Chapter 16 We Found Love

After Sectionals, Shelby had moved to New York thanks to a job offer, but she promised to return for the Finchel wedding in May. Rachel understood that it was an opportunity that Shelby couldn't refuse, as it was a major gig on Broadway. Meanwhile, The Schuester/Pillsbury Wedding was fast approaching. Emma had all of the New Directions girls meet her at the bridal shop for final fittings as Will did the same with the boys. The Christmas holidays went by fast, and now Valentine's Day was fast approaching. Unknown to Will and Emma, the New Directions were planning a huge surprise for their wedding. All of the members had asked the teachers and staff if they could enlist the rest of the student body to throw them a huge reception in the gym and the New Directions were going to be the musical entertainment.

Quinn walked down the hallway towards the choir room, pushing Beth in her stroller. Puck was walking alongside them, giving nods to his teammates as they walked by, his arm around Quinn. As Quinn entered the choir room, she gasped at the sight of it. The room was dimly lit, with candles strewed around the room. Rose petals were skewed throughout the room.

"Puck, what is this?" Quinn asked as she turned to face him. He had a big smile on his face.

"Did you forget it's our two and a half year anniversary?" Puck replied as he placed his guitar around him. He held up an envelope that had been sitting on the stool by the piano.

"This came from Yale," said Puck, handing her the envelope.

"Oh my god," murmured Quinn. "Should I open it?"

"Wait, before you do, there's something I want to do," said Puck. "You always think better when I'm singing or something, so I wanted to sing this, just to let you know that what ever happens, I'm with you, alright?'

"Okay," said Quinn, nodding her head. Puck turned back towards the door and nodded his head and the rest of the New Directions came into the room as Puck started to play and sing.

Puck walked over to Quinn, who was now sitting down in one of the chairs, the letter in her hand and Beth on her knee. The rest of the New Directions smiled as they watched Puck stand in front of his girlfriend.

"Quinn, no matter what happens, I know we will always be together, and before you open that letter, I want to ask you something." As Puck got down on one knee and procured a small box, Quinn's hand holding the letter dropped the letter into her lap, and flew to her mouth, a gasp emitting as Puck opened the box, revealing a gorgeous diamond-encrusted ring.

"Quinn, I love you. You're my soulmate and I want to spend the rest of my life with you," said Puck. "All you have to say is yes. Quinn Fabray, will you marry me?"

The rest of the New Directions waited with baited breath as they watched Quinn's reaction.

"Yes," replied Quinn. "Yes, I'll marry you."

"You will?" Puck asked in disbelief. "Really?"

"Yes," nodded Quinn as tears flowed down her face. The group cheered and clapped as Puck placed the ring on her finger and their lips gently met.

"Yaye!" clapped Beth and everyone laughed.

"Open the letter, Quinn!" said Noelle. "We all want to know if you got in!"

Quinn nodded and handed Beth to Puck and took the letter back into her hands, shakily. She opened the envelope carefully and pulled its contents out.

"Dear Ms. Fabray," started Quinn, "the admissions department at Yale was thrilled to receive your application for the Fall 2012 semester. Your essay about teen pregnancy and motherhood while completing your education was exquisite. We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to the Drama department for the Fall Semester. A welcome packet will follow."

The group cheered as Quinn read the last part fast and excitedly and Puck, after handing Beth to Finn, scooped her up into a hug.

"I knew you could do it!" said Puck, swinging her around. "I'm so proud of you, Babe."

"Puck, we're going to New Haven," sighed Quinn. "Oh Puck, we're finally getting out of this crazy town!"

"Yaye!" said Noelle. "And that means you get to come visit me in New York!"

"You mean us, Sis," said Finn. He held up an envelope.

"What is that?" Noelle asked Finn.

"I called that Dean Winters guy and applied," said Finn. "I got in!"

"Oh my god!" cried Rachel, hugging Finn.

"I sent him a tape of my drumming as well as my singing and he was so impressed he offered me a scholarship for the Music Education program," said Finn.

"I'm so proud of you," said Rachel, hugging him again.

"Hey, you should be getting your NYADA letter for callbacks soon," Finn said to Rachel and Kurt.

"Oh I hope you guys get called back," said Noelle.

"I'm not going to NYADA," said Rachel.

"What?!" screeched Noelle, Kurt and Finn.

"I never applied," Rachel said. "I just went to the mixer with Kurt to see what it was all about. I have a better shot at getting a part on Broadway without going to NYADA. Besides, NYU has a better program and you guys are going there, so I may as well too."

She pulled her letter out of her purse.

"I haven't opened it yet," Rachel said. "I didn't want to make a fuss."

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Kurt cried. "Open that sucker up!"

The New Directions chorused in agreement and Rachel took a deep breath and nodded, opening the envelope. She read the letter to herself over and over.

"I got in," Rachel said breathlessly. " I GOT IN!"

