.

"Pidgeotto quick attack!" shouted the man. The glass door beside him shattered and a bird shaped figure flew in.

But before it can hit Eevee, a dark figure appeared in front of the pidgeotto and rammed him aside and onto the ground.

"Sucker Punch?" I asked myself.

Now that I got a clear look at the dark figure it turned out to be Zorua, alert and ready to battle. I stuffed my clothes under my shoulder and picked up my bag with my finger, and grabbed the Skarmory Pokeball with my arm. I ran towards the exit on the other side of the room and opened the door, only to find a Wizard on each side of the hall blocking me off. Latias is in trouble too!

"Follow me!" I shouted to the Pokemon and banged on Latias' door. I heard the crashing of things on the other side. Once my Pokemon got out I slammed the door shut.

The wizards were now running towards me. Aria came out of her room and held the door knob. She was fully dressed but her hair was a mess.

"Wizards!" she shouted, then looked at me about to hit the door again. "You too?"

"Yeah!" I shouted and then looked at Eevee. "Eevee, knock the doorknob off with return!"

She rammed it hard with her head and knocked the door knob off.

"Aria, see if you can get the door to unlock!" I said, and jumped up to find the Wizards taking out their Pokemon.

"But this other guy!" reminded Aria.

"I'll keep the door closed, just get to work on the lock!" I said.

I dropped my clothes and bag onto the floor and released Skarmory and crammed the Pokeball into my pocket.

"Skaaarrrr!" Screeched Skarmory, as if he were getting ready to continue yesterday's chase.

"Not now!" I shouted and pointed towards the wizard in my room with my free hand. I switched places with Aria and grabbed the doorknob. I brace myself on the door and said," Aria command that Skarmory!"

The wizards on both ends of the hall had two growlithes.

"Skarmory after that man and his Pidgeotto!" shouted Aria pointing to the Wizard in my room.

"Eevee, Quick Attack!" I shouted.

Then I turned the other way, "Zorua… Whatever, beat up that other Growlithe!"

I looked up and saw Pidgeotto chase Skarmory getting chase in air. The door of someone's suite opened to my right, and a man walked out and looked at the mess in the hall. He rubbed his eyes with his hands and turned to walk inside.

"I'm going to beat that guy up." I swore to myself.

"Got it!" shouted Aria.

She pushed the door in as I said," Inside, everyone, now!"

Everybody got out of their battles and crammed themselves inside, including Skarmory. I let the door go, while grabbing my bag and clothes along with the Pokeball, and jumped into Latias' room as Aria slammed it closed.

I jumped up and leaned my back against the door as Aria turned around. I looked forward and we saw Latias, in her Pokemon form, fighting a large Druddigon.

The other Pokemon were running towards them to help Latias.

"Oh crud!" shouted the Wizard behind the Druddigon.

The room was a mess as I looked around. It was exactly the same as my room, except that it was messy.

The Wizard looked at the mass amount of Pokemon and said," Druddigon let's get out of here.

The Druddigon flew to the balcony and the wizard jumped onto his spine. Then they took off.

I sighed reliefed that we didn't have to fight that Druddigon.

The door behind me jolted forward but I braced it.

"Get something to hold this thing closed," I shouted.

Aria looked around and ran to the wooden stand that was like the one in my room. She swept the stuff off of it, then she yelled to Latias," Help me move the shelf!"

Latias turned to her human form. Then she picked up the stand and moved it in front of me. I slowly moved out of the way and kept the door shut.

Latias moved the stand right beneath the doorknob and I slowly let go. I let out a quick sigh and fell to the floor, relieved.

"How are we going to get out?" asked Aria, frantically.

It can't be too hard, I thought to myself.

"We could fly out of the city from the balcony." I said, looking out the window.

"One major problem, the smog is too big of a mess to even see through." Said Aria, looking out the window.

"I stand corrected." I muttered.

"We would need to have gas masks," Aria said.

