Chapter 11 – The One True Sky, Act Two

Mukuro didn't think the newly arrived teen was a threat at all. However that may be, Mukuro was very surprised that the teen had deflected his attack, moreover, he managed to counterattack. "Just who are you kid?"

"It wasn't a secret, why yes, I am Rokudo Mukuro, what is that to you?" Mukuro asked wile spawning his dark staff with three silver blades on top. The teenager didn't so much as flinch. So the kid had experience in the mafia world, so what, Mukuro had killed many veteran Mafioso with ease. One teenager with fuzzy brown hair meant nothing, nothing at all.

Mukuro noticed the teenager looking at the three that he dealt with earlier, "you worried about those three?" Mukuro asked with a slim smile, "don't worry, they're only sleeping, you'll be next my dear," Mukuro did love to toy with his prey. This one has that innocent look to him, so it wasn't hard to smile.

Mukuro started walking, eying the teenager while he looped around him, "what's your name?" Mukuro asked still smiling.

"Abel Tsunayoshi," that name didn't ring a single bell in Mukuro's mind. Just a nobody, Mukuro mused. Yet, where did those sky flames come from he wondered. Only potent and strong people, usually mafia associated, had flames to begin with. The sky flames were on a level of their own. Not even Mukuro had sky flames. They were terribly rare. Abel even managed to dispel one of his strong attacks.

Tsuna eyed Mukuro carefully. He knew full well that the escaped prisoner was underestimating him, just like most of his opponents did. Tsuna didn't like to fight, but this opponent wouldn't let him just take his brother and his brother's friends away. He had no choice but to fight.

Tsuna watched carefully as Mukuro made his first move, slamming the bottom of his staff on the ground. Immediately after streams of flames with plant roots surrounding them spawned from the wooden floor. Tsuna avoided touching them, jumping around and using his experience to predict where the next burst of flame would come.

"Kufufu," Mukuro's voice laughed, "dance for me Abel Tsunayoshi!" The voice sounded teasing and taunting as more flames erupted from the ground.

It took Tsuna more and more energy to evade all the flames. He had to do something, otherwise it would be all over.

Tsuna noticed something when he almost got hit by a torching gazer of flames. He didn't feel any heat coming from the gazer. He looked around as he was midway in the sky. The entire room was filled with gazers, but if that were true, why wasn't the temperature increasing? "That's it," Tsuna whispered before dropping to a small area where there weren't any gazers.

"Given up already?" Flames erupted from beneath Tsuna and engulfed him a moment later.

"No," Tsuna said as he stepped out from the shower of flames. It was time for Tsuna to begin his own attack, "Fiamma," he stretched his hand towards where he could sense Mukuro with his Hyper Intuition and said "Lanterna."

Mukuro's smile faltered when he noticed Abel Tsunayoshi's hand glowing brightly. The light then shot towards Mukuro. It blinded his eyes. "Damnit," Mukuro cursed.

No sooner had his attack hit had the flame gazers disappeared. Tsuna was no fool, he knew it wasn't going to be this easy, "show yourself Mukuro."

"Kufufu," Mukuro appeared behind a pillar. Though there was still a teasing smile plastered on his pale skin, Mukuro's clothing were crisped slightly with burn marks, "you're not as innocent as I thought Abel Tsunayoshi," and with that the smile disappeared and a scowl took his place, "Path of the Human," his one red eye which at first contained the kanji word for 'one' now turned into kanji for the word 'five'.

Tsuna hadn't paid much attention to Mukuro's right eye, but he wished he had, because now a purple aura surrounded Mukuro's entire body.

Mukuro stood smiling teasingly again as he flicked his fingers together. The burn markings disappeared from his garb, "I'll be sure to make you watch as I kill your friends over here," Mukuro plunged forward too sudden and too fast for Tsuna to react. He slammed the lower part of his staff into the brunette's stomach, as he crouched down in pain Mukuro kneed him in the head. He finished with a swift kick that sent the brunette tumbling towards pillar, causing a tear in its strong wood.

Tsuna's entire world was hazy. His head spun from pain and he couldn't move his limbs. There was simply too much pain from the three unmissed blows.

"Kufufu, does it hurt Abel Tsunayoshi?" Mukuro's sinister voice boomed through the spinning sensation. Tsuna knew he was being played with. Mukuro could end it any time he wanted.

Suddenly rushed footsteps came from his right. Tsuna knew that someone else had just entered the room, he was just too weak to move his head towards the noise, not that it would give him answers as he still couldn't see clearly.

"I'm going to eat your brain and then feed your body to my pet piranhas," the newcomer said playfully but with a malicious type of anger as well. Tsuna knew of only one person that threatened people like that, and that person also owned piranhas back in Italy. It was Fran.

Tsuna then fainted from the blows. Faintly he could hear blows being exchanged as he was engulfed by darkness.
