"Boss! We found him!" Leo yelled running down the halls of The Avengers Tower in search of Kas.
"You found Aeron?" Kas yelled phasing through a wall behind him.
"Ah!" Leo screamed and then composed himself, "Yes I did."
"Where is he?" Kas seemed to growl as asked.
Leo stepped back before replying as he saw her powers become visible slightly, "He's just outside of Athens."
"Greece?" Ned asked walking through the door of the room that they had all been in.
"Precisely" Jemma replied walking up to them.
"How many does he have with him?" Rachael asked.
"His entire army" Skye answered.
"That's over 2,000 soldiers and at least half of them have powers. Thankfully we sealed the breach in the Underworld and have returned all of the souls he took" Alex spoke.
"Alert Coulson, Professor Xavier, Artemis, and Chiron. We must be air born in an hour. This ends now" Kas spoke with authority in her voice.
"Yes ma'am!" Leo, Jemma, and Skye exclaimed running to do what she ordered them to do.
"Suit up" Kas said to her friends as she walked to the elevator to go to her and Steve's apartment.
Rachael, Alex, and Ned nodded as the doors shut. When the doors opened she walked through to their room to change.
"TJ is on his way here with Odell so that someone is here to watch the triplets" Steve stated walking out of the armory that was hidden behind a wall in their walk-in.
"Is he bringing Cruz as well? I'd much rather have two inhuman's rather than just one watching our kids" Kas asked as she began changing into her tactical catsuit and her armor.
"Yeah, I brought Victor as well" TJ's voice answered the question.
"Oh, hey guys!" Kas smiled as she walked out and her armor continued to assemble itself onto her body.
"I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to that" Odell breathed as he watched the armor floating in the air and then attaching itself to her.
"I've been able to do this for years and I'm still not used to it" Kas smirked as she ate a protein bar.
"TJ, Angel, Captain, everyone is ready to go" FRIDAY spoke through the system.
"We will be there in a second" Steve replied.
"Adrien, Alexander, Adara! Come here please!" Kas yelled causing a soft sound of feet running to be heard.
"Yes Mom?" Adara asked for her brothers and her.
"We have to fly to Greece for work in a second and Odell and Victor are going to stay and watch y'all" Kas smiled at her kids.
"Okay, please be safe and come home" Adrien replied.
"We will and if anything bad happens here you are to help Odell and Cruz fight. Be good for them" Steve smiled.
"We will" the triplets chimed with smiles as they hugged their parents goodbye.
Three hours later at a base in Athens, Greece.
"What is the game plan?" Skye asked from beside Coulson.
"Unfortunately, this is a kill mission" Perdita sighed from beside Kas and Steve.
"Aeron and his army will kill you. They will not stop if you disarm them. 75% of his army has powers and will use them to kill us even if it means losing their life doing so. So the game plan is to kill or be killed" Kas explained.
"For those of you that do not believe that you can take another persons life speak up now and you will stay here" Steve announced looking around the team leaders that were in the war tent with them.
No one spoke up, and you could see that they all were willing to do what it takes to end this war once and for all.
"Also, tell your team members that if they see anyone from our side with powers coming towards them to get out of the way. We do not want to accidentally hurt or kill one of our own" Rachael stated.
"You are all dismissed to debrief your teams. We will march out in thirty minutes" Kas spoke calmly with authority in her voice.
Kas may not have been as high ranking as Director Coulson, but there was no argument that she was in charge when it came to things like this. She was the one that the most experience and had true leadership skills. She commanded a room as soon as she walked in and right now Steve watched in amazement as she strolled around the tent prepping herself for the battle to come. There was not a trace of worry or fear that could be seen in her and it gave those around her great courage. No one truly knew what she had seen growing up, not even her foster brothers, her best friends, or even the Gods, but there was no doubt that she had seen more than enough to have completely changed her into a horrible person. But despite all the evil, and pain she had grown up seeing she still was a great person that sought to protect others and there would be no changing that.
"Angel, there are people here to see you" Ward spoke stepping into the tent.
"Send them in" she responded not turning from the thermals she was looking at.
"Daughter" Aphrodite's voice spoke as several steps could be heard walking in.
"Mother?" Kas questioned snapping around and finding her mother and the eleven other major Gods standing behind her.
"Kas we are here to fight with you and your people. We have let Aeron terrorize this planet for far too long" Zeus spoke smiling at his granddaughter's best friend and the woman that would soon rule over all of the realms.
"The gods willingness to aid in our fight pleases me, but my one condition in accepting your help is that Aeron is left to me. I will not unlock the full potential of my powers unless I kill him. He is the key to me being able to rule to the best of my ability" Kas replied with so much authority that even the gods did not dare challenge her.