The door banged, and made all of us jump.

"This won't hold them back for long, we better make make-shift gas masks." I claimed, starting to look around.

"Wait how are we going to get out, you don't have any flying Pokemon." Said Aria.

"Latias will you carry me," I asked, with a begging tone to my voice.

'We don't have that much of a choice,' Latias said through telepathy. She nodded to make Aria understand.

"Alright as for the masks," I said, I looked around the room. There was no way we could make one, all we could do is use a towel and cover our faces with it.

"Well then we better star using whatever clothes we have." Said Aria.

I put my back pack on my back, and used my shirt from the other day to use as my gas mask. That was when I noticed that I really needed to buy some more clothes… Now's not the time to think of this. I braced my own smell and shoved the clothes over my nose.

If I don't die from the smog then I'll die from my own smell. I returned my Pokemon, into the Pokeball. I handed Aria her Pokeballs and she returned Panpour to his Pokeball.

Latias reverted to her Pokemon form and allowed me to sit on her back.

I put my goggles over her eyes and put the back of the head band behind her horn like ears, or where they ear like horns? I couldn't tell and I really didn't have time to be asking these questions.

Aria tide a thick stylish scarf around Latias' face.

The door busted open and the Wizards fell into the room.

"Hurry, let's go!" I shouted.

Aria jumped onto the back of her Skarmory while holding a jacket to her face.

We flew towards the windows.

"They're not open!" I shouted just noticing.

"We're going to have to crash into them!" Aria said.

I burrowed my face into Latias' back and heard the window shatter overhead. I looked up and immediately my eyes started to water.

I closed my eyes and leaned forward.

I could hear the wind rush past my ears, and the warmth of the sun upon my back.

As we flew I knew this was not the best way to start a morning.

We eventually landed in a swampy plains, far form town. By then the sun was up, my watch read 9:00 A.M. White tall grass reached up to my face and made it itch. The ground was soft and muddy, and often we would end up in piles of mushy mud that felt more like clay.

Since the grass was so tall, I was able to get changed without being seen. Latias had given me back my goggles, and I had them once again around my neck. Bug type Pokemon surrounded us, along with the constant sighting of foongus and shroomish.

We made it to a city called Spring Burrow.

Sestuna Damius' Note: Have you heard the news for Latias' and Latios' evolution? I was doing summersaults after hearing that. I feel overly hyper now! I want to get to the end just this reason, and this also means that I will add the new Pokemon, but maybe later on in the story… I just noticed I'm still not sure what Pokemon to give Roukou. I still have four slots left, and I truly don't intend on having him trade his Pokemon or give them away, which makes the story harder. All I'm sure of is that I want a fighting-type, a grass-type, 'definitely' a water-type, and I would want a fire-type too, steel would be awesome to also include! I want a pokemon that could mega-evolve, but who would I choose. I would want them to be awesome Pokemon too, and maybe I want them from my Home region Hoenn, yes Pokemon Emerald was my first Pokemon game, don't judge me! I forgot to include dragon-type Pokemon 'has' to be in Roukou's team. I don't know, who would you suggest type it in the comments! If you possible guess one of the Pokemon that I'm thinking about, I'll pm the list of Pokemon I plan on choosing from!

Breloom Sleep and Sweep

Breloom has a hidden move that can only be learned when he makes it to level 40 or so as a Shroomish. It's a move called Spore. It causes your opponent to sleep fall asleep and CANNOT miss. The best way to pull this set off is to send him in on the first turn of the battle. Make the first Pokemon sent out by your opponent fall asleep, then use Swords Dance and now he's prepared to start sweeping. Give him mach punch so he can attack first. Then give him bullet seed to have him hit for a long time. His ability technician is useful here.

The other set is simply using him to stall. Like make him use substitute, then use Spore, then swords dance, then start sweeping, but I generally don't like this set as it's time costly and he only knows one move.
