Deleted Scene 8 Separate Ways S5 Finale/Loser Like Me S6

A.N.- So this one is how S5 ends and S6 begins...enjoy. And I'm so sorry but I realized I messed up my calculations. I wrote in A Tragic Victory that Emma was due in Jan. 2014 but she was supposed to deliver in August a little later after Alex was born. I have fixed the error in the chapter.. Anyways, enjoy.

"Alright Rachel, here we go..."

Rachel took a deep sigh as Noelle and Josh sat with her.

"How are you feeling, Rach?" Noelle asked.

"I'm okay, I am," Rachel replied.

"Okay, here comes your first baby," the doctor said. There was a brief pause. "It's a boy at 8:50 A.M.! Happy Valentine's Day Handsome!" The baby boy screamed out his lungs as Noelle clapped and Josh grinned as the newborn was held up for the three to see.

"A boy! You have another boy, Rach!" said Noelle excitedly as the baby was handed off to a waiting nurse. Rachel smiled and cried.

"He looks just like Finn," Josh said. "He's got a fauxhawk in the front!"

"Ha, I knew it!" said Noelle excitedly as Rachel gave a tiny chuckle.

"Okay Rachel, here comes Baby B," said the doctor as she reached in to deliver the second baby. "Baby B is a footling breech," the doctor noted and the nurses prepared to give the second infant some oxygen just in case. "Happy Birthday and Happy Valentine's Day! Baby B is a girl at 8:52 a.m.!" The newborn girl wailed as the doctor held her up over the screen to show Rachel, Noelle and Josh.

"Congrats Sis, I know he's so proud of you," Noelle said, placing a hand on Rachel's head.

"Thanks Noe, and thank you to both of you for being in here with me," Rachel replied.

"Finn would have wanted it this way," Noelle replied. As the doctor was sewing up Rachel, Noelle smiled as the nurses gently placed the twins in their mother's waiting arms.

"Do we have any names yet?" asked one of the nurses.

"Christopher Hiram, and Christina Rachel," Rachel replied.

"Perfect," Noelle confirmed to Rachel as Josh nodded in agreement. She looked down at the second set of Hudson twins.

"I'm still in awe, how in the world did you and Finn manage to conceive TWO sets of fraternal twins in just two years?" Noelle asked Rachel. "I mean, what are the odds?"

"I have no idea," laughed Rachel.

"Well, we'll blame Finn," Josh reassured Rachel with a laugh as he looked up at the ceiling. "Sorry Bro, you know I'm just teasing."

Noelle laughed as the nurses took the twins back. She saw Rachel close her eyes.

"Rachel?" A pause. "Rachel."

"RACHEL! Earth to Rachel Barbra Berry-Hudson!"

Rachel was snapped out of her trans as she stared out the kitchen window and turned around..

"Huh?" Rachel asked.

"I asked, 'Are you okay?'" Noelle replied as she looked at her sister-in-law.

"Oh, yeah, sorry, I was just thinking about Chris and Christina's birth," said Rachel. "This last year and a half has just been crazy."

"I know, right?" Noelle asked. "Hey, come into the living room, I have to make an announcement to everyone." They walked into the living room, where Quinn, Puck, Beth, Alex, Josh, Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Sam, Blaine, and Kurt sat with Christopher, Christina, Reagan, and William, who were now dubbed as the Finchel Four.

"Alright, alright, listen up everyone!" said Noelle. "Josh and I have something important to tell y'all."

"You're not pregnant, are you?" Kurt asked horrified. Noelle scowled at Kurt.

"No, of course not, I'm not like your idiot brother and First Class Airman Puckerman here and forget protection, at least I'm smart about it. No offense Rachel and Quinn," Josh quipped back to Kurt and the group roared with laughter as Puck rolled his eyes.

"Anyways, what we have to say is uber important," Noelle replied. "My record has been so successful these last six months since we left Wicked. We obviously can't go anywhere without getting mobbed. And I got a phone call that just changed my whole life."