"YAYE!" cried the group. Finn engulfed her in a hug and swung her around.

"I love you so much!" said Finn. "We're going to New York!"

"YAYE!" cried Noelle, hugging her brother and future sister-in-law. "Come on everyone, we have a wedding to prepare for!"

Finn nervously tied his bowtie in front of the mirror in the Boy's Bathroom. It wasn't his wedding day, why was he so nervous? Oh, yeah, he was the Best Man. Taking one last look at himself in the mirror, he walked out of the bathroom and back down to the choir room, where Will was getting ready himself.

"Hey," said Finn as he came up to Will. "You ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be," said Will as he finished tying his bowtie.

"Great, I'll go let the girls know," said Finn as the other guys entered the choir room.

"Oh, have you seen mine and Emma's parents?" Will asked.

"Yeah, they're just finishing getting ready," said Finn. He nodded to Puck, who gave him the thumbs up, signaling that the gym was ready and the guests were all waiting. Will and Emma had no idea what was about to hit them.

"Come on Mr. Schue, we have a little surprise for you," said Puck as he and the other guys led him out of the choir room.

"Should I be scared?" Will asked with a hint of concern on his face.

"Nope, come on, check it out," said Mike, leading him into the gym. Will's eyes bugged out. The entire student body, teachers and staff of McKinley, along with all of the New Directions families and his and Emma's friends and family, were seated in chairs that had been set out in the gym, along with reception tables. The entire gym was decorated in red and white for the wedding.

"Oh my god," Will said as everyone clapped.

"Surprise!" said Puck. "It was all Finn and Rachel and Josh and Noelle's idea. They wanted you two to be around everyone you love and respect."

"Thanks guys, this really means a lot, to both of us," said Will. "Wow, Emma is going to freak out."

"Hopefully in a good way?" Finn asked as he entered the gym. "The girls are right behind, Miss Pillsbury has no idea what's about to happen."

"That's our cue," said Puck. The guys lined up at the stage that was setup in the gym. The minister was standing there, his Bible in his hand. The jazz band was setup on the stage and Finn nodded to them to play "Canon In D".

Quinn and Beth came in the doors first, and everyone awwed as Beth walked up the makeshift aisle, dumping flowers down the pathway after Quinn told her to walk up the aisle to Puck. Then the other girls came in one by one as Beth reached Puck, who scooped her up into his arms and handed her to Carole, who was sitting on Will's side of the room.

As the girls lined up near the stage, the band switched to an upbeat song and the New Directions started to sing and dance as Emma entered the room with her father. Emma's jaw dropped at the sight.

Rachel:

Everyone cheered and clapped as the song ended and Emma and her dad reached the stage.

"What is all this?" Emma asked Will after Emma's dad shook Will's hand and sat down.

"A little something that the kids put together," Will told her. "It was Rachel, Finn, Josh and Noelle's idea."

"We all helped," Rachel said. "We thought you two deserved to be surrounded by everyone that you love and respect."

"Hey, that's what I said!" Puck replied, earning a laugh from everyone. The minister chuckled and Emma and Will turned to him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, students, faculty, family, friends, honored guests, we are gathered here to join Will and Emma in holy matrimony," stated the minister. "We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, The joining of two hearts and to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best wishes to the words which shall unite this couple in marriage. If anyone has any just cause as to why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace."

No one spoke up and the minister smiled.

"Who gives this woman to this man?" asked the minister.

"Her mother and I do," said Mr. Pillsbury, standing briefly before sitting back down.

"Today we have come together to witness the joining of these two lives. For them, out of the routine of ordinary life, the extraordinary has happened. They met each other, fell in love and are finalizing it with their wedding. A good marriage must be created. It is never being too old to hold hands. It's remembering to say I love you every day and it is not just marrying the right person its being the right partner."

He turned to Emma.

"Do you, Emma, take Will, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," replied Emma.

"Will, do you take Emma, to be your lawfully wedding husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," replied Will with a smile.

"Do you have the rings?" the minister asked Finn. He nodded and placed the rings on the Bible, who in turn turned to Will and Emma, who took each other's rings.

"Traditionally, the passage to the status of husband and wife is marked by the exchange of rings. These rings are a symbol of the unbroken circle of love. Love freely given has no beginning and no end, no giver and no receiver for each is the giver and each is the receiver. May these rings always remind you of the vows you have taken. Will, please repeat after me. I, Will, take you Emma..."

"I, Will, take you Emma..."

"...to be my lawfully wedded wife. I will love and honor you, respect and cherish you all the days of my life," said the minister.

"I Emma, take you Will..."

"You have declared before all of us that you will live together in marriage. You have made special promises to each other, which have been symbolized by the joining of hands, taking of vows and the giving and receiving of two ring's. By the authority vested in me by the State of Ohio, I now pronounce you to be husband and wife. Will, you may kiss the bride."

