Chapter 43- Kenpachi vs Kenpachi
Seireitei
All the captains stood in rank as Izumi gave Momo her report, "so how many of them have been captured?" Momo asked
"11 and 2 of them are captains" Izumi replied
"why don't we have more captains" she asked clearly annoyed
"I'm sorry head captain" Takumi stepped forward, "but the device I developed is quite inefficient and can only show you the location of one traitor at a time, I am truly sorry"
"no need to apologize, Jurou continue torturing them but DO NOT LET THEM DIE" she emphasised the last part, "your all dismissed but Kenpachi"
All the captains left except Kenpachi Noboru, "what is it head captain?"
"the newest location we got was 79 north and that can only be the previous Kenpachi, so I wanted you to deal with him" Momo explained
"it would be my pleasure" Noboru said with an excited gleam in his eye
Cave
Ichigo and Hikaru had visited two locations since and found the captain already missing, "how are they finding so many of us?" Ichigo asked out load
"I don't know but we have places to go" Hikaru said as all the captains sat together
"so Soi Fon and Omeda have been captured" Shunsui commented to try and start a conversation
"yeah we found their zanpakuto and the locals told us they lived there" Ichigo told everyone
"do we have any other leads?" Toshiro asked
"yes we have the location, 79 north" Hikaru told him, "and me and Ichigo are going there now"
"fine but do you really think it is a good idea to bring Kenpachi here?" Mayuri said, "he is a wild animal and they don't like being caged"
"we need him if we are going to take back the Seireitei" Hikaru left along with Ichigo
The two made it to a run-down village in the north 79th district, the people were skinny and fighting over the smallest scrap of food, the captains walked up to some guy sitting against the side of a building, "hey you know where we can find someone?" he asked
"for the right price" the guy said
Hikaru flicked him a coin and the man inspected it, "so who you lookin' for?"
"tall guy loves fighting and always has a pink haired girl at his side" Hikaru described Kenpachi to the guy
"you want that guy" the guy pointed and they followed the finger to see Kenpachi standing on somebodies neck with Yachiru cheering him on
The two started walking towards him when the ground between the two exploded and out of the dust rose a tall muscular man wearing a captains coat, "seems like another phony captain" Hikaru commented
"ZARAKI" the guy screamed, "I'M HERE TO KILL YOU"
"hu" Kenpachi turned his head and looked at the guy, "so you're my next opponent"
"I'M YOUR FINAL OPPONENT" Noboru charged at Kenpachi and the two clashed
Ichigo tried to intervene but Hikaru stopped him, "let's just watch" Hikaru and Ichigo watched as the two hacked and slashed at each other
"I have never had so much fun" Kenpachi said as he cut Noboru down the chest, "what is your name"
"I am Kenpachi Noboru" Noboru stabbed
Kenpachi let out a laugh as he kicked Noboru back, "like someone as weak as you could be Kenpachi"
"you won't be saying that when I kill you" Noboru thrust and Kenpachi blocked then punched Noboru in the face
"YEAH KENNY GO" a pink haired girl appeared next to and surprised the two spectating captains
The two kept going at it, hacking and slashing each other to bits until Kenpachi nearly took off Noboru's arm, "if I don't end this now, then I might do some irreversible damage" the captain whispered to himself, "fine then no choice, gouge out, Nagae" Noboru released his zanpakuto and it transformed in to a two handed axe with a long handle wrapped in blood red cloth
"if you need your zanpakuto to kill me then you're no Kenpachi but as long as you're getting serious then I will too" Kenpachi let out a laugh as he ripped off his eye patch and his spiritual pressure increased ten fold
"you think that'll scare me, YOU'RE DEAD ZARAKI" Noboru screamed as he charged and brought the blade down on Kenpachi, as the blade made contact it shattered in to a million pieces along with Noboru's hopes of winning
"ha you call that a strike" Kenpachi grabbed Noboru's face and slammed him in to the ground, knocking the captain out, "that was fun find me again if you want to fight"
Kenpachi turned his back on Noboru and walked towards the two captains and Yachiru, "what are you two doing here?" he asked
"as you already know Aizen's people are making their move and we need everyone we can get" Hikaru explained
"so I'll finally get some real opponents to fight"
"yeah, now come on we need to get back to the cave" the four of them left and made their way back to the cave
Seireitei
Kenpachi Noboru stood before his fellow captains and the head captain, "I expected more of you, the only other captain to be knocked out is Naoki" Momo lectured
"I'm sorry head captain, I was caught by surprise it won't happen again" Noboru assured her, "when I fight him again I will kill him"
"I want you to stick to the promise or I'll kill you"
"yes mama" Noboru and the other captains were dismissed after that
Izumi was in her barracks cutting up dummies as she always did when Sachiko appeared, "what do you want?" the petit captain asked
"we never go out and have fun anymore, why not"
"because we are under attack and we need to train" Izumi reminded her
"you're so uptight just like your father" Izumi swung her sword and put it to Sachiko's throat
"I'm nothing like that good for nothing" Izumi said through gritted teeth
"well whatever you say, anyway if you want to go out some time you know where I am" Sachiko disappeared
"she is such a handful" Izumi sighed before going back to the training
