Chapter 17: Beginning Blind.

And so my name became Yoshi. That night I was asked to stay at HQ and my 'blind' training was to begin the following day. The chief explained that he will have a trainer come in that day to teach me. Though he did say that it was better if I left as soon as possible, he said I could stay for a while, up to a couple weeks in specific. And I was allowed to use my eyesight afterwards, but as rarely as possible. I was honestly lost and confused. Too much happened for me in one day. I mean I went from telling myself to not trust anyone to being forced to trust people, well thanks to my aura viewing.

The room I stayed at was at the very bottom of the secret layer, a haven for people who were on the run from criminals. The room was made of hard white walls that seemed to make our voices echo. The light in the room was very bright, and made the white room even brighter. Everything was white. Even the cheap bed and the pillow, and also the blankets. There was a white shelf that was screwed to a wall. And a white flower in a white vase. Even the two doors in this room were white. One door lead to the bathroom and the other lead outside. The tiles on the floor were white. The room was so white that even if I turned off the lights, everything was still a dingy white. The chief provided me with white, enough already, beds for the rest of my pokemon. And also a white lamp. The only things that weren't white was the air conditioner cent and dinner.

"So are you going to be okay, being 'blind'," asked Eevee. I had gotten so fed up with the white that I had turned off the light and left the lamp on, besides the shelf. Around the room my Pokemon had set up their beds and were resting. I laid down in my bed, my mind was too busy to sleep. On the floor beside my bed the lamp was lit.

"And besides how does one simply decide, I'm going to become blind," said Zorua sarcastically.

"Sir, I object against it." Said Scyther.

"Well if anything happens I'll just take off the dark glasses right?" I asked. "And even better, perhaps I will have you guys lead."

"Hmm… Well I guess anything goes at this point." Said Eevee.

I shrugged and asked Eevee," What happened to Latias exactly? I never got to ask." As soon as I mentioned Latias I wanted to put my face into a pillow. I didn't know why I just felt it. Why do I fell this way for Latias?

"Oh Latias." Said eevee, sadly.

"Hey we tried our best." I said, wishing we could do more. "But help me out here, what happened to her?"

"Well I got the chance to warn her." Said Eevee. "But pretty much as soon as I got there I was KO'd and well I don't remember much except getting beaten."

"Hmm…" I said. I put my hand against my heart, I had never read about something like this. I wonder if it's a certain condition.

"What's up?" asked Eevee.

"Nothing," I said. "Well let's get some rest. Good night!"

Before anything else was said, I turned off the light and covered myself in a blanket. Sleep, sleep, sleep, I thought to myself, pushing out any thoughts and images in my head. Sleep, I envisioned the word, against a black background and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes reflexively. But I was somewhere else, on a grass field. There was a clear night sky with a white full moon.

"Where am I?" I asked myself.

"Good morning," said a voice beside me.

I sat up, the voice was familiar. "Latias?" I said confused. She sat in her human form beside me.

"Yeah, you've been asleep." She said, irritated. "You said you liked looking at the moon and came out here all by yourself, then I came after you. And then you went to sleep! How rude!"

"Yeah I guess that's rude," I said dejectedly creating a strange pause.

"Was I too harsh?" She asked with a sarcastic smile.

"What no!" I said. Why are my thoughts not collecting? It seemed like my thoughts were impossible to manage. No matter how much I thought, my thoughts would suddenly end like a broken dvd. I sighed and looked up at the sky.

Then she suddenly hugged me. Surprised I opened my eyes once more, somehow.

"Good morning! I was just about to wake you up." Said Eevee. She was sitting beside me, I could tell due to the uneven surface of the bed.

My heart was racing.

I shook my head and said," Yeah good morning." I started to pet her head nervously.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing!" I said.

"You sure are acting weird!" she commented.

"I'll tell you later." I said, remembering that the rest of my Pokemon were in the room. "What time is it?"

"No clue, c'mon let's go upstairs." Said Eevee.

"Hmm, everyone else is asleep." I said. "Why are you awake?"

"Just a little nightmare." She said. "But it's not a big deal."

I scratched my head lightly, looking for something to do. "What was your nightmare about?"

"I-I'll tell you later." She said, nervously.

Eevee's never nervous I wonder what happened in her dream?

"Well, umm… go back to sleep? I guess?" I said.

"Hmm… We're both wide awake." Said Eevee.

"Yeah," I agreed.

"How about a walk?" asked Eevee.

"We'd get in trouble." I said.

"Around the HQ?" she asked.

"Maybe." I said.

Then we became silent in the darkness. Maybe I should ask her.

"H-hey." We both said together at the same time.

"You first," I said, instantly.

"No, you can go first." Said Eevee.

We sat in the darkness. I may as well say it.

"Eevee, have you ever felt nervous when thinking about someone?" I asked.

"Nervous?" she asked.

"Someone you can't get out of your mind, and when you start thinking about the person, you start to get nervous." I explained.

Then Eevee chuckled.

"What, what's so funny?" I asked.

