Chapter 15: The cure.
" ," I called out. It looked like he had been in the generator room, just standing there. Looking at the great tesla coil in the center of the room. He sat there, his aura was still just like him.
"Yes?" said the gym leader. He turned slowly, facing me,his hands still behind his back.
"How are you?" I asked, trying to be friendly.
"I'm fine. Thank you. How are you feeling," he asked. His voice was a little monotonous, I suppose he wants me to get to the point.
"I'm fine thanks." I said with a small smile. "I have an offer to make, one that's interesting."
"What's the offer?" he asked, keeping his seriousness.
"What if I told you, there maybe a way to kick the Wizard's out of this town. Or at least remove their headquarters."
"I'm listening." he said.
I explained the plan to him with as much detail as possible.
"This just might work. I don't like these Wizards, at all. They've been taking quite the toll on the clean power generators, but these guys decided to just cause pollution all day and all night. Yuck!" he complained. He paused for another second and said, "I'm in. But we have to make sure everything else is in place before I shut off the power."
"Of course." I said.
"Then that's that. Would you like to battle me?" he asked.
"Yes," I said. "That would be great."
"Alright. Let me take you to the stage." said the gym leader. He took us back up the flight of stairs and turned left down the hall. Straight into an elevator. We rode upwards for what felt like a full minute. Before the elevator came to a stop.
The doors slammed open and Luminous shouted, as if speaking to a crowd, "This is Floor de Electronica."
I could make out a deep sea blue field and four tesla coils, One on each corner of the rectangular field.
"What's the catch here?" I asked.
"All Electric type moves hit in here." said Luminous.
I stepped onto the side closest to me and Luminous took a minute to get to the other side.
"Go," he said with a yawn.
First one to go would be Zorua. Then Eevee, then Scyther and finally Dragonair.
I reached for my Pokeball," Go Zorua!"
I threw him out onto the field.
"I was wondering when I was going to fight." he commented upon being brought out.
"Then I'll choose Electabuzz." said Luminous. He took out his pokeball and threw out Electrubuzz.
Great a Pokemon that could be terrible right off the bat.
"I'll start! Zorua, use Furry Swipes!" I shouted. Zorua pounced at Electrubuzz and started to scratch him.
"Focus blast him!" shouted Luminous.
"Zorua dodge it!" I shouted. Zorua jumped away as Electrubuzz charged a glowing ball in his hands. He let it go and Zorua jumped out of the way. Electrubuzz released the glowing ball and it flew at Zorua. But even without Zorua dodging it, the ball missed.
"Zorua remember to keep your range from the Electrubuzz. If you're far he can't hit you."
I reminded Zorua.
"Got it." said Zorua.
"Well it was worth a shot." said Luminous. "Now here comes the real punishment."
"Nope! Zorua sucker punch him!" I shouted.
Zorua ran up to the Electubuzz and jumped up to his face. He smacked him down to the ground in one blow.
"Electrubuzz keep it together! Thunder!" shouted Luminous.
"Zorua get out of there!" I shouted. Electrubuzz smiled and his body snapped with electricity. Then he fired what seemed like a yellow giant laser beam.
"Zorua!" I shouted. He spun out of the way. but the tesla coils took it. Then suddenly from all four of the tesla coils lightning fired at Zorua.
"Aaahhh!" he shouted. He seemed to float in the air for a second and fell to the floor.
"Zorua!" I shouted again. "Don't worry I'm putting you back-"
"Wait!" he shouted. "This is my final attack. What good is it if I don't put my all into it?"
He pushed himself up and shouted, "This is my all!"
"Electubuzz finish him!" shouted Luminous.
"Ahh!" Zorua ran at the Electubuzz and swerved out of the way of the thunder. "Eat this." He jumped at the Electubuzz. Electubuzz stopped his thunder and attempted to grab Zorua. Zorua pulled his hand back and caused him to lose balance. Then he jumped off of him and kicked his head into the ground. "Foul play!"
Then suddenly the thunder from earlier came back to haunt him.
"Aaaahhh!" He shouted and fainted.
"Thank you," I muttered. I took out my Pokeball and said, "Thanks." I put him back into his ball and Luminous smiled. "Nice one."
