"Because of your actions you and your team are being discharged from the United States Navy; however, because you did save the lives of thousands you are being honorably discharged" General Packer spoke to Rachael and her team as they sat in his office.

"Yes, Sir. We fully understand and will pack our belongings and be off the base in an hour" Rachael replied as she stood.

"Rachael before y'all leave keep your ID badges. I know you will need them where you are going and don't worry about turning in your uniforms either" Packer smiled down at the woman that he had personally trained while she attended West Point.

"Yes, Sir. Oh and don't hesitate to call if you ever need our help" Rachael smirked as she reached the door and the boys followed her.

"You bet I will" Packer smirked back as the door closed behind Rachael and she and her teamed left.

As Rachael and the boys packed their things in the house they all shared Rachael's phone began to ring. She tossed the last of her meager belongings into her duffles and picked up the phone.

"Commander Acedo speaking" Rach spoke.

"Hello, Rachael this is SecNav I am aware of your business with SHIELD and the Avengers and I just wanted to inform you that you and your boys will not be losing your clearance. Director Coulson speaks highly of you as does former Director Fury. I would like to have a word with you once you and your boys have settled into your quarters at Avengers headquarters" SecNav answered.

"Thank you and I would love to meet sometime so that we can talk" Rachael replied as she tossed her things into the back of the SUV the seven of them shared and then got into the drivers seat.

"So does Kas know we're coming?" Sebastian asked from the very back.

"Only Tony and Steve know" Ned smirked.

"Doesn't Kas handle all the training for SHIELD and The Avengers?" Chris asked.

"Yep and that's the best part because whenever someone new shows up without her prior knowledge she's gives Steve and Tony so much crap because she likes to be the one to vet their credentials" Ray smirked.

"You are a total jackass to your best friend!" Paul exclaimed.

"We know and she still loves us" Ned smirked as they neared the training facility just outside New York.

"Question, did you and Kas have a thing at one point and time?" Tom asked Ned suddenly.

"Why would you ask that?" Rachael asked before Ned could.

"Because they have a connection that doesn't develop from a friendship, it develops from a relationship" Tom answered.

"We liked each other but at different times and it changed the dynamic of our friendship" Ned shrugged.

"No, dude, you still have a thing for her. It's so obvious!" Nathan exclaimed.

"She's with Steve and I'm not going to screw with that" Ned replied as they pulled up to the gate.

After Rachael did her iris scan and drove in she could see Kas storming out of the base yelling at someone because she didn't know who was coming onto the base and couldn't see into the vehicle because of the dark tint of the windows.

"Who the fuck is coming onto my base Steve? I have not authorized anyone and you know how much you and Tony keeping me out of the loop pisses me off!" Kas yelled as Steve followed her out with a slight smirk on his face, "And you better wipe that smirk off your face before I do it for you!"

"Babe, they've been cleared by SHIELD! What could you find that they wouldn't?" Steve asked knowing what she was going to say.

"A lot!" Kas yelled, "Now who the fuck are you?"

"It's us, dork" Rachael smirked as she rolled down her window.

"What the fuck? I thought y'all weren't coming back for at least a month?" Kas asked in confusion as Rachael and her team got out.

"We got discharged for helping you on your mission" Ned replied giving her a hug.

"I told y'all not to help. I didn't want this! I'm making a call to get y'all reinstated" Kas said with authority in her voice.

"No, Kas don't we want to work with y'all and we are tired of the Navy" Ned replied taking her phone from her hands.

"But y'all are Seals. You're not supposed to be civilians" Kas argued.

"We won't be civilians while working for the Avengers and SHIELD" Nathan countered.

"So you're now a part of my teams. Alright this should be fun" Kas smirked.

"Why do I feel like I'm not to like this?" Chris spoke as they followed Kas to their quarters.

"Because when Mystic Angel trains you she makes three months of Navy Seal training look like a walk in the park" Ned smirked knowing what it is like being trained by her.

"Please tell me what you have gotten us into, Boss" Sebastian sighed.

"Kassandra is the most powerful demigod in existence and has trained over a thousand demigods and has trained some of the worlds most elite military, spies, and assassins. She trained me, Ned and our friends before someone lead us to camp half-blood" Rachael sighed remembering all that they had gone through before Chiron found them and saved them.

"By the time I was eight, Rachael was eleven, and Kas was ten, Kas had more blood on her hands than Natasha Romanoff has in her entire career since she left the Red Room. What she is capable of makes her a natural leader that can defend so many people at one time. After her second ultrasound she killed multiple enemies from the top floor of The Avengers Tower while the rest of the team fought and put herself into a power sleep to save Steve. She will put her life on the line to save others and she does not fear death because she has suffered things worse than death" Ned sighed knowing how much she had faced protecting them and then what more she had done when Dominick and Alexandra had come into the picture.

"Talking about my past isn't going to get us any closer to finding and ending Aeron's rain of terror, so get settled into your quarters and in an hour F.R.I.D.A.Y. will direct you to mine, Steve, and Bucky's quarters for dinner" Kas spoke as she opened a door labeled Alpha Mike Foxtrot.

"You named us Adios Mother Fuckers?" Sebastian smirked.

"Yeah I did, I figured it would be funny" Kas grinned as she waked away and the faint sound of children's feet running could be heard.

"Adrien, Alex, and Adara were watching from around the corner and ran when they saw Kas was coming" Ray smiled as she walked into the large apartment with the rest of the team.

