Chapter 13

"I am Megatron"

A grim and dark voice scared Sam, she recognised it but didn't want to believe it. Sam slowly turned around looking up at him his face was black covered in the darkness and all she could make out was the red glow of his optics. Red Alert was out of sight and Wing Saber was just staring at Sam wondering what she was going to do next. She stood there shivering in her shoes until she forced her hands up aiming at Megatron but nothing happened she tried to fire at him but she couldn't. Suddenly he the decepticon leader vanished with Sam just standing there looking at her hands.

"I can't do it Red Alert"

"We can't force your powers to work Sam, just give it time" explained Red Alert

Sam walked over to the corner of the room where her bag was. She picked it up and pulled out her phone looking at the time it read "20:47"

"It's late I better get home, oh and try and explain where I was, which I don't know what to say"

Wing Saber looked down at her, he didn't want her to go.

"I'll help you get home"

Sam smiled up at him before leaving the room.

"See ya tomorrow Red Alert"

On the way out Sam said good bye to Optimus and most of the others. Outside Wing Saber transformed and Sam climbed in to the cockpit. Once they took off Sam wondered if going home was the best thing, she didn't want to go home she wanted to stay with the Autobots, but she couldn't.

"Hey Wing Saber can you take me to the museum please, I've got to see someone "she asked

"Sure, but why?"

"When Poppy was looking for me I have a feeling she went to the museum to see if an old friend knew where I was" Sam explained

Wing Saber landed behind the museum so that he wouldn't get noticed, he stayed there waiting for Sam to come out of the museum. Walking in Sam saw that it was empty just a small light was on over by the professor's office. She walked slowly over and knocked on the door.

"Enter" came a voice

Opening the door Sam poked her head round to see Professor Collins sitting in his chair surrounded by paperwork.

"Hi Professor"

He recognised the voice and remembered that Poppy came in a couple of days ago, as soon as he looked up he could not believe that Sam was standing in front of him. The professor quickly stood up and walked around his desk going over to Sam and hugging her.

"Samantha, how are you. Poppy came to see me and said about your mother and"

"Professor I'm fine and so is my mum she's in hospital" Sam explained

"But she was admitted late, she could have died. What's going on here?"

Sam looked nervous, the Professor could see that Sam was keeping something from him and he could see that it was bothering her for some reason.

"Come on Sam, you can tell me anything. What's bothering you?"

"Promise me that you won't tell anyone, not even Poppy"

The Professor nodded in response and listened intently as Sam told him everything about the Autobots and the decepticons.

"I can't believe that your mother was kidnapped just to get to you, why don't you share this with Poppy? Your both practically sisters." He asked

"Poppy wouldn't understand and it's not worth risking her life as well, the decepticons wouldn't come after you though"

The Professor and Sam took a stroll around the museum, talking.

"So, that's where you've been. Poppy's been worrying about you and so has everyone else, what are you going to tell them"

"Professor I was hoping you could help me with that. No one knows about them but you and me. Can you say that I've been with you all this time, Please" asked Sam

Professor Collins hugged Sam in a positive response.

"I better go, Wing Saber is waiting for me outside"

"Is Wing Saber a transformer? He asked

"Yeah, he's been taking care to me today after the fight, you want to meet him?"

The Professor shook his head and waved good bye to Sam before returning to his office. Sam ran out of the back door and climbed into Wing Saber's cockpit.

"You took a while Sam, What were you doing?" Wing Saber questioned

"I asked an old friend to cover for me and told him about you guys, but don't worry he's good at keeping secrets" she explained

"Sam are you crazy, Optimus will go mad when he finds this out"

"Come on Wing Saber, I don't have any other way of explaining why I haven't been home for several days, unless you want me to tell everyone about you" Sam huffed

Wing Saber just groaned Sam made a fair point but she should asked Optimus first. Once they got to Sam's house Wing Saber was discreet so he wouldn't be seen, he attracted attention form the house to the back garden while he landed in the front garden and dropped Sam off. As she looked up Wing Saber flew away to base and saw nothing but clear sky filled with many stars. She walked in and closed the door quietly but as soon as she hung her bag and jacket up Jeeves and Emily came running in.

"Miss Samantha, we're glad your home. Your father has been worrying about you and your mother has been admitted in to hospital" shouted Emily

"We've been looking everywhere for you, are you hurt? Do you need something to eat? Can I get you anything at all?" yelled Jeeves

Sam just ignored them and walked in to the kitchen, the two followed her still talking and asking questions at once. Sam just got herself a packet of crisps and a drink of water before going up the large flight of stairs to her room. By the time she got there Jeeves and Emily were silence wanting to here from Sam but all they got was a door slammed in to their face.

The next day Sam was up late and yet she was still tired. Jeeves and Emily didn't dare wake her up as from the response they got last night. Just before Sam was about to head down stairs for breakfast Emily knocked on the door.

"Miss Samantha, you have a visitor down stairs in the lounge"

"Thank you, I'll be down in a minute" she replied

Brushing her hair Sam knew today will be very boring so she made a plan get out ASAP and go see the Autobots. On the way down the stairs Sam heard Poppy waiting anxiously in the lounge.

"Poppy I need my breakfast so if you wanna talk I'll be in the dining room"

Poppy heard this and quickly power walked over to see Sam sitting down eating toast and drinking freshly squeezed orange juice. Poppy sat down with Sam.

"Sam where were you?"

There was no reply

"Look I was out looking for you, we all were and you don't have the decency to tell me the truth. I thought we told each other everything" Poppy lectured

"Professor Collins" Came a quick reply

"What?"

"Poppy I was with the Professor, I needed some time alone and the professor gave that to me. He told you I wasn't there because I asked him to"

Poppy shook her head in disbelief

"I don't believe you, a couple of days ago you asked me to cover for you because you went somewhere and everyone was worried. I know you went to the same place. Where?"

By the time Poppy had finished Sam had stood and walked away towards the front door. Grabbing her bag Sam left with poppy following her.

"And why are so outgoing all of a sudden…" poppy was in the middle of her sentence talking to Sam but she wasn't listening. Both had stopped in the middle of the path and as Sam was looking at Poppy in front of her she saw Bumblebee parked on the side of the road.

"Look Poppy I was with the Professor okay"

"But" Poppy tried to talk but Sam wouldn't let her.

"If you were me poppy you wouldn't hang around with questions being shot at ya. You'd go out and try and do something because there is nothing else you can do. My mum was missing, what if that was your mum?"

After that Sam swiftly avoided Poppy and carried on walking. Sam walked all the way to the museum where she stayed for about half an hour before going to the centre of town. She stopped at a coffee shop that was a favourite of hers. Sat outside Sam ordered a cappuccino and a muffin.

"I'm sorry Sam"

Sam turned around to see Poppy walking up behind her and sitting down opposite.