"What are you talking about, what phone call?" Rachel asked Noelle. Noelle took a deep breath.

"My friend Jayce is a record producer in Nashville," Noelle said. "He's asked me to record a country album."

"Oh my god, are you pulling a Taylor Swift and moving to Nashville?" Mercedes asked excitedly. Noelle nodded.

"Yes," said Noelle with a smile. The group cheered and hugged Noelle.

"That's great!" said Sam. "I'm so happy for ya, Noelle."

"Thanks," said Noelle.

"Wait, what about NYU and Pace and your guys' classes?" Kurt asked.

"I've been accepted to Vanderbilt starting in the fall," Josh replied. "I'm also switching majors. I'm going into the Music Education department as a Vocal Major."

"Josh, that's incredible! Vanderbilt is a great school!" said Quinn excitedly.

"And I talked to Dean Winters about transferring my credits somewhere else," Noelle added. "But since I have so many, I'm actually close to graduating early."

"Like how early?" Puck asked.

"Like, I'll be graduating from NYU this month," Noelle said excitedly. The group cheered and hugged Noelle again.

"Wow, that's really early!" said Santana.

"Well, with my PSEOP credits from high school I didn't have to take any general education courses, and all my classes have been related to my degree. And Dean Winters gave me more credits with my experience in Wicked and recording my album out here."

"That's great!" said Rachel, hugging Noelle. She turned to the group. "I also have an announcement to make."

"What's that?" Noelle asked Rachel. Rachel took a deep breath.

"I'm selling the Brownstone and moving back to Lima," said Rachel.

"What?!" cried the group.

"But what will you do with NYU and any other Broadway shows?" Kurt asked horrified.

"That's the thing, I also talked to Dean Winters, and he's letting me take a hiatus from school," said Rachel. "I have four babies that need their mom's full-time attention. So I'm taking the kids, and I'm moving back home and in with Burt and Carole. They need someone to help take care of the house while they are going back and forth between Lima and DC, and Burt and Carole deserve to see their grandchildren more. Plus, it's where we were raised, and I want the same thing for the kids. I want them to see where Finn and I grew up and where we all met. The city is no place for four little children. Maybe we'll come back when they are a little older, but for now I just want to focus on the kids."

"Well, since everyone else is making an announcement about their career change, I guess, I better open my fat mouth too," Mercedes replied. The group turned to her.

"I'm going on tour," Mercedes continued, "and Brittany and Santana are coming with me!"

"What?" Noelle asked incredulously as she grinned. "You guys! That's incredible!"

"And we'll get credit for NYU as well," Santana smiled.

"Congrats you guys!" said Josh as the group hugged Mercedes, Santana, and Brittany. Sam was standing in the back, looking stunned. Mercedes took note of this and walked over to him.

"Sam, babe, are you okay?" Mercedes asked.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sam asked sadly as he looked out the front window. "I've been busting my behind out here modeling so we could settle down, have a place of our own, and now you're going across the country."

"Listen Trouty Mouth, your girlfriend has been working just as extra hard as your stripper white ass has been," Santana snarked.

"Shut up Santana, language," Quinn hissed as she put her hands over Beth's ears.

"Oh please, Q, look who's their father," Santana snarked back.

"Guys, guys, guys, chill out," said Noelle. "Why don't we let Sam and Cedes have some privacy."

Noelle ushered the others out of the living room and as she followed the group out she turned back to look at Sam and Mercedes. She smiled knowingly as Sam looked at her and Noelle winked and walked away. Mercedes looked at him, an eyebrow furrowed.

"What was that all about?" Mercedes asked Sam. Sam sighed.

"I was going to take you out to dinner tonight, I had this all planned out," Sam sighed. Mercedes gasped as Sam pulled out a small jeweler's box.

