Chapter 21-Tarou

2 weeks after Hikaru killed Hiraku

Hikaru had gotten rid of his soul reaper uniform and was wearing some rags he managed to find, he was currently sitting in some bar in 75th Rukongai west drinking away when five guys surrounded him, "that's a nice scarf" their leader said, "and some nice swords you got there"

Hikaru just ignored them staring in to his drink, "hey listen here give us your stuff and we don't have to smash you skull in" he said gripping his sword

"get out of here I don't want to have to kill you" Hikaru said not looking at the guy

"you kill me" the guy and his gang laughed, "listen mate I have been killing soul reapers since I could swing a sword so I dou.." Hikaru punched the guy in the face then kicked the guy behind him in the stomach causing the others to run away, Hikaru was walking out the door when a blade hit him on the shoulder not even cutting him he turned to see the leader staring at him in horror.

"what are you, some kind of demon?" he asked

"no I'm their king" Hikaru said breaking the sword in two

Hikaru walked to an empty field and entered his inner world, the library was in ruins; the wood was rotting, the books were torn and covered in mould and mildew. Hikaru found his zanpakuto sitting on an old looking table, "why is it like this?" he asked

"because you haven't talked to him" his right zanpakuto said pointing down a unlit path

"he's right you know" his left one said

"you know I can't face him" Hikaru told his zanpakuto

"well you are going to have to you know how much we hate the smell of mould" the right one said

Hikaru walked down the unlit path and once he was out of ear shot his right zanpakuto leaned back and looked at the left one, "you think we should tell him about the new arrival?"

"na he probably knows by now" the left one said putting his feet up

Hikaru walked down the path and found himself face to face with a man made of black fire covered in pieces of torn cloth, "what do you want?" he asked

"I want to know how I can return this place to normal" Hikaru said

"do you know why I'm here" the man asked

"because I killed Tarou" Hikaru replied

"yes but he also asked me to look after you, he knew you wouldn't always be on the right path and he wanted me there to guide you back to it" he said, "and it seems he was right, Hikaru you are a captain now act like it"

"thanks Kage you really are Tarou's zanpakuto" Hikaru left his inner world

5 months later

Hikaru walked in to the captains meeting with his captains coat slung over his shoulder he walked to his place and stood there, "welcome back captain Hikaru, I must ask where you have been?" the head captain inquired

"first finding myself then a small holiday" Hikaru told him

"well this meeting was just about to be dismissed so there's not much point in you be here" the head captain said dismissing all the captains

As Hikaru walked out Ichigo caught up with him, "Hikaru, Rukia says that Isane hasn't been herself since you left you need to speak to her"

"I know and I was going to see her" Hikaru replied

"how would you know that?" Ichigo asked

"have you forgotten I can see everything" Hikaru turned around putting his hands in his sleeves

Hikaru walked in to squad 4 to find Isane talking to some of the medics, "Isane I need to talk to you" she turned around to see him and followed him outside

"when did you get back, where did you go, why did you leave" she barraged him with questions

"a few minutes ago, all over and because I needed to" he answered all her questions, "now we need to talk about what you said"

"so what do you feel?" she asked

Hikaru was deep in thought when he heard, "kiss her, you haven't had a girlfriend since what's her face" his zanpakuto shouted at him

"shut up I'm thinking" he thought at them

"I know you, you can act all tough but I know you're all soft and sweet and so does she" his right one told him

"also we know you're going to do it eventually just do it now and get it over with" his left one said

"how do you what I think" he thought defiantly

"we know every perverted thought you have and they have all been about Isane or Rangiku

Sometimes Isane and Rangiku but mostly Isane" his right one said

"and they haven't all been perverted" his left one said

Hikaru thought about it for a bit and he knew his zanpakuto were right, he came out of deep thought and hugged Isane tightly, surprising her, "maybe, I have never been in love" he said

While that was going on Rukia was pacing outside of Ichigo's office earning her some strange looks from the squad members, "I can't tell him he will freak but if I don't he will find out eventually and hate me for not telling him"

She had just returned from squad 4 after Ichigo forced her to go, "we've only been married six months we're not ready for this" she thought panicked

"calm down Rukia" she heard sode no shirayuki in her head "if he loves you he will be fine"

"you're right sode no shirayuki" Rukia steeled herself and walked in to the office to find Ichigo reading a book, he looked up and smiled at Rukia

"what happened at squad 4 what did captain Unohana say?" he asked putting the book down

"well she said..um" she was nervous

"pull yourself together Rukia you have fought espada this shouldn't scare you" she thought

"she said what?" Ichigo asked

"she said I was pregnant" Rukia blurted it out

Ichigo was frozen on the spot, not moving a muscle not even blinking, "what have you done Ichigo" Ichigo thought to himself, "Byakuya is going to kill you"

He imagined senbonzakura tearing him to bits while Byakuya watched, "Ichigo" Rukia shook him to get a reaction

"what do you think?" she asked worried about the answer

"this is great I'm going to have a son almost as powerful as me" I Ichigo imagined a younger version of him standing on some hollows neck

"or you will have a daughter as beautiful and talentedas her mother" Rukia said

"yeah she won't be able to draw either" Ichigo whispered "I'm just worried that my dad will have a field day with this and Byakuya will kill me"

"don't worry I'll protect you" Rukia kissed him on the cheek

"I'm not so pathetic that I need a pregnant woman to protect me" Ichigo said

"you keep on believing that" Rukia said leaving to tell everyone else