"Yes, that was a nice one." I said, aiming the compliment to Zorua.
"I'll start this round," said Luminous. "Go Jolteon!"
He brought out a Jolteon this time.
"Alright. Go Eevee!" I shouted. I took her out and she stared at the Jolteon. "Really? Another eeveelution?"
"Hello." said the Jolteon casually. "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to take this round for my trainer. But you can call me anytime afterwards." He winked.
"Umm… Yoshi. I don't like him." said Eevee.
"Sorry bear with it." I sighed.
"Eevee beat him, Return!" I shouted.
She ran at hims saying." It may as well be Frustration!"
The Jolteon nimbly stepped out of the way.
"Aww… Don't be that way." said Jolteon.
"Yoshi, can you send Scizor or something against him?" begged Eevee.
"Sorry I don't know if he has hidden power Fire or not. So bear with me." I said.
"Jolteon, Thunder!" shouted Luminous. This spam though, I thought to myself.
"Sorry girl!" Shouted Jolteon. He charged up and fired large bolt of lightning at Eevee.
Eevee tensed up and took up a huge percentage of the hit. Her fur was charged and she wobbled a little. I remembered, Jolteon's power was by far stronger than Electrubuzz's. What do I do? If I let Eevee stay there she's going to be destroyed. If I let Scizor out, eh might get immediately destroyed by a hidden power.
I gritted my teeth. "Return Eevee!"
"What bu-" she started to say and got back into the pokeball.
"Folding?" asked Luminous, with a pout.
"No, changing plans." I said and shouted, "Go Scizor!"
I threw out scizor and he shouted, "The first fight in my evolved form. This is wonderful." He struck a pose like a boxer getting ready to throw some punches.
"Yuck a bug type guy." Jolteon teased.
Scizor pointed a pincer at Jolteon and taunted him. "Come at me."
"Pfft. As if." said Jolteon.
"Let's start, Scizor, Furry Cutter," I spat.
"Jolteon thunder." shouted Luminous. Scizor crossed his arms and knelt down taking the beam. Scizor ran at him and slammed him with his pincers. Knocking Jolteon up.
"Jolteon! Thunder!" shouted Luminous. Jolteon fired lightning from himself in air.
Scizor took the hit and at Jolteon as he landed and hit him again, this time slamming him into the ground.
Jolteon fainted.
"Alright Scizor! Keep it up!" I yelled.
"Of course." said Scizor pridefully. But even though he said that, I knew Scizor was reaching his limit. If the next two pokemon aren't any slower or weaker. I would have to resort to Eevee and Dratini. I bit my lip, this isn't going too well. This match was basically to my disadvantage. Eevee probably couldn't take another hit, and she probably wasn't going to be fast enough to land a hit on the next pokemon. This made the match basically a 2 vs 2. No maybe 1 and a half vs 2 because Scizor beat. But Scizor's Fury cutter is maxed out. Next match is the deciding factor.
"Okay. Go Luxray!" shouted Luminous. Crap another high leveled Pokemon. at least it's not too strong.
He stood there and glared at us. Then loosened up and yawned.
"Are you alright Scizor? Feeling sleepy?" I asked.
"No, I feel fine. I think it was a normal yawn." said Scizor.
"I'll start it off, Luxray wild charge!" shouted Luminous.
The luxray suddenly switched to aggressive stance and ran at Scizor leaving trails of lightning across the floor.
"Crap! Scizor withstand it and use fury cutter!" I shouted.
Scizor crossed his arms and knelt down. The luxray smashed into him and he exploded with electricity. But he stood his ground as I shouted, "Scizor! Fury Cutter!"
Scizor raised his hand up and slammed the Luxray into the ground.
"Luxray! Finish him with Wild charge." said Luminous. Luxray jumped out from beneath Scizor's pincer and rammed him again. This time with less power.
But it was just enough to get through to Scizor. He stood up straight for one second, the lightning reeling through him, until he fell to the floor.
Now I'm really down to Dragonair. I hadn't a clue how he fought what his moves were, or even if he could get through it. I guess. I guess this is my loss. But like all challenges I couldn't quit here.
