Chapter 17

Sam walked up to the entrance and looked in, the darkness inside gave the museum a gloom effect that made her shiver. She tried opening the door but it was locked, Sam knew the Professor liked to work even on his days off and he would usually leave the door open just in case either she or Poppy came to visit him.

Turning around Sam could see that trying to get in to a closed building surrounded by toy cars was attracting attention.

"Okay let's try the back"

Sam tried to hide the toy cars behind her but it just made things worse so she quickly ran round the corner to the back entrance and tried that door but it was locked. Looking along the wall she noticed a ventilation shaft. The bots quickly transformed and followed her gaze.

"That's too small for you Samantha, you'd need to be the size of a tennis ball to fit through there" Wing Saber pointed out

As he finished Sam kneeled down and only smiled at him.

"Fine I'll do it but I won't be able to open the door"

"Bumblebee go with Wing Saber, get inside and open up a window that Samantha will be able to get through"

Optimus only got a small beep for a reply before both bots were lifted to the shaft by Sam and started climbing through. As the others were waiting Omega flew on to Sam's shoulder carrying her phone in his beak. He dropped it right in to her hand as she looked at it to see that Jeeves was calling her.

"Omega is really improving, his intelligence is getting better" said Red Alert

Sam just ignored the phone call and looked down at the bots.

"What do you mean?"

"Omega was programmed to learn from his experiences, every minute he spends with you or anyone else he learns new things. Sooner or later he'll be like us but a minicon"

She liked the idea of having bot roughly the same size as herself being with her, maybe even talking like the others do. Hearing the window open next to her she put her bag down and the Autobots climbed in.

"What took you guys so long?"

"Hey we're only small, besides if we were normal size we would have to wait until night to come here or even make you do it on your own"

"I wouldn't be alone Wing Saber I would have Omega"

Sam loved having small arguments with them it made her feel safe knowing they would always be there. Sam climbed up allowing Bee to jump into her bag before she climbed through, Wing Saber jumper down and transformed before hitting the floor. He flew around for some time waiting for Sam to get in. Just as she climbed all the way through she jumped on to the ground and heard the echo of her impact throughout the building.

Sam reached her hand in to her bag being careful for her friends and lifted out a torch. Turning it on she felt so alive breaking in to a museum.

"Okay we have no idea what we're looking for so that's going to be a problem here"

"Why would the decepticons make a shrink ray, use it and then put it in a public museum" questioned Scattershot

"Who knows but what we're looking for has to be a decent size for transformers to use it right, so it shouldn't be too hard to miss"

Sam began walking towards the front information desk in the middle of the museum, she put her bag on the desk and sat down on the chair so she could access the computer.

"There might be something written in one of the files that could help us" she suggested

"Autobots split up search the museum maintain communication and meet back in Sam's bag in 10minutes"

"Yes Sir" they all said at once

Sam then put the bag on the floor gently and each Autobot came out in pairs splitting up and searching. Apart from Bumblebee who stayed with Sam and Omega.

"I can't hack the network" then Sam got an idea "Omega see what you can do"

At once Omega transformed in to a bot and began hacking in to the museums network. Sam stood up allowing Omega to sit and work.

"Right new plan Omega you stay here get as much data as you can, call my phone when you find anything, Bee you and me are going to help search"

Bee then transformed in to a car drove in front of Sam as she walked off, she quickly turned to see her bag still on the floor and Omega still working he didn't even look up but give a nod when Sam told him what to do. She then started running not wanting to get caught should anyone like the professor come in to the museum. Bumblebee used his headlights to search while Sam looked around more thoroughly with her torch.

Just then Bee scared her as he began to start talking.

"No Bee, I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking for"

As soon as she finished Sam heard the other Autobots firing at something in the next room, she ran to see what was going on. Peering round the corner Sam saw a mini battle between the Autobots and the decepticons that had been shrunken as well. Bumblebee joined in the fighting not wanting to miss out on the fun.

"Not again there going to mess the place up"

Sam's phone began ringing again she saw it was Jeeves calling so she ignored it, only for the door frame she was standing under to collapse on to her.

"Ow, guys stop" but she wasn't getting through so she threw the wooden frame in to the middle of the fight. "STOP!"

Then there was silence, the decepticons immediately pointed their guns at Sam.

"Yeah go ahead shoot me it won't do much good your guns only tickle me, look you can't fight in here this is a museum it might mean much to you but it does to me and others" Sam could see the regret on the Autobot faces "And decepticons you probably still want to destroy this place because your following orders and well your decepticons but don't you think that your orders are worthless now"

"Just because we're small doesn't mean we are worthless" Said one

"Yeah you're not worthless but Megatron your so called leader that is supposed to lead the decepticons to victory and glory isn't doing a good job is he?"

"He is our leader, we have our orders"

"Orders to capture me, you can't do that right now can you and he's not a good leader because he used the shrink ray on his own men, a good leader wouldn't do that"

Sam's point was getting across, the cons were lowering their weapons.

"Have we been tricked?"

Sam didn't know how to answer that she wasn't sure how the whole war started.

"No you chose hear what you wanted to hear, Megatron is not doing all this for the decepticon army but for himself" answered Optimus

"Let us help you" asked Sam

Wing Saber then walked in to the middle of the battlefield.

"What no way are we helping them, they want to destroy us"

"No Wing Saber that's what Megatron wants"

Now the attention was on the decepticons, all of them unsure on where their loyalties lie.

"I am unsure but I want to normal size again and we will help you"

Before Wing Saber could speak Sam made sure there was a truce.

"Help us find the shrink ray you made and return all of you to normal size then you can go back to whatever you want, whether that be Autobots or decepticons"

There was little muttering and Sam seemed to be in control of the agreement right now she walked up to both of them and kneeled down.

"We agree" said one

But then another quickly spoke up "But we did not create the shrink ray"

"How does that work" asked Scattershot

"It was found here at this museum"

Sam was confused but let the bots take care of this themselves.

"Then why return it here?"

"It is a public place so no one could steal it during the day and we take it at night"

The decepticons clearly had chosen a leader out of them although there was only 10 Samantha could see that they wanted what the Autobots wanted peace.