"Why would they run when she started walking towards them?" Nathan asked.

"Because they're supposed to be napping" Ned chuckled knowing as well as Rachael why they had run.

"How old are her kids if they are able to run around and process that what they are doing is wrong?" Tom asked.

"Seven months now. They're the children of a demigod and an immortal; mentally they age ten times as quickly as normal children, but to allow them to blend in a little bit better their bodies age at the rate of a human until they are 18" Ned replied as he walked into the room next to Rachael's.

"Can someone dumb that down a bit?" Chris asked.

"The children's minds are at the age of a three year old's, but their bodies are that of a seven month old's" FRIDAY answered for Rachael and Ned.

"Okay, that's pretty cool" Paul spoke at FRIDAY's response.

"Have their powers started to show yet?" Sebastian asked FRIDAY.

"No, but if Angel and Tony's calculations are correct they should begin emerging within the next few months" she replied.

"Ray, isn't that dangerous?" Paul called from his room.

"For most children with godly blood, yes, but Kas, Tony, and Bruce have more than enough combined intelligence to create little objects that will allow the children to turn off and on their powers like Kas and Tony created for her when she was a child and that she modified for Ward" Rachael replied.

"Can't that be harmful to the kids?" Nathan asked.

"It can if the individual that created the devices didn't do so properly, but Kas knows how to do it properly. The whole point of the devices is to allow her enough time to properly train them in how to safely use their powers for good, like she is doing with Ward and any other gifted recruits that we bring in" Ned responded walking into the kitchen.

"Wait! You said Kas and Tony created devises for Kas when she was a kid, how long has she known Tony?" Tom exclaimed.

"As long as I have, so since she was about four if I remember correctly" Ned replied.

"She went off the grid when she was about seven because she realized that there were a lot of people out there that wanted to kill her. She never really got the opportunity to live the life that a child should have, but she never cared about being like everyone else, so long as she could protect the one's she loves" Ray spoke as she let her hair out of the military bun.

"Question what happened to her foster parents exactly?" Nathan asked.

"If everyone is unpacked and out of their uniforms I can tell y'all all at once" Rachael spoke knowing that it was best if she told them all at once.

The boys came into the living room and sat waiting for Rachael to tell them the story that only she and six other people that were still alive knew. The mood in the room became slightly somber as all of the men could tell this was going to be hard for her to tell them. Those that knew what had happened had made a silent promise never to discuss what had happened unless someone that they truly trusted asked and this was a big demonstration of trust.

"When Kas was 18 we all decided to go back to California to visit our families for the holidays, we hadn't gone back in years because all of us where always busy over the holidays, but this year our superiors told us to go home and enjoy our families. In reality we should have just stayed in New York, Kas had gotten a bad feeling as soon as we were told to go home for the holidays, but our families insisted that we still come home. When we landed at LAX Kas was immediately on edge, but that's kind of normal for her so we didn't think anything of it. Jonathan and Amanda picked us up and told us that the church was throwing a huge black-tie holiday party two days after we got there. We went and bought clothes for the party and the day of the party came, we had been there for about an hour when things went bad. Aeron's army attacked, we got all of the civilians out, but they outnumbered us twenty to one. It was me, Kas, Alex, Dominick, T.J., Marshal, Jonathan, Amanda, and David against them. Kas shifted into her armor like she can and provided us all with weapons; she screamed for Jonathan to get himself and Amanda out, but they were so stubborn and insisted on fighting with us. She didn't argue with them, but because she knew something was going to go wrong even before we left New York she blames herself for what happened next. We were so distracted by the fight that we didn't know until later on that Aeron had killed her foster parents. We only know that it was him because just as he killed them Kas turned around to kill another member of his army. She saw it happen because they were right behind her and he killed them to try and kill her. Gods, the scream that came from her was the most heart-wrenching sound that I have ever heard. Once he knew he had no chance of killing her, he vanished. She's never recovered from the pain, but then again she never actually wanted to because sh uses the pain to improve her control of her powers" Ray relayed the story to her team, and as she spoke she could see the pieces fit together in Ned's mind.

Suddenly, Ned bolted up from his seat and walked out of their apartment. He knew where Kas's apartment was and without even thinking about it was in front of her door in seconds. His fist was raised to knock on the door when it opened from the inside.

"I know you're there Ned, just come on in, no need to knock" Kas's voice spoke from within the apartment.

"Why did you never tell me that the one year that I didn't come home was the year that you're parents died?" Ned questioned with hurt in his voice.

"Because you didn't need to worry about it. What happened to them is my fault and I will live with that guilt for the rest of my life" Kas replied.

"Kas, it's no one's fault but Aeron's. He's the one that killed them to get to you, and he's lucky that you didn't kill him right then and there" Ned sighed sitting down with his best friend.

"When I kill him, the rest of my powers will be unlocked. I know that I have killed many, but he is my key. He is the reason that I am not as powerful as I should be" Kas sighed as Steve came in with the kids.

"Then we need to change that don't we" Steve stated as the triplets ran off to their room.

"Steve, you can't possibly want me to kill someone!" Kas exclaimed.

"Babe, it comes with our line of work, and he is the worst of the worst. You are supposed to bring peace to all of the realms, and he threatens that peace. I know that you have more blood on your hand than Nat does and that hasn't made me want to leave. You came into our lives because of him and we're not letting you go" Steve smiled down at Kas.

"Then we need to start working even harder" Kas sighed.