"Dragonair, go." I said, and threw him out.
He looked around quietly, until his eyes caught on Luxray.
"Umm…" he said turning around to face me.
"Yeah I know. But I guess here's a good place to test your might." I shrugged. "Can you tell me your moves?"
"Dragontail," he said.
Okay Dragontail.
"Rest."
Rest? I stared at him.
"Sleep Talk." he said.
This can't be good.
"Th-thunder W-wave." He said with a huff. I gritted my teeth. 'Oh yeah this is not good,' I thought. 'Why? Why would he be taught moves to defend even though he's best at attacking?'
"Can I attack now?" asked Luminous.
"Okay." I said, "Let's start this fight! Dragonair, dragontail!"'
"Wild Charge!" shouted Luminous.
Luxray tackled Dragonair with a wild charge. Dragonair winced but smacked him back towards his owner. Straight into his pokeball. And instead Lanturn.
"Well that was rather unexpected," said Luminous. "Lanturn! Scald!"
He shot boiling water at Dragonair, but it didn't matter because it wasn't effective!
"Dragonair, Dragon tail!" I shouted. He smashed his tail into Lanturn and threw him back into the pokeball, bringing out Luxray. Luxray looked around clearly confused.
"Wild charge!" shouted Luminous.
Luxray ran into Dragonair and slammed into him as hard as he can. I could see Dragonair wince much more than he should've.
"Dragonair, Rest!" I chuckled. 'This is unfair,' I laughed.
Dragonair coiled up and closed his eyes.
"Oh are you serious?" asked Luminous. "This is unfair, but I've got to tell you this is a good strategy."
I nodded in agreement.
"But is leaving yourself open such a good idea?" asked Luminous, said with a smile, excited for the opening and shouted, "Wild charge!"
"Sleep talk!" I countered. And I could see Luminous' smile suddenly dissolve.
Dragonair suddenly crackled with electricity. Luxray slammed into Luxray and upon touching him he fell down. Finally all the damage he had taken earlier caught up.
Luminous stared, and said, "This is game. Take this badge."
Luminous sat next to Luxray and stroked him as he took out his pokeball.
I walked over to Dragonair and said, "You can wake up."
But Dragonair was in a deep sleep.
"Nice strategy," said Luminous smiling. "It's dirty, but it works."
"It sure does." I agreed.
"You make it sound like it's not really your strategy." he said.
"Not quite, "I agreed. "I caught him with these moves."
"Oh." he said. "Your Scizor was nice too. Along with your Zorua."
"Thanks." I said. And sat down to stroke Dragonair as well.
Exoventure Note: I'm so angry! My father took my headphones! What the hell kind of punishment is that?! Not only did he take my headphones, but my phone, and tablet as well? You know why that makes me angry? Imagine a guy that talks to you in the middle of doing math, writing stories, or simply concentrating. Basically this is how I feel: I'm running, running running, until suddenly, WALL! HA IN YOUR FACE! And the wall stays there for fifteen minutes. Basically once he starts talking to me I have to leave the room because he won't shutup! I know I sound mean, but I need my personal space and silence for concentration. And when this guy talks he complains/ rants. And he rants about anything! Programs, news, race, it's not like I cause it you know?...
In any case, *Sighs* I'm continuing this story. Still feeling good. Just gah! My headphones. I live off of and love headphones. My headphones are so comfy, and the sound is so clear and perfect. It's just something I can't get from my computer's speakers. And I can't play my computer's speakers so loud so I can't go deep in my zone. Basically if I'm in the zone, it let's me space out, and work. If I go deep enough into my zone, I can go on for a good four or five hours without noticing it's been four or five hours. Unfortunately without music and headphones, I can work for a good hour until I get bored.
I took time trying to remember what I said, and what I didn't say. So that I know what I can do and what I can't. Like certain things I can't do, only because, I haven't mentioned it yet."
I had plans to make this chapter much longer. Originally. But then I started taking lots of time and like I said I needed to research my older chapters for info, I decided to post part of it, because I've taken time and I don't want to look like I gave up. I want to finish this! Only if there were more hours in a day. ;-;
