Chapter 16:

(Setsuna's note: *Facepalm* I'm so sorry, that town I named #1 or something stupid, with the miltank farm and the hotel, at the base of the mountain. The quiet town a few chapters ago. Umm… Well… #1 meant that that had to be changed, I'm sorry for the stupid mistake. When I wrote that I had no idea what to name the town and well I went ahead and put if off. Then I completely forgot to rename it and well. Yeah, I'm an idiot. For the time being let's call #1 um… Miltank flats? I suck at making names.)

They took me to the docks where the two had a couple Pokemon. One of them was an Aerodactyl, the other was a Dragonite.

The two of them waited there, sitting around doing nothing, being bored.

"Alright climb onto Delta with me." Said Cell, giving a glare to the other guy.

"Delta," I asked confused.

"Sorry, I named Dragonite Delta." Said Cell.

I can see everyone's aura, I can tell Cell didn't get along with the other guy. The Dragonite arched his tail and lowered his back for the two of us.

"I want a name too, now that you mention it." Muttered Eevee into my ear.

"Hmm… You should choose one for yourself." I said.

"I'd rather have you choose a name." she said.

I shrugged and said," I'll think of one I guess."

"So it's true, they said you can talk to Pokemon," said Cell climbing on the Dragonite's back.

I nodded and pet Eevee's head lightly, I then said, "It's more of a curse."

"Why would you say that?" he asked.

"A good trainer need not to know the words of other Pokemon," I said. "I read that from a few textbooks, but who said that exactly, I'm not sure."

"But it's still pretty cool." He said.

I guess if people weren't chasing you and trying to use you as a global weapon, I can see that. His aura didn't change at all though. I half expected him to be envious, or jealous, but he wasn't. No he was a little, but it wasn't to the extent of being negative about it. Interesting.

The other guy's aerodactyl was already airborne. Cell had climbed to the dragonite's neck.

I climbed up to the Dragonite's back and his wings flapped hard once giving him to float in the air. Then he gently waved his wings rising up. I had never been in a plane, and I had never flew before. I grabbed onto Dragonite's skin. Soft enough for him to just feel it, but hard enough for me to stay on no matter what.

"What's in the bag," asked Cell, turning his head towards me.

"Some clothing," I said simply. The dragonite flew forward.

A dragonite was much faster than a boat. But it still took a while. I wasn't even able to hear Eevee over the sound of wind whipping past my ears. I was tempted to put on my hood, but I didn't want to squish Eevee onto my head, though it may have been funny.

We landed at the end of a circular wooden pier. I didn't recognize it.

"Where are we?" I asked. I looked around, but all I saw was a large city built high before us. The last time we left the island we were in a different city.

"We're in Miltank Flats." Said Cell.

"They had a Dock?" I asked.

"Yeah, have you been here before?"

"Not in this part of town."

Then before we could continue the conversation the man that was with Cell said," We haven't got much time. C'mon! Time is money!"

Cell sighed and shrugged, saying," Yeah don't worry about Damian. He's always like that. C'mon let's walk and talk."

He ran down the pier to catch up to Damian. I chased right after him.

"The ranger base is very close, for very tactical reasons. It helps scare off smugglers, thieves, and other bad stuff. Of course the town is peaceful and kind of empty, so if a group of wizards came in, we'd be notified pretty quickly. The ranger base is not the biggest but it houses up to a hundred members!" Cell sighed dreamily, as if the place were some magnificent kingdom of gold.

"Huh, nerd," said Damian from up front.

Cell shrugged it off and said," It's my dream to be a ranger! To protect the world from devastation…"

"Umm what's wrong." I asked.

"I don't have a partner to do the motto with." He said glumly. "Damian want-"

"No!" he shouted without hesitation.

"Okay," he said in a gloomy tone.

No wonder why his aura is good. He's enthusiastic about being a force of justice, unlike Damian who just wants the money. Cell probably couldn't care less if his paycheck was cut by half!

"We're about five minutes away from the headquarters." Said Cell.