"I believe that can be done" Ares smirked.
"Then ready yourselves for battle" Kas grinned as she reached for her mask.
"Angel, I apologize for interrupting once agian, but there are more here to see you" Ward stated stepping into the tent again looking fearful.
"Send them in, oh and Ward meet your father, Lord Zeus. Lord Zeus this is your son Grant Ward" Kas smiled as she nodded.
"Grant?" Zeus gasped when he looked at his son that he had not seen since he was born.
"Father?" Ward breathed as Sif and the Warriors Three walked in with Thor and Loki.
"After this battle is over you two will have more than enough time to catch up. Now if you will we have a battle to get to" Kas smirked knowing why part of her Asgardian family was here.
"Yes, ma'am" Ward nodded exiting the tent.
"Aeron is to be left to me, and his soldiers must be killed. They will not stop until they are dead or the magic he has weaved into them is broken by his death. I will not be able to rule to the best of my abilities with full access to all of my powers unless I kill him myself" Kas informed the Asgardians that had arrived.
"Yes your Highness" they spoke bowing their heads understanding that she would soon begin taking her rightful spot as the ruler of the nine realms that would unify everyone and bring about peace.
"Now if all of you would leave that would be much appreciated. I must speak to my father and mother" Kas spoke causing everyone to nod and leave.
"What is it, Daughter?" Loki asked.
"I know that the both of you will want to use your powers to help me, but this time you cannot do so. I have to fight this battle on my own with regards to powers. I have already spoken to the others that would use their powers to help me fight and they understand. If you cannot do this then I will have no other choice but to suppress your powers and lock you up here until the fight is done" Kas spoke with her head held high holding her ground.
"As you wish, Daughter" Loki and Aphrodite sighed knowing there was no fighting with their daughter and knowing that she was more than capable of doing as she said.
"Thank you, now lets go. I am tired of this mosquito that buzzes in my ear" Kas smirked sliding her mask onto her face.
The three walked out to find everyone waiting for her word to move out. She stood in the same armor she wore when she fought Dominick, but this time you could see that power radiate off the immortal. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that she was going to end Aeron's reign of terror once and for all.
"You all have received your orders and know what to do. Today is the day that this destruction that Aeron has been causing will come to an end. Remember to stay out of the way of those of us that have powers if you do have any yourself, and that Aeron's men will not stop unless they are killed or I have severed the magic that he has weaved over them. This is the start of what will be peace throughout all nine realms that will be united. Now move out!" Kas spoke with authority in her voice as she stood before her army.
There was a whooping that came from those fighting on her side that day and then the unmistakable sound of boots marching could be heard. Moments later they two armies stood facing each other on a large barren field in Athens, the two leaders stood at the fronts of them staring the other down to see who would make the first move. Kas had spent her entire life ending the fight and making sure she never started it, and this was a fight that had been going on for two long. She would end it for good and he would spend the rest of his life in Tartuarus along with all of his people. Her helmet slowly collapsed so that he could see the face that he thought he had a shot at defeating.
"Aeron, you have run out of time! Your reign of terror ends here, today, on this battle field. You have killed those that I love in a lust for power that you cannot hope to control. You made a deal with the devil and that deal ends by my hand! There is no need for further blood shed of innocent people. Fight me here today and let our armies be!" Kas bellowed.
"Oh, Kassandra, you are so naive if you really think that I will just let my soldiers sit by as I kill you! I want all that oppose me to die, so all of us will fight!" Aeron yelled back and with his response Kas' helmet materialized onto her head once again and the hood fell from her body.
She charged across the field, in full battle-mode as both armies ran towards one another. Her wings slithered out from her under her armor as she leaped through the air and their bodies collided. She knew she was in a dangerous situation being surrounded by his people but she knew that she could fight them and him at the same time if need be. She spun one of her swords in her right hand as they circled each other in the midst of the chaos of the battle field. Aeron sent an arching blow that she countered and sent a bolt of electricity at him, striking him in the chest and sending him flying a few feet. His eyes were wide with shock as he stood up to fight again.
"Surprised that I'm stronger?" Kas smirked from behind her helmet.
"Your death should have weakened you" Aeron replied with a hint of fear in his voice.
"So you thought, but unlike you, I have to gods on my side and they didn't want me to be set back because you ripped my heart to shreds" Kas shrugged as she flawlessly countered his moves.
Several minutes went by and Kas could see that he was weakening. With a one swift move she picked Aeron up Darth Vader style and threw back to the ground. He couldn't move as an invisible force pressed down on him holding him to the ground. The part of her helmet that covered her mouth slid away so that he could see her face completely.
"You'll die if you stay here, Kas" Aeron struggled to speak from the pain that he was in.