"You like someone!" said Eevee.

"Like, so this is what it means to like… Hold on, I don't like anyone!" I said. It honestly wasn't like that.

"Yeah, it is." Said Eevee. "I didn't think you'd find one so quickly. Who's the girl?"

I retreated to the bottom of my blankets.

Eevee chuckled quietly as I thought about it. Liking someone, huh? Yeah, no. I mean I never thought about it, and I won't think about it now! Latias is just a friend! My heart was beating against the cage of my chest as though I was telling a lie.

I laid under the covers till the heat became too intense and I was forced above the blankets.

I don't like anyone. I think of everyone as a friend that's all!

I laid on my blankets fighting my thoughts when suddenly the door was knocked on.

"Yes?" I called from my bed.

"Are you awake?" called Cell.

"Yeah, good morning!" I said.

"Morning! It's time you get to your training! Come to the courtyard on the backside of HQ." said Cell.

"Alright, I'll be right out!" I said. "Rise and shine everyone!"

"You already woke me up," complained Zorua.

"Sir, you're a few seconds late." Said Scyther.

"Seriously," said Eevee.

"Alright alright," I said flicking on the lamp by my bed.

The light blinded me and made everyone moan.

"Do we have to get up." Complained Zorua.

"I'm ready to go." Said Scyther.

"This isn't over," said Eevee. "I'm going to learn who you like."

"If I like someone I you'll be the first to know," I said.

"Sir I didn't know you had that special someone," said Scyther.

"A couple weeks on the outside world, and you already fell for someone?" asked Zorua.

"What no! It's not like that." I said, my heart beating hard again.

"I put my money on Aria." Said Zorua.

"You don't even have money." Said Eevee.

"You get the point." Said Zorua.

We all started to laugh. I got up and got dressed in my new clothes. A green hoodie, a pair of jeans, and a pair of camo army boots. I got up and put everyone back in there pokeballs, including Zorua. I walked through the hall and went up the elevator. I exited the building from where I entered.

I was walking along the side of the building when I heard a voice.

"Hey Roukou!" shouted the voice.

I turned around startled. There stood an overly familiar teenager.

"N!" I said.

He bowed softly and said," It's been a while. Where have you been?"

"I've been busy. Anyway my name is not Roukou anymore, it's now Yoshi." I said softly.

"Something seems different about you, Yoshi" He said, confirming that he heard my last sentence. "Contacts and make up?"

"Oh no, I came in contact with some poison, destroyed my sight." I said. "I recognized you by your voice."

"Oh, that's terrible, who did that to you?" asked N. Looking into my eyes.

"The Wizards," I hissed.

"Why?" he asked.

"Well I have my reasons." I said, not wanting to get him involved.

"Everyone has their situations." Said N. "Care for a battle?"

"I have to get going." I said pointing behind me. "I can't keep people waiting."

"Oh alright! Say nice hoodie, it's really cool, with the side straps." He said pointing at his body.

"Thanks. Well I can't keep people waiting, I better go." I said pointing behind me.

"Oh alright, may we meet again." Said N, turning around and leaving.

I turned around and wondered why I keep meeting him.

Like Cell said there was a large courtyard behind the building. It was large enough to fit a track field in it. Around the area were multiple training areas. But there weren't enough people to fill it, it seemed. The area was enclosed by a green fence, that was taller than me.

"Over here!" shouted Cell's voice.

I walked through the entrance and saw that there were 5 people. Cell, the chief, two random people, and my eyes twitched, Giovanni.

"Good morning!" said the chief. He pointed to the two people to his left. "These two here on my right will be your trainers."

"Sup," said one of the teachers.

"Hello," said the other one with a bow.

"They say you'll be good to go, in no time," said the Chief. "Now then, I have to get going, my job's depending on me." With that said he ran off.

"Well I've got nothing to help you with here, and my job needs me." Said Giovanni, he left without another word.

Cell shrugged and said," I don't know how I can help you here. But I guess I'll stick around and watch you."

The first teacher, that said sup, came up to me. He held out something in his hands, they were very dark colored.

"What's this?" I asked.

"A pair of black goggles." He said. "They will pretty much make you blind."

I took them from his hands. I didn't want to put them on, especially since they reminded me of my mother's goggles. I didn't exactly know what to expect either. I looked at Cell.

"I've got your back." Said Cell. "Trust me!"

I looked at the goggles and put them on.

"Alright then!" said the other teacher. "We'll begin by explaining to you what we are going to teach you…"

{Setsuna Damius Note: Okay so this is the end of this chapter, kind of short though. Well since I'm sure some people would like to know what happens after this. I couldn't release this on its own. So the next chapter is pretty much a continuation of this chapter.}

{So… It's summer, and I want to get a little feedback from you guys. So I decided why not play Minecraft with people? So here's the deal! One of you guys can PM me a message with a server number in it, and I'll join it! (The only restriction is that I cannot and will not play on grief servers. Seriously unless you want me to get ANGRY, then don't do it. Let's play co-op okay? :D)}