"Geez at this rate you might be promoted to a tour guide." Said Damian.

"At this rate, maybe I should tell boss you were about to beat Roukou over here." Said Cell, putting his arm around me. "Right Roukou?"

"Please get your arm off of me." I said coldly.

"Uhh… sorry." He said letting me go.

"Though I may trust you, I still don't like people." I said to him.

"You don't like people? What does that mean?" he asked.

"Just stay out of my space." I said.

"Whatever you say." He said, without care. "Sheesh seems like everyone's on edge today."

"Your just overly excited and goofy." Said Damian. He had a point, he was a little too talkative.

"What! I am?" he said looking at me.

"Yeah a little," I said.

He rolled his eyes and he kept his mouth shut. I looked around. This portion of the was pretty much the same. Lots and lots of open space, and a few houses were sitting around.

As Cell said, we arrived in five minutes. The HQ was small. It was a one story building that was very wide like a super market. It seemed like all the walls were made out of glass. It seemed to be empty though. The top area of the building was made from orange colored bricks, and a neon sign above the door read probably Ranger Agency.

"Hey, I have a final question, and I'll shut it." Said Cell seriously.

I turned my head to him.

"What do you mean, by, you trust me?" he asked.

"I have my reasons." I said, and turned my head forward, to give him the sign that I was done talking. I didn't know what was worth saying and what wasn't. It was best to hear to what was going on first in this company. IF I kept on blabbering I might end up making Latias some weapon that everyone fought over.

The glass doors slid open before us. A cool wave of cold air hit us, reminding me of the snow from earlier today. Speaking of which, I patted my hood, it seemed Eevee was asleep.

I stepped in and looked around, the white colored hall before us had many foldable chairs on either side. At the far end of the short hall was a desk with no one attending it. A large picture was behind the desk and chair.

"We're here." Said Cell.

Damian and I stared at him.

"Okay, sorry." He said, folding his arms. "Damian, do we cuff and blindfold him before bringing him in?"

"He's probably okay to take in normally." Said Damian. "After all the runt is like a pedestrian."

I acted like I didn't hear the insult and Damian walked ahead, toward the desk. He walked behind it and sat down on the desk. Then he fumbled around for a second and stood back up.

"You better keep whatever you see in here a secret." Said Cell seriously.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"You'll see." He said.

"C'mon we don't have a lot of time." Said Damian. He walked to the right of the desk.

The two of us followed him down the hall to a very normal elevator.

I was lead inside the normal looking elevator. The whole room was metallic and reflected us. There were three buttons to the right, and one of them seemed covered. Like one of those out of service forever, buttons. Thinking this, Damian pressed it. The elevator door slammed shut.

"What have you done!" shouted Cell. His aura suddenly changed to something mischievous.

"Oops," he said coldly. Damian's aura had changed a little too.

I looked at the two of the them. "So now what?"

"We're all going to die." He shouted hysterically.

"Huh…" I said, calmly. I had already wished death upon myself, dying now wasn't exactly going to be sad. Well the only thing that I would regret was that Eevee wasn't saved. Besides something is fishy.

"Well, I'm sorry you guys." Said Damian, putting a hand on each of our shoulders.

"Well then for the last time the motto?" asked Cell.

"No!" said Damian," You think I want that as my dying words?!"

"Get your hand off of me, I'm more concerned about that." I said.

"Sorry Roukou, I got you killed." Said Cell.

"Right, anything else?" I asked.

"Umm… Aren't you like hysterical, scared, surprised. Not even a little horrified?" he asked.

"I'm trembling in my boots." I said without humor.

"You saw right through us, huh." Said Cell.

"What gave it away?" asked Damian.

"You guys rehearsed it." I said, turning the other cheek.

"He's good." Said Cell.

"Whatever." Said Damian.

"In return will you answer one of my questions?" I asked.

The elevator door slid open, revealing a large room. Everyone seemed to be running around in a complete panic. Damian and Cell stepped out together and lead me out. We walked directly through the center of the room. The carpeted floor had an orange path. Around us were desks and computers. Large white support columns stood around the room.