"I borrowed some money from Noelle and Josh to get this," Sam said. "I hadn't told anyone else, but Coach Bieste called me and offered me a real job. She wants me to become an assistant coach for the Titans with possibly taking over the head coach position someday. It would mean both of us settling down permanently in Lima. Now, before you go giving me an answer, just hear me out. I'm using the money from my modeling career to put a down payment on a 3 bedroom house. I got it cheap. It's not much, but with a little paint and some TLC, it can be our home. If anything has taught me an important lesson, it was everything that happened with Finn and all. Life is too short, and life needs to be fulfilled to the fullest."

Sam got down on one knee and opened the box to reveal what Mercedes had already suspected, a gorgeous diamond engagement ring.

"I want you to make me the happiest man on earth. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I don't care how rich or poor we are, all I want is you. Mercedes Jones, will you marry me?"

Mercedes was speechless as Sam waited for her answer.

"Sam..." Sam's shoulders slumped a little bit.

"That ring better be a Size 6," Mercedes smiled, tears flowing down her face.

"Wait, what?" Sam asked as he looked up at her with a smile on face. "It that a-"

"Yes," Mercedes finished. "Yes, I will marry you."

"Really?" Sam asked with a giant grin on her face.

"Boy, you better be putting that ring on my finger before I change my-"

"Okay, okay," laughed Sam as he took the ring out of the box and slid the ring on Mercedes' finger. He kissed her and the two were interrupted by a chorus of applause and cheers.

"It's about time!" drawled Josh as Noelle grinned. Rachel and Quinn were hugging the two ecstatically as the others gathered around them.

A few weeks later, the brownstone was emptier than a poor man's ice box. Kurt and Blaine had moved in next door with Puck and Quinn, who were happy to have them for the time being while they found an apartment of their own. The furniture had been divided among Noelle, Josh and Rachel, who had loaded up a giant U-haul. Sam was going to ride back to Lima with Rachel and the kids in Finn's old van later that evening so that Rachel wasn't driving alone. William, Reagan, Christopher and Christina were over at Shelby's for the afternoon while the group packed up their belongings. Noelle and Josh would drive the U-Haul and then drive themselves to Nashville after stopping back in Lima to help Rachel unpack and pick up Josh's truck.

"Well, that's it, that's everything," said Noelle as Josh closed and locked the U-Haul.

"I can't believe everything that's happening," said Rachel as she stood with the . "Look at us, we were all here together, and now we're all going our separate ways."

"Yeah, but it's not goodbye," said Mercedes. "We'll all be together again."

"Hey, I have an idea," said Rachel. "Next month is the anniversary of Finn's death. Let's make a pact to meet back in Lima in one month and meet at Finn's grave."

"Great idea," Puck nodded. "Hopefully I'm not deployed or anything."

"I'll understand if you are, Noah," said Rachel, giving him a hug. "Be safe."

"I will, I told you once before than Finn watches over me when I'm deployed," Puck said to Rachel.

"Ya know, this kind of makes me want to break out in song," Kurt replied as they all came in for a group hug.

The group laughed as music played from the stereo a guy passing them was carrying and the group started to sing. Soon the group was gathered in the streets of New York singing their farewell to each other.

Blaine with Alumni:

Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh

Brittany and Santana (Alumni):

But if you close your eyes (Eh-oh, eh-oh)

Brittany, Santana, and Mercedes were loading up the taxi with their things. Sam gave Mercedes a sweet kiss.

"I love you," Sam said.

"I love you too," Mercedes replied.

"Call me when you guys get to L.A.," Sam replied.

"Okay," said Mercedes. He kissed her again and led his fiancee to the waiting taxi.

"Break a leg you guys!" Sam said as he closed the door and the taxi drove away.

Josh and Noelle with Alumni (Alumni):

Does it almost feel like (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)

Nothing's changed at all? (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)

Puck:

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

Puck was checking the mail and saw a manila envelope with the return address of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

"Puck?" Quinn asked as she came into their living room after putting Alex and Beth down for their naps. "Baby, you alright?' She noticed Puck reading a piece of paper, a look of horror on his face. Quinn stopped.

"What is it?" Quinn asked fearfully.

"I just got my first overseas deployment orders," Puck said. "I'm going to Afghanistan. Until September. I have to leave in two days."