Will lifted Emma's veil to the cheers and applause of the crowd and he kissed her passionately.

"WHOOOOO!" cried the New Directions.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. William Schuester."

The crowd clapped and cheered again as the New Directions surrounded Will and Emma in a group hug.

"And the night's not over yet!" said Noelle. "Let's party!"

"Yeah!" agreed Harmony. "We got lots of food and drinks!"

The group led Will and Emma to the bridal party table, stretched out along the wall. Everyone sat and ate a delicious dinner catered by Breadstix and after dinner, Finn got up to make his best man speech.

"So I'm not one for giving these speeches," started Finn as he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket. He opened it and started to read.

"Mr. Schue, you've been like a dad to me, and what you've gone through shouldn't have happened to anyone. You deserved so much better. And I know Miss Pillsbury will give that to you and you two will grow old and have lots of your own kids, on top of all us New Directions. We love you both." Finn raised his glass.

"To Will and Emma!"

"To Will and Emma!" everyone chorused. Rachel stood up next.

"Well, I guess I have to make a speech too," Rachel said. "I just want to say that I'm so grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Schue. They've been there when my fathers weren't, when I needed advice or help. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have applied to NYU and gotten in. Mr. Schue brought the New Directions together. We're one big family now and that won't change at all. Whether it's in five years, or ten years, or even sixty, we're all going to still get together and remember this place and all of the memories, good and bad. Emma is your soulmate, Mr. Schue. You guys know each other better than anyone else here. With that said, Noelle has a little something prepared for your first dance, as husband and wife."

Noelle grinned at Will and Emma and got up on stage, sitting in front of the piano. Will and Emma got up and made their way towards the dance floor as Noelle started to play, the band joining in.

As Noelle ended the song, the room burst into applause and Will and Emma hugged Noelle.

"Gracias Noelle," said Will.

"De Nada. Te amo," replied Noelle, hugging him again. She turned to the crowd and spoke.

"And now it's time for the bride and groom to cut their wedding cake!" said Noelle as a large wedding cake was rolled out.

"Courteous of Mom and Dad," said Noelle at Will and Emma's reaction to the cake.

"Wow," said Will. Everyone laughed and cheered as they cut the cake and fed each other a piece, smearing a dab of frosting on each other's nose. And then the boys minus Blaine and Kurt got up to perform a number.

Finn walked over to Rachel and started to serenade her. The boys followed suit. Mike serenaded Tina, Sam serenaded Mercedes, Puck serenaded Quinn, etc.

The crowd that was dancing applauded and cheered as Will and Emma kissed. Blaine and Kurt clapped and got up to perform an upbeat duet to Depeche Mode's "Just Can't Get Enough". The crowd was dancing and clapping along.

The crowd roared with applause, and Rachel spoke into the microphone.

"I need all the single ladies to the dance floor please! It's time to throw the bouquet!" said Rachel. There was a stampede to the floor as Emma got on the stage with her bouquet. Noelle noticed that Rachel sat in the back with Finn on his lap, making out.

"I guess Rachel doesn't want the bouquet," Noelle said to Quinn.

"She doesn't need it," Quinn teased. As Emma threw the bouquet, it sailed past the crowd and everyone turned to see it land in Rachel's lap. Everyone roared with laughter as the two broke apart and Rachel looked at the bouquet in her lap. Finn was in a daze, lipstick skewed on his lips, and Rachel blushed as the group cat-called and whistled.

"Get a room you two," teased Puck. Then it was time for the throwing of the garter. Will removed Emma's garter to cat-calls and whistles and the guys lined up. Puck and Sam pushed Finn to the front. It was no contest, with Finn being the tallest, and the guys setting him up. The garter landed right in Finn's hand.

Finn turned to Rachel, who was blushing even more, and the two got up to sing a duet.

Finn:

At some point, the wedding had seemed to be long gone and Rachel and Finn had appeared at the hotel room Finn had rented for them for the night. Rachel dragged him into the room.

Meanwhile, Kurt and Blaine, Josh and Noelle, and Puck and Quinn all seemed to have the same idea and walked down the same hallway to their rented rooms.

Kurt:

Finn and Rachel climbed into the bed, their clothes stripped and the two began to make love.

"God I love you so much," Finn said as he trailed kisses down Rachel's neck.

"I love you too. Oh god Finn, yes...oh god, yes!" Rachel screamed. As Finn came into her, pouring his seed into her womb, the two relaxed and laid back onto the bed. Finn smoothed her hair back and pressed a kiss to her neck.

"Finn, let's get married after Regionals," Rachel said.

"Really?" Finn asked.

"Yeah, I want to be Mrs. Hudson as soon as possible," Rachel said.

"Okay," Finn said, kissing her again. "Ready for round two?"

"God yes," said Rachel, pulling him back down.