"Damian!" shouted someone from the right. It was a girl's voice. "You're back, Damian I need you too… Who's that?"

"That's the subject, Number 6." Said Damian coldly.

"Subject, number 6?" I asked, I hadn't been told this.

"If you haven't heard about it, Cell will tell you later." Said Damian. "In the meantime, what's my next mission?"

She walked over to me and walked around me, checking for any features.

"Huh, scrawny guy huh?" said the girl quickly.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I take care of who gets the missions," said the girl. "Umm… Sorry, my name is Ellena."

"I am." I started to say.

"Yeah I know subject 6." She said. "Anyway, I have no time to be dealing with you. Sorry. Damian, your next mission is in Sinnoh Hearthome, get to it. The rangers already there will tell you what's going on."

She ran off without another word and was immediately lost in the crowd.

"Stupid Wizards." Said Damian, running off towards the elevator.

"What's going on?" I asked Cell.

"The Wizards, there all over the place causing trouble. Breaking prisons, and causing old baddies to come out. The galactics, some of the Magmas and Aquas. It's a mess." Said Cell, his aura was suddenly scared. "At this rate, the world may be doomed. C'mon let's get to commander before I get re-assigned."

He ran down the path and I followed him. At the end of the path was a double door that lead to a room with an attendant behind a desk. There were two piles of paper higher than his head. His fingers flew over the keys like a sewing machine.

"Cell, welcome." muttered the man without looking up, he almost seemed hypnotized. That's when I noticed that behind was large stack of paper there was a cup of coffee that he picked up and sipped.

"Got Roukou, I need access to the commander." Said Cell.

"Go ahead." He said," All yours, he's in a bad mood though."

That's when there was an angry shout that roared," OUT! OUT GO GET HIM!"

A man ran out the door and nearly collided into me. At the last second he turn and flew out the doors we entered from.

Cell suddenly looked frightened.

"C'mon the faster we get yelled at the faster we get it over with." Said Cell. We walked through the doors."

Immediately we were blasted with an angry," WHO'S THERE?"

A man in a green suit and a bald head stood at the center of the room. He looked old. I couldn't give specifics though. I looked around there were multiple people on computers typing endlessly. The man in the center of the room was surrounded by other rangers. A giant monitor covered one wall, but it was currently turned off.

"Sir, I got Roukou," said Cell saluting.

"Who?" he asked.

"Subject 6," said Cell dully.

"Oh yes! Yes yes yes!" said the man jumping up and down, I couldn't tell if he was throwing a tantrum, or he was happy.

"Yes sir!" said Cell instinctively, half in shock.

He ran over to Cell and hugged him, that was when I realized how big he was. He was comparable to the height of a bear. "GET PROMOTED!"

"Yes sir!" said Cell.

The chief's aura was a good one, like Cell's.

"Subject 6, Roukou," he said as if that was his own name. He let out a hand and I shook it. Then he shouted, "Men! take over, I need a second to speak to this young man!" Then back to me he said," C'mon I'll lead you to a place where we can talk in peace. Cell you're assigned to him."

"Yes sir, wait what?" he said excitedly.

"I want you to help Roukou," said the commander. He took my hand as if I was a child and walked out the room. Cell followed us closely.

He went out the room and followed the path. Then he suddenly turned left and walked over to a wall, where there was another elevator. He opened it and pulled me in, Cell ran in before the door closed.

He clicked on a button, to the lowest level.

"Alright, alright this is good. With him we can turn the tide of the war." Muttered the chief to himself. I guess he's the chief.

"Sir, his rights," said Cell bravely.

"Oh right right sorry," said the man. He knelt down as if he were talking to a little kid. "Sorry about that. Will you work with us to save the world?"

"Yeah, I guess." I said, well it's not like I could say no. That big guy would probably grab me and throw me through the roof, had I said no.

"Alright good good good!" he said excitedly. He patted my shoulder.

The elevator stopped and he pulled me down the white hall. He turned and opened a door to the left.

"Here we can talk privately. "said the chief, holding the door open.