Quinn rushed up to him and hugged him tearfully.

"I love you Puckerman, don't get killed," said Quinn. "Come back to us."

"I love you too," said Puck. He lifted his wife up and carried her into their bedroom.

Rachel (with Kurt):

Oh where do we begin?

(The rubble or our sins?)

Rachel, Noelle, Josh and Sam hugged Kurt, Blaine, Puck, Quinn, Beth and Alex goodbye as they headed out to pick up the Finchel Four from Shelby's.

Puck stood with Quinn and the kids at LaGuardia as his flight to Dayton was announced. Since he was Military, he had gotten Quinn and the kids special passes to come with him to the gate.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we will now begin boarding Flight 6084 to Dayton. At this time we will give a priority boarding to any passengers with disabilities or uniformed Military personnel."

"That's me," said Puck as he stood up with Quinn, Beth, and Alex.

"Bye Daddy, I love you," said Beth, giving Puck a hug. Puck lifted her up and hugged her back. He kissed her cheek.

"I love you too, Monkey-Face," said Puck, setting her down. "Be good for Mommy, see you in a couple months." Puck turned to Quinn, who was holding Alex.

"Hey buddy, be good for Mommy," said Puck. He kissed the top of Alex's head as Alex looked up at him with his pacifier in his mouth. "I love you."

Puck looked over at Quinn, who had tears in her eyes.

"I love you," Puck said.

"I love you," Quinn whispered tearfully. Their lips gently met and Puck gave Quinn an Eskimo kiss. Then he picked up his bag and grabbed his ticket and headed to the ticket attendant. Puck scanned his ticket, turned to his family and waved. Quinn and Beth waved back.

Sam (Alumni):

Sam was walking down the halls of McKinley, looking into the choir room. Computers replaced the piano and the other instruments, and a teacher was helping a student use the internet.

Noelle and Josh were unloading the u-haul in Nashville, moving into their new home.

Rachel walked across the Lima Cemetery grass and came to a stop at Finn's grave. She knelt down in front of Finn's grave and pressed a kiss to his headstone.

"Hi Baby, I'm here," Rachel whispered. "I love you."

She looked up to the sky and smiled as the sun shined down on her.

Noelle Hudson-Koontz Has Gone Country!

In a shocking move, Broadway Sensation and Pop Recording Artist Noelle Hudson-Koontz has made the shocking announcement to her fans on Twitter and Facebook that she is making the jump to Country Music. Is Noelle the new Taylor Swift or Kelly Clarkson? This writer hopes that Noelle does not disappoint. She already left Broadway to record one album.

Noelle scowled at the article in Variety and tossed the magazine in the garbage.

"Ready to do this Noelle?" asked Jayce.

"Yeah, let's get down to work," said Noelle, stepping into the recording booth.

Back in Lima, Rachel was reading her own copy of Variety.

Rachel Berry-Hudson Takes Time Off

Rachel Berry-Hudson has taken time off from Broadway to raise her and her late husband's four children. It was no surprise when Hudson left her role in Wicked alongside her sister-in-law, Noelle Hudson-Koontz while six months pregnant with the youngest two Hudson children, but the Broadway community thought she would return in another role soon. This reporter has learned that Rachel has left New York and gone crawling back to her hometown of Lima, Ohio, more than likely to hide in shame.

Rachel scowled and threw the magazine in the trash and walked into Superintendent Harris' office.

"Ah Rachel, welcome back, it's good to see you!" said Superintendent Harris.

"Hello Superintendent Harris!" said Rachel.

"What do I owe this pleasure?" asked Superintendent Harris.

"Well Sir, I've been back home in Lima for awhile now," said Rachel. "And I know Homecoming is around the corner, but I have proposition for you."

"What's that?" asked Superintendent Harris.

"I'd like to reinstate the Glee Club!" said Rachel. " Look I know you have an agreement with Coach Sylvester but depriving the school of the arts is wrong."