"I died the day you killed my parents, died again the day Dominick died, and then again when I had to kill him myself. Do you know how it felt?" Kas hissed with rage storming in her eyes.
"No... no I don't" Aeron swallowed with terror in his eyes.
"It felt like that" she replied ripping his heart from his chest and crushing it in her hand.
Creating a force field around herself and his body, she set his heart and his ring on fire together in her hands so that there was no chance he could come back. As she burned his body she whispered a curse sentencing to him to Tartuarus and making sure that no magic could bring him back. As she finished and let down the force field she could see that battle field was covered in the blood of his soldiers, but none of hers were dead. Those of his that were still alive were looking around in confusion as to how they had gotten there and why. When she went to take a step away from Aeron's body she felt a massive surge of pain that sent a screech from her lips as she doubled over in pain.
"Kas!" Steve yelled running towards her.
"Get back! Everyone get back!" Kas yelled causing everyone to stop and step back.
Aphrodite and Loki started to create some spells in their minds to help their daughter, but they stopped as she head whipped up at them and she glared them down. She screamed as she felt the rest of her powers unlock and put up a force field around herself that would protect everyone else from what was happening. Ward and Steve had to resist the urge to step towards her knowing what the pain of transformation felt like. Every scream that ripped from her body echoed off the hills around them.
"Coulson, begin the clean up!" Kas ordered through gritted teeth.
He nodded and gave orders for people to start the process of collecting and disposing of the bodies, and collecting all of the weapons and armor. He knew that to disobey her orders even if he was her boss was not a wise idea. Suddenly news choppers where over the field and Coulson looked to Natasha to get rid of them. She nodded and grabbed Bobbie and May to help her. There was no telling how much longer the transformation was going to last and how bad it was going to get, and everyone knew that Kas would feel extremely guilty if a civilian got hurt because of her.
Everyone felt their hearts breaking, especially Steve, as they heard her screams turn into whimpers and tears streamed down Kas' face. She was curled tightly into herself as power moved around her in the bubble she had created. Suddenly, the whimpering stopped a final screech ripped from her lips as she took off into the air in a blur of light, fire, electricity, water, and earth. She moved like a rocket through the atmosphere until she was halfway between Earth and the moon. She hovered with her arms outstretched and her head up as the rest of her powers struck her and she glowed with power. The tattoos that she once had became bright and looked brand new as new ones covered almost all of her body. When the transformation was finally done Kas sighed in relief and glided back to Earth, back to the battle field, and back to her friends and family.
"Oh thank Gods you're okay!" Steve exclaimed as Kas gracefully landed.
"I'm fine, Steve. I promise," Kas smiled as her wings went back into her back, "I feel complete now."
"Did you get bigger?" Skye asked walking up to Kas and Steve.
"I think so" Kas smiled realizing she was now taller than Steve in her heeled boots.
"Wow" Rachael breathed looking at her best friend.
Kas was now a couple inches taller making her about 6 foot, her emerald green eyes had gone from a dark green to a bright almost fake looking green, her figure was fuller, you could feel the power and authority that came from her, her long, curly, blood red hair was now even longer, curlier, and redder. Everyone then saw that she was now covered in tattoos as she shifted out of her armor and catsuit into sneakers, jean shorts, and a crop top. The designs were intricate and a perfect marriage of Norse and Greek ruins. She made even hardest gangster look like a pussy with her ink and muscles and even the most beautiful woman in the world could not compete with her beauty. Kas suddenly furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Rachael, Alexandra, TJ, Marshall, Skye, David, Percy, Annabeth, Ned, Wanda, Lincoln, Peter.
"Why have I never realized it before?" Kas breathed.
"Realized what? Why are you looking at us like that?" Peter asked seeming scared.
"Ray, Alex, TJ, Marshall, Skye, David, Percy, Annabeth, Ned, Wanda, Lincoln, and Peter none of yawls powers are fully unlocked. That's what she meant when she said those closest to me would grow with my full transition. I didn't understand at the time, but now I do! Mac! Steve! You two also have powers that you're not even aware lies within you!" Kas exclaimed excitedly.
"What does this all mean?" Marshall asked not fully understanding what she was saying.
"You all are my family. The closest people to me. Those that don't have locked powers will grow with my transition in a personal way! We have to go to the cabin!" Kas exclaimed as she saw that Rachael understood what was going on.
"Coulson, do you need our help our can we go?" Steve asked beginning to understand as well.
"Go, I've got this handled" Coulson smiled.
"Nat, Bruce, I need y'all to come as well" Kas smiled at them as everyone began walking to one of the jets.
"Okay?" Nat asked in confusion following her with Bruce right behind her.