I walked in and Cell walked in with me. The room was bright white, with multiple monitor's on one wall. A bed was in another corner. I wonder what it's used for? There were a few couches set up around the room.

"Alright, sit down!" he said, "Down to business." I sat down in a nearby couch. Cell sat on a couch on the other side of the room, by the monitors. The chief sat in the couch to my left.

"Ask any questions," he said to me.

"Any?" I repeated.

"Yes, I'm not sure where to begin, so if you ask a question, I kinda know where to start." He said.

"Why am I known as subject 6?" I asked. I had many others, but this was a start,

"Alright, you are the Wizard's main and successful weapon." Said the Chief. "You are the key that was supposed to destroy the police force and government. You're the 6th subject. You were the first to succeed and final to succeed."

Saying this, I felt like this was something I already knew.

"There are 7 others like you, but they all ended up as failures. They can read the aura, but yours was magnificently beyond expectations. Or so says Handsome. Allow me to explain, everyone has some aura, but the whole concept of the aura strength in one person. You are equal to the 7 of them combined. That's how strong you were."

I gulped, what am I? "I guess that means this is the end of the road for me then."

"What no!" said Cell.

"As I said, you're the key, if we killed you off, we'd doom ourselves. Noticed that I said was. You were that strong when you were a baby. Now you're much stronger. Probably twice as much as all of them combined."

"Why can't I access it?" I asked.

"We need to run tests to answer that." He said. "That's all we know. We need you to tell us your story though."

I looked around, what was I supposed to say and exclude? And there was another question.

"How did you guys find me?" I asked.

"A certain girl, told us. Someone named Aria." Said Cell. I stared at him. "She told me to tell you privately, she couldn't live down the guilt. She says she's sorry."

I almost wanted to sit down and cry, so she wasn't complete trash afterall.

"Wait, do you know what happened to Latias!" I shouted, dropping my guard.

"A latias?" the two of them said.

I went on and explained everything, even how the Wizards planned on using me.

"Wow, so we really did make the right choice." Said the chief.

"A latias." Said Cell.

"A latias." I repeated.

"A latias." Repeated the chief.

"A latias," I confirmed.

"And they have a legendary god, a tao god, that sounds like Kyurem." Said the chief.

"And let's not forget the army, on top of that." Said Cell.

"Then that really brings it down to you," said the chief. "You are our only hope."

"I guess that makes goodbye," said Cell, getting up.

"Hold it!" said the chief.

"We're short on men. We need you." Said the Chief.

Cell smiled and sat back down.

"We truly have no men to spare." Said the chief. "And we can't leave you here. You see what's happening around us. Everyone's working till they drop, literally. If the Wizards attack now, it's a metagame sweep."

"And they'll have you," mentioned Cell.

"Making you going from Base to base is bade too." Said the chief.

Then suddenly the door opened.

" ." said the chief.

"Hello chief." Said Giovanni. His aura was outrageously bad.

"Sit down, we were just talking," said the chief.

He sat down beside me and smiled evilly. "Roukou, subject 6."

"You're aura is horrible." I announced.

He frowned at me and said," Yes it should be."

"The man used to be the owner of Team Rocket." Said the man.

I immediately stood up and glared at him. The filth, something worse that trash.

He smiled softly and said," Funny, I used to be the bad guy, now I'm supporting the good guys."

"Yes, he tells us that he's making another Mewtwo and he's helping us, giving us intel wherever he can." Said the Chief.

"But you still don't trust me." He said.

"Just a little," said the chief.

"Anyway continue." Said the man.

"Please leave." Said the Chief.

"Fine, it can't be helped." Said Giovanni and walked out. The door was shut softly.

"Anyway, you're going to need more protection than just Cell." Said the chief. "But I have no one to spare. So you will be going to defeat all the gyms and beat the elite four so you'll have decently strong Pokemon. Handsome said your eyesight was terrible. So we'll have you become blind."

"Hold it!" I said out loud.

"Don't worry, we'll train you."

"No I mean I'm not blind." I said.