"I agree," said Superintendent Harris. "I think the arts are extremely important. But, unfortunately, the principals are in charge of the schools."

"Right, but aren't you in charge of the principals?" Rachel quipped back nicely.

"Even if I wanted to go over Sue Sylvester's head, it would be impossible at this point. I would love to help you Rachel, but we just don't have the money," said Superintendent Harris. "The budget's already been set for this year."

"Money won't be an issue, Sir," said Rachel. "I'm well off from Wicked, and I'm going to ask Noelle and them for help. Everyone would probably contribute in some way. We would be willing to donate if it meant bringing back the Glee Club."

"Hmm," replied Superintendent Harris as he stood up and walked over to the window. He chuckled. "Ya know, I have to admit, I wouldn't mind seeing Sue Sylvester taken down a peg. I mean, the grades are up, but I'm not sure about the caning. I have a sneaky suspicion she's angling for my job."

"That would not surprise me," Rachel replied. Superintendent Harris smiled and pointed a finger at her.

"Alright, you've got a deal!" said Superintendent Harris. "On one condition."

"Okay," said Rachel.

"You run it," said Superintendent Harris.

"What?" Rachel replied.

"You know what you're doing, Rachel," said Superintendent Harris. "You're the perfect candidate."

"He wants you to take over the Glee Club?" Kurt asked excitedly over the phone.

"Yeah, and with you and Blaine broken up, I figured maybe you wanna help me," said Rachel. "I called Dean Winters and he's going to give us credit for working with the Glee Club. Like an internship."

"Say no more, I'll call Dean Winters tomorrow and tell him I'm gonna help you!" said Kurt. "See you soon Rach!"

Rachel hung up the phone and smiled. She looked up towards the ceiling as she sat on the stage in the auditorium.

A couple days later, Kurt and Rachel were in the choir room. Rachel had made a quick call to Noelle and Josh and told them of her brilliant idea, and Noelle told her they would be home to Lima the following day to surprise Kurt. Noelle had called the music store and ordered the instruments they would need, and Rachel had pulled Finn's drumset out of the Hudson-Hummel's basement.

"Thank you so much gentlemen," said Kurt as he and Rachel pushed the piano Noelle had ordered into the choir room.

"Yeah we know in the past that the Glee Club and the AV Club have had friendly relations and we promise to keep that intact!" said Rachel.

"And we promise to learn your names, yes," said Kurt. He turned to Rachel. "And that goes for the band too." Rachel nodded. They heard a loud thud and the splattering of a liquid and the two turned to see Sue Sylvester standing in the doorway of the choir room.

"What is this?" Sue asked Rachel and Kurt.

"We're bringing back the Glee Club," Rachel said, her arms crossed over her chest. "I went over your head and got express written consent from Superintendent Harris, and there is nothing you can do to stop this."

"Let me get this straight," Sue replied. "The superintendent gave you permission to demolish a state-of-the-art computer lab to make room for a glee club."

"He may have been aware that this was a computer lab," Kurt replied.

"And who will be running this glee club?" Sue asked.

"Us, and possibly the occasional Alumni member or two that comes back for a visit," Rachel replied.

"We get credit for NYU," said Kurt.

"Okay, well, I have to admit, uh, I'm surprised at the speed with which two of the Glee Club's more promising graduates have tucked their tails between their legs and slinked back to high school. While I'm always tickled at the sheer-novelty of having a middle-sex like Porcelain, 'cause it's just so whimsical to talk to somebody who looks and sounds so much like a gay cartoon walrus." Sue looked at Rachel. "You, Rachel Berry-Hudson, well, you crossed a line. I don't appreciate being told off. And when we met up in New York, you and Gimpy insulted me in front of my beau."

"You walked out in the middle of our show!" Rachel cried.

"Of course," said Sue. "And then you do this. You two have just entered Sue Sylvester's Thunderdome. And I will show you no mercy, give no quarter, and my battle with Will Schuester will look like two adorable little baby pandas play wrestling in comparison to what I'm going to unleash on the both of you."

