Chapter 33- Beginning of the end
It had been about nine months and both mothers had gone in to labour at the same time while the fathers waited outside, "I wonder what I could do with that money" Hikaru thought out loud as Ichigo paced in front of him
"nothing cause it will be mine" the strawberry sat next to his fellow captain
"well we'll see, when I win"
They waited hours until one of the attendants told them they could come in, the two walked in and ran up to Unohana, "which one was born first" they said in sync
"they were born at the same time" she told them
"no we can't accept that, who was born first" both still in sync
"I said they were born at the same time" the two captains shrank away when Unohana gave them her stare
"ok the bet is off" they both agreed in sync
"anyway I have a new…" Ichigo looked at Rukia for the gender
"daughter" she said with the baby in her arms
"and I have a…." Hikaru looked at Isane
"son" she said sighing
"then I will name him Tarou, after my brother" Hikaru named his son
"then my daughter is named…" Ichigo started but Rukia interrupted by throwing a shoe in his face
"no I get to name her, her name is Hisana after my sister"
"that is nice but I must ask you to leave" Unohana pushed the two towards the door, "they need their rest"
Year later
Tarou and Hisana chased each other round the garden while Hikaru looked over them, "how did I get stuck doing this" he thought when he heard the two scream
Hikaru ran to the two to find them facing a hollow, "you may be small but you spiritual pressure is massive" it said advancing on them
"that would be me" Hikaru shunpo'ed between the children and the hollow
"then I'll eat you and them" the hollow opened its mouth, about to eat them, when Hikaru drew one sword and cut through the air as well as cutting the hollow in half
4 years later
Hikaru was lounging around in his garden when Tarou ran out of the house shouting his name, "what is it?" the captain asked
"look what I can do" the little boy pointed his finger at the captain, "hado number 1 sho"
Hikaru felt a little pressure, but didn't move at all, "that was good but you can't kill a hollow with that" Hikaru picked up the boy and walked with him to the middle of the garden, "I'll teach you some better spells"
The captain spent the rest of the day teaching the boy more hado spells but by the end he could only perform byakurai without an incantation
"hado number 4 byakurai" a small bit of lightning hit one of the plants and set it on fire
"good but it is late and I'm hungry" Hikaru walked back in to the house with the boy in tow
While that was going on, Ichigo was spending time with Hisana and she had convinced him to do origami, "look what I made" she showed him perfectly made crane
"how did you do that?" he asked looking at the mess of crumbled up paper in front of him
"it's easy if you know how" she said with a huge smile on her face
"you're just like your mother" Ichigo commented while trying to fold the paper in to the right shape
"I also made this" she showed him a paper flower
"ok I give up" he threw down the paper and got up
"don't give up, it's easy" Hisana handed her father a sheet of paper
"fine" Ichigo sat back down and spent the rest of the day trying to get it right, to no avail
5 year later
Hikaru and Tarou stood at opposite ends of the garden with their swords ready, "are you sure you want to do this?" Hikaru asked his son
"yes I know I can last longer than a minute in battle with you"
"ok" Hikaru took one step forward when lightning hit the ground in front of his foot
"what do you think you're doing?" Isane asked
"we were going to fight" Hikaru said
"with real swords, you could hurt him" Isane gave her husband a glare
"this was how I was taught and besides I'm careful, he'll be fine" Hikaru swung his sword to his right and destroyed a fence
"Tarou go play with Hisana" she said taking both their swords, "and you'll clean the house"
"you've become so mean since Tarou was born" Hikaru shuffled in to the house
7 months later
Rukia was out shopping with Masaki and Hisana, they were walking around the stalls in the market, "so Masaki how is it in squad 3" Rukia asked looking around at the stalls
"it great, captain Abarai is nice and he rarely orders us to do anything, he lets us get on with our job" Masaki told her mother
"that doesn't sound like Renji but he might of gotten smarter while being a captain" Rukia commented
"I want a watermelon" Hisana said seeing a stall selling some and tugging on her mother's sleeve
"fine" Rukia walked up to the stall to find Toshiro looking at the watermelons, "captain Hitsugaya"
"captain Hitsugaya" Masaki greeted the captain
"hey it's chibi taicho" Hisana said
"where did you hear that?" he asked a bit annoyed
"Yachiru told me that was your name" Hisana answered
"can we have a watermelon please" Rukia asked the stall owner
"just a sec please" the owner turned to Toshiro and held up a watermelon, "this one is perfect and because you are such a good customer I'll give it to you for free"
Even though he had a smile on the stall owner seemed nervous, "no I can't do that, you have a family so I have to pay" Toshiro insisted
The owner thought for a bit before putting the watermelon down and grabbing Toshiro, "help me they said if I didn't give that to you they would kill my family"
"who said that?" Toshiro asked
"some soul rea…" the stall exploded and consumed all the soul reapers and the little girl in a fire ball
While that was going on, Hikaru was in his workshop working on a project while Tarou wandered about looking at everything when alarms went off everywhere, " I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING" the child shouted jumping back
"oh shit" Hikaru ran in to the office and told Shuhei to evacuate the barracks before returning to his workshop and typing away on his computer
"dad we need to leave" Tarou said tugging on his sleeve
"you need to go" Hikaru said still typing away
"captain I've gotten everyone out" Shuhei ran in to the room
"take Tarou" Hikaru didn't look away from his screen
"no I'm staying" Tarou struggled against Shuhei trying to drag him out
"fine, it's too late anyway" Hikaru grabbed a syringe and injected Tarou with something
"oww" was the last thing the boy said before the entire barracks exploded leaving nothing behind but a smoking pile of ash
Explosions went off around the Seireitei and a chaos ensued but when the soul reapers went to find their captains or lieutenants, they found no one.

And that is it I leave it at a cliffhanger, what happened to the captains… are they alive… I know but you don't any way I am having computer troubles so I might not be able to upload for sometime but review and share and stuff