"You're going to be wearing black glasses, and if in danger you can switch to eyesight right?" he said. "This is just for the sake of disguising you."

Then suddenly someone knocked on the door.

"Chief, let me in." Said a familiar voice.

The chief walked over to the door and let in a lady that we previously met before.

"What are you doing here?" asked Maia. "Roukou."

"Umm… It's a pretty long story." I said, Maia finally someone I could depend on. I lowered my guard, for her. She didn't seem calm though.

"You seem tense is something the matter?" she asked me.

"So do you," I said.

"So you took the full heals like I told you to then?" she asked.

I nodded and she said," Well then how does it feel."

"Pretty cool." I admitted.

"Did you stop by here to say hello," asked the Chief.

"Oh right sorry. Umm… You're going to hate to hear this, but I lost my position as gym leader…" she said, her aura dropped to a sadness with a bit of red, standing for anger.

"To who!?" he said shocked.

"Someone from the Wizards." Said Maia, grabbing her arm nervously with her other hand.

"Darn it!" shouted the chief slamming his fists into the armrest of my chair, making me jump.

"What's the name of the person?" I asked.

"Ichigo." She said.

"One," muttered Cell.

All heads turned to Cell.

"I just realized, in a foreign language, ichigo and roukou, are common names. Ichigo, stands for one. Roukou, is six." Explained Cell.

"So that means," said Chief.

"So then the next person's name is Jirou." Said Cell.

"Gyro?" asked Chief.

"No jirou." Corrected Cell.

"You mean like the move gyro ball?" asked Maia.

"No in Japanese, it means second son," explained Cell.

"So another words, my name is literally…" I started to say.

"Yeah number 6." Said Cell.

"Can I possibly change that?" I asked.

"I guess," stated the chief. "Well it would be too much of a hassle to change it on your birth certificate and stuff, but amongst friends you can change your name, so what would you like us to call you?"

All eyes were on me.

"Umm… Actually do you guys have any suggestions?" I asked.

"Xavier," suggested Chief.

"That's your name." said Maia.

"Alright Xavier junior." Said Chief with a broad smile, that showed his teeth.

"Sorry, but no thanks," I said.

"Butchy," suggested Maia.

"Er… no thanks." I said.

"Spear," Eevee randomly blurted.

"That's not even a name," I said, turning my head.

"You humans have the name lance, so spear," said Eevee.

"She has a point," I said to myself.

"Xavior," said Chief.

"That's too close." I said.

"Picky." Said the chief.

"Hayato," suggested Cell. "It's even Japanese."

"What does that mean?" asked Maia.

"Falcon," Cell started to say.

"Punch?" asked Chief.

We all glared at him.

"Okay, fine, sheesh you guys are boring." Said Chief.

"Anyway falcon person," said Cell.

"That's not any better." I said.

"Sounds better in Japanese." Explained Cell. "What about Kanon?"

We all glared at him this time.

"Sorry, that's once more a normal name in the language." Said Cell. "Ooh here's one, Roukurou."

"Sounds the same."

"Sorry I just realized." Said Cell.

"Tsunayoshi," blurted Cell in desperation.

We glared at him, and then I said," How about just Yoshi?"

"That means good luck." Said Cell. "Now that you mention it, that's kinda nice."

"Hmm… Then I guess it will be true my name will be Yoshi from here on out!" I said.

[Setsuna Damius note: So you're probably asking, why did everyone stare at Cell after he said Tsunayoshi. To explain, there's a show called Home tutor, hitman, Reborn, in that show, there's a bad guy/ good guy named Roukurou Mukurou. {Exactly what Cell said} and then the next name Tsunayoshi is the Main character's name in that show. I don't think that joke played out well though… Oh well. Kanon sounds like canon lol. I was going to mention smosh, but I think if I quoted them this would go up a maturity level lmfao.] Well anyway Roukou has stolen my name… Wait I think it was better if I kept quiet about my own name… Hmm… Well, it's not like people can search for a Yoshi or something and come up with me. Anyway who cares!?