Rachel crossed her arms again and she and Kurt gave Sue death glares.

"You will beg for mercy," Sue continued. She grabbed the pencil sharpener that had been sitting on the desk by the door. "But it will not come. You think you bottomed out when you left that musical of yours to pop out the last of Frankenteen's spawn? No, Rachel, your national nightmare has just..."

Sue started to open the pencil sharpener and she dumped out the pencil shavings onto the floor.

"...begun." Sue tossed the pencil sharpener back onto the desk. She walked up to Kurt and sniffed him.

"You smell like a nursing home," Sue said to Kurt. Kurt rolled his eyes and Sue started to walk away. Before she left, she went on one of her classic rampages. She grabbed the papers that were on top of the pianos and scattered them in the room. Then she grabbed the garbage can and threw the garbage into the choir room. Sue then grabbed her internet safety poster out of the office and left. Rachel rolled her eyes as the bell rang.

The next morning, Rachel walked into the choir room, a box in her hand. She turned the light on and began to set up the desk. She pulled out her laptop, her pictures of the kids, her and Finn's wedding day, Nationals, and Graduation. She tacked some stuff from her old bedroom wall, including the gold star and her "Dream" paper onto the corkboard.

"Perfect," said Rachel, thumbing the photo of her and Finn. There was a knock and Rachel looked up.

"You know, I always thought one day that Finn would take this place over," said Will as he stood in the doorway. Rachel smiled.

"Yeah, well, it's just for a little while until I get my feet on the ground," Rachel replied.

"You know what that means yet?" Will asked.

"At some point, NYU and back to Broadway," said Rachel. "I'm doing this for Finn, this is what he would have wanted, for us to reboot the glee club. Finn wanted to be a teacher you know. He worked so hard. Sure he failed a couple tests, but he always asked the professors if he could try again. And they would give him a second chance. Glee Club deserves a second chance. So don't bet against me."

"I never have and I never will," Will replied. He reached into his pocket. "I, um, wanted to bring you something." He held up an old paper from Rachel's Sophomore year that Emma had put on Will's corkboard. It was the #1 Priority List, "Help The Kids".

"And just a friendly little reminder," Will continued. "You will be competing against Blaine and me at Sectionals, so um, I think it's time to start recruiting."

"Yeah," said Rachel with a smile. "I've already called the other alumni to come help. Noelle and Josh contributed money towards the music and instruments. They'll be here later this afternoon to surprise Kurt.

"That's great," said Will. "I think you're going to like it here." He walked out and Rachel smiled. She took the sign up sheet and the gold star and headed out into the hallway and she started to sing.

Rachel:

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation

And it looks like I'm the queen

And the wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried

Don't let them in, don't let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know

Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

I don't care

What they're going to say

Let the storm rage on

The cold never bothered me anyway

Noelle and Josh were in their house, packing up their suitcases to catch their flight to Dayton International Airport for that morning. They hailed a cab and got to the airport.

Noelle: It's funny how some distance

Makes everything seem small

And the fears that once controlled me

Can't get to me at all

It's time to see what I can do

To test the limits and break through

No right, no wrong, no rules for me

I'm free

Let it go, let it go

I am one with the wind and sky

Let it go, let it go

You'll never see me cry

Here I stand

And here I'll stay

Let the storm rage on

Rachel was standing on the stage in the auditorium, looking at Finn's plaque.

Rachel: My power flurries through the air into the ground

My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around

Noelle looked at another magazine as she and Josh walked through the Nashville Airport. All of the headlines were about Noelle going country and leaving Broadway. Most of them were negative.

Noelle: And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast

I'm never going back, the past is in the past

Both: Let it go, let it go

Rachel: And I'll rise like the break of dawn

Both: Let it go, let it go

Noelle: That perfect girl is gone

Rachel: Here I stand

In the light of day

Noelle: Let the storm rage on

Rachel: The cold never bothered me anyway

Rachel pinned the Glee Club sign up sheet on the corkboard in the school hallway and smiled.
